Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: You know, Angie, my wife is about twenty eight weeks pregnant.
- 0:09Speaker 2: What's that five months or so? I don't know math,
- 0:11Speaker 2: but something like that five ish months.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I've learned there's a lot of things that you can't
- 0:17Speaker 1: really say to a pregnant woman.
- 0:19Speaker 3: What did you do? What did you do?
- 0:23Speaker 2: Why do you say it like that?
- 0:24Speaker 4: Because I already hate the way this started? Well, how
- 0:27Speaker 4: did you learn that? Either are things you can't say
- 0:29Speaker 4: to a pregnant woman, Gabe, what did you say to
- 0:31Speaker 4: your wife?
- 0:32Speaker 1: So yesterday I was messing with my wife. I would
- 0:35Speaker 1: never actually do this. I wouldn't do this if she
- 0:37Speaker 1: wasn't pregnant, but I especially wouldn't do it while she's pregnant.
- 0:41Speaker 1: It was like six thirty and for whatever reason, I
- 0:44Speaker 1: just wanted a little sweet treat, just a little ice cream.
- 0:46Speaker 1: And I'm not a big treats guy at all, No,
- 0:48Speaker 1: I know that about you. Yeah, for whatever reason, some
- 0:51Speaker 1: ice cream sounded kind of good. So I had asked Corey.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I said, hey, do we have any of those little
- 0:56Speaker 1: ice cream cone things in the freezer?
- 0:58Speaker 2: And she said no?
- 0:59Speaker 1: And I said, oh, I think I'm gonna go get
- 1:01Speaker 1: a blizzard from dairy queen okay, And she was in
- 1:03Speaker 1: her like pajamas already at that the day was over, yeah,
- 1:07Speaker 1: at six thirty for her, and she was like, oh,
- 1:10Speaker 1: I gotta get dressed so I can go. And I said, well, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Maybe I was just gonna get a sweet treat for myself.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I didn't know you you would get a sweet treat too,
- 1:19Speaker 1: Obviously I was joking. But she goes, that is something
- 1:23Speaker 1: you could never say to a pregnant woman.
- 1:24Speaker 3: That is correct.
- 1:26Speaker 2: I can't go get a blizzard and not get her
- 1:27Speaker 2: a blizzard.
- 1:28Speaker 4: No, you cannot. In fact, you can't do that in
- 1:31Speaker 4: any scenario. Like always get your wife the sweet treat, yeah,
- 1:35Speaker 4: regardless of if she asks for one or not. But
- 1:38Speaker 4: especially as a pregnant there are a lot of things
- 1:40Speaker 4: you can't say to a pregnant woman.
- 1:42Speaker 3: There are huh yeah, Like you can't say.
- 1:45Speaker 4: You're getting so big because that will doesn't a spiral. No,
- 1:51Speaker 4: you have to be very specific, like if the baby
- 1:53Speaker 4: bump is getting big, you have to explicitly say baby
- 1:58Speaker 4: bump is getting big, and the rest of you looks
- 2:01Speaker 4: exactly the same one nothing around happening.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Or like babies growing or something.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, you cannot, under no circumstance tell your wife
- 2:10Speaker 4: she's getting big. Okay, she's not a child you haven't
- 2:13Speaker 4: seen since she was a toddler, you know what I mean?
- 2:15Speaker 2: Right right?
- 2:16Speaker 1: That's good to have in the back pocket. Seven oh
- 2:18Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eight seven. Obviously these
- 2:22Speaker 1: are all very lighthearted. But what are some things you
- 2:24Speaker 1: can never say to a pregnant lady? What about this one? Angie? Like, man,
- 2:29Speaker 1: it must be nice to nap whenever you want.
- 2:32Speaker 4: I would be surprised if you don't get slapped, honestly,
- 2:34Speaker 4: and I don't condone violence, but must be that. You
- 2:38Speaker 4: cannot say must be nice about anything related to pregnancy,
- 2:43Speaker 4: because it's not.
- 2:45Speaker 1: And how dare you? Yeah, what about like, oh, pregnancy brain?
- 2:50Speaker 1: That sure seems real?
- 2:53Speaker 3: How dare you? How are you.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Trying to think of the most offensive things.
- 2:58Speaker 3: You could think of? Absolutely, do not.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Say that to your pregnant wife, ever, not even if
- 3:02Speaker 4: there's a fire.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Like that is crazy work to me. You know? What's
- 3:05Speaker 3: one I heard from a comedian once.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Is actually, never ask a woman if she's pregnant, even
- 3:11Speaker 4: if she's crowning.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I do like that.
- 3:14Speaker 1: What about I have one more for you, Angie, what
- 3:17Speaker 1: about your glowing and they're clearly just sweating.
- 3:22Speaker 4: I feel like that's something you would say to Corey,
- 3:24Speaker 4: and you better don't you better nip that in the
- 3:27Speaker 4: bud in your brain.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Do not say that to her.
- 3:29Speaker 2: That's not glowing, that's just glistening.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Yeah, celebrating life's little victories. Every morning. We practice gratitude
- 3:41Speaker 5: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 3:43Speaker 4: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 3:45Speaker 4: basket job, bust it out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 3:49Speaker 5: Share your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 3:52Speaker 5: two eight oho one ninety eight seven.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Kids.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I also needed to win that day, Angie. Do you
- 3:58Speaker 2: have a little victory for us here today?
- 4:00Speaker 3: I do?
- 4:00Speaker 4: And you actually called it out as soon as I walked.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Into the studio today.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Because I look like a human woman two days in.
- 4:10Speaker 3: A row, is what you said about.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Me as supposed to what do you normally look like? Angie?
- 4:16Speaker 4: I'm sort of a troll that lives under a bridge,
- 4:19Speaker 4: you know that variety.
- 4:21Speaker 3: No, so I wanted to. I made it a point
- 4:24Speaker 3: yesterday to dress for work.
- 4:28Speaker 4: This sounds like I always come in here looking like
- 4:30Speaker 4: a shlub, which is true.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I wanted to this week.
- 4:35Speaker 4: It was a goal of mine to not wear like
- 4:38Speaker 4: sweatpants or yoga pants or a hoodie at all this week.
- 4:42Speaker 3: And I know it's only day two, but it is
- 4:44Speaker 3: a miracle that I showed up today in a top.
- 4:48Speaker 4: And some jeans and shoes that weren't for running like that.
- 4:52Speaker 3: This is major for me. Yesterday I wore a dress.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Today I'm in jeans, and then tomorrow the plan is
- 5:00Speaker 4: to wear another dress, especially because the weather's going to
- 5:03Speaker 4: be so nice.
- 5:04Speaker 2: That's right.
- 5:04Speaker 4: So this is my two days in a row. I'm
- 5:08Speaker 4: not in some sort of ath leisure war. And I
- 5:12Speaker 4: feel really proud of myself for that.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Well, I'm proud of you too. Good for you, Angel,
- 5:17Speaker 2: thank you.
- 5:17Speaker 3: What about you, Gabe? What's your little victory which surely has.
- 5:21Speaker 2: More meaning than my I got nothing for you.
- 5:24Speaker 1: We got Stacy, though, Stacy, say, Stacy, come in clutch.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Stacey got nine hours of sleep.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I'm jealous.
- 5:32Speaker 4: I'm jealous on a level, Stacy, But I you know what,
- 5:36Speaker 4: I'm happy envious, you know what I mean.
- 5:38Speaker 3: I'm glad that you. If it's not gonna be me,
- 5:39Speaker 3: I'm glad it was you.
- 5:40Speaker 2: That's right, someone's got to do it. Yes, that's right.
- 5:43Speaker 1: My little victory is very, very minor. It's nothing great.
- 5:46Speaker 1: But I was playing some chess yesterday. If you're unaware,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I want to try to get to an ELO rating
- 5:52Speaker 1: of one thousand.
- 5:53Speaker 2: If you don't know what that is, it's.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Then you're not a nerd, no kid.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Yeah right, it's an okay rating for someone who who
- 6:00Speaker 1: doesn't take chess like super seriously, you know.
- 6:02Speaker 2: So I'm kind of working towards that.
- 6:04Speaker 1: And as I was playing yesterday, I found this new
- 6:07Speaker 1: album from Connor Price that I listened to I'm not
- 6:10Speaker 1: even kidding you fifty times in a row, front two back,
- 6:13Speaker 1: oh wow, song one all the way to song nine
- 6:16Speaker 1: or how many are no skips? It was so cool
- 6:19Speaker 1: just to have, you know, whenever you're riding in the
- 6:21Speaker 1: car and you have Big ninety eight point seven and
- 6:23Speaker 1: then you get out of range and you're like, oh
- 6:25Speaker 1: now I got to figure out what to listen to
- 6:27Speaker 1: myself and you have no idea what to pick. It
- 6:29Speaker 1: was really it's really nice to know, like, oh I
- 6:31Speaker 1: got when I'm out of the Big ninety eight point seven,
- 6:34Speaker 1: you know, signal I got something I could throw on
- 6:36Speaker 1: real quick to listen to, and then when I get back,
- 6:38Speaker 1: obviously I put it back on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's nice to have just, you know, a little.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Sunday Breakfast or Sunday Morning album to listen to while
- 6:47Speaker 1: I'm cooking breakfast or something along those lines like that's.
- 6:50Speaker 2: My very very little victory. Today. We've got Taylor Swift
- 6:53Speaker 2: coming up.
- 6:54Speaker 1: We also have the Tea on the Way here on
- 6:56Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seventy coming up here in April.
- 7:02Speaker 1: This month, April twenty third, they have the eleventh annual
- 7:06Speaker 1: Spa Getty and No Ball's Dinner, And I do believe
- 7:09Speaker 1: we're gonna have someone from the Homeward Animal Shelter stopping
- 7:12Speaker 1: by at some point very soon to talk about that.
- 7:15Speaker 1: And it kind of got me thinking. And it kind
- 7:18Speaker 1: of got me thinking just about people and their dogs, right,
- 7:20Speaker 1: and how important it is to get them spade or neotered.
- 7:23Speaker 4: I've been thinking about that too, because I've been watching
- 7:25Speaker 4: a lot of reruns of Prices, Right, Sir, and he
- 7:28Speaker 4: always says that at the end, get your pet spade
- 7:30Speaker 4: or neutered.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's kind of funny because I very recently
- 7:35Speaker 1: was that Corwin Public Holesale doing some stuff for the
- 7:38Speaker 1: radio station and working with Corwin over there at Core
- 7:40Speaker 1: Whin Public Wholesale, and I posted a picture of this
- 7:43Speaker 1: like work dog they have. Supposedly some guy or this
- 7:48Speaker 1: dog was just kind of around that area and they
- 7:51Speaker 1: sort of have adopted it. Now there is a gentleman
- 7:54Speaker 1: who Yeah, there is a gentleman who brings the dog
- 7:57Speaker 1: home from what I understood, but it's kind of just
- 7:59Speaker 1: their work. I like it, and it hangs out and
- 8:01Speaker 1: it's super friendly. When I was in there, I got
- 8:03Speaker 1: to give it a treat and stuff. It was really
- 8:05Speaker 1: really cool.
- 8:06Speaker 3: I know they also have a dog at Wimmers Diamond.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, yeah, I know they have all this. I know.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I think it's a BRAVERA Bank has a couple of
- 8:14Speaker 1: work dogs too, right on twenty twenty fifth or something
- 8:18Speaker 1: like that. Yeah, And that kind of got me thinking
- 8:20Speaker 1: how awesome it is to have a little.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Work buddy throughout the day.
- 8:24Speaker 6: You know.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I've had to have my dog Winona in the studio
- 8:27Speaker 1: here before Angie for it, and.
- 8:29Speaker 3: I missed it. I love her. I was so mad
- 8:32Speaker 3: that I missed.
- 8:33Speaker 1: It, and I was wondering having a work dog or
- 8:37Speaker 1: your work buddy go with you to work all the
- 8:39Speaker 1: time has got to be awesome. Yeah, there's also got
- 8:42Speaker 1: to be some times where maybe it's a little bit stressful.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Have you ever had an animal.
- 8:47Speaker 1: It doesn't have to be a dog, of course, but
- 8:49Speaker 1: an animal interfere with your work day seven oh one
- 8:54Speaker 1: two eight zero one nine eight seven. We have dogs
- 8:57Speaker 1: in here quite often here at Big ninety eight point
- 8:59Speaker 1: seven and Radio FM Media, so we're kind of just
- 9:02Speaker 1: used to dogs.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Sort of running around here.
- 9:04Speaker 1: But once in a while, if you're making a commercial
- 9:07Speaker 1: or something, you're a dog like barked down the hallway,
- 9:10Speaker 1: you're like, well, better re record that one.
- 9:13Speaker 6: You know.
- 9:14Speaker 1: I have had Winona in here before, and this was
- 9:16Speaker 1: the first week that I was here, and there's a
- 9:19Speaker 1: little spot on the desk in here.
- 9:21Speaker 2: She like chewed on the corner.
- 9:23Speaker 6: Huh.
- 9:23Speaker 1: She just like got her teeth and chewed on the corner.
- 9:26Speaker 1: So that was incredibly distracting when she was in here. Thankfully,
- 9:29Speaker 1: you know, they got it spackled and painted in oh
- 9:31Speaker 1: as well. But I have had to do the old
- 9:34Speaker 1: like turn the mic off, quick run and tell my
- 9:35Speaker 1: dog to stop turning.
- 9:36Speaker 2: The mic back.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Oh, that's funny.
- 9:39Speaker 1: It's pretty cloud in. But seven oh one two eight
- 9:41Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven. Have you ever had a pet,
- 9:45Speaker 1: or just an animal in general maybe affect your workday?
- 9:48Speaker 1: What about you, Catherine?
- 9:50Speaker 6: My client brought her emotional support parrot in without telling me,
- 9:54Speaker 6: and mid blow out, this bird just goes.
- 9:56Speaker 3: That looks bad.
- 9:57Speaker 6: I froze.
- 9:58Speaker 2: My client froze.
- 9:59Speaker 6: I'm like, am I being critiqued by a bird right now?
- 10:02Speaker 6: I couldn't recover mentally after that.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I love that. Actually, I mean I kind of am
- 10:07Speaker 2: out on parrots.
- 10:08Speaker 3: I'm out on all birds.
- 10:10Speaker 6: This.
- 10:10Speaker 3: I would have run away.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Could you imagine We're in here, you know, enjoying the
- 10:14Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven morning show, and then in
- 10:16Speaker 1: the background there's a parrot just gone.
- 10:18Speaker 2: That wasn't funny. That wouldn't break my soul.
- 10:22Speaker 3: That's what we have bosses for it.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Aaron, What about you, man?
- 10:25Speaker 1: What has a pet, ever, or an animal in general
- 10:28Speaker 1: ever affected your workday?
- 10:29Speaker 6: I work from home and one day a bird got
- 10:31Speaker 6: into my house and I spent half the day trying
- 10:33Speaker 6: to catch it and let it out.
- 10:34Speaker 2: A lot of birds.
- 10:35Speaker 3: That's gross.
- 10:36Speaker 4: It's like the episode of Modern Family where the pigeon
- 10:39Speaker 4: gets in the house and it's just trying to I
- 10:40Speaker 4: cannot Birds are terrible.
- 10:42Speaker 1: And she has had a bird affect her workday here
- 10:44Speaker 1: at Big ninety eight point seven on her like fourth
- 10:47Speaker 1: day here.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Yes, it crashed into one of these huge windows we had.
- 10:51Speaker 3: That was terrifying.
- 10:52Speaker 4: And that was the day you found out that I
- 10:54Speaker 4: was scared of birds because I was in a fetal
- 10:55Speaker 4: position in the corner of the room.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Rules in gray Areas.
- 11:01Speaker 5: One morning show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 11:04Speaker 2: We both know you're guilty. He's guilty. Is it legal?
- 11:07Speaker 1: You're guilty of the worst crime of all? On Big
- 11:11Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven, imagine you wake up, you look
- 11:15Speaker 1: outside and boom, your neighbor just drop a fence in
- 11:21Speaker 1: the property line, like it was an overnight Amazon delivery package.
- 11:24Speaker 1: All right, okay, And you might think, well, that's kind
- 11:27Speaker 1: of nice. Maybe I'll go decorate my fence. It turns out,
- 11:32Speaker 1: if a fence is built right on the property line
- 11:35Speaker 1: in North Dakota, it is shared. That means you both
- 11:40Speaker 1: own it and you both have to maintain it, so
- 11:43Speaker 1: when it starts falling over, you don't get to ignore it.
- 11:47Speaker 1: For two weeks, even though we all do. Now, if
- 11:49Speaker 1: defence is completely on your neighbor's property, then it should
- 11:53Speaker 1: go without saying. It is obviously their fence. It's their
- 11:55Speaker 1: problem to fix it, and the same goes for yours.
- 11:58Speaker 1: So here's a simple rule on the line. You share it,
- 12:02Speaker 1: you and your neighbor. You got co op or co
- 12:04Speaker 1: parent that fence, and if it's on your side or
- 12:07Speaker 1: their side, obviously you would own it.
- 12:09Speaker 2: But I've always kind of wonder like this.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Yeah, if someone just smacks down a fence right on
- 12:13Speaker 1: the old property line, you now have a fence to share.
- 12:17Speaker 4: I don't like that. I would have to be responded.
- 12:20Speaker 4: I didn't choose to put up that fence.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it is kind of interesting because you see so
- 12:24Speaker 1: many of fences in you know, South Fargo with these
- 12:29Speaker 1: new developments, or in West Fargo, and obviously there's fences
- 12:32Speaker 1: in North Fargo too, but it is interesting when they
- 12:34Speaker 1: pop up and you're like, wow, that's really close to
- 12:37Speaker 1: being kind of divided.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I noticed that a lot. When I'm walking my dog around.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I'm like, I wonder who and no one on planet Earth,
- 12:44Speaker 1: by the way, walks around and goes wonder who owns
- 12:46Speaker 1: that fence. Other than me, I wanted to know, and
- 12:50Speaker 1: I was kind of curious Today's lesson. Nothing brings neighbors
- 12:53Speaker 1: together like arguing over a fence, you know what I mean.
- 13:00Speaker 1: My wife is one of those Disney adults. Oh, she's
- 13:05Speaker 1: an individual who you know, sometimes on a Saturday, she
- 13:08Speaker 1: just likes to sit in the old chair, lay down
- 13:10Speaker 1: on the couch and throw on some Disney movie.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Now I love this. I like knowing this about her.
- 13:16Speaker 4: I did not know this because I will throw on
- 13:18Speaker 4: some Beauty in the Beast and Aladdin for no reason
- 13:20Speaker 4: because my kids don't want to.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Matt, that's me.
- 13:22Speaker 2: See.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I would be more of like a Pirates of the
- 13:25Speaker 1: Caribbean or Star Wars Disney adult. Oh well, there was
- 13:31Speaker 1: a Disney movie we had on the other day. And
- 13:34Speaker 1: when you're a kid, there are things in Disney movies
- 13:36Speaker 1: that you might not realize that when you now watch
- 13:39Speaker 1: as a thirty five year old, gray haired man, you go, oh, like,
- 13:43Speaker 1: this guy's actually the worst, or this girl is actually
- 13:47Speaker 1: the worst. She's the hero in this. I'm siding with
- 13:50Speaker 1: the villain. Do you have a Disney hero you hate?
- 13:54Speaker 1: Seven oh one two, eight zero one, nine eighty seven, Angie,
- 13:58Speaker 1: I'm sure you have a plethora.
- 13:59Speaker 2: To be honest, who's a Disney hero You're not a big.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Fan of I loath Elsa from Frozen.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Yeah. First of all, she didn't build a snowman with
- 14:11Speaker 3: her sister.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Rude.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I think she took it too far. I get it.
- 14:18Speaker 3: You have these.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Powers and we didn't know how to control the powers,
- 14:23Speaker 4: and she was scared about hurting her sister. Whatever, she
- 14:26Speaker 4: went overboard and then just disappeared, leaving a bunch of
- 14:31Speaker 4: Frozen destruction in her path. Like, girl, it's not all
- 14:36Speaker 4: about you. There was an entire kingdom that needed you.
- 14:41Speaker 4: But you were feeling real emotional about And I'm not
- 14:44Speaker 4: someone who gets mad at women being emotional. I am
- 14:47Speaker 4: a woman, I am emotional. But Elsa, you, I mean
- 14:51Speaker 4: you did the most. Your sister almost died because of you,
- 14:56Speaker 4: and you knew that your sister was getting engaged too
- 14:59Speaker 4: quickly to that guy, and you thought it was a
- 15:02Speaker 4: bad idea. So okay, why did you then leave to
- 15:06Speaker 4: let her make that huge mistake?
- 15:09Speaker 3: She just forgot about everyone because she was so consumed
- 15:13Speaker 3: with Ooh, ice comes out of my hands. I'm mad.
- 15:16Speaker 3: I'm mad. I don't like her.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I didn't know we were gonna get this passion out
- 15:20Speaker 2: of you this week.
- 15:20Speaker 4: I've never I'm not a Frozen fan because I thought
- 15:23Speaker 4: Elsa was doing the most.
- 15:27Speaker 3: So no, not a fan. And then she comes back and.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Then she's the hero because she uses her powers to
- 15:33Speaker 4: like fix everything and save her sister.
- 15:35Speaker 3: But no, no, no, that would have happened if you
- 15:37Speaker 3: would have just stayed in the first place.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Yeah, well, Tia, she said, Aladdin, he's just a red
- 15:42Speaker 1: flag all around.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I'm not a fan of that.
- 15:46Speaker 4: I answer, I love Aladdin. He's so hot and that
- 15:50Speaker 4: always clouds my.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Judgment, Okay, I sadly.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Also, there's a dude Disney character that, as I've gotten older, I'm.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Like, this guy stinks. Oh, Peter Pan.
- 16:02Speaker 1: So rude to Wendy and Tanker Bell and he really
- 16:07Speaker 1: just kind of a selfish guy. I don't really think
- 16:10Speaker 1: he doesn't care about the Lost Boys, you know what,
- 16:13Speaker 1: for himself.
- 16:14Speaker 2: I see Captain Hook might have been right.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I oh my gosh, I do too. I did too.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I do love Gina and Sarah. They both actually said
- 16:24Speaker 1: this about Ariel. They both they both literally said she's
- 16:30Speaker 1: a brat. Gina said Ariel whiney, selfish little brat, Sarah said, Mowana,
- 16:36Speaker 1: she disobeys.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Her dad, almost dies and is the hero in the end.
- 16:39Speaker 1: And then she adds Ariel she's a spoiled little brat
- 16:42Speaker 1: who changes her body.
- 16:43Speaker 2: For a man.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Ariel, you're a problem. In her defense, I
- 16:47Speaker 3: think she's only sixteen, that she is.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 16:51Speaker 4: But I am tired. I think Ursula gets a lot
- 16:54Speaker 4: of hate. There was a contract. She told her exactly
- 16:57Speaker 4: what was gonna happen on ariel side and did a wait,
- 17:00Speaker 4: that's not her fault, the aerial stupid.
- 17:02Speaker 2: You gotta read the you gotta read the fine book.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Also, you know, like Sheer Khan in Jungle Book, I
- 17:10Speaker 1: think he gets a lot of hate too, and we
- 17:12Speaker 1: really don't want to.
- 17:14Speaker 4: I think sher Khan is hot for an animated animal.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I learned something yesterday that I immediately went, well, I
- 17:23Speaker 1: gotta share that I might be one half of a
- 17:26Speaker 1: whole idiot and I didn't know this, So I gotta
- 17:28Speaker 1: share this with you. And you might know this. Okay,
- 17:31Speaker 1: you're you're driving on University right now. You're listening to
- 17:34Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven you might know this. This
- 17:36Speaker 1: is for the car next to you who's also listening
- 17:38Speaker 1: to Big ninety eight point seven. Did you know that
- 17:42Speaker 1: a cumulus a cumulus cloud? The average I almost said cute,
- 17:48Speaker 1: the Harry Potter, the wand or the Wan broomstick, the
- 17:52Speaker 1: Nimbus two thousand. The average cumulus cloud weighs approximately one
- 18:00Speaker 1: point one million pounds.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Or is equivalent to about one hundred elephants.
- 18:05Speaker 1: You know, then why them big puffy clouds in the Yeah,
- 18:09Speaker 1: we could all just take a nap on that thing.
- 18:12Speaker 4: But it weighs one point however many million.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Pounds one point one million pounds the average one. I mean,
- 18:19Speaker 1: that's like what the most comfortable bed ever.
- 18:22Speaker 4: I guess I've just never thought about what clouds actually are,
- 18:26Speaker 4: especially because they're in the sky, so it's like, how's
- 18:28Speaker 4: it so heavy?
- 18:30Speaker 3: But up in the sky?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Yeah, And like when planes fly through them, why don't
- 18:34Speaker 1: the why doesn't the plane crash?
- 18:36Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 18:36Speaker 4: Well that okay, I'm gonna share that one with the kidtles.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Yeahs worth of cloud up there?
- 18:43Speaker 3: That is crazy? You know what?
- 18:46Speaker 4: It was maybe two nights ago, my son, it was
- 18:49Speaker 4: a fend for yourself night for dinner okay, oh yeah, yeah.
- 18:52Speaker 4: So I told Aid and I said, I don't know,
- 18:54Speaker 4: why don't you just make that frozen pizza that's in
- 18:57Speaker 4: the freezer and you're like, oh, frozen pizza, complaining about
- 19:00Speaker 4: frozen pizza, and it was like a good costco one.
- 19:02Speaker 4: So I don't want to hear fifteen years old, yeah right,
- 19:05Speaker 4: And so I dropped this little truth bomb on him
- 19:09Speaker 4: and he happily ate the pizza, which was it's the
- 19:12Speaker 4: good back in my day type of story. But this
- 19:15Speaker 4: is actually about my mom. So my mom is Cuban.
- 19:19Speaker 4: She came over in nineteen eighty on a little boat
- 19:23Speaker 4: and so she grew up in Cuba. And she told
- 19:26Speaker 4: me this when I was younger, when I was complaining
- 19:28Speaker 4: about frozen pizza. Surely, and it's that back in the
- 19:31Speaker 4: day in Cuba because there was such a scarcity of
- 19:35Speaker 4: food and specifically cheese that at restaurants they would use
- 19:41Speaker 4: melted down condoms to make.
- 19:44Speaker 3: She's gooier on pizza shot. Yes, that is true.
- 19:49Speaker 4: If you google it, it says that it is considered
- 19:53Speaker 4: an anecdotal myth. However, my mom is a nobs kind
- 19:58Speaker 4: of lady and she lived through it like she lived
- 20:01Speaker 4: through it and would actively avoid eating pizza at restaurant.
- 20:06Speaker 2: That's insane.
- 20:07Speaker 3: It's not true anymore.
- 20:09Speaker 4: We figured it out because I went I visited Cuba
- 20:12Speaker 4: when I was sixteen with my mom and we went
- 20:14Speaker 4: to a restaurant and there was pizza and I was like,
- 20:16Speaker 4: absolutely not and she said, no, they don't do that anymore.
- 20:18Speaker 2: That is crazy.
- 20:20Speaker 3: I know, Wow, his frozen pizza. Happily.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna do my research, and by research, I mean
- 20:27Speaker 1: call your mother. We've got Sarah who said Lollipops and
- 20:32Speaker 1: Snickers were both named after famous racehorses, which is a
- 20:37Speaker 1: great fact.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I mean I didn't know that. It seems right. Yeah,
- 20:40Speaker 2: So I'm just.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Gonna at this point if you tell me it's the fact. Yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 3: for this bit, I'm gonna believe it immediately.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, that is believable. Debbie said on Angie,
- 20:51Speaker 2: this is a fact you could learn. I think this
- 20:52Speaker 2: is something you need to know.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Oh gosh, what on the sidewall of a tire You
- 20:56Speaker 1: can find the week and year a tire was manufact
- 21:00Speaker 1: So if you've ever wondered, I wonder how old my
- 21:02Speaker 1: tires are, maybe it's time to get a couple new ones.
- 21:04Speaker 1: You can just check the year they were created, and
- 21:06Speaker 1: then you know, find out about how many miles you
- 21:09Speaker 1: drive per year, and find out how many miles have
- 21:11Speaker 1: been on your time excellently.
- 21:12Speaker 4: I hope Mikey was listening, because my man takes care
- 21:15Speaker 4: of car things.
- 21:16Speaker 3: I can barely drive one that sounds right.
- 21:18Speaker 1: And then finally, this is the type of useless information
- 21:22Speaker 1: I am all for. Okay, this is what I needed
- 21:24Speaker 1: to learn today from Ricky. I will be sharing this
- 21:26Speaker 1: when I get home. There are at least thirty five
- 21:30Speaker 1: I believe it's thirty five million kangaroos in Australia and
- 21:35Speaker 1: roughly twelve million people in Belgium. If kangaroos invaded Belgium,
- 21:41Speaker 1: everyone would have to fight at least three kangaroos.
- 21:45Speaker 3: This is my favorite bit of information I've ever heard.
- 21:48Speaker 3: I cannot wait to tell my eight year old.
- 21:50Speaker 1: And this is the one time here on Big ninety
- 21:52Speaker 1: eight point seven where if you put in a fun
- 21:54Speaker 1: fact on Facebook or you text it to us, that
- 21:56Speaker 1: is going to be a fact yep to me or
- 21:58Speaker 1: Angie until we find out otherwise, we will believe it
- 22:01Speaker 1: for the rest of eternity.
- 22:10Speaker 2: I have been a radio.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Guy Angie four about fifteen years, maybe fourteen or something
- 22:15Speaker 1: like that. And for fourteen years I have been in
- 22:18Speaker 1: my professional career as a childless individual. And as you
- 22:23Speaker 1: go about your life not having a kid, there are
- 22:26Speaker 1: a lot of things that you'd kind of jump on
- 22:29Speaker 1: board and get signed up to do at certain times
- 22:32Speaker 1: throughout the day because you don't have to go get
- 22:35Speaker 1: a kid from daycare, you don't got to go to
- 22:37Speaker 1: parent teacher conferences, you don't have Little league games or
- 22:39Speaker 1: t ball you got to go to on the weekend.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Well, for the first time.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I feel like I a little check off the old list,
- 22:46Speaker 1: a check mark off the old list of a parenting
- 22:48Speaker 1: moment that I had to have for the first time
- 22:51Speaker 1: in my life. Yesterday, all right, there was just some
- 22:53Speaker 1: discussions about some things that coming up that Angie and
- 22:56Speaker 1: I might be able to do that are very exciting
- 22:58Speaker 1: for a big ninety eight point seven, And they were
- 23:01Speaker 1: planning on being held at a certain time, right Yeah.
- 23:05Speaker 1: And when I was approached about this, I was like,
- 23:07Speaker 1: well until about September, Like that's perfect. I can obviously
- 23:11Speaker 1: do all this, but about September that'll be a time
- 23:15Speaker 1: I gotta go pick up a baby from daycare, which
- 23:19Speaker 1: I will say for fourteen years of never kind of
- 23:22Speaker 1: using the old can't do it, get the kid? Yeah,
- 23:25Speaker 1: excuse it felt pretty dang good. I'll let you pretty
- 23:29Speaker 1: good to just be like, hey, we can still do this.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Can we just move it up forty minutes?
- 23:33Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 23:33Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:34Speaker 1: And I know every parent on earth has had to
- 23:38Speaker 1: move a just change yeah whatever because they got to
- 23:41Speaker 1: pick up a kid or bring a kid somewhere, or
- 23:43Speaker 1: they got a dentist appointment, or whatever the case may be.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And for fourteen years I had been waiting for that
- 23:49Speaker 1: moment yesterday where I could be like, got the kid.
- 23:54Speaker 4: You know what's so funny, though, is that the grass
- 23:57Speaker 4: isn't greener on the other side because as the childless one,
- 24:01Speaker 4: I know that that because I lived a life where
- 24:04Speaker 4: I didn't always have kids right right.
- 24:06Speaker 3: So there would there would be a little bit of.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Resentment built up, Like I would have managers that would
- 24:11Speaker 4: be like, no, we can't because I have to go
- 24:14Speaker 4: do this with my kid, and I'd be like, oh,
- 24:15Speaker 4: so I gotta do the thing right because you chose
- 24:18Speaker 4: to have a kid, and then I chose to have
- 24:20Speaker 4: a kid, and so I started. But then when you
- 24:24Speaker 4: have a kid and you have to rearrange things because
- 24:27Speaker 4: of that. You realize that it wasn't like a get
- 24:29Speaker 4: out of anything free card. You just now have a different,
- 24:33Speaker 4: other time consuming Yeah, you just do more.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Is that your plate with a different schedule. Yeah.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:39Speaker 2: It was just kind of funny.
- 24:40Speaker 3: And the person I was I like that, you're on
- 24:42Speaker 3: this side of it now.
- 24:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:43Speaker 1: The person I was talking in the building, she obviously
- 24:45Speaker 1: understood and was totally cool about it. It was just
- 24:47Speaker 1: very funny that for fourteen years there was a lot
- 24:50Speaker 1: of Oh, I can't, I gotta do all do this
- 24:52Speaker 1: with the kid, can't got this with the kid, can't.
- 24:54Speaker 1: It's like, well, Gabe can do it, And then you know,
- 24:56Speaker 1: obviously I would do it because of course I could go.
- 24:59Speaker 1: And it was just a very very parenting moment I
- 25:03Speaker 1: had yesterday before baby g has even arrived.
- 25:05Speaker 4: Welcome to the club.
- 25:13Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 25:17Speaker 5: Good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Today's Gabe's Good News of the day actually is coming
- 25:24Speaker 1: right from North.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Dakota State University.
- 25:29Speaker 1: They are celebrating student innovation with a free event highlighting
- 25:34Speaker 1: the next generation of entrepreneurs. The Possibility Showcase, that's what
- 25:39Speaker 1: it's called. The Possibility Showcase brings together eleven a student
- 25:43Speaker 1: led startup teams presenting ideas in areas like agriculture, AI,
- 25:48Speaker 1: health and sustainability, and attendees can check out these live demos,
- 25:52Speaker 1: meet the student founders, and even vote for their favorite project.
- 25:56Speaker 1: The event also features a keynote from NDSU alum and
- 25:59Speaker 1: Forbes Under Thirty honoree. And this person went from growing
- 26:04Speaker 1: up in a refugee camp to launching a mission driven
- 26:08Speaker 1: business and I believe her name is Christelle.
- 26:10Speaker 2: That's how you say it.
- 26:12Speaker 1: And it's all about turning big ideas into real world
- 26:15Speaker 1: impact and celebrating creativity happening right here in our community.
- 26:20Speaker 1: If you've ever been an entrepreneur or you have a
- 26:22Speaker 1: startup business or just starting up business in general, Yeah,
- 26:25Speaker 1: it takes, first off, a ton of courage, all right, Yes,
- 26:29Speaker 1: in and of itself is so brave and it's just
- 26:32Speaker 1: so cool that they're highlighting this for these students. And
- 26:35Speaker 1: it also takes a lot of creativity. It takes a
- 26:38Speaker 1: lot of I don't know, gumption. There's so many things
- 26:41Speaker 1: that it takes to start a business or have an
- 26:44Speaker 1: idea that might be new and fun or creative or helpful,
- 26:48Speaker 1: and people shooting it down left and right.
- 26:50Speaker 2: You probably get told no all the time or that'll
- 26:53Speaker 2: never work.
- 26:53Speaker 1: And the fact that they're highlighting this and making these ideas,
- 26:57Speaker 1: you know, a big piece of what's going going on
- 27:00Speaker 1: in this presentation I think is so wonderful and really
- 27:02Speaker 1: really cool for these students.
- 27:04Speaker 3: I love this.
- 27:05Speaker 4: I could never mate, So I'm always gonna support the
- 27:08Speaker 4: people who.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Can exactly the world is full of nice people. If
- 27:11Speaker 1: you can't find one, you gotta be one. And broken
- 27:14Speaker 1: crans they still color
