- 0:00I really think you're going to like this episode today because
- 0:02it's about a Trump supporter who got screwed by Trump.
- 0:07This guy's name is Rodney Grundmeier.
- 0:09He was all in for Trump and on November 4th of 2024, he proudly
- 0:14posted on Facebook. Let's take out the trash
- 0:19together. Now.
- 0:21This is alongside the meme of Trump in a garbage truck.
- 0:26Fast forward a few months and guess what?
- 0:28Grundmeyer was taken out too, out of his job.
- 0:32Now he's asking for prayers after being laid off thanks to
- 0:37policies enacted by Trump, the very administration he voted
- 0:41for. But the best part?
- 0:43His own mother publicly called him out for it.
- 0:47Now, before we get into this absolutely amazing story, quick
- 0:53reminder, 80% of you listening right now or watching aren't
- 0:57subscribed to the show. That means you keep coming back,
- 1:00but you're not following the show.
- 1:01So hit that subscribe button or follow button on whatever
- 1:03platform you're on. And my promise is that I'll keep
- 1:06doing my part in bringing you the best stories every single
- 1:09day. So who is Rodney Grunmeyer?
- 1:12He's just your average conservative voter who thought
- 1:14Trump and Musk were going to stick it to the woke leftist
- 1:18Marxists and not to him. He supported their crusade
- 1:22against so-called government waste right up until the moment
- 1:26he realized his paycheck was part of that waste.
- 1:29And on Facebook he wrote, Thanks Elon Musk, I am now out of work.
- 1:34You can practically hear it. He laid out his tragic back
- 1:37story. He had struggled to find stable
- 1:39work for years, bouncing between jobs that kept disappearing
- 1:43thanks to corporate buyouts. But in October 2024, he got a
- 1:47break. He finally landed a steady gig
- 1:49at the IRS. This is the agency that Trump
- 1:52and Musk had openly vowed to slash into oblivion with a
- 1:56chainsaw. Yet somehow, Rodney didn't see
- 1:59it coming at all. Then the hammer dropped.
- 2:02He and his fellow new hires were informed by the IRS director
- 2:06themselves that they're being fired due to a reduction in
- 2:10force initiative from the White House.
- 2:14Basically, the administration he voted for decided he wasn't
- 2:18important. His job wasn't worth keeping.
- 2:20Now. Rodney explained that the time
- 2:22he can be worse. He and his wife had just bought
- 2:24a house in 2023, and after losing a previous job, he had
- 2:29already been forced to file for mortgage forbearance.
- 2:33Now he was staring down unemployment again, along with
- 2:3570,000 other freshly discarded and fired federal workers, all
- 2:40suddenly competing for the same shrinking pool of jobs.
- 2:43But Rodney didn't want your sympathy.
- 2:45No, no, he wanted prayers. Pray for this guy, he made it
- 2:48clear, he said. I'm not looking for any
- 2:51compensation, any handouts, but I'm asking in return for prayers
- 2:55for me and the other unemployed federal workers who all have
- 2:59families that we're trying to support.
- 3:02It gets even worse. His mom enters the chat.
- 3:05GAIL Grundmeyer, who had 0 patience for his nonsense.
- 3:11In a Facebook comment that deserves to be framed in a
- 3:14museum, she wrote. I have an idea.
- 3:17Maybe you and your Republican family and friends who voted for
- 3:21the orange buffoon and President Musk can help you pay your house
- 3:25note, utilities, car note, car insurance, health insurance,
- 3:29food and any other bills you have.
- 3:33So basically she said you voted for this mask.
- 3:36Now go out and ask your MAGA buddies for a bailout.
- 3:41But she didn't stop. She reminded him that Trump and
- 3:44Musk had surrounded themselves with very young people with no
- 3:49security clearance and had essentially handed them
- 3:51classified government documents to play with.
- 3:54She said some of our loved ones, which includes family and
- 3:57friends, now have a target on their backs.
- 4:00But despite the roasting, she still supported him and had a
- 4:05motherly moment, she said. Right this moment, I'm worried
- 4:08about you. I'm sure your mind is going 10
- 4:10miles an hour and I wish I could give you a hug.
- 4:14Sweet, right? But until you realize it's
- 4:15basically her saying bless your heart you absolute fool.
- 4:19The irony was too good. Rodney, who just months ago was
- 4:23calling Biden voters garbage, was now realizing that the
- 4:26actual garbage being thrown out was him and his job.
- 4:29But if you think this was a one time fluke, think again.
- 4:32Another Trump voter, an ex government employee, took to
- 4:35social media with an equally sad little tale he wrote directly to
- 4:39Trump. Hello Sir, I am one of the
- 4:42probationary employees terminated by DOGE at 9:00 AM on
- 4:45February 14th. I voted for you Sir three times
- 4:49and I still support you right. The guy was fired by the very
- 4:54policies he supported but still believed in.
- 4:58You almost have to respect the sheer commitment to being played
- 5:01by this guy. But he didn't stop there, he
- 5:03said. I was encouraged by the Doge to
- 5:06see that they were getting rid of waste.
- 5:08Government spending. I support that too.
- 5:11My termination letter said I was being let go for performance
- 5:14reasons. I know that's not true.
- 5:16Government waste was fine until he was declared waste.
- 5:20Now it's all a big misunderstanding.
- 5:22Surely Trump will step in to fix it, right?
- 5:24Get him his job back. But Trump didn't do anything
- 5:27about it. He's not coming to save you.
- 5:30His whole plan was to gut the federal government.
- 5:33And this phenomenon that Trump support is realizing that their
- 5:36dear leaders budget cuts apply to them is spreading over on the
- 5:41our conservative subreddit. Even some of the faithful are
- 5:44starting to ask questions. They still insist that they love
- 5:47Trump said. Why the F are we firing National
- 5:52Park Service and Forest Service workers?
- 5:55Good question. The combined budget for both
- 5:58agencies was about $10.5 billion, which is basically
- 6:02pocket change compared to the Defense Department's $695
- 6:06billion. Cutting these jobs wasn't about
- 6:10saving money, it was just blind government destruction going
- 6:14forward. And one Trump supporter even
- 6:16admitted these are people who manage and protect the very
- 6:19places that make these activities possible.
- 6:22Laying them off is flat out idiotic.
- 6:25Yes, you're very correct. Don't lay off people if they're
- 6:30going to support our parks. You're so close to understanding
- 6:34now. Just take one more step and
- 6:36realize who you elected and what they were going to do.
- 6:40And then these federal agencies that we all love and cherish,
- 6:43like the parks departments, they're getting gutted.
- 6:46Economists have pointed out that firing 10s of thousands of
- 6:49federal workers doesn't even save meaningful money, it just
- 6:52destabilizes communities, kills spending, and forces more people
- 6:55onto unemployment. But Musk and Trump don't care
- 6:59about that. They got to pose for the cameras
- 7:01and claim they were cutting waste.
- 7:03Never mind that the only thing getting cut was people's
- 7:06livelihoods, people's jobs. They're out of work.
- 7:10Their families are suffering now.
- 7:12And let's not forget the most poetic part of all this.
- 7:15Rodney Grundmeyer, the man who cheered on Trump's so-called war
- 7:19on garbage, is now the garbage to Trump and Musk.
- 7:25That's what Trump's policies have decided.
