- 5:53Speaker 7: of it. Somebody texted, Canada is only good because they
- 5:56Speaker 7: have a US coach. I didn't know that.

- 6:42Speaker 4: Look, if they were playing another if they're playing a
- 6:45Speaker 4: team from maybe South America, or if they were playing
- 6:48Speaker 4: a team in Concker Calf in the same region as them,
- 6:52Speaker 4: maybe what.
- 6:55Speaker 3: God bless you. But no, they're gonna have the crowd. Yeah,
- 7:01Speaker 3: I'm not worried about the crowd.
- 7:03Speaker 4: And I hear you, you know Bay Area, you don't
- 7:05Speaker 4: think ooh, intimidating atmosphere.
- 7:08Speaker 3: But they'll have the crowd.
- 7:09Speaker 4: They have no excuse, there's no excuse. They got a
- 7:14Speaker 4: draw that's very winnable. They are fully healthy, they're own
- 7:20Speaker 4: home soil, and they're going to have the energy.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Of the crowd.
- 7:24Speaker 5: And oh yeah, there's been a build up to this

- 7:58Speaker 7: night to zero. Do it all.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Yeah, usually didn't go their way, No.
- 8:03Speaker 7: But it did this time. No, I don't think they

- 8:31Speaker 3: Sometimes sometimes in those seats you know you never.
- 8:33Speaker 7: Known wants to be different he does.
- 8:36Speaker 9: You could be one of the ones with like I
- 8:38Speaker 9: am shocked I did not get a message from Danny
- 8:40Speaker 9: last night.
- 8:40Speaker 3: It could be one of those people you see in
- 8:42Speaker 3: the stands.
- 8:42Speaker 8: It's like you're wearing a jersey for the US of
- 8:44Speaker 8: Mexico scores, you take it off, you got the Mexico
- 8:46Speaker 8: underneath it.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I'm just pulling for the winning h Mexicans.

- 9:05Speaker 3: And he says, screw Puerto Rico. I guess I'm just
- 9:06Speaker 3: gonna go.
- 9:08Speaker 7: He's got them all. I feel like Danny told me
- 9:12Speaker 7: that I could be getting.
- 9:12Speaker 3: That wrong, but I feel I don't know recording.
- 9:16Speaker 7: I'm hosting a watch party tonight and it's gonna be
- 9:21Speaker 7: so much fun. And if you tell the well, okay,
- 9:23Speaker 7: so we're gonna have our own little reserve spot, our
- 9:26Speaker 7: own bar. Adam's like opening up the mobile bar. We're
- 9:31Speaker 7: gonna have our own little personal bar. And then if
- 9:33Speaker 7: you say O t B to the bartender, will give
- 9:36Speaker 7: you any Steyn Probably nois obviously for the price of
- 9:41Speaker 7: a pint.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Okay, shut up. I mean, do you whisper it?
- 9:46Speaker 1: Hey?
- 9:46Speaker 3: Hey, oh TV?
- 9:49Speaker 7: And then you got a howl when you say it?
- 9:50Speaker 3: You gotta do it cooler. I mean half its half
- 9:58Speaker 3: because if it's double the size Brice half a or basically,
- 10:02Speaker 3: could they also have like a wolf and still did
- 10:05Speaker 3: the same deal.
- 10:06Speaker 7: Yeah, if you go you howl like a wolf? About
- 10:11Speaker 7: you tequila shot?
- 10:14Speaker 4: She thought about it and then she's like, oh day
- 10:18Speaker 4: for the first two howlers, the first two dollars they
- 10:22Speaker 4: go into the soccer watch party, lad.
- 10:26Speaker 7: Three, Yeah, we're getting that. Well tequila, no lime, no salt,
- 10:35Speaker 7: just straight to.
- 10:35Speaker 8: The It's not like you get a free shot. Pick
- 10:38Speaker 8: your tequila any on the wall. Probably this level down.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Here, that's right. This is tequila shipped in from China, Taca.
- 10:50Speaker 8: So that yeah, yeah, yeah, tako, Okay, getting off the government.
- 10:55Speaker 8: Since I started history here, since I started here in
- 10:59Speaker 8: twenty nine, team, like you would think that that's like
- 11:02Speaker 8: a hot commodity billboard.
- 11:03Speaker 3: It's right there.
- 11:04Speaker 8: Going into downtown there is a blue billboard with a
- 11:07Speaker 8: taco bottle being poured out and it's like a talk ad.
- 11:09Speaker 8: It has been there for the seven years that I've
- 11:12Speaker 8: worked here.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Never changed in the taco is still a thing.
- 11:15Speaker 5: It's right when you get a billboard, we're not sureka
- 11:20Speaker 5: it is.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll take a picture of it tomorrow. And I
- 11:23Speaker 3: believe you. No, I believe you. I was saying, like
- 11:25Speaker 3: nobody's changed the billboard.
- 11:27Speaker 5: I gotta say, as long as there's college students and
- 11:29Speaker 5: Britta filters out there, taco will remain a thing. Yes,
- 11:34Speaker 5: Triple Distilled, Buddy Triple Filtered back in the day, would
- 11:38Speaker 5: run through that Britta filter. We had two of them,
- 11:41Speaker 5: one for Kentucky Gold and one for Kentucky Gold Whiskey
- 11:44Speaker 5: and one for Taca.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Smooth.
- 11:48Speaker 5: When you're in twenty one, right, Yeah, that's what they
- 11:52Speaker 5: gave me for when we were in college.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Not really. It was Jaeger, Jaeger and Gold. Oh yeah,
- 11:58Speaker 3: Jaeger Bomb, cold Slider Rose, Oh, Yager.
- 12:05Speaker 4: I could taste there right now, Oh, smell it, taste
- 12:08Speaker 4: it and feel it.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Good time.
- 12:11Speaker 4: And there was always somebody from New Orleans. I was
- 12:13Speaker 4: passing it out, Yaeger bomb, good time, yeagerbombs.
- 12:20Speaker 5: But yeah, twenty one, twenty one plus clear, uh duh,
- 12:24Speaker 5: obviously this guy's deal.
- 12:27Speaker 3: I was twenty one.
- 12:28Speaker 5: It's illegal at the end of my sophomore year. So well, yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 5: I mean you were you're drinking in junior in high
- 12:35Speaker 5: school if you're twenty one. Yeah, definitely not because I
- 12:40Speaker 5: went to a Christian school. Map you got kicked out
- 12:43Speaker 5: for stuff like that's true. It's a joke because you
- 12:47Speaker 5: were super old because you held everybody, held everybody back
- 12:50Speaker 5: like five years. See, ya could win football games and
- 12:53Speaker 5: not have to red shirt. When we got to school.
- 12:56Speaker 7: Somebody texted after you said five to one. They said,
- 12:59Speaker 7: the Matt Flink is death. America loses tonight. We know
- 13:03Speaker 7: who's fault it is.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Yeah for bosnia. Yeah, you didn't clarify. It can't be
- 13:11Speaker 3: on you exactly.
- 13:12Speaker 4: This is like one of those times where you say
- 13:14Speaker 4: a sweep and she got swept.
- 13:17Speaker 7: Hey, I need to clarify.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, we clarified. America is gonna win. Bosi sorry.
- 13:27Speaker 8: His studio to baseball seasons ago and she's like, guys,
- 13:29Speaker 8: I need a run rule. Boy, we got us a
- 13:31Speaker 8: run rule, but only got then Flynn asked for a
- 13:35Speaker 8: sweep a few times this year, so hey, it counted.
- 13:41Speaker 8: You didn't clarify.
- 13:42Speaker 5: You're still There was a point in the baseball season
- 13:44Speaker 5: there was like five sweeps in a row.
- 13:49Speaker 3: We got a couple of them. You were at a
- 13:50Speaker 3: bit of a hot streak on a hot streak, plenty
- 13:53Speaker 3: of sweeps. Mm hmm.
- 13:54Speaker 4: The USA doesn't win tomorrow, I'm not coming in or tonight,
- 13:57Speaker 4: I'm not coming in.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Let's still old. Well, it's a packed None of us
- 14:03Speaker 3: show up and just air.
- 14:07Speaker 7: That would give me anxiety.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Play the Law Firm, nobody show up? Yeah, yeah, play
- 14:11Speaker 4: the LA Play the law firm right here?
- 14:13Speaker 7: What they is there the best morning show? Play them instead?
- 14:19Speaker 3: JK, they're the worst.
- 14:22Speaker 4: You're the worst.
- 14:23Speaker 3: You're the worst. Everybody saying that.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Everybody says it.
- 14:28Speaker 7: They don't even talk about anything.
- 14:31Speaker 3: What is that with these lists?
- 14:34Speaker 5: Like, let me ask you what's up with this? What's
- 14:36Speaker 5: up with Bosnia? I have an extra name now.
- 14:40Speaker 8: So we were the three of us were talking about
- 14:42Speaker 8: that after the show, and Landros like, wait, that's not
- 14:44Speaker 8: two different.
- 14:45Speaker 7: Places, Like we're talking about two different places this whole time.
- 14:47Speaker 8: I get it because nobody outside of the soccer score
- 14:50Speaker 8: card ever says Bosnia hers A Govina. Like nobody says
- 14:54Speaker 8: that it's just Bosnia? Why is it like that?
- 14:59Speaker 4: And we'll find out on the other side called the
- 15:03Speaker 4: radio tas people. You'll find out when we come back here.
- 15:07Speaker 1: TV Off the Bench Tigers turn talkers. This is off

- 16:42Speaker 5: that's just we're getting we're getting some places here.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Wait, you're not ready to go? Yeah?
- 16:48Speaker 5: No, I mean I thought there was going to be
- 16:51Speaker 5: like a cool like Bozia Herzegovina story, like there was
- 16:55Speaker 5: some sort of battle. Thought they couldn't agree on the
- 16:58Speaker 5: name or whatever.
- 17:00Speaker 3: It's just like base they were fighting. They're like, hey, hey,
- 17:03Speaker 3: let's just do it.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Let's just do both.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Let's just do both. You know, you know, let's agree agree.
- 17:07Speaker 4: You're fighting, you're mad, I'm mad, Let's just do both.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Yeah, you thought that was it. Yeah, it's not.
- 17:13Speaker 5: It's just the northern and southern part of the country
- 17:16Speaker 5: basically calls it something a little bit different.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:21Speaker 5: The name Bosnia and Herzegovina has existed for centuries, but
- 17:26Speaker 5: people only began using it consistently in international conversation during
- 17:30Speaker 5: the early nineteen nineties around the breakup of Yugoslavia damn Socialists.
- 17:40Speaker 5: Bosnia and Herzegvinia are administered as distinct but closely linked regions.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Mm hmm. Yeah, it's just like basically the northern and
- 17:49Speaker 3: southern part.
- 17:50Speaker 5: They're just like, hey, Bosia did its thing, got its independence,
- 17:55Speaker 5: you know, final war, and here's a Gavino's like, hey, like,
- 17:59Speaker 5: we're pretty.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Close, see y'all. Can we join up? Okay, I want
- 18:04Speaker 3: to start a thing, link up.
- 18:06Speaker 5: Yeah, but people often normally short it to just Bosnia.
- 18:09Speaker 5: That's why I've always known it as Bosnia, because it
- 18:13Speaker 5: does make up about eighty percent of the land of Bosnia.
- 18:16Speaker 3: HER's a gevino.
- 18:19Speaker 8: Can they just can they just pay off the southern
- 18:22Speaker 8: part and be like, can we just call ourselves at Bosnia?
- 18:24Speaker 3: Yep? It seems easier on everybody. Yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 5: So after nineteen ninety two and onward, after declaring independence
- 18:30Speaker 5: of nineteen ninety two and during the Bosnian War, international media,
- 18:33Speaker 5: governments and organizations overwhelming use the full official name Bosian
- 18:37Speaker 5: Herzegovina to distinguish the new country from the historical region
- 18:40Speaker 5: of Bosnia, and to reflect that it includes both the
- 18:43Speaker 5: regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. There you go, all right,
- 18:49Speaker 5: and America about the kick you all right? The face tonight?
- 18:52Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna call it Bosnia.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Yeah, Bosnia too.
- 18:58Speaker 5: We're we're just gonna call you be a h.
- 19:02Speaker 3: BH. Hey your BH. I'm with you? So can we
- 19:08Speaker 3: agree that? Was gonna call them BH the rest of
- 19:09Speaker 3: the morning. I'm good with it. I can call Bosnia.
- 19:14Speaker 3: So we don't agree, got it? BH does sounding more disrespectful?
- 19:18Speaker 3: So I think I'm with you. Well, that's the point
- 19:20Speaker 3: I'm all about for today.
- 19:22Speaker 4: BH is more disrespectful than leaving out a portion of
- 19:24Speaker 4: the country.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Should I even say in Bosnia? Like that's too long? Okay?
- 19:30Speaker 4: Well BH, it's just funny, all right, It's gonna be
- 19:37Speaker 4: BS if you don't beat BH.
- 19:39Speaker 3: How about that.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Bosnia is the sixty fourth ranked team in the FIFA rankings.
- 19:46Speaker 3: The United States of America is the seventeenth. We got it?
- 19:50Speaker 4: If I'm not mistaken. And I said this the other day,
- 19:53Speaker 4: as it was, I said it as truth. I think
- 19:57Speaker 4: it's true. That's the well, because we were talking about
- 20:03Speaker 4: lowest rates. How do we you know, highest, lowest, how
- 20:06Speaker 4: do we kind of how do we do this deal
- 20:09Speaker 4: the lowest rated team? And then where we settled? Yeah,
- 20:13Speaker 4: sixty four I think so lowest?
- 20:14Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, yeah, so actually I don't remember.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Now, well that's a good question. Yeah, yeah, I would
- 20:23Speaker 3: say lowest. Okay, going lowest.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's you know, that's the first time you
- 20:29Speaker 4: hear like a status like it's the lowest rated team
- 20:31Speaker 4: to ever make.
- 20:31Speaker 3: It to the Do you want to be a low
- 20:36Speaker 3: rank though? Right? Ghana?
- 20:38Speaker 4: So, Ghana might be in the conversation, Kate Verdie might
- 20:40Speaker 4: be in the conversation, but either way they're sixty fourth, right, Okay,
- 20:47Speaker 4: Kate Verdi is sixty seventh and Ghana is seventy third.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Either way, you have a drawl that you have to win.
- 20:57Speaker 3: You have to.
- 20:58Speaker 4: This World Cup would be a massive, massive failure if
- 21:02Speaker 4: you don't get to the round of sixteen, massive failure.
- 21:06Speaker 4: And all the equity, all the good equity you built
- 21:08Speaker 4: up during this World Cup, I.
- 21:11Speaker 5: Know, not the beauty of sports do so many good things,
- 21:15Speaker 5: but like, what have you done for me lately, and
- 21:18Speaker 5: it's been awesome. Last couple of weeks been awesome. US
- 21:21Speaker 5: say nothing brings people together like sports. Well, you're ready
- 21:26Speaker 5: to after those first couple of games, you're ready to
- 21:28Speaker 5: hug any American walking down the street, doesn't matter. Ye,
- 21:34Speaker 5: come on in here, brother, get my mits around you USA.
- 21:40Speaker 5: But you lose one game, then all of a sudden,
- 21:43Speaker 5: back to you know, young kids, they don't want to
- 21:45Speaker 5: play soccer anymore.
- 21:45Speaker 3: They're going back to football.
- 21:46Speaker 5: Yeah, uh dad, that was cool for a second, but
- 21:50Speaker 5: they lost that game, so gotta just play basketball.
- 21:54Speaker 3: The reality we live in gotta win.
- 21:57Speaker 7: Did y'all see the uh Freddy stuff going down?
- 22:01Speaker 4: Yeah, explain that to me like I'm a child, because
- 22:03Speaker 4: I am.
- 22:05Speaker 7: Okay. So for the people that don't know who Freddie is,
- 22:08Speaker 7: just in case, because you know, not everybody has context
- 22:10Speaker 7: for everything. Freddie was on Twitter and he's a German
- 22:15Speaker 7: who's in or Yeah he deleted his Twitter like so
- 22:21Speaker 7: Freddie was on Twitter. German was in America for the
- 22:27Speaker 7: World Cup, basically did a tour of the South and
- 22:31Speaker 7: was loving every second of it, basically live tweeting his experience.
- 22:34Speaker 7: And then a bunch of different corporations got in on
- 22:36Speaker 7: it and whatever. Right, Like people were capitalizing off of Freddy,
- 22:40Speaker 7: which is fine, Like it's basically America in an HL
- 22:43Speaker 7: like so fast forward. Freddie deleted his Twitter. Rest in
- 22:51Speaker 7: peace to Freddie's Twitter, and then on his Instagram he
- 22:55Speaker 7: said basically like Twitter's way too toxic. People started digging
- 22:59Speaker 7: up old tweets that really weren't that bad, you know,
- 23:01Speaker 7: the typical like people get so miserable they want to
- 23:04Speaker 7: cancel somebody kind of thing.
- 23:06Speaker 4: So theyets from Freddy.
- 23:10Speaker 7: From Freddy, I mean like all he was doing was
- 23:13Speaker 7: offering a really nice perspective on the American South, Like
- 23:18Speaker 7: can the South gets some love? Yeah, let him eat
- 23:20Speaker 7: some ranch.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Then he go to l s U.
- 23:25Speaker 7: He did so poor Freddy. He deleted his Twitter. He
- 23:32Speaker 7: still has Instagram, so on his Instagram he was saying,
- 23:35Speaker 7: like it's just way too toxic on Twitter, and people
- 23:37Speaker 7: just started getting out of hand. Here it is. He
- 23:42Speaker 7: had planned to deactivate the Twitter all along. Too many
- 23:45Speaker 7: people seem to have a problem with us having a
- 23:47Speaker 7: genuinely good time here in the country, and this is
- 23:50Speaker 7: ruining the fun a bit for us because we really
- 23:52Speaker 7: just wanted to document our road trip and never expected
- 23:55Speaker 7: that people would have a problem with it. Like I said,
- 23:57Speaker 7: people were digging through his tweets and and also people
- 24:01Speaker 7: were getting upset that it wasn't his first time in America.
- 24:03Speaker 3: But like they were like real upset by that is happening.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Why did people get upset?
- 24:08Speaker 4: Because got miserable, got popular.
- 24:11Speaker 5: And was like on different shows, celebrities were reaching out
- 24:14Speaker 5: to Yeah, this is his first extended stay right.
- 24:18Speaker 7: And then like he had only gone to like New
- 24:20Speaker 7: York in LA and Las Vegas, like, so this was
- 24:23Speaker 7: his first time in the South, like and he was experiencing.
- 24:25Speaker 7: He was having a great time. And then so what
- 24:27Speaker 7: if Ella Langley saw his tweets and wants to give
- 24:30Speaker 7: him tickets to her show? What does that do to you? Like,
- 24:33Speaker 7: it's not affecting you in any way. People are just
- 24:35Speaker 7: miserable and stupid.
- 24:37Speaker 8: I don't understand why you're getting mad about that, Like
- 24:41Speaker 8: you don't have anything else better to do?
- 24:44Speaker 7: Touch grass?
- 24:44Speaker 3: No they don't. They don't touch grass, like to.
- 24:47Speaker 7: That point, go play outside.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Yeah he went to New York in LA. Guess what, guys,
- 24:51Speaker 3: it's not region way different.
- 24:53Speaker 5: And they might as well not even have a nose
- 24:55Speaker 5: because they've never breathed out of it.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Right, but I'm totally breathe.
- 25:00Speaker 8: These people look like you don't want to see that
- 25:03Speaker 8: that's blue hair around.
- 25:05Speaker 5: But it did kind of make me laugh when you
- 25:07Speaker 5: said Friday deleted. They deleted Twitter and he got on Instagram.
- 25:12Speaker 5: It kind of reminds me of that scene from Forgetting
- 25:14Speaker 5: Sarah Marshall when P P O P s like, man,
- 25:17Speaker 5: I stopped wearing a watch when I got to the island.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Yeah, no, there's a how do you tell the time?
- 25:23Speaker 3: There's a little clock on my cell phone.
- 25:25Speaker 7: Yeah that's true.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Oh man, that's cool.
- 25:31Speaker 7: Anyway, Freddy, Yeah, it was fun while it lasted.
- 25:35Speaker 3: And get a life people for sure.
- 25:38Speaker 5: Man, like document, they didn't ask to be no, they're
- 25:43Speaker 5: just riding the wave.
- 25:44Speaker 7: And then people were like, do you think that this
- 25:46Speaker 7: is a PR stunt? And I'm like, what for? Like America? America?
- 25:56Speaker 8: Yeah, America, even if it was, again, why do you
- 26:00Speaker 8: care so much? Think about all the famous people here
- 26:03Speaker 8: in this country. They use every single a PR to
- 26:06Speaker 8: get this.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I know it was. It was a mouth break that
- 26:08Speaker 3: hates America that lives in it.
- 26:09Speaker 8: Probably probably that makes sense. I would imagine they're from either.
- 26:15Speaker 3: La or New York.
- 26:15Speaker 5: They're one allergic to grass. I don't know if they've
- 26:18Speaker 5: touched it or not. They probably touched it once. We're
- 26:21Speaker 5: scared of it, huh. But yeah, I feel like there's
- 26:25Speaker 5: a lot of people I just hate, hate, hate America.
- 26:28Speaker 5: I live here, I don't get it. I don't get
- 26:30Speaker 5: it either, and just hate joy.
- 26:31Speaker 7: I think it's a loud minority though. Oh yeah, like
- 26:35Speaker 7: a just super loud.
- 26:36Speaker 5: Minority allowed and like dumb ass but very obnoxious.
- 26:41Speaker 3: You're not going to ruin our time on America's two
- 26:43Speaker 3: hundred and fiftieth birthday.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Hell yeah, happen.
- 26:47Speaker 3: And they ain't gonna be watching America beat BH tonight
- 26:50Speaker 3: no BPA to b H.
- 26:54Speaker 9: Yes, I mean it's about the ass YEP or bt
- 27:01Speaker 9: d H.
- 27:03Speaker 7: Yeah, Okay, that's aggressive.
- 27:05Speaker 6: But.
- 27:07Speaker 3: He's he SI. You know a lot of letters.
- 27:11Speaker 7: It's a lot of letters.
- 27:13Speaker 3: I like BTBH.
- 27:14Speaker 1: It's good.
- 27:14Speaker 5: It's good, us A, us A you.
- 27:21Speaker 3: We're gonna do that a lot.
- 27:23Speaker 7: So if you don't like, yeah, Copelican Mars, support.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Me, guys, Pelican to Mars. Luanda is going to be
- 27:30Speaker 4: hosting the World Cup. And if you whisper for O
- 27:32Speaker 4: T B and I get more beer. And how you're
- 27:35Speaker 4: gonna get more beer in the first get a free
- 27:40Speaker 4: terrible like a.
- 27:43Speaker 7: Perfect like the cheapest shot of tea that they have. Yeah,
- 27:48Speaker 7: I'll ask them to chill it.
- 27:52Speaker 4: Not saying they will, but you'll ask.
- 27:53Speaker 7: Yeah, depends on if the bar is busy or not.
- 27:57Speaker 4: You know, all right, we will step away more OTB
- 28:01Speaker 4: when we come back here live from.
- 28:02Speaker 3: The Raisin King studio.
- 28:04Speaker 4: Off the bench, alright, Go to fabt dot com.
- 28:08Speaker 3: First American Bank and Trust been.
- 28:10Speaker 4: In the game for over Hello, choke me up talking
- 28:13Speaker 4: about FABT doing something for one hundred years?
- 28:15Speaker 3: Is that good?
- 28:16Speaker 1: That?
- 28:16Speaker 3: Well? Take your breath aways sometimes.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Go to First American Bank and Trust, where you're not
- 28:22Speaker 4: just an account number. You are faced, you are a name,
- 28:24Speaker 4: You are a relationship with First American Bank and Trust.

- 29:06Speaker 6: FABT dot Com from the locker room to the airwaves
- 29:21Speaker 6: gets off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 29:37Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in OTB. Here live from the
- 29:40Speaker 4: Raisin Kines studio. Hetay an article you've put in the
- 29:47Speaker 4: document a couple of days in a row. I know
- 29:49Speaker 4: you want to hit on it. Here is Hunt breaking
- 29:52Speaker 4: down the LSU offensive line. It's gonna be a brand
- 29:56Speaker 4: new offensive line. As we know, you're going to have
- 29:59Speaker 4: a lot of new outside of your center. Braylan Moore
- 30:03Speaker 4: even you know Wes and Davis is slotted to start
- 30:05Speaker 4: at right tackle, but we'll see, we'll see how it
- 30:07Speaker 4: goes for him. But you're gonna have a new left tackle.
- 30:10Speaker 4: You're gonna have a new left guard and a new
- 30:12Speaker 4: right guard at minimum. Give us your thoughts, your breakdown,
- 30:17Speaker 4: tatay of what else she's done here in the offseason.
- 30:19Speaker 8: I actually think they did a really good job bringing
- 30:22Speaker 8: in a number of bodies. I thought it was huge
- 30:25Speaker 8: of bringing Braidler Moore back, even if you thought, oh,
- 30:28Speaker 8: Brailer Moore didn't live up with the expectations a year ago. Yeah,
- 30:30Speaker 8: look at the system he was in. Brad Davis was
- 30:32Speaker 8: his offensive line coach, So let's just call that like
- 30:35Speaker 8: it is. He he had poor coaching last year. You
- 30:39Speaker 8: bring in Eric Wolford, you get a brand new system.
- 30:41Speaker 8: I think he's gonna be a lot better. I mean,
- 30:43Speaker 8: this is a guy that was hyped up in the portal,
- 30:44Speaker 8: and anytime you could return to your veteran center, I
- 30:47Speaker 8: always think that that's a good thing. Jordan Seeden number
- 30:50Speaker 8: one left tackle in the portal. You got him on board.
- 30:52Speaker 8: Aliu Ba to me, might be the most underrated signing
- 30:56Speaker 8: in this signing class. I mean, the guy last year
- 30:59Speaker 8: did not give up a sack, gave up two quarterback
- 31:02Speaker 8: hits the entire season, and was whistled for one penalty
- 31:05Speaker 8: That was Week one against Florida Atlantic. His run blocking
- 31:07Speaker 8: grade wasn't the best, it was like mid fifties, but
- 31:10Speaker 8: his past blockings elite, and with Alane kiffin running game,
- 31:13Speaker 8: I imagine that run blocking is gonna improve. I think, yeah,
- 31:16Speaker 8: like Bo Bordelon, if he could take that next step.
- 31:18Speaker 8: He hasn't been a starter here, but that's a fifty
- 31:20Speaker 8: year guy. I mean, he's been around this program. He
- 31:22Speaker 8: knows the expectation. And then a right tackle, Yeah, Weston
- 31:26Speaker 8: Davis's back. He wasn't great a year ago, but he's
- 31:29Speaker 8: in year two. Can he take a step forward or
- 31:31Speaker 8: could a talented freshman like a Bryston Martinez beat him
- 31:34Speaker 8: out at right tackle? I think there's a chance this
- 31:36Speaker 8: offensive line has a sneaky good year.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Yeah, and you went out and you got a lot
- 31:41Speaker 4: of depth. I mean everybody that you have right now
- 31:44Speaker 4: in your too deep has played.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Significant snaps in college football.
- 31:51Speaker 4: They've been players that have played and started and been
- 31:54Speaker 4: rotational pieces. So if you do have an injury or
- 31:57Speaker 4: if somebody's not holding up there into the bargain, you
- 31:59Speaker 4: do have way more power to kind of rotate some
- 32:01Speaker 4: guys in than you had a year ago.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Bo Bordlan's interesting.
- 32:07Speaker 4: Bo's beloved over across on the Ponderosa there by teammates,
- 32:11Speaker 4: by coaches, by staff, like everybody has, you know, raved
- 32:15Speaker 4: about him here in this offseason. I believe it was
- 32:18Speaker 4: wit weeks that we had on that he was talking
- 32:19Speaker 4: about Bo bordalone a couple of weeks ago. That's gonna
- 32:22Speaker 4: be an interesting one to watch. Devin Harper comes over
- 32:25Speaker 4: from Old Miss He's from Louisiana, from Shreveport, and I
- 32:30Speaker 4: think it was just kind of believe that he would
- 32:32Speaker 4: be slotted in at one of the guard positions. But
- 32:34Speaker 4: if Bou Borderline's out there and he is named a starter,
- 32:37Speaker 4: it's because Bou Borderlin earned the right to be a starter.
- 32:40Speaker 4: Because again there's multiple people that have been brought in
- 32:44Speaker 4: to be the starting guard that weren't Bo borderlwn And
- 32:47Speaker 4: so if he goes and wins it, and Matt you've
- 32:50Speaker 4: seen this thousand times, that means that guy earned it
- 32:52Speaker 4: and you couldn't deny what he was doing.
- 32:53Speaker 5: In practice, Well, yeah, that was I mean, I would
- 32:59Speaker 5: think that that it not need to really be said
- 33:03Speaker 5: that if you're gonna be if you're rolling out there
- 33:06Speaker 5: game one under the lights entire stadium and you're one
- 33:10Speaker 5: of the eleven guys running out there.
- 33:12Speaker 3: Yeah, for the first napah, for sure.
- 33:14Speaker 4: But if you're like one of the guys that was
- 33:17Speaker 4: a little bit of an afterthought to some people and
- 33:19Speaker 4: then you get the starting job.
- 33:21Speaker 3: A lot of times a guy like that has had.
- 33:23Speaker 4: To maybe jump over four hurdles and everybody else just
- 33:26Speaker 4: has to jump over to so that man is in
- 33:28Speaker 4: a good way.
- 33:28Speaker 5: And sometimes that's a better story. Yeah, I mean it's
- 33:30Speaker 5: a better story for fans, of course, but sometimes that's
- 33:33Speaker 5: the better player.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Yep. That's you are.
- 33:37Speaker 5: A guy that hadn't been given everything as far as
- 33:40Speaker 5: like playtime, Like.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Guys that have been.
- 33:46Speaker 5: Born and raised like in the fire of competition are
- 33:49Speaker 5: some of the guys, the tougher guys out there. So
- 33:51Speaker 5: I mean, you never really, it doesn't really matter. We
- 33:54Speaker 5: talked about Blake Baker and I can't remember if he
- 33:59Speaker 5: was on the show and we asked them this or
- 34:01Speaker 5: what it was, but it was during the portal and
- 34:03Speaker 5: there in every talk, every single day, there was new
- 34:06Speaker 5: contracts being discussed, new money being discussed, all these like
- 34:10Speaker 5: things that weren't about football. They were about how much
- 34:12Speaker 5: is these college kids getting paid, And like Baker said,
- 34:16Speaker 5: I don't want to hear what they're getting paid. I
- 34:19Speaker 5: try my best to stay away from that information. I'm
- 34:22Speaker 5: not involved with those talks. That is not my job.
- 34:25Speaker 5: I don't want to know what everybody's being paid because
- 34:29Speaker 5: I don't want to be influenced by the amount of
- 34:32Speaker 5: money somebody is getting paid for that season. So, like,
- 34:36Speaker 5: you make this decision like it's the it's the GM's job.
- 34:39Speaker 5: It's the head coach's job to get guys on the roster.
- 34:43Speaker 5: Now after that, it's the coach's job to figure out
- 34:48Speaker 5: who the best player is. And it doesn't and it
- 34:50Speaker 5: shouldn't matter now a lot of times in professional sports,
- 34:52Speaker 5: like if you're getting paid thirty million dollars to be
- 34:54Speaker 5: there every year, you're gonna play like that's just the
- 34:57Speaker 5: way it is. That's that's But you know in college
- 35:01Speaker 5: it's the best players should play. So you welcome that.
- 35:06Speaker 5: You want that as a coach. You want somebody to
- 35:09Speaker 5: rise up through the ranks and beat people out. You
- 35:12Speaker 5: don't want guys to lose their job. You want people
- 35:14Speaker 5: to go win a job. So and my guy does
- 35:19Speaker 5: offensive line from a fans standpoint, Will it be a
- 35:24Speaker 5: breath of fresh air if this offensive line can truly
- 35:26Speaker 5: come together and be a just a good unit. Yeah,
- 35:30Speaker 5: they don't even have to be great for us to
- 35:31Speaker 5: be happy over here. Hey, I mean more importantly, as
- 35:35Speaker 5: you know, there's going to be new coaches coaching this
- 35:37Speaker 5: offensive line. It was poorly coached last season. It was
- 35:40Speaker 5: poorly played, and it was poorly coached, and it was
- 35:43Speaker 5: a poor offensive.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Line, and it was a terrible offense. Outside of that,
- 35:50Speaker 3: how was the play, Miss Lincoln? It was pretty good.
- 35:54Speaker 3: The lead actor was good. To your point.
- 35:58Speaker 8: Due about say, you know, Boat Borderline wins this job,
- 36:01Speaker 8: it's because he earned it, you know, because there could
- 36:03Speaker 8: be a lot of people out there that say, oh,
- 36:04Speaker 8: you just gave it to the fifth year guy off
- 36:06Speaker 8: of his leadership. Devin Harper was the one that took
- 36:09Speaker 8: the first reps at first team there in spring.
- 36:12Speaker 3: His coaching staff last year.
- 36:14Speaker 8: Boat Borderlan beat him out. It was the first two
- 36:16Speaker 8: weeks of spring, it was nothing but Devin Harper. Last
- 36:18Speaker 8: couple of weeks of spring, it was nothing but both borderlanne.
- 36:20Speaker 8: So they he straight up beat him out.
- 36:23Speaker 4: So certainly something to pay attention to. Weston Davis does
- 36:27Speaker 4: have to go up. His level of play has to
- 36:29Speaker 4: go way up from where it was. Talented guy, five
- 36:32Speaker 4: star guy. We know all of that and was we're.
- 36:36Speaker 5: Not gonna judge. We're not gonna judge Weston Davis. Like
- 36:39Speaker 5: to me, it's like you compared it to NFL terms,
- 36:43Speaker 5: It's like Cayleb Williams in his first year. I'm not
- 36:45Speaker 5: I didn't judge him by that just because of the
- 36:48Speaker 5: position he has put in, the coaching has put in
- 36:50Speaker 5: all that stuff. I'm not judging him based on last year.
- 36:53Speaker 5: We'll judge him on this year.
- 36:54Speaker 4: And I will say this for him, it did get
- 36:58Speaker 4: better at the end of the sea because there was
- 37:01Speaker 4: a stretch obviously from South Carolina all the way through
- 37:05Speaker 4: Alabama that was a struggle. Got better against Arkansas, Western, Kentucky, Oklahoma,
- 37:10Speaker 4: and Houston.
- 37:10Speaker 3: Later in the season.
- 37:11Speaker 4: And we'll see if that development, if that growth game
- 37:14Speaker 4: continue with the new coaching staff, new offensive philosophy. And
- 37:17Speaker 4: I talked about this a lot yesterday, and it was
- 37:19Speaker 4: in NFL terms, but with no diversity in your play
- 37:23Speaker 4: calling in general, but certainly in the run game, that's
- 37:26Speaker 4: tough to grade somebody off of that. It just it
- 37:29Speaker 4: really is because you only are a one trick pony
- 37:31Speaker 4: and you weren't good at the trick. You're bad at it.
- 37:34Speaker 4: So it's hard to grade somebody when you're only running
- 37:36Speaker 4: one version of one run and you're not throwing something
- 37:39Speaker 4: different at the defense make them change their thoughts.
- 37:42Speaker 5: Yeah, it was very unfortunate, like for the offense because
- 37:44Speaker 5: they got crushed last year by the core of public opinion,
- 37:47Speaker 5: by the media, by the family because it wasn't good play.
- 37:50Speaker 5: But I think as the season went on, it was like, oh,
- 37:53Speaker 5: everybody started realizing everything's just kind of bad right now.
- 37:56Speaker 5: So they were put in very unfair position to be successful.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Now. You can't unsee a lot of things. You did.
- 38:04Speaker 5: See them get beat one on one on a pass rush,
- 38:07Speaker 5: you did. Everybody gets beat one on one on a
- 38:09Speaker 5: pass rush, So and it does happen. It just looks
- 38:13Speaker 5: really bad when you when you put that next to
- 38:16Speaker 5: you can't run the ball, you can't you can't really
- 38:19Speaker 5: do anything on offense.
- 38:20Speaker 3: So a lot of that blame.
- 38:21Speaker 5: Does fall on the offensive line, and they deserve a
- 38:23Speaker 5: lot of it, and I get that, and everybody. There's
- 38:26Speaker 5: a lot of fault that goes around on that whole offense.
- 38:29Speaker 5: But again, I'm going to put the majority on it
- 38:32Speaker 5: of the people that lost their jobs in the middle
- 38:33Speaker 5: of the season, That's what I'm going to put most
- 38:36Speaker 5: of the blame on it. And I'm not going to
- 38:37Speaker 5: judge these guys that are talented and five star guy,
- 38:41Speaker 5: highly recruited guys, highly talented guys. I'm not going to
- 38:44Speaker 5: judge their entire career based on a season where a
- 38:50Speaker 5: team paid fifty million dollars to get rid of their
- 38:52Speaker 5: offensive coaches. So that's pretty much what it was. They
- 38:56Speaker 5: fired Brian Kelly to get rid of the offensive coaches, yeah,
- 38:59Speaker 5: because he wasn't going, yeah.
- 39:00Speaker 3: We'll do it. Yeah, So I'm not going to judge them.
- 39:03Speaker 5: I think this year you're going to see a revitalized
- 39:06Speaker 5: offensive line that's going to get put in a position
- 39:09Speaker 5: to be successful, which is all we could ask for. Now,
- 39:13Speaker 5: they got to go out and prove us all right,
- 39:16Speaker 5: and they got to go execute, and I believe that
- 39:20Speaker 5: they will and I believe they are going to do
- 39:23Speaker 5: it at a very high level.
- 39:26Speaker 3: All right, we'll take a break.
