I am your host, Jester Dooms. Today is Friday, October 9th, 2026. Good morning, everybody. Happy Friday. You've made it to Friday. I hope you have some really exciting and awesome plans for the weekend. Yeah. It's been a very exhausting week. I think I'm ready for a break from all the work we've been doing around here, but it I feel like it's only gonna get more involved. It's only gonna get more and more involved. As you're listening to this, we will hopefully have a nice roaring fire going. because I have a massive pile of debris from the forest floor to to burn. So hopefully we can get this fire going early and it hopefully as you're driving to work listening to this in your car, it's already burning. Yes. It's just been it's been a week. I'm so ready for this weekend. The media has been very bizarre. Lots of crazy things going on. And a story that I'm not going to get into on today's show, but I'm just curious if anybody's heard about this House of Horrors house in Philadelphia. So in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, if you're not in the in the know about this, there's apparently a house that has been connected to multiple victims. And just I I'm I'm like waiting for a good everything's under investigation right now. So I'm waiting for like a conclusive news story with, you know, findings and direct evidence and and charges and, you know, just all all of the things, right? Victims identified the whole nine yards. But this is one of those cases where it may never come to fruition. Okay, it just it may never happen. And it's partly because one of the perpetrators has passed on. The I guess alleged secondary perpetrator of all this is alive and as is in custody at this time. It's a very bizarre thing. So I guess how this all came to light is a man and a woman were together in a vehicle. I think married, but I'm not too sure. Had a fake ID. Handed it to law enforcement. The name on the ID was for a missing person. Now this got linked back to them, and you know, now it's like multiple victims, multiple things going on. This guy was making like murder porn videos on the internet, and there people speculated that everything you were seeing in those videos were were real. So it's a very scary, scary situation, like real life horror movie shit. Very fucked up. And I'm waiting in and like this is the thing. Like this guy is I mean, in my opinion, this guy is definitely guilty. He definitely knew what was going on. So he's claiming, the internet says he's claiming that his father was the one behind all the murders, things like that, and that he passed away. He didn't the the son didn't have anything to do with it, which I call bullshit. But this like If if I'm sorry, if Rob Zombie doesn't get the rights to this film and doesn't remake this into a movie, I would be shocked. Cause this this has like the devil's rejects written like all fucking over it. So we're gonna we're gonna see what what comes out of it. But like how bizarre this story breaks during spooky season. That's pretty wild, to say the least. It's pretty wild. you know, moving moving forward though, I I think that We're gonna see a lot more come out of this because when you have a house of horrors like this and it's real, everybody wants to start connecting the dots. So they're gonna connect victims to this house that have nothing to do with this house. Like basically any person any anybody that fits the profile of somebody that they can confirm that's gone missing in the Philadelphia area from time A to time B, they're gonna try to connect to this house. And if these Perpetrators, if these guys were actively doing this and actively making these online videos and everything else, who knows how many victims there could actually be? There could be a lot. I can't wait to hear. Now, see, I don't do true crime on my show. Like I'm not a true crime podcaster. I don't have the time and the patience to sit down and research a story every week. And I don't have a co-host that would be dedicated to it either. Like the only way I could consider doing a true crime triumph True crime podcast is if I had a devoted host, devoted co-host who wanted to do this every week and sit down and actually do the research and, you know, get it out there. Like it it'd just be, it would be too fucking much for me to do on my own with everything else I got going on. Anyway. But this is definitely going to hit the the true crime world and it's gonna be insane when they start dropping podcasts and documentaries about this. It's gonna be absolutely wild. Anyway, we'll be right back after these messages. Can't get enough of Jester Dooms? Check out his other show, It's Doomsday Podcast, available on all podcast platforms. That's It's Doomsday Podcast. It's a nice hat, by the way. Krista Pike awake speaking after failed execution attorney say by Jill McLovin on the Epic Times. Death row inmate. Krista Pike is awake and talking after surviving two botch lethal injections, her attorney said on october sixth. The statement was first public the statement was the first public confirmed confirmation that the death row inmate has improved since she was taken away in an ambulance from Nashville prison on september thirtieth. In quotes, despite the severe damage she endured to her arm, she is still handcuffed and shackled to the bed, her attorney said, calling her recovery medically unprecedented. Right, because she was supposed to be dead. And if they didn't seek out medical attention for her, she would have been dead. Okay. Prison officials at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution gave her two doses of pentobarbital after the U.S. Supreme Court. lifted a temporary stay of her execution for the nineteen ninety five murder of classmate Colleen Slimmer. The injections didn't kill her but burned and blistered Pike's arms, her lawyer said, and sh and she was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center hospital where she has received constant care. And quotes, we are gr incredibly grateful to the first responders and the medical team at the hospital who treated Krista like a human and have provided exceptional care to her. Her attorney said, because if they didn't, they'd get sued. Do you know how many times I've had somebody in my care and I couldn't stand the person? You don't give inadequate care. Okay. You still have to be a professional. You still have to do your job. Did the nurses and first responders, were they happy to see her? And and no, no, no, no, no. They know what she did. I guarantee you they were on this ambulance like, Jesus, man, why the fuck did they even call us? But they have to do their fucking job. Okay. Jesus. We also want to thank thousands from all over the world who sent messages offering prayers and support for Krista. Which blows my fucking mind, this woman is a murderer. Let's not forget that. Like, let's not fucking forget. That she's on death row cause she committed a murder. Let's not forget she was riding in the back of the ambulance because she was execu she was sentenced to death and beat the odds because her execution was botched. The the who the fuck is sending prayers and condolences and support for this bitch? You gotta be fucking kidding me. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee halted the executions at the prison pending a review of procedure and protocols following Pike's incident. Her lawyers are asking the governor to commute her death sentence to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. I say no, fucking try again. I say no, fucking try again. Now, apparently, and I have yet to look into it, but the way Tennessee law works, what's in their statute, is that they have to perform this again. If you received a death sentence, they have to complete that. It doesn't matter if the first attempt failed. Hence why she got a second oath of the lethal injection drugs. In quotes, Krista's life has been extraordinarily difficult, her lawyers said. Yes, but she had a life, unlike her victim. She is the only person known to have survived a complete execution attempt in the US. Bullshit. Krista is a survivor and it will take recovery one day at a time. Nobody fucking cares. The Tennessee Attorney General and the Governor's Office didn't return requests for comment. Why would they? Pike's case was the second boss execution at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution, according to the Death Penalty Information Center at National Nonprofit that publishes information about capital punishment. In May, an attempt to execute inmate Tony Carruthers failed after prison nurses couldn't establish an intervenous line. Prompting the governor to grant one year reprieve. Dr. Joe Zivitt, a professor of anesthesiology, said Tennessee's lethal injection technique is failing more and more. The state requires the placement of two separate intervenous catheters in the prisoners. The photobarbital is injected into one of the catheters. The chemical is meant to circulate in the bloodstream and cause death if the first injection fails to do so. A second and equal quantity of the medication is injected into the other catheter, and that is expected to cause death, Zivot said in a social media video. In Pike's case, both of these things were done and both failed, he said. And in this case, I think the reason why it failed, it seems like it seems likely that the veins themselves had the venous catheters in them, that those venous, those veins fell apart, Zivitt said, and it should have never failed. It should be 100% perfect. And it's actually failing more and more. Pike's attorney said prison officials were notified of challenges with her veins before lethal injection met medication was injected. Her attorneys are scheduled to be in court Wednesday in Davison County for an emergency motion filed after the failed execution attempts. The lawyers are asking the court to preserve evidence connection to the execution attempts, such as the needles, IV equipment, and medications, while additional legal actions action is considered. Pike is being represented by lawyers Randy Spivvy and Kelly Gleason from the Tennessee office of the post convic conviction defender, and Stephen Farrell and Luke I am from the Federal Defense Services of Eastern Tennessee. I'm your host, Jester Dooms. Joining me is the ever-talented producer Scooter. Okay, so I wanna I wanna break this down into a couple parts. Part one: there are Krista Pike supporters and sympathizers all over the fucking place. And that blows my mind. This woman committed murder and sat on death row absorbing taxpayer funding for 30 years. Fucking years. Where is the sympathizers for the victim's family? What the fuck is going on? This absolutely blows my mind that the general public is sympathizing with a killer. If that doesn't tell you how fucked up society's becoming, I don't know what will. The stories that I that I've been hearing in the social media videos, she she's she was a victim of solitary confinement. Yeah, she's a murderer in prison. That happens. Don't go to prison. Don't kill people. She was a survivor of the solitary confinement. Like I don't know why they're hanging on that. If she she's she had another fucking murder. She tried to kill another inmate at one point and got I think got put in there is I think what happened. So you know, poor her c tried to commit murder after being convicted of murder and got put in solitary. Poor fucking her, right? The fuck? Now You know, I understand look, attorneys are fucking weasels. Okay. They they are. All right. Attorneys would fuck their own mothers for a paycheck. They don't care. And it just blows my mind you have these attorneys right up her fucking ass, like, what do you want to do? We think we can make some money off you. What do you want to do? Let's make this very, very public. What do you want to do? It's like, you gotta be fucking kidding me. Like, this is insane. Okay, so the idea of Commuting her sentence and giving her life without the possibility of parole, I think is fucking horseshit. Do you know why I think it's horse shit? Because inmates are good for something. Inmates are good for crying woof when it comes to medical problems. Okay, they they do this. And it's because it gets them things. Extra medication, maybe better food, maybe more trips to the nurse, maybe frequent visits to the ER, so they get to go on little field trips. So this bitch has been in prison for 30 fucking years. She knows how the system works. She's not an idiot. So now anytime she wants to go for a ride and get out of there, I'm having this issue. I'm having this issue. Where's my attorney? Get me to the hospital. Blah, blah, blah. That's what it's going to be. And it's going to be a bigger draw on the taxpayer fund, on the taxpayer dime. It's going to be even more. Now, here's something to think about. There's some things in the medical realm that just can't be. Disproven. Like there are things you could say to a doctor that they can't prove one way or the other. So if you go to the doctor and you say, Doctor, I'm really itchy. I have hives all over me. And the doctor examines you and says, Dude, you don't have hives. I think you you just maybe you have dry skin, but we can't give you anything for that. You know, g we can give you a a topical moisturizer, but we can't give you like a drug. You're not exhibiting something for us to medicate, but we can't say that you're not itchy. We can't definitively say That you don't feel itchy. So we can give you a cream and we could send you home. If you go to the doctor and you say, Doctor, look, I've got like this wicked back pain. It won't stop. It hurts right here. The doctor can order MRIs. The doctor can order X rays. And the doctor could probably go ahead and figure out what the fuck is actually wrong with your back. Okay. But it is one of those situations you can have shit tons of pain and not have a determined cause. Right. Like that's that's that's a thing. So a lot of the times when a patient is saying it hurts here, you know, medical professionals will say it will describe the pain. Is it like a throbbing pain? Is it a burning pain? Is it a stabbing pain? Is it a shooting pain? What kind of pain is it? Let's start there. You say, well, it's a it's a it's like a shooting pain and it's it's radiating from, you know, my elbow to my wrist. Okay, well the doctor will go ahead and and make a determination to say, okay, it looks like You hyperextended your elbow and you pulled a tendon and this is what this is coming from. We're gonna give you 800 milligrams of ibuprofen. Here's a script. if it doesn't get better soon, we're gonna have to send you in for like some rehab so you could have a specialist help you work this out. Cause we don't think it needs surgery currently. Now, this bitch, already at the age of I think she's fifty, and already probably ha having underlying health conditions as it is. Okay, could probably milk the shit out of this. Her arms are fucked up. Like fucked up from the drugs. Okay. So now you're talking consistent circulatory problems of the arms. You're talking maybe some nerve damage. You're talking muscle damage. You're talking all kinds of tissue damage. So the amount of medical bills that are going to get incurred for this woman and the amount of treatments and therapies and painkillers and things she might need. moving forward throughout the next year might be extraordinary. Now, I don't know about you, but I don't get free healthcare. I I don't get free meds. I don't get free scripts. I gotta pay for everything. But she commits murder, they botch the execution, and she just gets everything for free now and taken care of. Like that doesn't sound right. And this is the thing too, if and and this is what everybody has to remember. If if they take the death penalty off the table, which I hope to God they do not, and she gets the Life in prison without the possibility of parole, this is gonna gain even more media attention. All right. And what's gonna end up transpiring is you're gonna have people writing the parole board on her behalf nonstop to the point where she has to go in front of the parole board. They can only, you know, when you have so much of a public outcry, they can't ignore it forever. Now, what happens if she gets paroled out? I mean, you have you have these sympathizers. For these bad people. And these sympathizers are fucking crazy and they go to extreme lengths. So you might have these people protesting in front of courthouses around the world calling for her release. You might have them, like I said, writing letters to the parole board, calling nonstop, showing up in person, visiting. God only knows what what people are gonna send to the prison whenever she gets back. Because once the doctor deems her health to be okay. They're gonna send her back to the prison. She's not going to live her life in the hospital. I don't know. I just, like I said, I find it to be very disturbing that there's so many people out there that are sympathetic to a murderer. I find it interesting that people are not pissed off that the lethal injection didn't work. Now, I'm gonna I got one more thing I wanna say about this, and then we're gonna get out of here. There's been many different types of execution used over the years. Hangings, beheadings, firing squad, gas chamber, lethal injection, electric chair. There's there's been a lot used by the judicial system and by courts around the world. Okay. So why do why don't we have effectively a backup? Like if this doesn't work, we're doing this. Like Why not? Because like here's where I'm at with it, just like thinking logically about it. Okay. So why isn't lethal injection coupled with something else in case? I mean, why can't you essentially give somebody lethal injection, get the drugs flowing, leave the room, and also suck out all the oxygen or fill it full of gas? Like, why couldn't you do both to ensure this? Or why can't you have one individual in the room that is armed with a firearm to pull the trigger in the event that this doesn't work, that it has failed. I mean, just like logically thinking. A nine millimeter rounds like 35 fucking cents, 45 fucking cents. Like why not? It just it it's mind blowing that the initial thought was, fuck, her veins blew. This isn't working. We gave her the second dose. We don't know what to do. It blows my mind the go-to for the prison was call nine one one. I understand they have a protocol, but who fucking wrote that protocol? There has to be, I mean, God, we're not it's 2026, man. We don't we don't have something better figured out for these executions. Like, come the fuck on. Anyway. Wanna thank everybody for tuning in to the Doom Daily Show today. I know this is more of a rant, but I'm extremely bothered by this situation. It makes no sense at all. Anyway, I am not going to continue to cover this Chris the Pike thing day after day, weeks on end as the show rolls on. It's just gonna kind of come in spurts as updates happen. But for all intents and purposes, go out there, do your own research, read your own articles, and see what see what is actually happening in the world we live in. That's all. Have a great weekend. We will see you back here on Monday. For another exciting episode of the Doom Daily Show. Jester wants to thank you for listening to the Doom Daily Show. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe.
