Inside the Leadership Mind: How $UFD Is Leveling Up for the Long Run 🚀 · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

0:39
We have a special show today, a special guest and a big update
0:44
about some major developments within the Unicorn Park Dust
0:48
project. We're joined today by Exit the
0:50
Matrix. He's one of our key community
0:52
members, has an impressive background.
0:55
He's going to share from us, some share with us some things
0:58
that he's been working on that are going to have a major impact
1:02
on the UFD project. And it's not just him, it's the
1:05
whole community continuing to step up but exit.
1:09
I want to say welcome to the basement, welcome to Duster
1:12
Club. How are you doing today?
1:14
Hi Ron, doing really well. Thanks so much for having me.
1:18
What a pleasure to be here. I've been a long time viewer so
1:20
it feels a bit surreal to actually be part of the basement
1:23
show. Thank you.
1:25
Yeah, well, you're here, you're live, you're in the basement and
1:28
we've got a lot of big things going on in the project.
1:31
And I know you've been very involved in making that happen,
1:35
but your background's impressive.
1:37
Your story about coming into UFD is interesting.
1:39
Will you share a little bit just so the, the viewers, the dusters
1:43
out there get a feel kind of for who you are and the credentials
1:46
that you bring to, to be able to, to, to help us implement
1:50
some, some really positive changes in the project?
1:54
Sure, absolutely. And I'm, I'll say I'm a humble
1:56
servant of the Unicorn. So before, before any of the
1:59
credentials that's important to get out of the way because you
2:02
know, it doesn't matter who we are, I think that all of us are
2:04
here in service of a common division and that's really what
2:07
unites us. Absolutely.
2:10
My a little bit about me, I have a corporate background in
2:13
leading large components of $100 million plus projects both in
2:18
the private sector and for governments leadership at
2:21
executive level. So overseeing big teams, 100
2:24
plus people of various backgrounds.
2:28
My specialty really has been in large scale business
2:30
transformation projects that are enabled by technology.
2:33
So things where large organizations are looking to
2:37
change the way that they're doing things and they're looking
2:39
for how technology can support them.
2:42
So things like organizational design, process optimization,
2:45
simplification, strategy, of course, first and foremost
2:49
through all those things, marketing and sales as well.
2:55
I've done a lot of work with AI, with web design.
2:58
One of my specialties on on several of the projects I've
3:00
been on was security and privacy.
3:03
I think those things apply. But you know, if all of this
3:05
sounds kind of like here's a corporate guy type of pyramid
3:08
stuff, that's not, that's not, that's not really it.
3:10
That's not, it may seem that way, right, Especially coming
3:14
from a corporate background. But one of the methodologies
3:16
that I run across in my in my professional journeys was
3:20
something called the MG Taylor methodology, which looks at
3:23
organizations from a flat perspective.
3:25
It look at looks at them like a hive where various different
3:29
bees or ants are performing their roles.
3:32
But it happens in a distributed way.
3:34
And I think that this really lines up particularly well with
3:37
the decentralized model of crypto and the UFD community.
3:43
Yeah. You said something earlier that
3:46
really struck A chord with me, and I'll see if you can remember
3:49
exactly how you said it. I couldn't write it down fast
3:51
enough, but you said something about large, was it large scale
3:56
business transformations? Was that what you said?
3:59
Because that? Yeah.
4:00
Yeah, because when I heard that, I thought and, and what you're
4:04
saying also, right, about flat organizations and a hive, like
4:07
sometimes I talk about UFD being like a, I don't know if it's a
4:11
matrix or like a network where we're all, we're all individual
4:15
nodes, but we're all interconnected.
4:17
And but when you said that large scale business transformation,
4:22
that struck A chord with me because I think it's important
4:24
for us to remember with UFD we are a like a large organization,
4:29
right? All the dusters out there, if
4:31
we, if we thought of ourselves, you know like a quote UN quote
4:34
company, we've got hundreds, we've got thousands of employees
4:39
out there. Absolutely.
4:41
And so to translate it, the corporate terms, the, the types
4:45
of things I worked with, I had directly about 30,000 clients.
4:50
And then beyond that, the, the, the customers, the citizens that
4:53
were benefiting from these projects, we're in the 10s of
4:57
millions. So that was the scale at which
4:59
at which I worked, which is, which is why these things in
5:02
terms of the crypto to me, we're at a starting point.
5:04
We're absolutely get going to get into millions.
5:06
We're going to talk about that later because I absolutely have
5:08
a vision and we're going to Valhalla.
5:11
But you know, we, we, we start this, this is, this is a
5:15
journey. And for me, life really is a
5:16
journey and the things that happen.
5:19
I'm not looking for an outcome. I'm looking for what are the
5:20
milestones that I'm going to see?
5:22
What are the signposts I'm going to see along this journey rather
5:24
than I'm, I'm shooting for some destination where we're at
5:26
billions or whatever. No, that's that's not it.
5:30
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And and that's, you know, I
5:33
think as we grow and as the community evolves, having some
5:37
structure in place while remaining decentralized, right.
5:41
And you talked about that, the other thing you said that really
5:44
piqued my interest because I've never thought about it that way,
5:47
But like a, like a, like a giant beehive or a giant Ant colony,
5:52
right? That, that we have all these
5:55
people out there and how can we together?
5:58
Because we all do want good outcomes.
6:00
We all do want to be as effective as possible.
6:03
How do we organize things while remaining flat, while remaining
6:07
decentralized where we can all work effectively, more
6:11
effectively towards our common goal?
6:13
Is that am I I'm on track here or am I off track?
6:17
You're totally on track. I mean, this really was
6:19
something that you created, and you swim in this pool so well,
6:23
So I feel like I'm the one who's catching up to it.
6:26
But yeah, absolutely. I think that looking at
6:28
methodologies that harness our collective power, not in a way
6:32
where, you know, you're kind of the boss or, or, or a CEO like
6:36
you've been saying, you don't feel yourself as CEO of a
6:39
company, you feel yourself as a major contributor to it.
6:43
You feel yourself as someone with helping to shape it.
6:46
But but it's all our collective power that makes it work.
6:50
It's how do we harness that power, right?
6:53
Yeah, absolutely. And how do we do it in a way
6:56
where people don't feel controlled because none of us
6:59
want to feel controlled and I don't, right, That's true,
7:02
right. Like I don't have, I don't
7:03
really have any way to control anything within UFDI.
7:08
Can, I guess lead by example to the extent that I'm considered a
7:13
leader, but that's something that I have to earn every day.
7:17
And everybody else out there, everybody, right, You, me, the
7:22
person who somewhere in the world, right, because we're
7:25
distributed all over the world that's watching, really has as
7:28
much of an ability to contribute as anybody else in the
7:32
community. 100% yeah. Yeah.
7:36
You want to take a look at one of the slides, or you want to.
7:39
Just just a tiny, tiny touch more maybe about the story of
7:42
how I got into USD, right? Because there's a, there's a bit
7:45
of a gap here from this, this corporate guy and then UFD.
7:48
So I left the corporate world a number of years ago and I
7:51
decided to stop trading time for money.
7:53
And it's not like I was a millionaire or anything like
7:55
that. It's not like I'm particularly
7:56
wealthy. I just chose to live in
7:58
geographies where cost of living is really low.
8:02
So I mean, I take on certain small gigs occasionally when I
8:04
need a cash influx, but I, I choose to live within my means
8:09
and, and, and, and do it in a way where the things that bring
8:12
me joy are the things that I focus my, my time on.
8:16
Wow, well I I need to say something.
8:19
Sorry to interrupt you but I'm the exact same way.
8:24
I've always, my grandpa and I used to show this quite a bit.
8:28
This was his clock. He died when he was 95.
8:30
And I used to say it's just a matter of time.
8:33
That's why I wrote UFD. But this was actually my grandpa
8:36
Hell's clock. And when I was a little boy, he
8:38
told me always save $0.10 from every dollar that you make,
8:43
right? Basically live below your means
8:46
and you'll be and you'll have plenty of money for the rest of
8:48
your life and you'll have some some independence and some
8:52
freedom. And that's what, you know, I
8:55
don't want to go too far down this rabbit hole, but for
8:57
anybody out there who's living beyond their means, trust me,
9:01
you can be just as happy, if not even more peaceful and happier
9:06
living just a little bit below your means because you get a lot
9:10
of freedom. And, and it's amazing that you
9:13
realize that you don't need brand new everything all the
9:16
time to be happy. There's a lot of a lot of
9:20
opportunity for that just in everyday life. 100% I'm a big
9:24
believer in the mighty Honda way of life, which is doesn't bring
9:26
you joy, right? And travelling a fair bit.
9:29
I trimmed down to just the things that are a better, better
9:33
quality, but they don't need to be the best of the best.
9:35
They just need to last me for a period of time because I don't
9:37
want to drag massive suitcases and things with me, right?
9:40
It's it's kind of my wife and I chose this life for a reason.
9:46
Awesome. I love it.
9:46
I love it. Thanks and actually brings me
9:49
back to, to, to what I want to talk about next is how I got
9:51
into UFD. And you may have already seen
9:54
this story I posted on my profile a couple weeks ago.
9:57
So you know, if it's boring or repetitive, I apologize.
10:00
I'll be fairly quick with it. But I got involved with UFD back
10:03
at the tail end of December 24 for a couple of weeks already.
10:10
My wife had been listening to your live streams and talking
10:13
about this meteor is rising and you're missing out, blah, blah.
10:16
I was, I was a DJ in the trenches doing my doing my
10:19
leverage plays and losing my money and wondering why the
10:22
casino was just wasn't going my way.
10:23
Like this was supposed to be a get get rich quick scheme.
10:25
So what, you know, what gives? And, and, and finally by the end
10:31
of December, I've seen enough where I'm going.
10:33
There's something to this UFD thing.
10:35
So I ended up buying a bunch of beans and then I started bull
10:39
posting and I kept increasing my position.
10:41
Now this was at about 15 X the price of today's beans, so I'm
10:46
by no means on our wall in terms of the number of beans I hold,
10:49
even though I put in a fair amount of money into it.
10:52
And then I stepped away for a period of time just to focus.
10:54
I had some health issues and some other things were going on.
10:57
And then a few months ago I came back and started bull posting
11:00
with a vengeance. Like really going hardcore and I
11:03
feel the community members liked what I had to say on the
11:06
timeline and I was nominated for Duster of the Day.
11:08
So I think it was Magic Mike and Jack who who would be up
11:12
probably for it. And thank you, by the way, for
11:15
the distinction. That really meant a lot to me.
11:17
It's something that I continue to feel like how I'm living up
11:20
to. I, I felt really humbled by
11:24
that. And then, and then after that,
11:26
Jack tapped me on the shoulder to get me more involved on a
11:29
call with you actually. And I was a little bit reticent,
11:32
but I got to say I didn't want to interfere with the organic
11:34
nature and growth of UFD. You know, coming from a
11:37
corporate background with some strong ideas, I felt like I
11:39
didn't want to impose my will in any way.
11:41
So I, I was kind of navigating it in a soft way.
11:45
But then I saw that, yes, there are a number of gaps that I,
11:47
that I do see. And then how do I fill them in
11:51
the best way possible? So enough about me.
11:55
I mean, the, the, I'm sure the viewers and listeners are here
11:57
to learn a bit more about what we're up to.
12:00
And, and all of this is, by the way, that I'm gonna talk about
12:03
part of the methodology that you've been, you've been
12:06
evangelizing, if I can use that word, run, which is the buy hold
12:10
build. I bought the UFD beans.
12:13
I'm holding them along the side of the community And together
12:16
we're building both our positions, meaning we're
12:18
increasing our beans on the dips.
12:20
And and not only because some of them like, like, you know, the
12:23
OG Scott buys every day until we get to old plan high, but but
12:28
together we also build the community for the better.
12:32
And all the work that I'm about to talk about is things that I'm
12:36
either involved in hands on or leading in some way.
12:40
But also I want to mention that there are very talented
12:42
community members who are participating as well.
12:45
So there's a lot of work happening in the background on
12:47
top of what I'm going to talk about.
12:49
This is not the sum total of what we're doing by any means.
12:52
Right. Yeah, absolutely.
12:55
And we're going to talk about the kind of some, some overall
12:58
structure strategies. I, I guess it's a good way to
13:03
say it that we're going to implement.
13:04
We're going to talk about some marketing improvements.
13:07
We're going to give a sneak peek and some explanation about a new
13:10
website that's being developed. And we're going to talk about
13:14
the community Discord server. We got a lot to talk about.
13:16
You're doing a lot and for everybody out there before in
13:20
case I forget at the end, thank you so much exit the matrix
13:25
because you are doing a lot and you do bring a tremendous amount
13:30
of very kind of high quality insight and talent and you know,
13:35
dedication to the project. So I want to make sure I get
13:38
that in there before I before I forget at the end.
13:41
You may be blessed. Thank you.
13:43
I really appreciate that. Yeah, would you want to take a
13:46
look at the at some of the structure ideas?
13:49
Absolutely. Let's let's flash that up.
13:51
Let's see if I can pull that up on the screen and that should be
13:55
on the screen right now. Right on.
13:57
So take it away. The the first thing I want to
14:00
talk about is the org structure because that's one of the big
14:02
accomplishments that we have over the last couple of weeks.
14:05
We now have a leadership team that's up across all the
14:08
domains. So you can see here on the
14:10
picture, we've got different pillars and specifically this is
14:13
organized not as a pyramid, right?
14:15
U of D community is actually at the top because we have a
14:18
servant style of leadership, meaning that we are in the
14:21
service of the community and all the things that we're doing is
14:24
to make things better for the community.
14:27
You know, I mentioned some, something like this before when
14:29
I, when I got duster of the day, and this isn't original, by the
14:31
way, it was one of one of you, one of one of the dusters that
14:33
posted this before. So I adopted it as a saying, I
14:36
work for you, you work for me. We all work for UFD.
14:41
And, and this is all, all this work is going to increase the
14:44
value of UFD. And ultimately when the value
14:48
catches up, the price, we will melt faces.
14:50
And I don't mean it any, any facetious way.
14:52
This is not kind of a, a joke. This is really what I see
14:55
happening, you know, and then starting, I'll start on the left
14:58
because that's the, that's something that you would have
15:00
seen quite a bit of work done on recently.
15:03
And this is Jack heading up the work around engagement and
15:05
specifically rating. So we have the four rating what
15:10
rating related without three specific rating groups and one
15:13
that offers support by being a general outlet for conversation.
15:17
And then these things are supported by, by leads and
15:20
moderators and, and, and so that's something that that is,
15:23
that is part of it. Part of it is how we're
15:25
organizing our marketing. And I'll touch on that in a
15:27
moment, how we're handling our collaboration.
15:30
So who are we reaching out to? For what reason and what kind of
15:33
value are we mutually generating those collaborations?
15:37
There's of course, a group that's very visible, you know,
15:40
the, the, the creative side. So that's the, the art, the
15:43
various art that's created the merchandise and so on, so forth.
15:46
It'll be a lot more on that as, especially as we complete the IT
15:49
conversations that Ron has been already mentioning on the, on
15:52
the live streams. And we also have this channel
15:55
called Emergency Response because we know sometimes the,
15:59
the Foo hits the fan, right? Like it's things happen in the
16:02
community. We are organic and there are
16:04
going to be disagreements. There are going to be dramas
16:06
that come up. And as, as a leadership team, we
16:09
want to make sure that we're dealing with them in a way
16:11
that's constructive. It's not to close off
16:14
conversations. It's not to squelch people in
16:17
some way, but it is meant for us to remain true to our vision,
16:22
which is good, attracts good and to be kind and, you know,
16:27
honesty, integrity and prosperity for all.
16:30
So, so, so we do want to kind of vector the community towards
16:34
that. And that's the emergency
16:35
response piece. And all of those pillars, all of
16:39
those functions, if you will, are supported by things like
16:42
finance, because these things need to be funded in some way,
16:45
right? So we've got donation wallets of
16:47
various types. There's some administration that
16:50
happens. So when meetings happen, we need
16:52
to take some notes. We need to make sure that people
16:54
are actioning things and so on. The things are getting done.
16:56
There's planning what's happening next and why, why are
16:59
we directing our efforts in a given way, especially since this
17:02
is volunteer, right? There's the structure, how we,
17:06
how are we composed in such a way that we're still
17:10
decentralized, still honoring the various gifts that we all
17:14
bring to the table, but not tripping over each other.
17:18
And in organizations, there's a way that they, that they, that
17:21
they work, which is they form. So they come together, they
17:26
storm, which is like, you know, things just people hit their
17:29
heads against each other and so on.
17:31
They norm, they, they kind of start to stabilize and then they
17:33
go into performing before they dissolve.
17:36
Ultimately, if they're, if they're temporary or they, or
17:38
they continue performing. So, so when I, when I came into
17:42
this, I came into this with a view of how do we get as quickly
17:46
and efficiently as possible into the performing stage?
17:49
And that is by setting some structure in place without being
17:53
heavy-handed about it, right. So we have a leadership team
18:00
across all these domains. So we have representatives
18:03
representing all these functions and each one of us has a number
18:06
of shadows. And this is set up so that there
18:09
are other community members who are supporting us in such a way
18:12
that, you know, if I'm, if I get hit by a bus tomorrow, there's
18:14
someone who can step in and start taking the role I'm doing.
18:18
We don't. We, by the way, we do.
18:20
We do not want that to happen. It's, it's just a saying, of
18:24
course, but but you know, life is life and things can happen.
18:28
While we do have a commitment that none of us is just going to
18:31
up and leave without, without setting a succession plan in
18:34
place and some explanation of it, things can happen
18:38
unexpectedly, unexpectedly. So we do have backups and that's
18:42
important to mention. That keeps the decentralized way
18:44
of working. Absolutely.
18:49
We also have logistics that support us, so we have regular
18:52
meetings, we have organized agendas.
18:54
We have a structure to these meetings.
18:56
We have speakers who are invited.
18:58
Actually, we're going to have a chance to have the first one on
19:01
on our Monday, on our Monday call, so that's great.
19:03
We're going to have more people who have specific domain
19:05
expertise who are going to present their ideas and talk
19:08
about the things that they want to tackle.
19:10
We also have a UFD leadership Discord server and that helps us
19:14
stay organized and the leadership team, by the way,
19:17
this is not a secret. This is not some cabal that's
19:20
organizing in the corner of the room doing things that are, you
19:23
know, not spoken about. We are going to post information
19:26
about the structure on the official X account very soon and
19:30
we just want to have this live stream and provide the context
19:32
of what it is that we're doing. Why first?
19:34
So that's kind of the, the sequencing of, of information.
19:39
So that's, that's one of the leadership side of things.
19:41
I don't know, Ron, if you wanted to say anything else about the
19:43
the leadership side of things. No, I, I think it's great and I
19:48
want to draw draw everyone's attention to the top of the
19:52
graphic that I still have circled in red in that at the
19:55
top is the UFD community. This is a flat structure.
20:00
It's not a pyramid. It's it's I, I like your analogy
20:04
earlier of almost like it's like organizing A beehive and
20:10
beehives can be very efficient, right?
20:12
They're very efficient at what they do.
20:15
And I think having. This in place gets us to a place
20:19
where we get to the perform stage.
20:22
I wrote that down. You said organizations go
20:24
through these cycles or periods phases, you know, they form,
20:30
they storm and then they kind of norm and then they perform right
20:35
then hopefully perform for a very long period of time.
20:39
I'm just in, in, in, you know, and I feel like we are, we're
20:42
somewhere between the and this. And I'll, I'll ask for your
20:45
opinion on this when I hear that.
20:47
I think we're somewhere right now between the, the storm and
20:52
the norm phase. And what we want to do is get
20:55
more and we are performing, no doubt about it, but we want to
20:59
move more into the perform phase.
21:02
Is that a a an accurate assessment?
21:05
Absolutely. If I were coming into it as a
21:07
consultant independently reviewing the organization, I
21:09
would say that it's between the storming and and actually
21:12
between the storming and performing and it doesn't, it
21:15
doesn't happen all at once, right.
21:16
These things happen in pockets. So we have, I would say that
21:20
overall we're in the norming stage and then sometimes we dip
21:25
into the storming pieces right as little dramas come up, as
21:27
little things that we haven't fully yet gelled around are are
21:31
are come up and there are some pockets in which we're we're
21:34
starting to really perform. I think that the, the rating
21:36
groups are a really good exemplar of that because we've
21:40
now achieved some cohesion and, and well, it's still early days,
21:43
right of, of this new structure. We're starting to see some
21:46
performance. Our social dominance is really
21:47
on the rise. The way that that in which these
21:50
groups are organized is really starting to fire on, on all
21:53
cylinders. It's a pleasure to see.
21:55
And kudos to Jacques, by the way, for for for leading that.
21:57
And all the folks were involved as well.
21:59
Nate, Nate the great. What about this analogy?
22:02
I've, I've shared this with a few people.
22:04
I feel like as I'm observing and also part of what you're doing
22:11
that that if we were carpenters, we we've been using, you know,
22:17
the old fashioned hand saw, right, sawing the wood, that
22:20
that this initiative kind of gives us an opportunity to move
22:25
from a manual saw to like a modern electric saw.
22:30
Like we can still do the same thing and still perform, but now
22:34
we can do it in a much more effective and efficient manner.
22:38
Is that is that accurate? Absolutely.
22:40
There's actually something that speaks to it from an
22:42
organizational perspective. On the corporate side, it's the
22:45
CMI or it's like the corporate capability and maturity model.
22:50
And this is how organizations are measured on, on different
22:53
ends of the scale, right? Five being like completely
22:56
running smooth as butter and everything's working great,
22:58
continually improving and so on so forth.
23:00
But what it starts with is, is, is a complete mess, right?
23:05
And then the next layer is where good things are being done, but
23:08
the good things are being done through heroics, meaning we put
23:11
a whole bunch of effort into making it happen.
23:14
So some examples of that and I'll touch on them in a few
23:17
moments when I start talking about the website a little bit
23:19
deeper. But you know, we have, we have
23:22
community members who put tremendous amount of effort and
23:24
time into putting together presentations that speak to what
23:28
is our social dominance look like, how many holders have been
23:31
holding for X amount of time and so on, so forth.
23:34
And these things are great because, you know, we can all
23:37
get a little bit on the, on the side of hype as in like getting
23:41
so, so excited and, and, and, and, and talking big about UFT.
23:45
And if I'm Joe Annan from, from retail or Jane Annan from retail
23:50
coming in, I'm probably skeptical because a lot of
23:52
people are saying grand things, but most of them end up going
23:55
nowhere. But when we post numbers, those
23:58
numbers are pretty incontrovertible.
24:00
People can say, hey, you massage those numbers and you're putting
24:02
them forward in a specific way. So there's, there's a little bit
24:05
of that, but at least it's mathematics.
24:07
It's pure and simple. These are the numbers.
24:09
We do have this percentage of holders who've been holding over
24:12
X amount of time. And we do have this type of
24:14
social dominance, but these things take effort to put
24:16
together. So we're now getting into how do
24:19
we automate these things so that they're present for us at will,
24:24
right? So that those community members
24:25
who are putting so much of their effort on doing these things can
24:27
focus their time in other areas where automations aren't yet
24:31
possible. And it's like, how do we provide
24:33
the most value out of the time, that limited time that we have
24:37
while taking advantage of any automation tools that are out
24:40
there to do some of the heavy lifting for us.
24:43
And and that's part of this optimization process that we're
24:46
going through. Yeah.
24:48
So that would become more efficient, more effective.
24:51
And there's a word that I love resourceful, you know, and get
24:57
and get the, the, the, the, the biggest bang for our buck or
25:00
the, the best results for our efforts.
25:03
And I'm super excited about this.
25:06
I think it's a great idea and in a in a strategy that I'm very
25:11
grateful because without you exit, this would not be
25:15
happening. So and everybody's always
25:18
asking, right, That's a common, I'm going to come back to the
25:20
main screen, but that's a common question that I got over and
25:24
over over the last six to nine months, like is there a team in
25:29
place? Is there So what you just
25:31
explained to everybody, I think it's indisputable.
25:34
Yes, there's a team in place and not only is it a team, but it's
25:40
a team that's got some very, very, and I want to touch on
25:43
this as well. Like we've got some super, super
25:46
high quality people in our community and you exemplify
25:49
that. I think anyone listening right
25:50
now can sense, right, that you're smart, you're kind,
25:55
you're, you have good intentions, right?
25:57
And and but our whole, you know, we've got a lot of people out
26:00
there like you who, if we can channel our efforts in the in a
26:06
in a, in the for lack of a better way to say it in the
26:08
right way, we can really create some big results, no doubt about
26:12
it. I mean, like we're different and
26:14
I'm not going to go down this rabbit hole too far exit.
26:16
But I do think that we are different from most all, not all
26:21
because there's some other great communities out there, but most
26:23
all other mean point communities in that we've got these people
26:27
like you, like Georgie, like, and I could go on.
26:30
So no one please be offended, Jack, you know, Nate, the great,
26:33
all kinds of wonderful people out there that are, that are
26:36
passionate, but also mature, right?
26:40
And, and if we can can kind of channel our energies in a, in,
26:45
in a, in a resourceful way, we can, we, we have the potential
26:49
and we're already doing pretty darn good.
26:51
But we have the potential, I think to do some incredible
26:53
things. 100% And I'll touch on something that you mentioned as
26:57
well, which is you, you said if, if I'm going to recount it
27:01
correctly, that this would not happen or this wouldn't be
27:03
happening if I weren't here. I would say that it may not be
27:06
happening on this timeline. But I have a zero doubt that we
27:09
have equally talented and much more talented persons than me on
27:13
our overall team as in EU of D team.
27:17
And at some point they would have stepped up.
27:20
I mean, it might just be a matter of the free cycles that
27:23
people have, but by no means I feel like I'm particularly
27:26
smarter than other other folks. I do have certain gifts and I'm
27:30
very, very happy to share them with the community, but but I
27:35
take pleasure in surrounding myself with people who are
27:37
smarter than me. Yeah, that's what that's how we
27:39
become effective ultimately is by doing so.
27:42
Yeah, but I agree 100%, right. And we do.
27:45
I mean we've got a person helping us with our legal, our
27:49
IP work who it's like incredible, right.
27:51
I mean, like, and it is true, you know, because I've always
27:55
read that and I've never been the CEO of a company, OK, But
27:58
I've heard CEO say, you know, you want to surround yourself
28:02
with people who are smarter than you are.
28:04
And I'm not saying I'm the CEO of this company, but you know,
28:07
yeah, we do. And it's just cool the way that
28:10
it's, it's really cool the way that it's evolving.
28:13
I guess that's a word that I come back to often times.
28:16
And, you know, you're a big part of the evolution.
28:20
And I I totally respect what you say.
28:22
You're, you're a very humble guy.
28:24
Like this would have happened without me.
28:26
The being is a big partner. We're all we've got these great
28:28
people. We've got a team.
28:31
I mean, I think honestly, you know, just as I'm sitting here
28:35
thinking now you have me thinking like people like the
28:38
beam, people like just like this is like a dream team.
28:43
We don't just have a team, we have a dream team. 100% and and
28:49
and the dream team doesn't happen on its own too.
28:50
So this is the next the next thing I wanted to cover is just
28:53
touch on the marketing improvement.
28:54
So Georgie's heading this stuff up and, and big kudos to her, of
28:57
course, and and and and P and then the team around that.
29:01
But some of the, some of the shifts that are that are, that
29:03
are coming our way is, is a little bit more structure there
29:05
as well, shifting to a higher degree of action oriented
29:11
structure. And I'm saying it that
29:12
specifically and explicitly so that you understand what what
29:15
this means. Everybody comes with ideas and
29:18
and that this is this has been part of the problem is there's a
29:21
there's a hailstorm of ideas found pounding on the head.
29:24
Hurricane. Hurricane of ideas, yes.
29:27
Hurricane of ideas, Absolutely. But but not always our ideas
29:33
matched with any notion of cycles to execute on them.
29:36
And yet people sometimes throw an idea and they feel offended.
29:39
Well, I had a great idea, but nothing happened.
29:41
Well, come on, Did you do anything at all other than just
29:44
throw it over the over the over the wall?
29:47
So, so this is, this is putting a little bit more accountability
29:51
on our team members because we can do better.
29:54
We are better than that actually, Honestly, each one of
29:57
us may not have the same gifts to contribute, but we have
29:59
something that we can contribute.
30:00
So if you've got an idea, we're looking to harness that idea,
30:04
but we're also looking for some notion of skin in the game.
30:07
Not just, I threw this over the fence and not, no one did
30:09
anything with it. No, I put it forward and I'm
30:14
willing to be involved in seeing it come to life.
30:17
And that's the important thing is seeing it come to life so
30:20
that, you know, Georgie isn't just working 4 hours plus a day,
30:25
you know, pulling her hair out because we don't want to see
30:27
that. But the, the, the teams that we
30:30
have are enabled and supported by our amazing community
30:33
members, some of whom may be sitting on the sidelines going.
30:36
I kind of want to get involved, but I'm not sure if I should
30:39
Absolutely. You should, you know, the, the,
30:41
the, the, the, I'll, I'll get in a little rabbit hole for one
30:45
moment. You know, there's, there's a
30:46
reason why I choose to stay partly anonymous in terms of my
30:49
identity. And it's like I said, I'm not,
30:52
I'm not holding a million plus beans.
30:54
I'm not, I'm not even holding 1/2 a million beans because I
30:57
bought at a high price, however, or sorry, I bought at a low
31:00
price relative to where we're going.
31:03
And, and this is this is it. The one of the reasons why we're
31:06
choosing to remain anonymous at a certain level is I believe
31:09
that we will be so wildly successful, so wildly successful
31:13
that if I were fully doxed, I would require a security team
31:18
around me 24/7 going anywhere, especially within the geographic
31:21
city that I like to travel. I don't want that.
31:24
I want to have a relative freedom, right?
31:28
And, and, and so this is, this is, this is how strongly I
31:33
believe in where we're going. So I'll also say that that I had
31:37
AI had a moment in my life where I invested in something that
31:40
went absolutely bonkers. I invested a small amount of
31:42
money, went over $1,000,000. I didn't take it out.
31:45
I saw it dwindle and kept hoping, Oh no, it's going to
31:48
come back. It's going to come back.
31:49
And guess what? It's worth less now than it was
31:51
when I first invested in it. So I've also had that
31:53
experience. But the, the, the, the challenge
31:56
there was that even though I put money into it, I did nothing to
31:59
work for that. So the reason I say it is in my
32:03
experience, when I stumble, pardon the language, but that's
32:07
backwards into something and haven't worked for it, it finds
32:12
a way of disappearing. So there's just a little
32:14
cautionary tale that if you think you're going to suddenly
32:17
become a millionaire of UFD, but you've done nothing to make that
32:19
happen, you may end up being disappointed.
32:22
So any effort that you can contribute to it also ensures
32:25
the durability of those profits. And that's that's just how I
32:29
look at it. Yeah, yeah.
32:32
So I want to touch on one thing that you said this earlier that
32:36
we've got these with we're and then we can then I know we're
32:39
we're there's more you want to cover.
32:41
But you mentioned, Georgie, I think of people like the being
32:45
there and you mentioned this earlier, like heroes, like right
32:49
now what's going on, the kind of the phase of where our project
32:53
is, is we do have certain heroes, people that step up and
32:57
do incredible amounts of work. I mean incredible amounts of
33:02
work. And I think, and and correct me
33:04
if I'm wrong on this exit that the structure might help even
33:08
alleviate, excuse me, a little bit of the pressure that's on
33:13
these heroes that are out there, like going like way above and
33:17
beyond because we don't want those people to get burnt out
33:20
either. I mean, sometimes look how if
33:23
Georgie, if you're if you're, if you're listening and I say this
33:26
to the being and other people as well.
33:28
Sometimes I wonder like and I get worried.
33:31
I'm like, but I know how hard like Georgie worked on the live
33:34
like a Unicorn charity drive, incredible amount of work and
33:38
like I don't want her to get burnt out right?
33:40
Because I'm, I'm, I'm observing, I'm like, I know what it's like
33:43
to be in that position. And do you think that that the
33:46
structure would help? How do I say it spread out some
33:50
of the responsibilities? Absolutely.
33:54
It's about kind of shock amortization, right.
33:56
It's, it's we're going through these intense periods when the
33:59
road is really, really bumpy. It's how do we set up some
34:02
stability? How do we set up some process,
34:04
even if that process isn't right.
34:06
But once we have a process and it's documented, then when we
34:09
run it through and we find mistakes, we can tune it so that
34:12
next time it'll be better. Rather than every time we're
34:15
throwing everything we have into something in a less than than
34:19
organized way. And then each time we're just
34:21
repeating that same effort. Well, we're not actually
34:23
learning from it. We're not getting better as we
34:25
go along and the idea is for us to get better as we go along.
34:29
And and this actually is a perfect vector into the next
34:32
thing I want to talk about. Ron, you have the, you have the
34:35
slides for for a couple of show and tell pieces.
34:39
And this is the the website 2 point O.
34:42
OK, Yeah, let me look. Hold on one second.
34:46
I will get that up. See if this is you want to start
34:49
here. OK, perfect.
34:51
And so of course we want to leave some mystery here and,
34:54
and, and this isn't to keep it secret in, in any way, but you
34:58
know, when you see something and then you see it again, it's just
35:01
like, yeah, we saw this already. But but when there's a little
35:04
bit of mystery, there's a little bit of that, you know, you're
35:07
unboxing something new when you get that excitement of, oh wow,
35:10
this is better than I expected. Hopefully when you see the site
35:13
live, that's what it'll be like for you.
35:15
And so we just wanted to show a few snippets here.
35:19
This is going to be a central place.
35:21
The reason why we're putting it in place, a central place to
35:24
learn about UFD. So the snapshot that Ron is
35:28
showing right now is the part of the onboarding page.
35:31
So each one of the film panels and where you can scroll to the
35:34
right. So it'll show more of it on the
35:37
actual site, each one of the film panels, when you click on
35:40
it, there's a pop up and it shows you more information about
35:42
what happened during that stage of the, of, of our evolution.
35:46
And then started with the, with the silver prelude.
35:49
So this is where runs YouTube's channel about silver was in
35:54
play. Then the, the cosmic joke of, of
35:56
it's all UFD, it's all Unicorn fart dust, right?
36:00
And the story around our, our origin and on and on and on to
36:04
present day up into ultimately where we're going and and where
36:08
is that we already know, right? This is this is the I don't have
36:13
a jar of beans to shake here. I'm not going to even try to
36:16
imitate. There we go.
36:19
It's not a live stream unless I shake the beans or I get in
36:21
trouble with Jack. They always get these old jazz
36:26
and pumped. Yeah.
36:28
And I want to, I want to point out as well.
36:30
So this film strip will actually people will be able to scroll
36:34
through it, it'll actually move across the screen.
36:36
Am I correct on that? Yeah, exactly, exactly.
36:39
So it'll reveal more as you as as we go and we can always add
36:42
new panels to it because we're going to have other events
36:44
that'll be pivotal of the other milestones on, on the journey
36:47
that we're on. I like that.
36:49
We can, we'll like. We'll be adding to the story.
36:52
The film will expand. Who knows, we may have 303030
36:57
clips on the on the film by the end, right?
37:00
Exactly, exactly. So it'll grow with us.
37:04
So, so this is a place to learn about UFD.
37:06
It's also a place through which to buy.
37:08
So we'll have links to all the different exchanges and, and of
37:11
course we'll be showing our sponsor Moon Pay as one of the
37:14
first ones. There'll be a little bit of a
37:17
blurb about Ledger as well, because that's important.
37:21
Exactly so. So here we have the, the
37:23
different things that are listed.
37:25
We're going to have also learning about the, you know,
37:31
the, the, the, the duster lore and some super fun stuff in, in
37:35
the, in the space around it too. I'm not going to, I'm not going
37:37
to go into detail, but you can expect some really cool stuff
37:40
about becoming a duster. Also finding out about who's
37:45
being recognized and for what, what kind of events are coming
37:48
up for us, a bit more transparency around the
37:52
different things that we're doing.
37:53
And it's not that we're, we don't have transparency because
37:55
Ron, you talk about these things in live streams.
37:56
There are various spaces that are being held.
37:59
But for, you know, the, the, the, the base doster who put
38:03
some money in and just wants to check in periodically to see
38:06
what's going on. They have to dig through a lot
38:08
of content to get the the skinny on, on what's happening.
38:12
And, and the website and, and the Discord server are meant to
38:15
provide that at a glance view of here are some of the key things
38:19
that are happening today. Here's some of the the cool
38:21
stuff that's coming up for us. And by the way, yeah, we've also
38:23
done some really cool things in the past.
38:25
And if you want a synopsis of what that looks like, there's a
38:27
place where you can learn about it.
38:31
Part of the website is also going to be focusing on our
38:33
artwork and that's the next slide there.
38:35
And that's the NFTS, right? So we want to we want to
38:38
acknowledge the artists who are behind these things.
38:40
And by the way, this isn't brute force built into the website.
38:45
This is actually being pulled directly and live from Magic
38:50
Eden. So, so this is going out to
38:52
Magic Eden. It's grabbing out our
38:54
collections, it's grabbing the information of the artists from
38:57
the X pages they have listed there and it's presenting,
39:01
presenting it to you live. So as different NFDS are sold
39:04
and and, and, and, and the information changes, the
39:08
pictures that you'll see on the bottom will also change the
39:11
prices that you'll see when if you were to scroll through the
39:14
page, because it'll have the name of the NFT and the price.
39:16
It'll only show the 1st 15, by the way, that's how it's set up
39:18
right now. But there'll be a link to where
39:20
you can get more. And it won't necessarily just be
39:23
these two collections of these two artists.
39:25
There are more, but this is the starting point.
39:27
We want to start featuring how incredibly talented our
39:31
community is and what some of the artistic gifts that we have
39:36
looked like, right? So this is it, There'll be a way
39:39
also for us to show and represent the cool creations
39:43
that other Dusters have done because we have some incredible
39:47
community members who are putting together some awesome
39:49
videos. I want to do A quick shout out
39:52
to Royale and the Unicorn Fartman.
39:56
The mask stays on. That's awesome.
39:59
Things like that, things that are quickly becoming part of the
40:02
UFD lower. It's just we wanna showcase them
40:05
somewhere and the site is gonna be a part of that.
40:09
Timeline wise, it's launching within approximately 2 weeks.
40:13
If we can make it happen quicker, we will absolutely make
40:17
it happen quicker. Already.
40:20
Are you of the official website? I've made a tiny modification to
40:23
it yesterday, just to point to the exchanges a little bit more
40:27
easily. And this is an advance to a
40:29
crypto conference that's happening in the UK in which we
40:33
will be having some posters and a mural and some other cool
40:35
things are happening there. I think George already touched
40:37
on it in her space yesterday, but when folks go to the
40:42
official site, we already want them to be able to access the
40:44
exchanges more easily than just buy UFD and go to Moon Shot as
40:49
as it was leading them to. So, so these tweaks are going in
40:52
and by the way, even though I'm putting in, you know, about 8
40:56
hours a day, I'm making this happen.
40:58
There are other folks in the community on a shout, shout out
41:00
to Mason, Mason Duster and a couple of other folks who are
41:04
involved in the background who are putting together some
41:07
images, who are putting together some of the narrative and so on,
41:09
so forth. And just the overall leadership
41:11
team too. You guys have been doing such a
41:13
great job in supporting me with this and providing feedback and
41:16
so on. Really cool stuff.
41:19
Then the next thing I want to talk to mention about.
41:21
Hold on. Let me, let me, I, I did exit.
41:24
I apologize. I did a poor job of introducing
41:27
that last segment. I do want to make it clear to
41:29
everyone that what exit was just talking about is a brand new
41:33
website and and I think it's going to be the best, the best
41:38
website in the whole mean point sector.
41:40
So you've made some minor modifications for the existing
41:44
website, but this is going to be a whole new website.
41:47
So thank you again for that. My, my pleasure 100% it, it
41:52
feels like there's a little bit of pressure now, so better live
41:54
up to it, though. No, no, no, I'm, I'm really
41:57
excited. It's it's not like I would say
42:00
my, my, my right hand, like my preferred hand working with
42:03
websites, but when I need some spare cash, I do, I do websites
42:06
and, and I enjoy it. So happy to turn this effort on
42:10
UFD. The official discord for the
42:14
community as well is coming soon.
42:16
And and just a tiny little anecdote.
42:19
When when I started putting together the ideas for the new
42:24
UFD website 2.0 I had, I didn't want to just throw out one idea
42:29
and say this is the way we're going.
42:31
I wanted to present a couple of different pictures of what we
42:34
could have to the leadership team and have them interact with
42:39
the static screenshots, if you will, static markups and get a
42:45
sense of different look and feel that we could have for them.
42:47
So I presented 3 different mock ups and we used the the UFD
42:50
leadership Discord to actually have have each of the members
42:55
look at three different options and then vote on it.
42:57
So imagine in the future having different community raised
43:02
thoughts, ideas presented on a Discord server where you can go
43:06
and see what people thought of and you have a voice in saying,
43:10
which things are we going to prioritize just by voting on it?
43:13
So this is really cool because this, this will be how we will
43:17
be harnessing our distributed ideas and power towards a common
43:22
good. And you will have a direct
43:23
voice. You'll be able to see
43:25
represented and it'll be codified.
43:28
It's not like someone changed your, your, your vote or it's
43:31
not like a bot came in and voted 100 times.
43:33
That's not going to be possible. One person, one vote.
43:36
That's it. And not only one person want to
43:38
vote. If if, if you are a duster,
43:40
you'll be known as a duster because we will have a bot that
43:43
is gating access to the Duster community channel.
43:47
So you'll actually approve a check against your wallet.
43:52
This is a tool that's used by by other large cryptos like Doge
43:57
and others. So these are tested tools.
44:00
They're not some Gray market thing that's going to stay,
44:02
steal your money, only going to check that you're actually
44:05
holding some beans, certain number of beans.
44:07
You're considered a duster. OK, now you have a voice in the
44:11
Europe community. You're not some, you're not some
44:13
interloper coming in, getting 50 of your friends to vote on some
44:18
stupid idea that's going to take us nowhere, right?
44:20
This is actually people who have skin in the game, who want the
44:23
value of their beans to grow, who are saying what we're doing
44:26
next. Community calendar, key
44:30
activities, donation wallet transparency, so that you'll be
44:33
able to see what are the things that we're allocating money to.
44:36
If you've given some money to the donation wallet, you'll
44:38
actually be able to have all of that information possibly in the
44:41
future. Also, the ability to both put
44:44
polls together to suggest what we spend money on and for people
44:50
to vote on that. So if you could contribute to
44:52
that, well, it has some say in how the money is being
44:54
allocated. The whole idea overall, as I
44:57
mentioned before, of having a backlog of, of false ideas that
45:00
people can vote on and much more.
45:02
So there's some exciting work happening around partnerships
45:05
around the Narwhal program and, and, and, and like I said, a lot
45:09
more than than what I've talked about.
45:11
So I'll be kind of wrapping up here.
45:13
But I want to also to do a few shout outs, which are by no
45:16
means all exclusive because there are so many incredible
45:18
community members and you get you guys really blow me away
45:22
with your passion. But specifically, I want to
45:24
acknowledge a few folks here, Magic Mike, Jack, Georgie
45:28
Carney, UFD backer, you, you freaking crack me up, man.
45:33
Elizabeth the Bean, the Scott, Nate the Great, Vincent, and of
45:38
course, Ron and Susie. You guys kind of take the OR the
45:42
cream of the crop and all of you, and I mean community at
45:45
large, not just the individuals, as I mentioned, but you guys
45:48
inspire me to be a better person.
45:50
You inspire me to do more for the community.
45:53
Thank you. And I am your servant, humble
45:56
servant of the way of the Unicorn and, and just a call to
45:58
action. All of this, all of the, the
46:01
stuff that I'm doing is just an example that we all, even
46:06
someone like a small little Ant like me can step up.
46:09
We can all contribute. We can all be leaders.
46:11
All it takes is initiative and passion.
46:14
So don't be afraid to share the skills that you have.
46:18
We went together. Remember that I work for you,
46:20
you work for me, and we all work for U of D.
46:24
So horns up dusters. I could not have said it better,
46:30
so I'm going to try to keep it short here.
46:32
But as you were talking what I envisioned, and I've said this
46:35
before, like we're not a hype coin, right?
46:38
Hype is great, excitement is great, don't get me wrong, but
46:41
we're not a, we're not a, we're not a project built purely on
46:45
hype, right? We're built on energy.
46:48
And what you were, what you were saying to the community out
46:50
there is everybody matters. And when I, if I think of our
46:53
community, which I do like a like an energy force that's
46:57
evolving and, you know, getting bigger and, and, and always
47:01
changing, like every little bit of energy that anybody puts in,
47:06
you know, contributes to that overall energy force in the
47:09
project that we're building together.
47:14
And I want to say thank you exit.
47:17
Well, thank you Ron, it's been a pleasure to be here and thanks
47:19
to the whole community. Like I said, you guys are truly
47:21
an inspiration. And Ron, you doing this everyday
47:25
live streaming like you committed to and I you know, I
47:28
was doing the website. So I so I recalled again the
47:31
commitment letter that you wrote like in December 24.
47:34
This is supposed to be a year ago now.
47:36
No, you've, you've been on it, you've been doing it.
47:39
It's, it's one of those very, very rare examples in the space
47:44
where someone actually does what they say and, and, and walks,
47:47
walks the talk. So my congratulations to you and
47:50
huge thanks to you because you, you created this, you put this
47:53
in play and here we are. I can't wait to see where we are
47:57
a year from now. I mean, it's going to be
47:58
absolutely incredible. Yeah, it's going to be a fun
48:01
ride. Thank you Exit.
48:03
And I'm here because of the community, right?
48:06
People like you, people like everyone out there.
48:08
So thank you to everyone who joined us today.
48:11
Exit, I believe, gave us a very clear description and view of
48:17
what's going on in terms of initiatives within the
48:21
community. Anyone who question whether, you
48:24
know, we have a team that's working on things.
48:26
I think we have more than a team.
48:27
We have a dream team and it's going to be super fun to see
48:31
where it leads. Exit, Thank you again.
48:34
And we'll be, I'm sure, I'm sure we're going to have calls to
48:37
have you back on again soon. We've got over 400 people on
48:40
with us live right now. Awesome.
48:43
Thank you so much. All right, have a great day.
48:46
Bye bye everybody. Horns up.
