- 0:39We have a special show today, a special guest and a big update
- 0:44about some major developments within the Unicorn Park Dust
- 0:48project. We're joined today by Exit the
- 0:50Matrix. He's one of our key community
- 0:52members, has an impressive background.
- 0:55He's going to share from us, some share with us some things
- 0:58that he's been working on that are going to have a major impact
- 1:02on the UFD project. And it's not just him, it's the
- 1:05whole community continuing to step up but exit.
- 1:09I want to say welcome to the basement, welcome to Duster
- 1:12Club. How are you doing today?
- 1:14Hi Ron, doing really well. Thanks so much for having me.
- 1:18What a pleasure to be here. I've been a long time viewer so
- 1:20it feels a bit surreal to actually be part of the basement
- 1:23show. Thank you.
- 1:25Yeah, well, you're here, you're live, you're in the basement and
- 1:28we've got a lot of big things going on in the project.
- 1:31And I know you've been very involved in making that happen,
- 1:35but your background's impressive.
- 1:37Your story about coming into UFD is interesting.
- 1:39Will you share a little bit just so the, the viewers, the dusters
- 1:43out there get a feel kind of for who you are and the credentials
- 1:46that you bring to, to be able to, to, to help us implement
- 1:50some, some really positive changes in the project?
- 1:54Sure, absolutely. And I'm, I'll say I'm a humble
- 1:56servant of the Unicorn. So before, before any of the
- 1:59credentials that's important to get out of the way because you
- 2:02know, it doesn't matter who we are, I think that all of us are
- 2:04here in service of a common division and that's really what
- 2:07unites us. Absolutely.
- 2:10My a little bit about me, I have a corporate background in
- 2:13leading large components of $100 million plus projects both in
- 2:18the private sector and for governments leadership at
- 2:21executive level. So overseeing big teams, 100
- 2:24plus people of various backgrounds.
- 2:28My specialty really has been in large scale business
- 2:30transformation projects that are enabled by technology.
- 2:33So things where large organizations are looking to
- 2:37change the way that they're doing things and they're looking
- 2:39for how technology can support them.
- 2:42So things like organizational design, process optimization,
- 2:45simplification, strategy, of course, first and foremost
- 2:49through all those things, marketing and sales as well.
- 2:55I've done a lot of work with AI, with web design.
- 2:58One of my specialties on on several of the projects I've
- 3:00been on was security and privacy.
- 3:03I think those things apply. But you know, if all of this
- 3:05sounds kind of like here's a corporate guy type of pyramid
- 3:08stuff, that's not, that's not, that's not really it.
- 3:10That's not, it may seem that way, right, Especially coming
- 3:14from a corporate background. But one of the methodologies
- 3:16that I run across in my in my professional journeys was
- 3:20something called the MG Taylor methodology, which looks at
- 3:23organizations from a flat perspective.
- 3:25It look at looks at them like a hive where various different
- 3:29bees or ants are performing their roles.
- 3:32But it happens in a distributed way.
- 3:34And I think that this really lines up particularly well with
- 3:37the decentralized model of crypto and the UFD community.
- 3:43Yeah. You said something earlier that
- 3:46really struck A chord with me, and I'll see if you can remember
- 3:49exactly how you said it. I couldn't write it down fast
- 3:51enough, but you said something about large, was it large scale
- 3:56business transformations? Was that what you said?
- 3:59Because that? Yeah.
- 4:00Yeah, because when I heard that, I thought and, and what you're
- 4:04saying also, right, about flat organizations and a hive, like
- 4:07sometimes I talk about UFD being like a, I don't know if it's a
- 4:11matrix or like a network where we're all, we're all individual
- 4:15nodes, but we're all interconnected.
- 4:17And but when you said that large scale business transformation,
- 4:22that struck A chord with me because I think it's important
- 4:24for us to remember with UFD we are a like a large organization,
- 4:29right? All the dusters out there, if
- 4:31we, if we thought of ourselves, you know like a quote UN quote
- 4:34company, we've got hundreds, we've got thousands of employees
- 4:39out there. Absolutely.
- 4:41And so to translate it, the corporate terms, the, the types
- 4:45of things I worked with, I had directly about 30,000 clients.
- 4:50And then beyond that, the, the, the customers, the citizens that
- 4:53were benefiting from these projects, we're in the 10s of
- 4:57millions. So that was the scale at which
- 4:59at which I worked, which is, which is why these things in
- 5:02terms of the crypto to me, we're at a starting point.
- 5:04We're absolutely get going to get into millions.
- 5:06We're going to talk about that later because I absolutely have
- 5:08a vision and we're going to Valhalla.
- 5:11But you know, we, we, we start this, this is, this is a
- 5:15journey. And for me, life really is a
- 5:16journey and the things that happen.
- 5:19I'm not looking for an outcome. I'm looking for what are the
- 5:20milestones that I'm going to see?
- 5:22What are the signposts I'm going to see along this journey rather
- 5:24than I'm, I'm shooting for some destination where we're at
- 5:26billions or whatever. No, that's that's not it.
- 5:30Yeah, yeah, yeah. And and that's, you know, I
- 5:33think as we grow and as the community evolves, having some
- 5:37structure in place while remaining decentralized, right.
- 5:41And you talked about that, the other thing you said that really
- 5:44piqued my interest because I've never thought about it that way,
- 5:47But like a, like a, like a giant beehive or a giant Ant colony,
- 5:52right? That, that we have all these
- 5:55people out there and how can we together?
- 5:58Because we all do want good outcomes.
- 6:00We all do want to be as effective as possible.
- 6:03How do we organize things while remaining flat, while remaining
- 6:07decentralized where we can all work effectively, more
- 6:11effectively towards our common goal?
- 6:13Is that am I I'm on track here or am I off track?
- 6:17You're totally on track. I mean, this really was
- 6:19something that you created, and you swim in this pool so well,
- 6:23So I feel like I'm the one who's catching up to it.
- 6:26But yeah, absolutely. I think that looking at
- 6:28methodologies that harness our collective power, not in a way
- 6:32where, you know, you're kind of the boss or, or, or a CEO like
- 6:36you've been saying, you don't feel yourself as CEO of a
- 6:39company, you feel yourself as a major contributor to it.
- 6:43You feel yourself as someone with helping to shape it.
- 6:46But but it's all our collective power that makes it work.
- 6:50It's how do we harness that power, right?
- 6:53Yeah, absolutely. And how do we do it in a way
- 6:56where people don't feel controlled because none of us
- 6:59want to feel controlled and I don't, right, That's true,
- 7:02right. Like I don't have, I don't
- 7:03really have any way to control anything within UFDI.
- 7:08Can, I guess lead by example to the extent that I'm considered a
- 7:13leader, but that's something that I have to earn every day.
- 7:17And everybody else out there, everybody, right, You, me, the
- 7:22person who somewhere in the world, right, because we're
- 7:25distributed all over the world that's watching, really has as
- 7:28much of an ability to contribute as anybody else in the
- 7:32community. 100% yeah. Yeah.
- 7:36You want to take a look at one of the slides, or you want to.
- 7:39Just just a tiny, tiny touch more maybe about the story of
- 7:42how I got into USD, right? Because there's a, there's a bit
- 7:45of a gap here from this, this corporate guy and then UFD.
- 7:48So I left the corporate world a number of years ago and I
- 7:51decided to stop trading time for money.
- 7:53And it's not like I was a millionaire or anything like
- 7:55that. It's not like I'm particularly
- 7:56wealthy. I just chose to live in
- 7:58geographies where cost of living is really low.
- 8:02So I mean, I take on certain small gigs occasionally when I
- 8:04need a cash influx, but I, I choose to live within my means
- 8:09and, and, and, and do it in a way where the things that bring
- 8:12me joy are the things that I focus my, my time on.
- 8:16Wow, well I I need to say something.
- 8:19Sorry to interrupt you but I'm the exact same way.
- 8:24I've always, my grandpa and I used to show this quite a bit.
- 8:28This was his clock. He died when he was 95.
- 8:30And I used to say it's just a matter of time.
- 8:33That's why I wrote UFD. But this was actually my grandpa
- 8:36Hell's clock. And when I was a little boy, he
- 8:38told me always save $0.10 from every dollar that you make,
- 8:43right? Basically live below your means
- 8:46and you'll be and you'll have plenty of money for the rest of
- 8:48your life and you'll have some some independence and some
- 8:52freedom. And that's what, you know, I
- 8:55don't want to go too far down this rabbit hole, but for
- 8:57anybody out there who's living beyond their means, trust me,
- 9:01you can be just as happy, if not even more peaceful and happier
- 9:06living just a little bit below your means because you get a lot
- 9:10of freedom. And, and it's amazing that you
- 9:13realize that you don't need brand new everything all the
- 9:16time to be happy. There's a lot of a lot of
- 9:20opportunity for that just in everyday life. 100% I'm a big
- 9:24believer in the mighty Honda way of life, which is doesn't bring
- 9:26you joy, right? And travelling a fair bit.
- 9:29I trimmed down to just the things that are a better, better
- 9:33quality, but they don't need to be the best of the best.
- 9:35They just need to last me for a period of time because I don't
- 9:37want to drag massive suitcases and things with me, right?
- 9:40It's it's kind of my wife and I chose this life for a reason.
- 9:46Awesome. I love it.
- 9:46I love it. Thanks and actually brings me
- 9:49back to, to, to what I want to talk about next is how I got
- 9:51into UFD. And you may have already seen
- 9:54this story I posted on my profile a couple weeks ago.
- 9:57So you know, if it's boring or repetitive, I apologize.
- 10:00I'll be fairly quick with it. But I got involved with UFD back
- 10:03at the tail end of December 24 for a couple of weeks already.
- 10:10My wife had been listening to your live streams and talking
- 10:13about this meteor is rising and you're missing out, blah, blah.
- 10:16I was, I was a DJ in the trenches doing my doing my
- 10:19leverage plays and losing my money and wondering why the
- 10:22casino was just wasn't going my way.
- 10:23Like this was supposed to be a get get rich quick scheme.
- 10:25So what, you know, what gives? And, and, and finally by the end
- 10:31of December, I've seen enough where I'm going.
- 10:33There's something to this UFD thing.
- 10:35So I ended up buying a bunch of beans and then I started bull
- 10:39posting and I kept increasing my position.
- 10:41Now this was at about 15 X the price of today's beans, so I'm
- 10:46by no means on our wall in terms of the number of beans I hold,
- 10:49even though I put in a fair amount of money into it.
- 10:52And then I stepped away for a period of time just to focus.
- 10:54I had some health issues and some other things were going on.
- 10:57And then a few months ago I came back and started bull posting
- 11:00with a vengeance. Like really going hardcore and I
- 11:03feel the community members liked what I had to say on the
- 11:06timeline and I was nominated for Duster of the Day.
- 11:08So I think it was Magic Mike and Jack who who would be up
- 11:12probably for it. And thank you, by the way, for
- 11:15the distinction. That really meant a lot to me.
- 11:17It's something that I continue to feel like how I'm living up
- 11:20to. I, I felt really humbled by
- 11:24that. And then, and then after that,
- 11:26Jack tapped me on the shoulder to get me more involved on a
- 11:29call with you actually. And I was a little bit reticent,
- 11:32but I got to say I didn't want to interfere with the organic
- 11:34nature and growth of UFD. You know, coming from a
- 11:37corporate background with some strong ideas, I felt like I
- 11:39didn't want to impose my will in any way.
- 11:41So I, I was kind of navigating it in a soft way.
- 11:45But then I saw that, yes, there are a number of gaps that I,
- 11:47that I do see. And then how do I fill them in
- 11:51the best way possible? So enough about me.
- 11:55I mean, the, the, I'm sure the viewers and listeners are here
- 11:57to learn a bit more about what we're up to.
- 12:00And, and all of this is, by the way, that I'm gonna talk about
- 12:03part of the methodology that you've been, you've been
- 12:06evangelizing, if I can use that word, run, which is the buy hold
- 12:10build. I bought the UFD beans.
- 12:13I'm holding them along the side of the community And together
- 12:16we're building both our positions, meaning we're
- 12:18increasing our beans on the dips.
- 12:20And and not only because some of them like, like, you know, the
- 12:23OG Scott buys every day until we get to old plan high, but but
- 12:28together we also build the community for the better.
- 12:32And all the work that I'm about to talk about is things that I'm
- 12:36either involved in hands on or leading in some way.
- 12:40But also I want to mention that there are very talented
- 12:42community members who are participating as well.
- 12:45So there's a lot of work happening in the background on
- 12:47top of what I'm going to talk about.
- 12:49This is not the sum total of what we're doing by any means.
- 12:52Right. Yeah, absolutely.
- 12:55And we're going to talk about the kind of some, some overall
- 12:58structure strategies. I, I guess it's a good way to
- 13:03say it that we're going to implement.
- 13:04We're going to talk about some marketing improvements.
- 13:07We're going to give a sneak peek and some explanation about a new
- 13:10website that's being developed. And we're going to talk about
- 13:14the community Discord server. We got a lot to talk about.
- 13:16You're doing a lot and for everybody out there before in
- 13:20case I forget at the end, thank you so much exit the matrix
- 13:25because you are doing a lot and you do bring a tremendous amount
- 13:30of very kind of high quality insight and talent and you know,
- 13:35dedication to the project. So I want to make sure I get
- 13:38that in there before I before I forget at the end.
- 13:41You may be blessed. Thank you.
- 13:43I really appreciate that. Yeah, would you want to take a
- 13:46look at the at some of the structure ideas?
- 13:49Absolutely. Let's let's flash that up.
- 13:51Let's see if I can pull that up on the screen and that should be
- 13:55on the screen right now. Right on.
- 13:57So take it away. The the first thing I want to
- 14:00talk about is the org structure because that's one of the big
- 14:02accomplishments that we have over the last couple of weeks.
- 14:05We now have a leadership team that's up across all the
- 14:08domains. So you can see here on the
- 14:10picture, we've got different pillars and specifically this is
- 14:13organized not as a pyramid, right?
- 14:15U of D community is actually at the top because we have a
- 14:18servant style of leadership, meaning that we are in the
- 14:21service of the community and all the things that we're doing is
- 14:24to make things better for the community.
- 14:27You know, I mentioned some, something like this before when
- 14:29I, when I got duster of the day, and this isn't original, by the
- 14:31way, it was one of one of you, one of one of the dusters that
- 14:33posted this before. So I adopted it as a saying, I
- 14:36work for you, you work for me. We all work for UFD.
- 14:41And, and this is all, all this work is going to increase the
- 14:44value of UFD. And ultimately when the value
- 14:48catches up, the price, we will melt faces.
- 14:50And I don't mean it any, any facetious way.
- 14:52This is not kind of a, a joke. This is really what I see
- 14:55happening, you know, and then starting, I'll start on the left
- 14:58because that's the, that's something that you would have
- 15:00seen quite a bit of work done on recently.
- 15:03And this is Jack heading up the work around engagement and
- 15:05specifically rating. So we have the four rating what
- 15:10rating related without three specific rating groups and one
- 15:13that offers support by being a general outlet for conversation.
- 15:17And then these things are supported by, by leads and
- 15:20moderators and, and, and so that's something that that is,
- 15:23that is part of it. Part of it is how we're
- 15:25organizing our marketing. And I'll touch on that in a
- 15:27moment, how we're handling our collaboration.
- 15:30So who are we reaching out to? For what reason and what kind of
- 15:33value are we mutually generating those collaborations?
- 15:37There's of course, a group that's very visible, you know,
- 15:40the, the, the creative side. So that's the, the art, the
- 15:43various art that's created the merchandise and so on, so forth.
- 15:46It'll be a lot more on that as, especially as we complete the IT
- 15:49conversations that Ron has been already mentioning on the, on
- 15:52the live streams. And we also have this channel
- 15:55called Emergency Response because we know sometimes the,
- 15:59the Foo hits the fan, right? Like it's things happen in the
- 16:02community. We are organic and there are
- 16:04going to be disagreements. There are going to be dramas
- 16:06that come up. And as, as a leadership team, we
- 16:09want to make sure that we're dealing with them in a way
- 16:11that's constructive. It's not to close off
- 16:14conversations. It's not to squelch people in
- 16:17some way, but it is meant for us to remain true to our vision,
- 16:22which is good, attracts good and to be kind and, you know,
- 16:27honesty, integrity and prosperity for all.
- 16:30So, so, so we do want to kind of vector the community towards
- 16:34that. And that's the emergency
- 16:35response piece. And all of those pillars, all of
- 16:39those functions, if you will, are supported by things like
- 16:42finance, because these things need to be funded in some way,
- 16:45right? So we've got donation wallets of
- 16:47various types. There's some administration that
- 16:50happens. So when meetings happen, we need
- 16:52to take some notes. We need to make sure that people
- 16:54are actioning things and so on. The things are getting done.
- 16:56There's planning what's happening next and why, why are
- 16:59we directing our efforts in a given way, especially since this
- 17:02is volunteer, right? There's the structure, how we,
- 17:06how are we composed in such a way that we're still
- 17:10decentralized, still honoring the various gifts that we all
- 17:14bring to the table, but not tripping over each other.
- 17:18And in organizations, there's a way that they, that they, that
- 17:21they work, which is they form. So they come together, they
- 17:26storm, which is like, you know, things just people hit their
- 17:29heads against each other and so on.
- 17:31They norm, they, they kind of start to stabilize and then they
- 17:33go into performing before they dissolve.
- 17:36Ultimately, if they're, if they're temporary or they, or
- 17:38they continue performing. So, so when I, when I came into
- 17:42this, I came into this with a view of how do we get as quickly
- 17:46and efficiently as possible into the performing stage?
- 17:49And that is by setting some structure in place without being
- 17:53heavy-handed about it, right. So we have a leadership team
- 18:00across all these domains. So we have representatives
- 18:03representing all these functions and each one of us has a number
- 18:06of shadows. And this is set up so that there
- 18:09are other community members who are supporting us in such a way
- 18:12that, you know, if I'm, if I get hit by a bus tomorrow, there's
- 18:14someone who can step in and start taking the role I'm doing.
- 18:18We don't. We, by the way, we do.
- 18:20We do not want that to happen. It's, it's just a saying, of
- 18:24course, but but you know, life is life and things can happen.
- 18:28While we do have a commitment that none of us is just going to
- 18:31up and leave without, without setting a succession plan in
- 18:34place and some explanation of it, things can happen
- 18:38unexpectedly, unexpectedly. So we do have backups and that's
- 18:42important to mention. That keeps the decentralized way
- 18:44of working. Absolutely.
- 18:49We also have logistics that support us, so we have regular
- 18:52meetings, we have organized agendas.
- 18:54We have a structure to these meetings.
- 18:56We have speakers who are invited.
- 18:58Actually, we're going to have a chance to have the first one on
- 19:01on our Monday, on our Monday call, so that's great.
- 19:03We're going to have more people who have specific domain
- 19:05expertise who are going to present their ideas and talk
- 19:08about the things that they want to tackle.
- 19:10We also have a UFD leadership Discord server and that helps us
- 19:14stay organized and the leadership team, by the way,
- 19:17this is not a secret. This is not some cabal that's
- 19:20organizing in the corner of the room doing things that are, you
- 19:23know, not spoken about. We are going to post information
- 19:26about the structure on the official X account very soon and
- 19:30we just want to have this live stream and provide the context
- 19:32of what it is that we're doing. Why first?
- 19:34So that's kind of the, the sequencing of, of information.
- 19:39So that's, that's one of the leadership side of things.
- 19:41I don't know, Ron, if you wanted to say anything else about the
- 19:43the leadership side of things. No, I, I think it's great and I
- 19:48want to draw draw everyone's attention to the top of the
- 19:52graphic that I still have circled in red in that at the
- 19:55top is the UFD community. This is a flat structure.
- 20:00It's not a pyramid. It's it's I, I like your analogy
- 20:04earlier of almost like it's like organizing A beehive and
- 20:10beehives can be very efficient, right?
- 20:12They're very efficient at what they do.
- 20:15And I think having. This in place gets us to a place
- 20:19where we get to the perform stage.
- 20:22I wrote that down. You said organizations go
- 20:24through these cycles or periods phases, you know, they form,
- 20:30they storm and then they kind of norm and then they perform right
- 20:35then hopefully perform for a very long period of time.
- 20:39I'm just in, in, in, you know, and I feel like we are, we're
- 20:42somewhere between the and this. And I'll, I'll ask for your
- 20:45opinion on this when I hear that.
- 20:47I think we're somewhere right now between the, the storm and
- 20:52the norm phase. And what we want to do is get
- 20:55more and we are performing, no doubt about it, but we want to
- 20:59move more into the perform phase.
- 21:02Is that a a an accurate assessment?
- 21:05Absolutely. If I were coming into it as a
- 21:07consultant independently reviewing the organization, I
- 21:09would say that it's between the storming and and actually
- 21:12between the storming and performing and it doesn't, it
- 21:15doesn't happen all at once, right.
- 21:16These things happen in pockets. So we have, I would say that
- 21:20overall we're in the norming stage and then sometimes we dip
- 21:25into the storming pieces right as little dramas come up, as
- 21:27little things that we haven't fully yet gelled around are are
- 21:31are come up and there are some pockets in which we're we're
- 21:34starting to really perform. I think that the, the rating
- 21:36groups are a really good exemplar of that because we've
- 21:40now achieved some cohesion and, and well, it's still early days,
- 21:43right of, of this new structure. We're starting to see some
- 21:46performance. Our social dominance is really
- 21:47on the rise. The way that that in which these
- 21:50groups are organized is really starting to fire on, on all
- 21:53cylinders. It's a pleasure to see.
- 21:55And kudos to Jacques, by the way, for for for leading that.
- 21:57And all the folks were involved as well.
- 21:59Nate, Nate the great. What about this analogy?
- 22:02I've, I've shared this with a few people.
- 22:04I feel like as I'm observing and also part of what you're doing
- 22:11that that if we were carpenters, we we've been using, you know,
- 22:17the old fashioned hand saw, right, sawing the wood, that
- 22:20that this initiative kind of gives us an opportunity to move
- 22:25from a manual saw to like a modern electric saw.
- 22:30Like we can still do the same thing and still perform, but now
- 22:34we can do it in a much more effective and efficient manner.
- 22:38Is that is that accurate? Absolutely.
- 22:40There's actually something that speaks to it from an
- 22:42organizational perspective. On the corporate side, it's the
- 22:45CMI or it's like the corporate capability and maturity model.
- 22:50And this is how organizations are measured on, on different
- 22:53ends of the scale, right? Five being like completely
- 22:56running smooth as butter and everything's working great,
- 22:58continually improving and so on so forth.
- 23:00But what it starts with is, is, is a complete mess, right?
- 23:05And then the next layer is where good things are being done, but
- 23:08the good things are being done through heroics, meaning we put
- 23:11a whole bunch of effort into making it happen.
- 23:14So some examples of that and I'll touch on them in a few
- 23:17moments when I start talking about the website a little bit
- 23:19deeper. But you know, we have, we have
- 23:22community members who put tremendous amount of effort and
- 23:24time into putting together presentations that speak to what
- 23:28is our social dominance look like, how many holders have been
- 23:31holding for X amount of time and so on, so forth.
- 23:34And these things are great because, you know, we can all
- 23:37get a little bit on the, on the side of hype as in like getting
- 23:41so, so excited and, and, and, and, and talking big about UFT.
- 23:45And if I'm Joe Annan from, from retail or Jane Annan from retail
- 23:50coming in, I'm probably skeptical because a lot of
- 23:52people are saying grand things, but most of them end up going
- 23:55nowhere. But when we post numbers, those
- 23:58numbers are pretty incontrovertible.
- 24:00People can say, hey, you massage those numbers and you're putting
- 24:02them forward in a specific way. So there's, there's a little bit
- 24:05of that, but at least it's mathematics.
- 24:07It's pure and simple. These are the numbers.
- 24:09We do have this percentage of holders who've been holding over
- 24:12X amount of time. And we do have this type of
- 24:14social dominance, but these things take effort to put
- 24:16together. So we're now getting into how do
- 24:19we automate these things so that they're present for us at will,
- 24:24right? So that those community members
- 24:25who are putting so much of their effort on doing these things can
- 24:27focus their time in other areas where automations aren't yet
- 24:31possible. And it's like, how do we provide
- 24:33the most value out of the time, that limited time that we have
- 24:37while taking advantage of any automation tools that are out
- 24:40there to do some of the heavy lifting for us.
- 24:43And and that's part of this optimization process that we're
- 24:46going through. Yeah.
- 24:48So that would become more efficient, more effective.
- 24:51And there's a word that I love resourceful, you know, and get
- 24:57and get the, the, the, the, the biggest bang for our buck or
- 25:00the, the best results for our efforts.
- 25:03And I'm super excited about this.
- 25:06I think it's a great idea and in a in a strategy that I'm very
- 25:11grateful because without you exit, this would not be
- 25:15happening. So and everybody's always
- 25:18asking, right, That's a common, I'm going to come back to the
- 25:20main screen, but that's a common question that I got over and
- 25:24over over the last six to nine months, like is there a team in
- 25:29place? Is there So what you just
- 25:31explained to everybody, I think it's indisputable.
- 25:34Yes, there's a team in place and not only is it a team, but it's
- 25:40a team that's got some very, very, and I want to touch on
- 25:43this as well. Like we've got some super, super
- 25:46high quality people in our community and you exemplify
- 25:49that. I think anyone listening right
- 25:50now can sense, right, that you're smart, you're kind,
- 25:55you're, you have good intentions, right?
- 25:57And and but our whole, you know, we've got a lot of people out
- 26:00there like you who, if we can channel our efforts in the in a
- 26:06in a, in the for lack of a better way to say it in the
- 26:08right way, we can really create some big results, no doubt about
- 26:12it. I mean, like we're different and
- 26:14I'm not going to go down this rabbit hole too far exit.
- 26:16But I do think that we are different from most all, not all
- 26:21because there's some other great communities out there, but most
- 26:23all other mean point communities in that we've got these people
- 26:27like you, like Georgie, like, and I could go on.
- 26:30So no one please be offended, Jack, you know, Nate, the great,
- 26:33all kinds of wonderful people out there that are, that are
- 26:36passionate, but also mature, right?
- 26:40And, and if we can can kind of channel our energies in a, in,
- 26:45in a, in a resourceful way, we can, we, we have the potential
- 26:49and we're already doing pretty darn good.
- 26:51But we have the potential, I think to do some incredible
- 26:53things. 100% And I'll touch on something that you mentioned as
- 26:57well, which is you, you said if, if I'm going to recount it
- 27:01correctly, that this would not happen or this wouldn't be
- 27:03happening if I weren't here. I would say that it may not be
- 27:06happening on this timeline. But I have a zero doubt that we
- 27:09have equally talented and much more talented persons than me on
- 27:13our overall team as in EU of D team.
- 27:17And at some point they would have stepped up.
- 27:20I mean, it might just be a matter of the free cycles that
- 27:23people have, but by no means I feel like I'm particularly
- 27:26smarter than other other folks. I do have certain gifts and I'm
- 27:30very, very happy to share them with the community, but but I
- 27:35take pleasure in surrounding myself with people who are
- 27:37smarter than me. Yeah, that's what that's how we
- 27:39become effective ultimately is by doing so.
- 27:42Yeah, but I agree 100%, right. And we do.
- 27:45I mean we've got a person helping us with our legal, our
- 27:49IP work who it's like incredible, right.
- 27:51I mean, like, and it is true, you know, because I've always
- 27:55read that and I've never been the CEO of a company, OK, But
- 27:58I've heard CEO say, you know, you want to surround yourself
- 28:02with people who are smarter than you are.
- 28:04And I'm not saying I'm the CEO of this company, but you know,
- 28:07yeah, we do. And it's just cool the way that
- 28:10it's, it's really cool the way that it's evolving.
- 28:13I guess that's a word that I come back to often times.
- 28:16And, you know, you're a big part of the evolution.
- 28:20And I I totally respect what you say.
- 28:22You're, you're a very humble guy.
- 28:24Like this would have happened without me.
- 28:26The being is a big partner. We're all we've got these great
- 28:28people. We've got a team.
- 28:31I mean, I think honestly, you know, just as I'm sitting here
- 28:35thinking now you have me thinking like people like the
- 28:38beam, people like just like this is like a dream team.
- 28:43We don't just have a team, we have a dream team. 100% and and
- 28:49and the dream team doesn't happen on its own too.
- 28:50So this is the next the next thing I wanted to cover is just
- 28:53touch on the marketing improvement.
- 28:54So Georgie's heading this stuff up and, and big kudos to her, of
- 28:57course, and and and and P and then the team around that.
- 29:01But some of the, some of the shifts that are that are, that
- 29:03are coming our way is, is a little bit more structure there
- 29:05as well, shifting to a higher degree of action oriented
- 29:11structure. And I'm saying it that
- 29:12specifically and explicitly so that you understand what what
- 29:15this means. Everybody comes with ideas and
- 29:18and that this is this has been part of the problem is there's a
- 29:21there's a hailstorm of ideas found pounding on the head.
- 29:24Hurricane. Hurricane of ideas, yes.
- 29:27Hurricane of ideas, Absolutely. But but not always our ideas
- 29:33matched with any notion of cycles to execute on them.
- 29:36And yet people sometimes throw an idea and they feel offended.
- 29:39Well, I had a great idea, but nothing happened.
- 29:41Well, come on, Did you do anything at all other than just
- 29:44throw it over the over the over the wall?
- 29:47So, so this is, this is putting a little bit more accountability
- 29:51on our team members because we can do better.
- 29:54We are better than that actually, Honestly, each one of
- 29:57us may not have the same gifts to contribute, but we have
- 29:59something that we can contribute.
- 30:00So if you've got an idea, we're looking to harness that idea,
- 30:04but we're also looking for some notion of skin in the game.
- 30:07Not just, I threw this over the fence and not, no one did
- 30:09anything with it. No, I put it forward and I'm
- 30:14willing to be involved in seeing it come to life.
- 30:17And that's the important thing is seeing it come to life so
- 30:20that, you know, Georgie isn't just working 4 hours plus a day,
- 30:25you know, pulling her hair out because we don't want to see
- 30:27that. But the, the, the teams that we
- 30:30have are enabled and supported by our amazing community
- 30:33members, some of whom may be sitting on the sidelines going.
- 30:36I kind of want to get involved, but I'm not sure if I should
- 30:39Absolutely. You should, you know, the, the,
- 30:41the, the, the, I'll, I'll get in a little rabbit hole for one
- 30:45moment. You know, there's, there's a
- 30:46reason why I choose to stay partly anonymous in terms of my
- 30:49identity. And it's like I said, I'm not,
- 30:52I'm not holding a million plus beans.
- 30:54I'm not, I'm not even holding 1/2 a million beans because I
- 30:57bought at a high price, however, or sorry, I bought at a low
- 31:00price relative to where we're going.
- 31:03And, and this is this is it. The one of the reasons why we're
- 31:06choosing to remain anonymous at a certain level is I believe
- 31:09that we will be so wildly successful, so wildly successful
- 31:13that if I were fully doxed, I would require a security team
- 31:18around me 24/7 going anywhere, especially within the geographic
- 31:21city that I like to travel. I don't want that.
- 31:24I want to have a relative freedom, right?
- 31:28And, and, and so this is, this is, this is how strongly I
- 31:33believe in where we're going. So I'll also say that that I had
- 31:37AI had a moment in my life where I invested in something that
- 31:40went absolutely bonkers. I invested a small amount of
- 31:42money, went over $1,000,000. I didn't take it out.
- 31:45I saw it dwindle and kept hoping, Oh no, it's going to
- 31:48come back. It's going to come back.
- 31:49And guess what? It's worth less now than it was
- 31:51when I first invested in it. So I've also had that
- 31:53experience. But the, the, the, the challenge
- 31:56there was that even though I put money into it, I did nothing to
- 31:59work for that. So the reason I say it is in my
- 32:03experience, when I stumble, pardon the language, but that's
- 32:07backwards into something and haven't worked for it, it finds
- 32:12a way of disappearing. So there's just a little
- 32:14cautionary tale that if you think you're going to suddenly
- 32:17become a millionaire of UFD, but you've done nothing to make that
- 32:19happen, you may end up being disappointed.
- 32:22So any effort that you can contribute to it also ensures
- 32:25the durability of those profits. And that's that's just how I
- 32:29look at it. Yeah, yeah.
- 32:32So I want to touch on one thing that you said this earlier that
- 32:36we've got these with we're and then we can then I know we're
- 32:39we're there's more you want to cover.
- 32:41But you mentioned, Georgie, I think of people like the being
- 32:45there and you mentioned this earlier, like heroes, like right
- 32:49now what's going on, the kind of the phase of where our project
- 32:53is, is we do have certain heroes, people that step up and
- 32:57do incredible amounts of work. I mean incredible amounts of
- 33:02work. And I think, and and correct me
- 33:04if I'm wrong on this exit that the structure might help even
- 33:08alleviate, excuse me, a little bit of the pressure that's on
- 33:13these heroes that are out there, like going like way above and
- 33:17beyond because we don't want those people to get burnt out
- 33:20either. I mean, sometimes look how if
- 33:23Georgie, if you're if you're, if you're listening and I say this
- 33:26to the being and other people as well.
- 33:28Sometimes I wonder like and I get worried.
- 33:31I'm like, but I know how hard like Georgie worked on the live
- 33:34like a Unicorn charity drive, incredible amount of work and
- 33:38like I don't want her to get burnt out right?
- 33:40Because I'm, I'm, I'm observing, I'm like, I know what it's like
- 33:43to be in that position. And do you think that that the
- 33:46structure would help? How do I say it spread out some
- 33:50of the responsibilities? Absolutely.
- 33:54It's about kind of shock amortization, right.
- 33:56It's, it's we're going through these intense periods when the
- 33:59road is really, really bumpy. It's how do we set up some
- 34:02stability? How do we set up some process,
- 34:04even if that process isn't right.
- 34:06But once we have a process and it's documented, then when we
- 34:09run it through and we find mistakes, we can tune it so that
- 34:12next time it'll be better. Rather than every time we're
- 34:15throwing everything we have into something in a less than than
- 34:19organized way. And then each time we're just
- 34:21repeating that same effort. Well, we're not actually
- 34:23learning from it. We're not getting better as we
- 34:25go along and the idea is for us to get better as we go along.
- 34:29And and this actually is a perfect vector into the next
- 34:32thing I want to talk about. Ron, you have the, you have the
- 34:35slides for for a couple of show and tell pieces.
- 34:39And this is the the website 2 point O.
- 34:42OK, Yeah, let me look. Hold on one second.
- 34:46I will get that up. See if this is you want to start
- 34:49here. OK, perfect.
- 34:51And so of course we want to leave some mystery here and,
- 34:54and, and this isn't to keep it secret in, in any way, but you
- 34:58know, when you see something and then you see it again, it's just
- 35:01like, yeah, we saw this already. But but when there's a little
- 35:04bit of mystery, there's a little bit of that, you know, you're
- 35:07unboxing something new when you get that excitement of, oh wow,
- 35:10this is better than I expected. Hopefully when you see the site
- 35:13live, that's what it'll be like for you.
- 35:15And so we just wanted to show a few snippets here.
- 35:19This is going to be a central place.
- 35:21The reason why we're putting it in place, a central place to
- 35:24learn about UFD. So the snapshot that Ron is
- 35:28showing right now is the part of the onboarding page.
- 35:31So each one of the film panels and where you can scroll to the
- 35:34right. So it'll show more of it on the
- 35:37actual site, each one of the film panels, when you click on
- 35:40it, there's a pop up and it shows you more information about
- 35:42what happened during that stage of the, of, of our evolution.
- 35:46And then started with the, with the silver prelude.
- 35:49So this is where runs YouTube's channel about silver was in
- 35:54play. Then the, the cosmic joke of, of
- 35:56it's all UFD, it's all Unicorn fart dust, right?
- 36:00And the story around our, our origin and on and on and on to
- 36:04present day up into ultimately where we're going and and where
- 36:08is that we already know, right? This is this is the I don't have
- 36:13a jar of beans to shake here. I'm not going to even try to
- 36:16imitate. There we go.
- 36:19It's not a live stream unless I shake the beans or I get in
- 36:21trouble with Jack. They always get these old jazz
- 36:26and pumped. Yeah.
- 36:28And I want to, I want to point out as well.
- 36:30So this film strip will actually people will be able to scroll
- 36:34through it, it'll actually move across the screen.
- 36:36Am I correct on that? Yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 36:39So it'll reveal more as you as as we go and we can always add
- 36:42new panels to it because we're going to have other events
- 36:44that'll be pivotal of the other milestones on, on the journey
- 36:47that we're on. I like that.
- 36:49We can, we'll like. We'll be adding to the story.
- 36:52The film will expand. Who knows, we may have 303030
- 36:57clips on the on the film by the end, right?
- 37:00Exactly, exactly. So it'll grow with us.
- 37:04So, so this is a place to learn about UFD.
- 37:06It's also a place through which to buy.
- 37:08So we'll have links to all the different exchanges and, and of
- 37:11course we'll be showing our sponsor Moon Pay as one of the
- 37:14first ones. There'll be a little bit of a
- 37:17blurb about Ledger as well, because that's important.
- 37:21Exactly so. So here we have the, the
- 37:23different things that are listed.
- 37:25We're going to have also learning about the, you know,
- 37:31the, the, the, the duster lore and some super fun stuff in, in
- 37:35the, in the space around it too. I'm not going to, I'm not going
- 37:37to go into detail, but you can expect some really cool stuff
- 37:40about becoming a duster. Also finding out about who's
- 37:45being recognized and for what, what kind of events are coming
- 37:48up for us, a bit more transparency around the
- 37:52different things that we're doing.
- 37:53And it's not that we're, we don't have transparency because
- 37:55Ron, you talk about these things in live streams.
- 37:56There are various spaces that are being held.
- 37:59But for, you know, the, the, the, the base doster who put
- 38:03some money in and just wants to check in periodically to see
- 38:06what's going on. They have to dig through a lot
- 38:08of content to get the the skinny on, on what's happening.
- 38:12And, and the website and, and the Discord server are meant to
- 38:15provide that at a glance view of here are some of the key things
- 38:19that are happening today. Here's some of the the cool
- 38:21stuff that's coming up for us. And by the way, yeah, we've also
- 38:23done some really cool things in the past.
- 38:25And if you want a synopsis of what that looks like, there's a
- 38:27place where you can learn about it.
- 38:31Part of the website is also going to be focusing on our
- 38:33artwork and that's the next slide there.
- 38:35And that's the NFTS, right? So we want to we want to
- 38:38acknowledge the artists who are behind these things.
- 38:40And by the way, this isn't brute force built into the website.
- 38:45This is actually being pulled directly and live from Magic
- 38:50Eden. So, so this is going out to
- 38:52Magic Eden. It's grabbing out our
- 38:54collections, it's grabbing the information of the artists from
- 38:57the X pages they have listed there and it's presenting,
- 39:01presenting it to you live. So as different NFDS are sold
- 39:04and and, and, and, and the information changes, the
- 39:08pictures that you'll see on the bottom will also change the
- 39:11prices that you'll see when if you were to scroll through the
- 39:14page, because it'll have the name of the NFT and the price.
- 39:16It'll only show the 1st 15, by the way, that's how it's set up
- 39:18right now. But there'll be a link to where
- 39:20you can get more. And it won't necessarily just be
- 39:23these two collections of these two artists.
- 39:25There are more, but this is the starting point.
- 39:27We want to start featuring how incredibly talented our
- 39:31community is and what some of the artistic gifts that we have
- 39:36looked like, right? So this is it, There'll be a way
- 39:39also for us to show and represent the cool creations
- 39:43that other Dusters have done because we have some incredible
- 39:47community members who are putting together some awesome
- 39:49videos. I want to do A quick shout out
- 39:52to Royale and the Unicorn Fartman.
- 39:56The mask stays on. That's awesome.
- 39:59Things like that, things that are quickly becoming part of the
- 40:02UFD lower. It's just we wanna showcase them
- 40:05somewhere and the site is gonna be a part of that.
- 40:09Timeline wise, it's launching within approximately 2 weeks.
- 40:13If we can make it happen quicker, we will absolutely make
- 40:17it happen quicker. Already.
- 40:20Are you of the official website? I've made a tiny modification to
- 40:23it yesterday, just to point to the exchanges a little bit more
- 40:27easily. And this is an advance to a
- 40:29crypto conference that's happening in the UK in which we
- 40:33will be having some posters and a mural and some other cool
- 40:35things are happening there. I think George already touched
- 40:37on it in her space yesterday, but when folks go to the
- 40:42official site, we already want them to be able to access the
- 40:44exchanges more easily than just buy UFD and go to Moon Shot as
- 40:49as it was leading them to. So, so these tweaks are going in
- 40:52and by the way, even though I'm putting in, you know, about 8
- 40:56hours a day, I'm making this happen.
- 40:58There are other folks in the community on a shout, shout out
- 41:00to Mason, Mason Duster and a couple of other folks who are
- 41:04involved in the background who are putting together some
- 41:07images, who are putting together some of the narrative and so on,
- 41:09so forth. And just the overall leadership
- 41:11team too. You guys have been doing such a
- 41:13great job in supporting me with this and providing feedback and
- 41:16so on. Really cool stuff.
- 41:19Then the next thing I want to talk to mention about.
- 41:21Hold on. Let me, let me, I, I did exit.
- 41:24I apologize. I did a poor job of introducing
- 41:27that last segment. I do want to make it clear to
- 41:29everyone that what exit was just talking about is a brand new
- 41:33website and and I think it's going to be the best, the best
- 41:38website in the whole mean point sector.
- 41:40So you've made some minor modifications for the existing
- 41:44website, but this is going to be a whole new website.
- 41:47So thank you again for that. My, my pleasure 100% it, it
- 41:52feels like there's a little bit of pressure now, so better live
- 41:54up to it, though. No, no, no, I'm, I'm really
- 41:57excited. It's it's not like I would say
- 42:00my, my, my right hand, like my preferred hand working with
- 42:03websites, but when I need some spare cash, I do, I do websites
- 42:06and, and I enjoy it. So happy to turn this effort on
- 42:10UFD. The official discord for the
- 42:14community as well is coming soon.
- 42:16And and just a tiny little anecdote.
- 42:19When when I started putting together the ideas for the new
- 42:24UFD website 2.0 I had, I didn't want to just throw out one idea
- 42:29and say this is the way we're going.
- 42:31I wanted to present a couple of different pictures of what we
- 42:34could have to the leadership team and have them interact with
- 42:39the static screenshots, if you will, static markups and get a
- 42:45sense of different look and feel that we could have for them.
- 42:47So I presented 3 different mock ups and we used the the UFD
- 42:50leadership Discord to actually have have each of the members
- 42:55look at three different options and then vote on it.
- 42:57So imagine in the future having different community raised
- 43:02thoughts, ideas presented on a Discord server where you can go
- 43:06and see what people thought of and you have a voice in saying,
- 43:10which things are we going to prioritize just by voting on it?
- 43:13So this is really cool because this, this will be how we will
- 43:17be harnessing our distributed ideas and power towards a common
- 43:22good. And you will have a direct
- 43:23voice. You'll be able to see
- 43:25represented and it'll be codified.
- 43:28It's not like someone changed your, your, your vote or it's
- 43:31not like a bot came in and voted 100 times.
- 43:33That's not going to be possible. One person, one vote.
- 43:36That's it. And not only one person want to
- 43:38vote. If if, if you are a duster,
- 43:40you'll be known as a duster because we will have a bot that
- 43:43is gating access to the Duster community channel.
- 43:47So you'll actually approve a check against your wallet.
- 43:52This is a tool that's used by by other large cryptos like Doge
- 43:57and others. So these are tested tools.
- 44:00They're not some Gray market thing that's going to stay,
- 44:02steal your money, only going to check that you're actually
- 44:05holding some beans, certain number of beans.
- 44:07You're considered a duster. OK, now you have a voice in the
- 44:11Europe community. You're not some, you're not some
- 44:13interloper coming in, getting 50 of your friends to vote on some
- 44:18stupid idea that's going to take us nowhere, right?
- 44:20This is actually people who have skin in the game, who want the
- 44:23value of their beans to grow, who are saying what we're doing
- 44:26next. Community calendar, key
- 44:30activities, donation wallet transparency, so that you'll be
- 44:33able to see what are the things that we're allocating money to.
- 44:36If you've given some money to the donation wallet, you'll
- 44:38actually be able to have all of that information possibly in the
- 44:41future. Also, the ability to both put
- 44:44polls together to suggest what we spend money on and for people
- 44:50to vote on that. So if you could contribute to
- 44:52that, well, it has some say in how the money is being
- 44:54allocated. The whole idea overall, as I
- 44:57mentioned before, of having a backlog of, of false ideas that
- 45:00people can vote on and much more.
- 45:02So there's some exciting work happening around partnerships
- 45:05around the Narwhal program and, and, and, and like I said, a lot
- 45:09more than than what I've talked about.
- 45:11So I'll be kind of wrapping up here.
- 45:13But I want to also to do a few shout outs, which are by no
- 45:16means all exclusive because there are so many incredible
- 45:18community members and you get you guys really blow me away
- 45:22with your passion. But specifically, I want to
- 45:24acknowledge a few folks here, Magic Mike, Jack, Georgie
- 45:28Carney, UFD backer, you, you freaking crack me up, man.
- 45:33Elizabeth the Bean, the Scott, Nate the Great, Vincent, and of
- 45:38course, Ron and Susie. You guys kind of take the OR the
- 45:42cream of the crop and all of you, and I mean community at
- 45:45large, not just the individuals, as I mentioned, but you guys
- 45:48inspire me to be a better person.
- 45:50You inspire me to do more for the community.
- 45:53Thank you. And I am your servant, humble
- 45:56servant of the way of the Unicorn and, and just a call to
- 45:58action. All of this, all of the, the
- 46:01stuff that I'm doing is just an example that we all, even
- 46:06someone like a small little Ant like me can step up.
- 46:09We can all contribute. We can all be leaders.
- 46:11All it takes is initiative and passion.
- 46:14So don't be afraid to share the skills that you have.
- 46:18We went together. Remember that I work for you,
- 46:20you work for me, and we all work for U of D.
- 46:24So horns up dusters. I could not have said it better,
- 46:30so I'm going to try to keep it short here.
- 46:32But as you were talking what I envisioned, and I've said this
- 46:35before, like we're not a hype coin, right?
- 46:38Hype is great, excitement is great, don't get me wrong, but
- 46:41we're not a, we're not a, we're not a project built purely on
- 46:45hype, right? We're built on energy.
- 46:48And what you were, what you were saying to the community out
- 46:50there is everybody matters. And when I, if I think of our
- 46:53community, which I do like a like an energy force that's
- 46:57evolving and, you know, getting bigger and, and, and always
- 47:01changing, like every little bit of energy that anybody puts in,
- 47:06you know, contributes to that overall energy force in the
- 47:09project that we're building together.
- 47:14And I want to say thank you exit.
- 47:17Well, thank you Ron, it's been a pleasure to be here and thanks
- 47:19to the whole community. Like I said, you guys are truly
- 47:21an inspiration. And Ron, you doing this everyday
- 47:25live streaming like you committed to and I you know, I
- 47:28was doing the website. So I so I recalled again the
- 47:31commitment letter that you wrote like in December 24.
- 47:34This is supposed to be a year ago now.
- 47:36No, you've, you've been on it, you've been doing it.
- 47:39It's, it's one of those very, very rare examples in the space
- 47:44where someone actually does what they say and, and, and walks,
- 47:47walks the talk. So my congratulations to you and
- 47:50huge thanks to you because you, you created this, you put this
- 47:53in play and here we are. I can't wait to see where we are
- 47:57a year from now. I mean, it's going to be
- 47:58absolutely incredible. Yeah, it's going to be a fun
- 48:01ride. Thank you Exit.
- 48:03And I'm here because of the community, right?
- 48:06People like you, people like everyone out there.
- 48:08So thank you to everyone who joined us today.
- 48:11Exit, I believe, gave us a very clear description and view of
- 48:17what's going on in terms of initiatives within the
- 48:21community. Anyone who question whether, you
- 48:24know, we have a team that's working on things.
- 48:26I think we have more than a team.
- 48:27We have a dream team and it's going to be super fun to see
- 48:31where it leads. Exit, Thank you again.
- 48:34And we'll be, I'm sure, I'm sure we're going to have calls to
- 48:37have you back on again soon. We've got over 400 people on
- 48:40with us live right now. Awesome.
- 48:43Thank you so much. All right, have a great day.
- 48:46Bye bye everybody. Horns up.
