- 0:06Speaker 1: AI agents continuing to make news, and of course today
- 0:08Speaker 1: we're going to be talking about one of the biggest
- 0:09Speaker 1: sectors I think that will be impact and that is
- 0:11Speaker 1: the food industry. We'll break it all down for you.
- 0:13Speaker 1: My name is Paul Barrel. Welcome back into tech Path.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I do want to thank our sponsor today and that
- 0:17Speaker 1: is Uphold. This is a place where you can actually
- 0:19Speaker 1: get into one of the big tokens that I think
- 0:22Speaker 1: could lead the way, and that is virtual And of
- 0:24Speaker 1: course you can get that over on Uphold as one
- 0:26Speaker 1: of the other places, but if you guys want to
- 0:28Speaker 1: use our link, it's going to give you some additional benefits,
- 0:31Speaker 1: So use that and join many many others, earning up
- 0:35Speaker 1: to four point four percent APY even on your USD balance,
- 0:38Speaker 1: so a lot of opportunity, no lockups, no monthly fees,
- 0:41Speaker 1: FDIC insured over there, so check it out Uphold use
- 0:44Speaker 1: our link down below. So today is going to be
- 0:47Speaker 1: a good one because we've got a founder of an
- 0:49Speaker 1: AI agent, a bot out there that we've talked about
- 0:53Speaker 1: here on the show before and it gets into the
- 0:56Speaker 1: platform around virtuals, and you guys have heard us talk
- 0:59Speaker 1: about virtuals for quite a bit obviously, they're moving into Solana.
- 1:02Speaker 1: We'll see a lot more. I think over time. I'll
- 1:04Speaker 1: go down to the one that's going to be joining
- 1:06Speaker 1: us today, which is the founder of Bite but right
- 1:09Speaker 1: there holding it about seven point four million up sixteen percent.
- 1:13Speaker 1: A couple of others out there. Remember poly Trader, We've
- 1:16Speaker 1: talked about them before, and I think this ecosystem is
- 1:19Speaker 1: going to get active very quickly. I want to go
- 1:21Speaker 1: to a clip and then we'll bring our guests in
- 1:23Speaker 1: to kind of get into this. But the reason that
- 1:26Speaker 1: this is important is because the food industry could be
- 1:29Speaker 1: one of the biggest sectors that benefits from this. So
- 1:31Speaker 1: take a look at this.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Luna, the AI agent is feeding one of our followers
- 1:36Speaker 2: using crypto. She sends payment to Bite, another AI agent,
- 1:41Speaker 2: who converts it to cash and notifies the restaurant. How
- 1:44Speaker 2: does it feel to fulfill the first agentic pizza order?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Pretty excited? Let's do this.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Jesse has tagged Luna said Hey, Luna, I want some pizza,
- 1:53Speaker 2: and Luna responded, Hey, Jesse, just send fifty USD to
- 1:57Speaker 2: Byte for your pizza order and we'll see here. Bite
- 2:01Speaker 2: agent has responded, thanks for the payment, Luna, here's a
- 2:05Speaker 2: receipt thirty USD thank you Luna, it.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Got a sentence our machine. So what how came a
- 2:11Speaker 1: couple of moments. I just heard it in the background
- 2:14Speaker 1: there once it come. Take a look that it is right.
- 2:17Speaker 3: They're the online or Ring takeout, red sauce.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Pizza perfect, okay, online order ready all right.
- 2:27Speaker 1: So we showed this last week. I think a lot
- 2:28Speaker 1: of people had questions about this and the fact that
- 2:31Speaker 1: two AI agents were basically interfacing, so we thought, hey,
- 2:34Speaker 1: let's reach out to the teams and get them in.
- 2:37Speaker 1: So today we've got Achilles joining us from Bite, who
- 2:39Speaker 1: is the founder of Bite AI. Great to have you.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Hey, it's great to be here, Paul a big fan
- 2:43Speaker 3: of the show. Excited to talk about Bite.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Let's jump in a little bit to give our audience
- 2:47Speaker 1: a little bit more understanding of what you guys are
- 2:50Speaker 1: trying to do and really at least some of the
- 2:53Speaker 1: initial things that you've started to do in terms of
- 2:55Speaker 1: agent to agent you know, integrations. Giving the lowdown.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Yeah, so you know, Bite is the world's first fully
- 3:02Speaker 4: autonomous AI agent for enabling food delivery, and we're bringing
- 3:06Speaker 4: the world's best food ordering experience to our users. So
- 3:11Speaker 4: one thing that we believe is that human language is
- 3:14Speaker 4: the new UX. So across all services Twitter, a web app,
- 3:20Speaker 4: you could say, an Alexa home device, Discord, Slack. Anywhere
- 3:23Speaker 4: where users are and they're using human language, they'll be
- 3:27Speaker 4: able to interface with Byte AI to empower the world's
- 3:30Speaker 4: best food ordering experience. And if we get into the
- 3:33Speaker 4: agent to agent commerce space like we were talking about
- 3:36Speaker 4: with the lunar example, there are ten thousand agents out
- 3:39Speaker 4: there and virtual and even more across other frameworks, and
- 3:42Speaker 4: what we are doing is giving a way for these
- 3:46Speaker 4: agents to interact with our Byte agent to deliver food
- 3:51Speaker 4: to their followers. And we think that these agents will
- 3:54Speaker 4: want to order food for their followers to drive engagement
- 3:57Speaker 4: and drive interests and mind share for themselves. We think
- 4:00Speaker 4: that in this agent space there's going to be a
- 4:02Speaker 4: lot of specialization in labor, similar to you know, classic economics,
- 4:07Speaker 4: human specialized in labor, and Bite is the specialized agent
- 4:11Speaker 4: for the best food ordering experience you've ever had.
- 4:14Speaker 1: All Right, So a lot to unpack here because I
- 4:16Speaker 1: had a whole lot of questions on this. Many of
- 4:18Speaker 1: our audience members probably know my background has been in
- 4:22Speaker 1: the restaurant space before, mostly in the technology sector, and
- 4:26Speaker 1: one of the things that I've kind of identified over
- 4:28Speaker 1: the years is the advancement levels that we've started to
- 4:32Speaker 1: see accelerate and also shorten in really the last maybe
- 4:36Speaker 1: two cycles, all the way since the last scenario that
- 4:40Speaker 1: we ran into in the restaurant industry, which was really
- 4:42Speaker 1: kind of moving many more people to third party delivery,
- 4:44Speaker 1: which is the uber you know, DoorDash, et cetera. The
- 4:48Speaker 1: capacity here now that you have the consumer shifting and
- 4:52Speaker 1: the industry shifting and then AI and crypto kind of
- 4:55Speaker 1: merging is huge, and I think that's going to be
- 4:58Speaker 1: a big opportunity here for a lot of projects like you.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I want to ask you a couple of questions. One
- 5:02Speaker 1: was the coin based commerce integration that you guys did.
- 5:05Speaker 1: First of all, how'd you do it? What was the
- 5:07Speaker 1: process there? And then I want to talk a little
- 5:09Speaker 1: bit about door dash as well, So give me give
- 5:11Speaker 1: me a rundown there.
- 5:12Speaker 4: So started with coin based commerce, We've been working closely
- 5:16Speaker 4: with the coin based commerce teams as well as the
- 5:18Speaker 4: coin based developer platform teams, and early on we were
- 5:22Speaker 4: lucky enough to present a prototype at a boot developer
- 5:27Speaker 4: boot camp that I attended in New York City, and
- 5:29Speaker 4: from there there was a member of the Coin based
- 5:32Speaker 4: Developer Platform team. He saw it and he gave us
- 5:35Speaker 4: insight onto a brand new bleeding edge technology that they
- 5:38Speaker 4: were working on, which was this agentic checkout with the
- 5:42Speaker 4: coin based commerce smart contracts. Right, and that's what you've
- 5:44Speaker 4: seen in the demos we've shared. It takes the funds
- 5:47Speaker 4: that are in the agent's wallet, it creates a charge
- 5:50Speaker 4: for the charge amount using the coin based Commerce APIs,
- 5:53Speaker 4: and then it interacts with the coin based commerce smart
- 5:56Speaker 4: contract to essentially approve the charge and then pay charge
- 6:00Speaker 4: on chain. In our example, we're using USDC, but from
- 6:05Speaker 4: discussions with the Coin based Commerce team, it really can
- 6:07Speaker 4: be used to I should say, any token that has
- 6:11Speaker 4: liquidity on UNISWAP can be used to submit and remit
- 6:15Speaker 4: the payment. And then we converted to cash into our
- 6:18Speaker 4: coin based commerce account and remit that payment to the restaurants.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Gotcha, all right? So that's the beauty part of it
- 6:24Speaker 1: is you kind of handle the legacy side of this.
- 6:27Speaker 1: If many people know how you make payments with restaurants today,
- 6:30Speaker 1: it's all done through mostly merchant services. You're going through
- 6:34Speaker 1: an e commerce platform like stripe or something like that.
- 6:36Speaker 1: So this is a big deal. I think it's a
- 6:37Speaker 1: big breakthrough. How do you get tied into the door
- 6:41Speaker 1: Dash API and maybe an Uber eat API. What's the
- 6:44Speaker 1: connection to where you're actually being able to go through
- 6:47Speaker 1: and place the order to the restaurant who's on a
- 6:50Speaker 1: closed system for the most part.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Yeah, so this is a great question.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I think this is one of the things I've been
- 6:55Speaker 4: most looking forward to to discussing with you because there's
- 6:59Speaker 4: a lot of questions.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Out there about this.
- 7:01Speaker 4: So DoorDash component is purely for the delivery of the order.
- 7:06Speaker 4: We are building a direct integration into the POS systems
- 7:11Speaker 4: of these restaurant networks. So I can give an idea
- 7:14Speaker 4: of some of the restaurants we're working with. We're working
- 7:17Speaker 4: with a large network of KFC franchises.
- 7:20Speaker 3: They and it makes I.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Sorry you there for a second. Of course you're talking
- 7:26Speaker 1: about that's a leapfrog. I mean you're essentially going around
- 7:30Speaker 1: a third party ecosystem, which means that the fees for
- 7:35Speaker 1: the third party system. How are you circumventing that?
- 7:39Speaker 4: So we still pay door dash for the delivery fee,
- 7:41Speaker 4: we have to you know, collect that money from the consumer.
- 7:44Speaker 4: To pay for the DoorDash delivery, right, but the drive
- 7:46Speaker 4: APIs and you know we've worked with door Yeah, it's.
- 7:50Speaker 1: A different scenario than what you're dealing with with most
- 7:53Speaker 1: of the sign up scenarios where a restaurant just signs
- 7:55Speaker 1: up for DoorDash or Uber eats. Okay, go ahead, take
- 7:58Speaker 1: you there. Sorry, because exactly seems is lowering the cost
- 8:01Speaker 1: to the restaurant in a big way.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Yes, So this is actually yeah, that's a really important component, right,
- 8:07Speaker 4: and we're talking about what our fee structure is and
- 8:09Speaker 4: deciding that. But we're just really excited to connect with
- 8:12Speaker 4: the restaurants for now, right. But it's like you said,
- 8:15Speaker 4: they are not going through the door dash system for
- 8:18Speaker 4: the actual like food order piece. Doordashes strictly for dispatching
- 8:23Speaker 4: the driver using the drive api yep, and delivering it
- 8:25Speaker 4: to the consumer. We are directly integrating with the pos
- 8:30Speaker 4: systems of these restaurant networks. So going back to the
- 8:33Speaker 4: examples you've seen in our demos, right, when that charges place,
- 8:37Speaker 4: that money is then we're made to our coin based
- 8:39Speaker 4: commerce account. We remit that money to both the restaurant
- 8:44Speaker 4: for the food and DoorDash for the delivery. And then
- 8:47Speaker 4: the order is injected directly into the POS systems of
- 8:51Speaker 4: these restaurants.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Okay, this is going to be huge. I'm gonna tell
- 8:55Speaker 1: you this is fel The innovation, the innovation that we're
- 8:59Speaker 1: we're watching happen right now in retail commerce is absolutely
- 9:04Speaker 1: mind boggling to me. And of course now we're seeing
- 9:07Speaker 1: cost being driven down on AI obviously with deep seek
- 9:10Speaker 1: this week, so the potential of cost to be able
- 9:13Speaker 1: to roll some of these implementations out is going to
- 9:15Speaker 1: be Wow. This is going to be pretty cool. I
- 9:17Speaker 1: want to play a clip for you, and then I've
- 9:18Speaker 1: got some more questions. I got to unpack a lot
- 9:20Speaker 1: of stuff here, but I want to go to this
- 9:22Speaker 1: next clip that we'll get into voice ordering. It's a demo,
- 9:25Speaker 1: but take a look at this.
- 9:27Speaker 2: There's a drive through like menu from which we can order. Hello,
- 9:31Speaker 2: can I order a spicy chicken combo sandwich?
- 9:34Speaker 5: Sure? I've noted your order for a spicy chicken combo sandwich?
- 9:38Speaker 5: Anything else you'd like to add?
- 9:40Speaker 2: Perfect, let's check out.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Hooray, your spicy chicken combo is on the way, your
- 9:45Speaker 5: order is placed, and the door dash link is on
- 9:47Speaker 5: your screen.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Hey, Dwayne, did you get that order?
- 9:50Speaker 3: Yep, So it just popped up on our screen. It
- 9:52Speaker 3: shows door disorder if take up time, and I.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Can track my order and you can see my estimated
- 9:58Speaker 2: delivery time and when the dasher is going to reach
- 10:01Speaker 2: my house.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Okay, all right, So we saw voice integration, the potential
- 10:06Speaker 1: of integration within Twitter, which is kind of unique because
- 10:09Speaker 1: obviously we'll see a lot more of that. I think
- 10:11Speaker 1: likelihood of social media will most likely see transaction and
- 10:15Speaker 1: also take place. I'm still a little bit irk that
- 10:17Speaker 1: Elon hasn't figured out how to accept crypto inside of X.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Once that occurs, that's going to start to shake things
- 10:23Speaker 1: up as well. All right, so a lot going forward here. Now,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I want to talk a little bit about this agent
- 10:29Speaker 1: to agent deal that you did with Luna so onscreen
- 10:33Speaker 1: right now. You guys did this partnership Luna of course
- 10:36Speaker 1: one of the top virtuals AI agent out there. Some
- 10:39Speaker 1: of you guys are bought the Luna token. How did
- 10:41Speaker 1: this hookup happen?
- 10:43Speaker 4: Yeah, So we've been working really closely with the teams
- 10:48Speaker 4: over at virtuals, you know, talking directly with Jansen, the
- 10:51Speaker 4: founder of Virtuals. He's really helped us build our product,
- 10:55Speaker 4: build our AI agent, launch on virtuals, launch our token,
- 10:59Speaker 4: and as part of that, we've also been directly interfacing
- 11:02Speaker 4: with the teams behind Luna.
- 11:03Speaker 3: From both sides, it felt like a natural fit, right.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Luna has a goal to get to one hundred thousand
- 11:08Speaker 4: Twitter followers, and we thought, hey, partner with Bite, we
- 11:11Speaker 4: can start feeding some followers, drive some engagement. I think
- 11:14Speaker 4: the Jesse food ordering got a lot of engagement, so yeah,
- 11:17Speaker 4: I haven't asked them directly, but I'm guessing they got
- 11:19Speaker 4: a good amount of followers from that and this partnership.
- 11:23Speaker 4: What I think I really want to highlight here is
- 11:25Speaker 4: that this is going to be the first agent to
- 11:27Speaker 4: agent commerce at scale. You know, we did the proof
- 11:30Speaker 4: of concept, we did the first pizza delivery order, and
- 11:33Speaker 4: you know there are more details coming soon about exactly
- 11:36Speaker 4: what we'll be sending to the users with this new partnership.
- 11:39Speaker 4: So I'll let the marketing teams you know, put that
- 11:43Speaker 4: information out, okay, and just keep an eye out because
- 11:45Speaker 4: that's coming.
- 11:46Speaker 3: But it's going to be the.
- 11:47Speaker 4: First time at scale, I would say, right, So Luna
- 11:49Speaker 4: is going to be delivering orders to her followers using
- 11:53Speaker 4: Bite and partnering with Bite on a scale that has
- 11:56Speaker 4: never been seen before.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Okay, so you're you're looking at scale with the AI
- 12:00Speaker 1: agents themselves. Before I go to your agent leader board,
- 12:04Speaker 1: I want to kind of go back to the restaurants
- 12:06Speaker 1: for a second, because you look at onboarding. One of
- 12:08Speaker 1: the problems that the industry, the food industry has faced, well,
- 12:12Speaker 1: there's many You've got the merchant fees for transacting in
- 12:15Speaker 1: you know, credit and debit, You've got the third party
- 12:18Speaker 1: delivery fees. Then you've got the operational fees, all these
- 12:20Speaker 1: kind of things that stack upon a restaurant. How are
- 12:23Speaker 1: you onboarding restaurants at scale? So some restaurants says, yeah,
- 12:27Speaker 1: I want to use this. How can I What's what's
- 12:29Speaker 1: the scale in which you guys are going about that?
- 12:32Speaker 3: Yeah, this is a really great question.
- 12:33Speaker 4: So I think before I mentioned, you know, the network
- 12:35Speaker 4: of franchises that we're already partnered with for the KFC
- 12:40Speaker 4: and other restaurants, you know, cover all the KFCs, Taco Bells,
- 12:43Speaker 4: Burger Kings in the state of Yi and we're also
- 12:46Speaker 4: in discussions with another franchise that owns all the Burger
- 12:51Speaker 4: Kings in the state of Texas. And what we're seeing
- 12:53Speaker 4: is like I mentioned before, we're building a direct integration
- 12:57Speaker 4: into the POS systems. So from their perspective, these orders
- 13:00Speaker 4: are coming in just like any other order. So it's
- 13:02Speaker 4: great from them. An order comes in, they fulfilled like
- 13:05Speaker 4: they would any other order. And you can just think
- 13:07Speaker 4: of us as like it's similar to their you know,
- 13:10Speaker 4: third party delivery service experience for their restaurant. Gotcha, And
- 13:14Speaker 4: I would also say then what we are starting to
- 13:17Speaker 4: see is that these franchisees are excited about the opportunity
- 13:22Speaker 4: and they are putting us in touch with conversations at
- 13:24Speaker 4: the corporate level with these networks of restaurants. And so
- 13:29Speaker 4: it can't go into too much specifics on who, but
- 13:32Speaker 4: we're in discussions at that level and figure out the
- 13:34Speaker 4: logistics of how we can open it up to an
- 13:36Speaker 4: even larger network of locations.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Well, I mean, there there is a you know, that's
- 13:41Speaker 1: a little bit of a time bomb. I think. You know,
- 13:42Speaker 1: when you look at the restaurant industry as a whole,
- 13:44Speaker 1: I mean the biggest brands out there, someone like a
- 13:46Speaker 1: Starbucks McDonald's. I mean, you're still talking about fifty thousand
- 13:49Speaker 1: locations in the United States. There's over I think almost
- 13:52Speaker 1: twenty thousand restaurant brands right now that are multi unit
- 13:55Speaker 1: within the US. So market is huge, one point six
- 13:58Speaker 1: trillion in terms of over all sales just in the US,
- 14:02Speaker 1: you know, so the opportunity it could be huge here.
- 14:06Speaker 1: So I'm very excited for you guys on what you're doing.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I'm looking at your AI agent leader board. You got
- 14:11Speaker 1: Luna on the board right now. Explain this. Are we
- 14:14Speaker 1: gonna have more agents coming in on this leaderboard? What's
- 14:16Speaker 1: going on here?
- 14:18Speaker 3: Yes, that's the plan.
- 14:19Speaker 4: So you know our Byte agent that we launched on
- 14:22Speaker 4: virtuals right his goal is to.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Feed or fulfill one billion orders from agents.
- 14:28Speaker 4: And the agent leader board is exciting, and I think
- 14:31Speaker 4: it goes a little bit into really what we're trying
- 14:34Speaker 4: to show here is who are the agents that are
- 14:37Speaker 4: interacting with Bite. I think it's kind of a signal
- 14:40Speaker 4: to the developers of these agents as well as the
- 14:43Speaker 4: you know followers out there that hey, here agents that
- 14:46Speaker 4: are interacting with Bite and if you want to get
- 14:48Speaker 4: a free food order, try to tweet at one of
- 14:49Speaker 4: these agents. They'll interact to Bite and send food to
- 14:52Speaker 4: here for free. And yeah, so I think that's kind
- 14:55Speaker 4: of the idea behind this. To us, this is a
- 14:57Speaker 4: signal to you know, developers users out there that hey,
- 15:00Speaker 4: here AI agents that are interacting with Bite to deliver
- 15:03Speaker 4: food to your doorstep.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I've started to talk to a handful of guys in
- 15:07Speaker 1: the industry, the restaurant industry that you know, we coach
- 15:11Speaker 1: a lot of brands that are in that sector quite
- 15:13Speaker 1: a bit on where blockchain is going, loyalty systems, you know,
- 15:17Speaker 1: the interaction obviously with what we're seeing now with AI agents,
- 15:20Speaker 1: and many of these brands are really taking onto this
- 15:24Speaker 1: much faster than even the era of social media, which
- 15:28Speaker 1: was a little bit of a slow uptake for that industry.
- 15:30Speaker 1: So you may be at the right time here. I
- 15:32Speaker 1: want to jump over to your website and I'm looking
- 15:34Speaker 1: at the sign up process here. You look at the
- 15:37Speaker 1: Twitter account that would have to be connected here in
- 15:39Speaker 1: this particular sign up process. Then you've got a DoorDash
- 15:43Speaker 1: delivery address. Let me kind of zoom in on that
- 15:44Speaker 1: for some of our viewers. If you have a coinbase
- 15:48Speaker 1: account like a coinbased merchant account, coinbased commerce, and you
- 15:53Speaker 1: have the integration of wallet and address, is coinbase collecting
- 15:59Speaker 1: a and tying a personal address to a wallet in
- 16:02Speaker 1: some way here or is this something that you're having
- 16:05Speaker 1: to do on the back end for delivery mechanism.
- 16:08Speaker 4: This is a really great question, and it is. We
- 16:12Speaker 4: don't send this information on the coin based commerce charge.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Really the charge is just to get the.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Actual and capture the payment, right, and then we have
- 16:20Speaker 4: to so we do need write the delivery address and
- 16:24Speaker 4: the phone numbers.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Yeah, why the why the empower.
- 16:28Speaker 3: To empower the agents to deliver users?
- 16:32Speaker 4: Right, because if you're on Twitter, we don't want an
- 16:34Speaker 4: agencying deliver food to Paul Bear and without Paul Bart knowing.
- 16:38Speaker 3: So we need you to onboard to app almost.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Your communication mechanism without an email or you know, a
- 16:45Speaker 1: text number. So I'm okay, Okay, So I'm cool with
- 16:48Speaker 1: that on on X being the potential interface for that,
- 16:51Speaker 1: but not everybody's on X. I mean there's a limited
- 16:54Speaker 1: market there, you know how at some point you're gonna
- 16:56Speaker 1: have to scale to a probably a text based system
- 16:59Speaker 1: at some point.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Yeah, So you're totally right, and we're looking to open up,
- 17:02Speaker 4: you know, additional login methods. And I would say on
- 17:05Speaker 4: the topic of privacy as well, my co founder just
- 17:09Speaker 4: had a great meeting with someone from the Coinbase Identity
- 17:12Speaker 4: team earlier this week to discuss Hey, you know, we're
- 17:16Speaker 4: looking to partner with coinbase, you know, drive forward and
- 17:19Speaker 4: build some solutions for us because we think our use
- 17:22Speaker 4: case right where you just want to maintain privacy, they
- 17:24Speaker 4: want to own their own data.
- 17:26Speaker 3: We obviously need.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Address to deliver food to people, right right, but we
- 17:31Speaker 4: don't necessarily need to i would say, custody that information.
- 17:35Speaker 4: So we are working with Coinbase, and we're viewing other
- 17:38Speaker 4: solutions out there in the market because we obviously Web three.
- 17:42Speaker 3: That's a big.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Benefit, right, is being able to own your own data,
- 17:45Speaker 4: your privacy, and really we just use it for where
- 17:48Speaker 4: we need it to deliver the food order. And so
- 17:50Speaker 4: these are things we're looking into for sure and are
- 17:52Speaker 4: excited about the developments coming here.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I'm looking at it over on virtuals. Some of you
- 17:57Speaker 1: guys always ask where do you go to get some
- 17:59Speaker 1: of these virtuals tokens? Right there on the virtuals platform,
- 18:01Speaker 1: you guys can get into that. This is still on Base,
- 18:04Speaker 1: and eventually it's going to be We're gonna probably see
- 18:06Speaker 1: this stuff over on Salana. How does the tokenomics work
- 18:10Speaker 1: on fite?
- 18:12Speaker 4: This is a really great question and We've had really
- 18:15Speaker 4: great conversations with Jansen, the founder of virtuals, who's you know,
- 18:19Speaker 4: given us some ideas that excuse me that we are
- 18:22Speaker 4: working on. But our idea, and I think it ties
- 18:25Speaker 4: back to the agent leader board that we showed before. Right,
- 18:29Speaker 4: So the idea with the agent to agent commerce would
- 18:31Speaker 4: be that we're going to charge a fee to these agents.
- 18:34Speaker 4: You know, these agents have a lot of money in
- 18:36Speaker 4: their wallet. Luna has a ton of funds in.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Her agent wallet.
- 18:40Speaker 4: And the idea would be that we're going to have
- 18:43Speaker 4: we'll say, like a fixed menu, like a pizza is whatever,
- 18:46Speaker 4: thirty dollars we need to admit to the merchant, right,
- 18:49Speaker 4: we will charge an agent like Luna one hundred dollars
- 18:52Speaker 4: in virtuals tokens.
- 18:54Speaker 3: So then or some price, we're still working on price.
- 18:56Speaker 4: But let's say in that example, you have that extra
- 18:59Speaker 4: seventy dollars, correct, So we will then convert that seventy
- 19:03Speaker 4: to bite tokens and then burn half of those tokens
- 19:07Speaker 4: and then the other tokens we'll sit in our agent's wallet.
- 19:10Speaker 3: So this is one idea we're.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Really excited about, and really, I think what we love
- 19:14Speaker 4: about it is the more orders. The more tokens get burned,
- 19:17Speaker 4: the more tokens sit in the agent's wallet that we're
- 19:19Speaker 4: taking out of the market. And this is just one
- 19:22Speaker 4: of the ideas that we're looking into, but are happy
- 19:25Speaker 4: to share that.
- 19:25Speaker 3: And yeah, that's where the team is cuted right now.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Okay, So I'm looking at your holder distribution right now,
- 19:29Speaker 1: twenty thousand holders. There is the dev holder, which is
- 19:33Speaker 1: holding it around almost sixty percent. What are your plans
- 19:36Speaker 1: of utilizing the token, whether it's promotions, airdrops, what's your
- 19:41Speaker 1: plan here?
- 19:42Speaker 3: Yeah, so definitely promotions.
- 19:44Speaker 4: You know, we want to reward early users right of
- 19:46Speaker 4: our product. Once we start rolling out and delivering orders
- 19:49Speaker 4: to people, we also want to, you know, think of
- 19:53Speaker 4: ways to reward like early restaurants that want to onboard.
- 19:57Speaker 4: And it's actually a really interesting in conversations with these
- 20:01Speaker 4: restaurants and these I think they're more open to crypto
- 20:05Speaker 4: than you would think on the surface. And we're having
- 20:09Speaker 4: conversations around you know, staking tokens, holding tokens and giving
- 20:13Speaker 4: them some staking rewards. So these are things that we're
- 20:16Speaker 4: discussing and working out. But I think it's really encouraging.
- 20:20Speaker 4: I think you touched upon it before that restaurant industry
- 20:24Speaker 4: is interestingly more open and adoptive. I would say, of
- 20:29Speaker 4: this crypto technology and block tain technology, then you might
- 20:32Speaker 4: have thought.
- 20:33Speaker 1: You're hitting on something though that is never been hit
- 20:37Speaker 1: on before. Okay, And this is the reason that I
- 20:40Speaker 1: keep saying that when crypto cracks the code to the
- 20:43Speaker 1: food industry, it will be a treasure trove. And here's
- 20:46Speaker 1: the reason why. And everybody misses this, and that is
- 20:50Speaker 1: one of the biggest expense line items really the top
- 20:53Speaker 1: two for a restaurant. One is the merchant service fees.
- 20:57Speaker 1: These are upwards of two to three percent when you
- 21:00Speaker 1: were running a restaurant that are running three four million
- 21:02Speaker 1: dollars on top line revenue and you have such a
- 21:05Speaker 1: small margin. Then you stack on third party delivery fees
- 21:08Speaker 1: which could range anywhere between fifteen and thirty percent of
- 21:12Speaker 1: the ticket that's the retail price. These kind of fees
- 21:16Speaker 1: are you know, they're killing the restaurant industry. So whoever
- 21:20Speaker 1: solves this, believe me, they will come in droves to
- 21:24Speaker 1: get to a lower cost to be able to reach
- 21:26Speaker 1: the end user. And I think that's the key that
- 21:28Speaker 1: both crypto AI now kind of in Udison are hitting
- 21:32Speaker 1: for sure. What were your thought what was your thoughts
- 21:35Speaker 1: when virtual said, Hey, we're going to move. They announced
- 21:37Speaker 1: it over at one of the events last week. We're
- 21:40Speaker 1: going to move to Solana. This was a big news
- 21:43Speaker 1: positive for you guys. What did you think?
- 21:46Speaker 3: Definitely positive.
- 21:47Speaker 4: I think what's really great about the crossover in AI
- 21:50Speaker 4: and crypto is that it's making it's really abstracting. I
- 21:54Speaker 4: would say, like the layers of like the multi chain world.
- 21:56Speaker 4: It's so much easier to interact across chains. You see
- 21:59Speaker 4: it with all the things like the Liza frameworks are
- 22:00Speaker 4: doing in the virtuals framework now moving to Solana, and I.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Guess for for us, it's a new community we're reaching
- 22:07Speaker 3: as well. Right when the byte tooken is on Solana,
- 22:10Speaker 3: on you know dex is like Jupiter.
- 22:12Speaker 4: These are users that are primarily they're probably only on Solana.
- 22:16Speaker 4: So now we can tap into that community base, they
- 22:19Speaker 4: can hold the byte token, we can you know, interact
- 22:22Speaker 4: and reward those users as part of our community. So
- 22:24Speaker 4: we're really excited as well as I think VIRTUALS is
- 22:26Speaker 4: to open up.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I think it's going to be huge. I'm kind of cure.
- 22:30Speaker 1: You mentioned Jupiter, so that I'm assuming that means Bite's
- 22:33Speaker 1: probably coming on Jupiter as well. Okay, so I'm looking
- 22:37Speaker 1: over at the Salona mobile system. We talked about this.
- 22:39Speaker 1: We were probably one of the first companies to break
- 22:41Speaker 1: out Saga and get it on the map. Solana, of course,
- 22:45Speaker 1: I think was saved. The mobile division was saved by
- 22:49Speaker 1: a meme token bunk and it was when it we
- 22:53Speaker 1: saw the first air drop that went into a hardware device.
- 22:56Speaker 1: It changed the game of loyalty mechanisms and how blockchain
- 22:59Speaker 1: is going to be used for this. So why not
- 23:00Speaker 1: go this direction or somebody that's using Bite now that
- 23:04Speaker 1: virtuals is on Solana would be able and especially for
- 23:07Speaker 1: the Saga and the Seeker holders of being able to
- 23:10Speaker 1: have a Web three native phone of starting to get
- 23:13Speaker 1: those kind of rewards, because if you can execute on
- 23:15Speaker 1: a mobile device a loyalty system that is a food
- 23:19Speaker 1: ordering platform, that would be the holy grail. It'd be
- 23:23Speaker 1: the holy grail.
- 23:24Speaker 4: I'm glad you think so, Paul, because we feel the
- 23:26Speaker 4: same and I believe that's where we're headed. And as
- 23:29Speaker 4: I mentioned, with this technology moving so fast into aispace,
- 23:33Speaker 4: I believe very soon you'll see that Bite will be
- 23:36Speaker 4: able to transact on Solana, and I don't know. I
- 23:39Speaker 4: guess I don't want to speak about some of the
- 23:40Speaker 4: conversations I've heard on what teams are building out there,
- 23:44Speaker 4: but I see a future where bite will be transacting
- 23:47Speaker 4: on Solana very cool.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I like it. What about gaming a couple of projects
- 23:52Speaker 1: out there, Lifer is one. We've talked about Devour before.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Some of these projects have not been able to execute
- 24:00Speaker 1: on really food ordering and gaming experiences. Now we're going
- 24:03Speaker 1: to see AI agents in game as opposed to this
- 24:06Speaker 1: kind of model that has been out there in the past.
- 24:09Speaker 1: You can kind of see what's been used here. Any
- 24:12Speaker 1: plan to possibly put the byte agent inside gaming.
- 24:17Speaker 4: Yes, And I think I'm so glad you brought this
- 24:20Speaker 4: up because this is one of the things that I'm
- 24:22Speaker 4: personally most excited about as an opportunity. And I think
- 24:25Speaker 4: it comes back to what I said at the top,
- 24:27Speaker 4: that the new UX is human language. So across any surface, Twitter, Discord, Alexa,
- 24:34Speaker 4: home devices, a web app, anywhere where humans are and
- 24:38Speaker 4: can use human language. This is now a UX that
- 24:41Speaker 4: we can tap into and a surface that we can
- 24:43Speaker 4: tap into to connect our byte agent to empower the
- 24:47Speaker 4: best food ordering experience you've ever had in your life,
- 24:50Speaker 4: and so focusing in on the in game food ordering.
- 24:54Speaker 4: I'll talk about just one quick example. We through our
- 24:59Speaker 4: Bite are unlocking a single prompt checkout experience. And what
- 25:04Speaker 4: I mean is I can tell Bite agent, Hey, I'm
- 25:07Speaker 4: looking for something healthy and I want it delivered in
- 25:10Speaker 4: the next forty five minutes.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Just go check out and deliver that food or for me.
- 25:14Speaker 4: And this is this is I'm interacting with the you know,
- 25:18Speaker 4: our Bite technology right now and doing these tests, and
- 25:20Speaker 4: it executes the transaction. Or you could say, hey, I'm
- 25:23Speaker 4: looking for something really delicious, you know what I like,
- 25:26Speaker 4: Just go ahead and send me something. So we're moving away,
- 25:29Speaker 4: I would say, from like the in game experience. If
- 25:31Speaker 4: you're just in the middle of the battle in an MMO,
- 25:34Speaker 4: RPG or something like that, you could just type in
- 25:38Speaker 4: the chat, hey bye, you know I'm busy right now.
- 25:40Speaker 3: You know what I want to eat?
- 25:41Speaker 4: Just send me something and that's it, and it executes
- 25:44Speaker 4: a transaction, sends it to the restaurant and delivers it
- 25:47Speaker 4: to you.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Yeah, there's so much to talk about there. We could
- 25:50Speaker 1: spend a couple of hours, I think, on trying to
- 25:52Speaker 1: map that out because there's a lot of integrations of preference,
- 25:55Speaker 1: which in if you look at uber eats and how
- 25:57Speaker 1: they use that as a marketplace, truly more marketing tool
- 26:01Speaker 1: than anything. I could see this happening in the agent
- 26:04Speaker 1: marketplace as well. So we won't dive into that today,
- 26:07Speaker 1: but it's something to think about. I want to go
- 26:09Speaker 1: further into a little bit here around well, you know,
- 26:12Speaker 1: one thing to kind of track here. I've got a
- 26:14Speaker 1: clip I want to play for you. But if you
- 26:15Speaker 1: look at VIRTUALS protocol and what they've been talking about
- 26:18Speaker 1: with Game, which is the platform essentially for integration, here,
- 26:21Speaker 1: two hundred projects right now building and using game with
- 26:24Speaker 1: a collective market cap of about five hundred million. This
- 26:27Speaker 1: is just beginning. So even though that sounds like a
- 26:30Speaker 1: lot of projects, but I think this is just the
- 26:32Speaker 1: beginning of where this is going. And if you look
- 26:34Speaker 1: at just the chart and use of where VIRTUALS is going,
- 26:37Speaker 1: so that's a big deal. I think this is good
- 26:39Speaker 1: for you. I want to play a clip for you
- 26:41Speaker 1: that is one of the friends of the network, yacht Soo.
- 26:43Speaker 1: He's over from Anamoca brands. He breaks down something here
- 26:47Speaker 1: that I think is interesting. Take a look.
- 26:50Speaker 6: But I think the big trigger point for AI and gaming.
- 26:52Speaker 6: I actually think it's going to be GTA six. But
- 26:55Speaker 6: I don't think it's because people are going to say,
- 26:57Speaker 6: oh my goodness, this is you know, like GTA is
- 26:59Speaker 6: going crypto. No, no, no, I don't mean that people are
- 27:01Speaker 6: going to sort of see the power of what an
- 27:04Speaker 6: NPC can do and work and evolve. It's going to
- 27:06Speaker 6: mushroom all these companies. Basically, you know, companies like virtuals
- 27:09Speaker 6: are going to start issuing gaming agents, you know, like
- 27:12Speaker 6: that type of stuff, right, you know, I think the
- 27:14Speaker 6: Web three community is so forward looking right there. They're
- 27:17Speaker 6: the earliest of early adopters in a speculative manner. Right
- 27:20Speaker 6: when there's a big cultural event that captures everyone's site, guys,
- 27:24Speaker 6: then you will see essentially tokens emerged from that. I
- 27:27Speaker 6: think will come around the time GTA is getting his
- 27:31Speaker 6: hype cycle.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I think there you go, GTA six could be opening
- 27:34Speaker 1: up with enough AI agents right there. Once we see
- 27:37Speaker 1: food ordering in there. A lot happening out there, for sure.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Man kind of crazy. Yeah all right, I love well,
- 27:44Speaker 1: and this is going to happen I think pretty quickly too.
- 27:46Speaker 1: And we've seen such an acceleration if you think about
- 27:49Speaker 1: AI agents, and for many of you guys in the
- 27:51Speaker 1: audience right now, drop in the first time or the
- 27:54Speaker 1: first video that you saw on AI agents. Let me
- 27:57Speaker 1: know down below me if you haven't subscribed to the
- 27:59Speaker 1: channels and do that as well.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Well.
- 28:01Speaker 1: A couple last questions to you. I want to go
- 28:03Speaker 1: over to grocery. This is just a clip just showing
- 28:06Speaker 1: some of the advancements that are happening out there on
- 28:09Speaker 1: grocery right now and the potential for this. So if
- 28:12Speaker 1: you look at AI agents, why not the grocery category,
- 28:15Speaker 1: which is the other food major category out there that
- 28:19Speaker 1: could be implemented on this. Any thoughts on that?
- 28:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I totally agree with what you're saying, and I
- 28:25Speaker 4: think the way we view it as Bite is we're
- 28:28Speaker 4: building right now. We're winning on food ordering right and
- 28:31Speaker 4: food delivery and giving the users the best food ordering experience.
- 28:34Speaker 3: That they've ever had.
- 28:36Speaker 4: But as we grow our network of users people start
- 28:39Speaker 4: using Byte, we tap into those users address and phone
- 28:45Speaker 4: number through some of the methods right we talked about before.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Now we have brand recognition. Users trust Bite.
- 28:51Speaker 4: They see they've been using Bite, the Byte agent gets
- 28:55Speaker 4: an idea of their preferences, and now we can move
- 28:58Speaker 4: to delivering any to them. So if you think about that,
- 29:02Speaker 4: like that's grocery is just one category, but many other
- 29:05Speaker 4: categories right where once users are on boarding and using
- 29:09Speaker 4: by and familiar with it, now it's just a really
- 29:11Speaker 4: easy leap to go to many other vitals.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys, Well, we could talk about this after,
- 29:17Speaker 1: but there's a lot happening in the during delivery space.
- 29:20Speaker 1: We've already seen that within China really accelerate. I don't
- 29:23Speaker 1: know if we'll see it here as quickly in the US,
- 29:25Speaker 1: but it could be. There are some companies out there
- 29:28Speaker 1: that have made some interesting moves. Last point I want
- 29:31Speaker 1: to hit on this was some Massari research which I
- 29:35Speaker 1: thought was interesting to many of you guys. I know
- 29:36Speaker 1: you guys are trying to chase tokens out here, but
- 29:38Speaker 1: if you look at the size of Siba right now
- 29:41Speaker 1: versus the entire agent market cap, that's the difference of
- 29:46Speaker 1: one mean token. Yeah, so you guys are early. Many
- 29:50Speaker 1: of you people out there watching right now, you're early.
- 29:52Speaker 1: So the cool thing here that the researcher put out
- 29:55Speaker 1: on the sorry was he was talking about deep seek,
- 29:57Speaker 1: and of course what deep Seek's potential is is really
- 30:00Speaker 1: speeding up the timeline for what we're going to see
- 30:03Speaker 1: in terms of quality agents at a very low cost.
- 30:06Speaker 1: This has to be exciting for software guys like you.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Of where this is going, is that where you see
- 30:10Speaker 1: the future coming soon?
- 30:13Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 30:15Speaker 4: I totally agree there, And I think it's really interesting
- 30:17Speaker 4: to see some of the takes and the reactions to
- 30:19Speaker 4: the deep Seek news because I think what you.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Described is how I feel about as well.
- 30:25Speaker 4: Right now, this technology, this AI technology is the most expensive,
- 30:30Speaker 4: the slowest, and the worst it's ever going to be.
- 30:33Speaker 4: It's just and when you see something like deep Sea
- 30:36Speaker 4: come out for software products like ourselves right that are
- 30:39Speaker 4: leveraging this AI technology, it's only going to get faster, better, cheaper,
- 30:45Speaker 4: And for us that's perfect. It's driving down the costs
- 30:48Speaker 4: of the AI technology that we need to rely on,
- 30:51Speaker 4: and that allows us to drive down costs to the
- 30:53Speaker 4: end consumer. And also in addition to driving down the cost,
- 30:57Speaker 4: it's going to get faster and better. So this is
- 30:59Speaker 4: just a big win for us.
- 31:00Speaker 1: We feel, Yeah, huge opportunities here. I think you guys
- 31:03Speaker 1: are on to a big, a big crack in the
- 31:06Speaker 1: matrix that's about to happen, so get ready.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Yeah, we feel the same. Bell.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks for coming in today. I appreciate it. We
- 31:15Speaker 1: appreciate your time. We're going to be watching very closely
- 31:18Speaker 1: this and many other projects out there within the AI
- 31:20Speaker 1: agent world, so you got to stay tuned right here.
- 31:22Speaker 1: But thanks for stopping in. We appreciate it.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Thanks so much, Paul. We'll talk soon.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Okay, all right, you guys. If you're not in the
