Remember, a production by KVOX. What are we talking
• 1:20
about today? About music. Lio, the singer who
• 1:23
fascinated the Italian audience in the early
• 1:25
80s, is still a well -known star in France, where
• 1:28
she continued her career as an actress. We remember
• 1:31
her as the Frenchwoman of Amourou Solitaire,
• 1:33
which was her greatest success, but in reality
• 1:36
she is Portuguese, naturalized Belgian, and her
• 1:38
life has been a rollercoaster. The name of art
• 1:56
is minimalist, for a sort of contrast with that
• 1:59
kilometer of Portuguese tradition, Vanda Maria
• 2:02
Ribeiro Furtado Tavares de Vasconcelos, I inherited
• 2:06
it from a character from the comic books. It
• 2:08
is in fact in Barbarella the comic book of Jean
• 2:10
-Claude Forrest, from which the film with Jean
• 2:13
Fonda was also portrayed, which appeared the
• 2:14
secondary character of Liu, who in turn took
• 2:16
the name from a star. It was Marc Molenna, one
• 2:18
of the components of the Telex, the Belgian group
• 2:20
of Moscov Disco, to give this name to her in
• 2:22
1979, finding a son - And it was always he who
• 2:31
wrote for her his first single, Banana Split,
• 2:33
which was a great success in the entire Francophone
• 2:36
area, where it sold about two million copies,
• 2:39
getting a decent discount even in Italy. And
• 2:55
it would have been probably in many people to
• 2:57
have wanted to say Je t 'aime à la belle Rio
• 2:59
when in 1981 you go out to Morussolitaire, which
• 3:02
would have remained his most successful song.
• 3:20
Positioning herself in the top ten of various
• 3:22
European countries, she arrived in first place
• 3:23
in France and Italy, fourth in the Netherlands
• 3:25
and sixth in Austria. The melody and synth -pop
• 3:29
rhythms typical of the early 80s made her stay
• 3:31
in the top four for four weeks, then becoming
• 3:34
the fourth best -selling single of the year.
• 3:36
After the debut album, Lio's career continued
• 3:38
with highs and lows. In the 90s, the various
• 3:40
albums, in which he often changed style, did
• 3:43
not have a successful return. In the meantime,
• 3:45
she had also become an actress with a series
• 3:47
of films in 1980. which are then also followed
• 3:51
by films in the 90s. Lio has subsequently shown
• 3:54
to his audience another side of himself, performing
• 3:56
in theaters and in front of cameras, proving
• 3:59
to be anything but reserved. During his career,
• 4:02
he did not hesitate to pose for magazines such
• 4:04
as Playboy and to perform on the Olympic stage
• 4:06
in Paris. He continued to appear in numerous
• 4:09
films, singing to stars like Belbon Do, Michel
• 4:11
Blanche and Jean Jordan in the 2004 film Mariage.
• 4:15
Knight of the Order of the Crown, in 2004 Lio
• 4:17
also appeared on the small screen Since 2008,
• 4:20
for three years, Bella Brunetta has been part
• 4:22
of the jury of Novel Star, a television talent
• 4:25
show broadcast on a French channel. In 2011,
• 4:28
she was asked to be part of the jury of The Voice
• 4:30
Bejik, Lio and the mother of six children, born
• 4:33
by four different fathers. Since 2007, she has
• 4:36
had a relationship with the producer Jean -François
• 4:38
Le Petit and recently became a grandmother, even
• 4:40
if she still has an enviable physique. Behind
• 4:42
her cheerful songs, Lio hides a terrible personal
• 4:45
tragedy. She was in fact a victim of violence
