- 0:01Speaker 1: The Blaze in Confused. Podcast is rated M for marijuana
- 0:04Speaker 1: no minors, but your audience is only This episode is
- 0:09Speaker 1: about edibles. This is an edible episode. Yeah, normally I
- 0:12Speaker 1: don't like edibles. I still really don't. But what are
- 0:14Speaker 1: those labeled as mixed fruit? Yeah? Tisted? Okay, this is
- 0:17Speaker 1: from Jams. How do you say this? Jam's troke is
- 0:22Speaker 1: tro troph he's this is Spanish Jams t r O
- 0:29Speaker 1: c h E S. Yeah. I've heard people say it
- 0:32Speaker 1: a bunch of different ways. Yeah, so I've been I'm
- 0:35Speaker 1: just now, like recovering from being down with the sickness
- 0:37Speaker 1: for the past week. And mister Becker brought me edibles
- 0:41Speaker 1: because every time I smoke weed now in the past week,
- 0:44Speaker 1: I regret it. So I'm somewhat of a doctor. I
- 0:46Speaker 1: figured bring you some. Yes, thank you, thank you very much. Welcome,
- 0:49Speaker 1: thank you. Yeah. How's it going over there? Travis good? Yeah?
- 0:53Speaker 1: How are you guys doing? Travis is our guest today.
- 0:55Speaker 1: He's an artist. Would you would you say artist? Cartoonist?
- 0:58Speaker 1: How do you want to be in it? Uh? Creative? No,
- 1:03Speaker 1: I like that. I'm happy with cartoonists. That's fine, that's fine.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I like creative better. I've done a lot of different
- 1:08Speaker 2: things over the years of comics. I've done video games,
- 1:10Speaker 2: I've been publishing caricatures, so I think it all kind
- 1:15Speaker 2: of falls under creative.
- 1:17Speaker 1: But you know for sure, and today you're you're doing
- 1:19Speaker 1: a caricature right now because uh, my friend and co
- 1:22Speaker 1: host here got his characater done at a party a
- 1:25Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago, and he wasn't very thrilled. Home.
- 1:28Speaker 1: We keep talking about this, yeah, never ending conversation about
- 1:31Speaker 1: the caricature. And it's not that I don't like it.
- 1:34Speaker 1: It's that this dude made me cross eye, Like when
- 1:37Speaker 1: I look at this, are you sure it wasn't genetics?
- 1:40Speaker 1: Look at my eyes? Are they crossed? Not right now? No,
- 1:44Speaker 1: the more you smoke. But again, I wasn't high that. Yeh, yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 1: your eyes are a little inward. But we're trying to
- 1:52Speaker 1: remedy to that that today, I thought bringing on a
- 1:55Speaker 1: creative like, I like that. I like that term creative. Yeah,
- 1:59Speaker 1: what do you do, I'm a creative? That makes you
- 2:01Speaker 1: sound very official, you know, kind of like creator, you know,
- 2:04Speaker 1: like a god complex. But that's isn't that crazy? Though?
- 2:09Speaker 1: There's a big difference between being a creator and being
- 2:12Speaker 1: a creative. Like, if you told me you're a creator,
- 2:14Speaker 1: then I would assume that you're like an online Yeah,
- 2:17Speaker 1: douchey creator. You know what I mean? Content? Yes, content
- 2:21Speaker 1: creator intent? Yeah? Do you what kind of content do
- 2:24Speaker 1: you create? You know? Well, he's not only fans tempting.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Isn't it a few minutes, I'll work something. Lately it's
- 2:33Speaker 2: been mucus because you know, I we're all sick.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not sick. I'm trying to avoid all that.
- 2:38Speaker 1: All I've done is call for the past week. You
- 2:40Speaker 1: sound great now, My poor neighbors, all I've heard is
- 2:43Speaker 1: through the walls for the past week. If so, Yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 1: I don't know they hear that anyway, he's sick or
- 2:48Speaker 1: is he just smoking again? Pretty much? Both?
- 2:52Speaker 2: So?
- 2:52Speaker 1: Uh, you know I was at CBS stocking up on
- 2:55Speaker 1: all my sick remedies this week. Do you have an
- 2:56Speaker 1: HSA health savings account? I do not? You know what
- 2:59Speaker 1: this though? I do? Okay, So I'm an idiot. I
- 3:02Speaker 1: didn't even realize they sent me like a debit card. Yeah,
- 3:07Speaker 1: my employer sent me a debit card and that's my
- 3:09Speaker 1: health saving account. So dude, no shit, Like two weeks ago.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Clean out my desk, I find this debit card with
- 3:15Speaker 1: my name on it. At first I thought it was
- 3:16Speaker 1: a gift card. I'm thinking, hell, what's this? So now
- 3:20Speaker 1: it's like my fun little game of I go everywhere
- 3:22Speaker 1: and I see if the HSA card will work. I
- 3:25Speaker 1: try it everywhere everywhere, dude, Like where, for instance, outside
- 3:29Speaker 1: of a CVS? Like where? Okay, so I bought pens
- 3:31Speaker 1: at Staples. I thought, let me swipe the HSA, see
- 3:34Speaker 1: if it works. Sure, No, who knew? I wonder if
- 3:38Speaker 1: they checked that though, Like, let's see if he's spending
- 3:41Speaker 1: it on health stuff. Oh wait, Staples, what did you
- 3:44Speaker 1: buy here? Pens? That's not what this is for. I
- 3:46Speaker 1: don't know how they would do that. They can't police,
- 3:47Speaker 1: you know anything about HSA's very minimal. We're on the
- 3:52Speaker 1: same page here, I think. Apparently I'm paying into that.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Who knew we're gonna use it today? He's gonna go
- 3:57Speaker 1: to I'm gonna try door. Dash said, I got to
- 4:01Speaker 1: say that we should go to Staley's after this. Well, yeah,
- 4:03Speaker 1: it's funny. You buy stuff on Amazon now, like it'll
- 4:05Speaker 1: say next to it, HSA acceptable. But that doesn't make
- 4:09Speaker 1: any sense because if you have a card of stuff
- 4:11Speaker 1: on Amazon, and half of it you can buy with
- 4:13Speaker 1: your HSA and the other half you can't. Yeah, well,
- 4:16Speaker 1: what do you have two separate transactions like you have?
- 4:18Speaker 1: You got to pay twice? I think so. I don't know.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I really have no idea how that stuff. I never
- 4:24Speaker 1: sign up for those because I don't understand. I don't
- 4:26Speaker 1: understand how it works either. Well, it's like a four
- 4:27Speaker 1: to one K too, I don't get how that works.
- 4:30Speaker 1: You're going to do what with my money? You're gonna
- 4:31Speaker 1: do well with my money? Yeah, apparently if you have
- 4:34Speaker 1: a four to one K, it's doing great right now?
- 4:36Speaker 1: Thank you, President Trump. Oh, he's doing such a great job,
- 4:39Speaker 1: you know, so, thank you. Well, all those all those
- 4:41Speaker 1: programs assume that you have extra at the end of
- 4:45Speaker 1: the month to be able to put into something else.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So oh okay, well no, like, you know what if
- 4:49Speaker 1: you're not living paycheck to paycheck, you know? Yeah? Oh,
- 4:53Speaker 1: what is that a train? It's a train you you
- 4:56Speaker 1: live like less than a half of a mile from
- 4:59Speaker 1: a train yard. You know that a train yard? Yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 1: there's all these trains back there. That's a train yard.
- 5:04Speaker 1: We're gonna take a ride then there's a bunch of
- 5:05Speaker 1: trains right back here. They all like park and do
- 5:08Speaker 1: shit back there. I don't know anything about that park
- 5:10Speaker 1: and do shit. I don't know anything about anyway. Trains
- 5:14Speaker 1: are kind of creepy. Why. I used to like trains,
- 5:17Speaker 1: but now I look at them and I'm like, yeah,
- 5:18Speaker 1: do you like passenger trains? Like do you like taking
- 5:20Speaker 1: the subway or hopping on a train? I love taking
- 5:22Speaker 1: the subway, but that doesn't feel like a train to me. No,
- 5:25Speaker 1: you know that it is a train, Yeah, but it's
- 5:27Speaker 1: like a fast train. It's different, and it's not exposed,
- 5:31Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's underground. You don't see yeah,
- 5:34Speaker 1: like a train. A lot of subways come up from underground, though,
- 5:36Speaker 1: and they come you know, the street level and you
- 5:37Speaker 1: can see them. Yeah, it happens a lot. Yeah. Have
- 5:41Speaker 1: I ever taken a passenger train like a regular you
- 5:43Speaker 1: know there's one in jim Thorpe. Yeah, that's supposed to
- 5:45Speaker 1: be like really cool. Yeah, everybody says though, go in
- 5:48Speaker 1: the fall. Yeah, all the leaves are chain foliage. Yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 1: it's beautiful, cumbnoleness. Take it all in.
- 5:53Speaker 3: You know.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Jim Thorpe is supposed to be the Switzerland of the
- 5:56Speaker 1: United States or something like that. People come from out
- 5:59Speaker 1: of the country to see this, and supposedly, if you
- 6:01Speaker 1: want some really good drugs, that's where you're supposed to go.
- 6:03Speaker 2: It's it's beautiful area, but you got to pass through
- 6:06Speaker 2: places like Palmerton.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yeah, slating. We have a lot of listeners in these
- 6:10Speaker 1: places and we value all of them. Druggie or not.
- 6:15Speaker 1: They got nothing else better to do than listen to you, guys. Yeah, yes,
- 6:18Speaker 1: welcome kind of people. Welcome to the Blaze to Confused podcast.
- 6:21Speaker 1: If you need some really good meth, go to Jim Thorpe. No,
- 6:25Speaker 1: on the way to Jim. Wait, that sounds like a book,
- 6:29Speaker 1: just like in the Bible. On the way to a mess. Yeah,
- 6:32Speaker 1: on the way to Jim Thorpe.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Mess.
- 6:35Speaker 1: It's episode thirty nine. We should kick the show off.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Huh yeah, let me press the open button. Should okay? Open?
- 6:39Speaker 3: They Blazed and Confused Podcasts with Becker and Joel, The
- 6:44Speaker 3: Trivia podcast where Truth, Fury and THHC glide. Let's spark
- 6:50Speaker 3: your curiosity and.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Light up some knowledge.
- 6:54Speaker 3: They'll Blazed and Confused Podcasts with Becker and Joel starts
- 7:00Speaker 3: now try.
- 7:01Speaker 1: The coffee table looking for a lighter. As always, we
- 7:05Speaker 1: start the show unprepared, unprepared. All right, do you have
- 7:10Speaker 1: an astra? I need that too. We don't have any mind. Yeah,
- 7:14Speaker 1: we took edibles and we forgot to get everything else. Well,
- 7:16Speaker 1: you don't need an astray for edibles? Well, he had
- 7:19Speaker 1: asked me, can we do edibles for this episode? I'm like, sure,
- 7:22Speaker 1: but can I also smoke? Because I like edibles but
- 7:26Speaker 1: I don't really do much for me now. They don't
- 7:28Speaker 1: do much for me, Like I take one at nights
- 7:30Speaker 1: sometimes to get you know, comfy for bed, but yether
- 7:32Speaker 1: than that, it has to be pretty strong for me
- 7:35Speaker 1: to I've been shick the past week and I ate
- 7:37Speaker 1: two edibles on Friday night. I felt sober as a
- 7:40Speaker 1: sixteen year old man. I just like, is that a term?
- 7:43Speaker 1: I don't think so it is. Now I ate two
- 7:46Speaker 1: of them. I was fine, totally fine. Again, maybe it's
- 7:49Speaker 1: because they were expired. The edibles go bad, I think, so,
- 7:52Speaker 1: how expired were they? Well, that's just it. I'm assuming
- 7:54Speaker 1: that they're expired because I took the wrapping off the thing.
- 7:57Speaker 1: But they're at least two three years old. Yeah, I
- 8:00Speaker 1: don't think they were a brownie. You just got to
- 8:01Speaker 1: scrap the mold off of the tame. No, it wasn't
- 8:03Speaker 1: a brownie. They were little, they were little gummies little.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I'm telling you to them, yeah yeah, no, I'm telling you.
- 8:08Speaker 1: When I ate it, dumb, I'm thinking tasted awful. Was
- 8:12Speaker 1: not good. It was not good, and it did nothing
- 8:14Speaker 1: to me. It got me a little tired. I snoozed
- 8:16Speaker 1: on the couch afterwards. That's it. That's all ediblest normally
- 8:19Speaker 1: do to me. That's a shame. I remember the first
- 8:21Speaker 1: time I ever ate an edible. I was like nineteen
- 8:24Speaker 1: years old. There was a coworker of ours that you
- 8:27Speaker 1: might remember, Uh was like what is their name? Rhyme
- 8:30Speaker 1: with I'm not going okay, god got There was a
- 8:33Speaker 1: coworker of ours that was like making cakes, like these
- 8:36Speaker 1: little mini cakes, and they were I think it was
- 8:39Speaker 1: a chocolate lava cake. Okay, so like a dumb ass.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I remember I was living alone. I was nineteen years old.
- 8:44Speaker 1: I took one of these lava cakes and I thought, oh,
- 8:46Speaker 1: I want it al a mode. So I microwaved it,
- 8:49Speaker 1: and then my whole apartments breaked of weed. And then
- 8:53Speaker 1: all I remember is I ate the chocolate lava cake
- 8:56Speaker 1: ala mode and then passed out and took like a
- 8:58Speaker 1: four hour And this is an all mode mean with
- 9:00Speaker 1: ice cream, thah, exactly with ice cream. But so you
- 9:02Speaker 1: got to heat it up though, Oh I didn't know that.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I thought you just put it with ice cream and
- 9:06Speaker 1: that's what made it all the mode. No, maybe see
- 9:08Speaker 1: all the mode to me means you got heated up.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Maybe not, though now I think all the mode translates
- 9:12Speaker 1: to only ice cream. Ice Cream probably tastes better when
- 9:14Speaker 1: you heat it up.
- 9:15Speaker 2: There.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I love brownie Sunday. Oh yeah, back in the day.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Used to work at Friendlies when I was a teenager,
- 9:21Speaker 2: and I used to make these kick ass brownie Sundays.
- 9:23Speaker 2: He heat up the brownie and you put the scoopa,
- 9:25Speaker 2: you know, min chocolate chip on top with the fudge
- 9:28Speaker 2: and who cream. But it's got Friendlies, right, It's like
- 9:30Speaker 2: an old timey sense friendly that they're not around anymore.
- 9:33Speaker 2: We're talking, Oh my gosh, what am I fifty now?
- 9:35Speaker 2: So over thirty years ago? I didn't know you were fifty.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Just turned fifty last great for a couple of weeks ago,
- 9:41Speaker 2: thank you.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I think Friendlies is around though, oh really, well, I
- 9:46Speaker 1: think they're feeling far between its friendlies.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Isn't that weird zone where it's above fast food? So people,
- 9:53Speaker 2: you know, they want their food delivered quickly, but they
- 9:55Speaker 2: don't want to tip you because you know, it's not
- 9:58Speaker 2: like Applebee's where you order drink right, So they're not
- 10:01Speaker 2: you know, they're and they never had a bar or
- 10:03Speaker 2: anything ConA in a hurry, but they're they connor cheap
- 10:07Speaker 2: because they're there.
- 10:07Speaker 1: They're all their kids. There were rug.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Rats and at the same time, they want their food fast,
- 10:12Speaker 2: but they they don't you know, where's my ketchup? You know,
- 10:15Speaker 2: and they it was stressful. It was stressful with the
- 10:18Speaker 2: place to learn how to wait on tables. But I
- 10:20Speaker 2: always felt like it's because we had only a few
- 10:22Speaker 2: weight staff and you had big section.
- 10:24Speaker 1: What did you do there? I was a waiter. Yeah.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I first got my start in high school there as
- 10:28Speaker 2: a scoopologist, so you know, work in the fountain and
- 10:32Speaker 2: you know, because then when there's a window to people
- 10:34Speaker 2: could walk up to outside and I would make Sundays
- 10:36Speaker 2: and the one needs some shakes, yep, the onely kind
- 10:39Speaker 2: of way. Yeah, it's closed down, and every time I
- 10:41Speaker 2: drive by it. I'm like, I want to steal that
- 10:42Speaker 2: weather vein. It's got the ice cream going on the
- 10:45Speaker 2: weather vein. But yeah, they shut that down. Funny story
- 10:48Speaker 2: about that place. So I met my ex there, my
- 10:51Speaker 2: ex wife, the mother of my daughter, h thirty years ago,
- 10:55Speaker 2: when we were waiting on tables and you know, eventually
- 10:58Speaker 2: had had a daughter. And the day my daughter was born,
- 11:01Speaker 2: the day she was brought into this world, that Friendly's
- 11:04Speaker 2: caught fire. Wow, the place I met her mother.
- 11:08Speaker 1: That was yeah. Crazy.
- 11:11Speaker 2: And that place is now, you know, empty and clothed.
- 11:14Speaker 2: But man, I miss friendlies. Now what was that blue
- 11:17Speaker 2: drink called?
- 11:18Speaker 1: That's all I remember as a little kid is going
- 11:20Speaker 1: there and getting this blue like cotton candy drink.
- 11:23Speaker 2: It was like a fribble. Yes, yeah, it's like a shake, right, yes,
- 11:26Speaker 2: so they had different flavors, but yeah, it was called
- 11:28Speaker 2: a fribble, which which I think it was just like
- 11:30Speaker 2: a thinner milkshake, because we met her mixed milkshakes pretty
- 11:33Speaker 2: thick with the actual ice cream. So but the fribbles
- 11:36Speaker 2: were I think like just like a thinner water down
- 11:38Speaker 2: milkshake fribble.
- 11:39Speaker 1: It wasn't like it was a great word. A blue
- 11:41Speaker 1: milk from Star Wars. But I also remember this, like
- 11:44Speaker 1: I think it was a soda or something, and it
- 11:46Speaker 1: was like a cotton candy flavored blue soda. And I
- 11:49Speaker 1: remember the last time that I went to Friendlies, which
- 11:51Speaker 1: was only like, I don't know, three four years ago
- 11:53Speaker 1: before this one up here closed. I asked the waitress
- 11:56Speaker 1: about this because I wanted to order one because I
- 11:58Speaker 1: remember this from my childhood, and she goes, yeah, it's
- 12:00Speaker 1: on the kids menu. I remember her saying it to me,
- 12:02Speaker 1: and I ordered it. Best believe I freaking ordered it.
- 12:05Speaker 1: That's probably after my time.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I think I don't remember a blue drink like that,
- 12:10Speaker 2: But well, I came from the Conehead Sunday era. You
- 12:14Speaker 2: know the little clown Head Sunday. Oh yeah, they flipped
- 12:16Speaker 2: the ice cream come upside down with the piece's face.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Yes, but you didn't just work out Friendlies. You've had
- 12:21Speaker 1: a lot of really cool jobs. What else do you
- 12:23Speaker 1: do aside from being a creator? Well over, my resume
- 12:28Speaker 1: is ridiculous. It's like a roller coaster. But I had
- 12:31Speaker 1: an internship at Hannah Barbera when I was rip before
- 12:35Speaker 1: my senior year in high school. So I went to
- 12:36Speaker 1: California for part of the summer. That's the company that
- 12:38Speaker 1: did Scooby Doo and Flintstones and Yogeber. I don't care kids,
- 12:41Speaker 1: these adols don't know those characters.
- 12:42Speaker 2: But I had a scholarship from Marvel Comics to go
- 12:46Speaker 2: to cartooning school, so I had a full ride to
- 12:48Speaker 2: art school.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Wow.
- 12:49Speaker 2: It did my first comic book professional work while I
- 12:53Speaker 2: had an internship at Marvel. While I was there, did
- 12:55Speaker 2: Red and Stimpy Comics. I did some inking for Rent
- 12:58Speaker 2: and Stimpy. Graduated ninety eight. I got into graphic design,
- 13:04Speaker 2: working for a signed company down in Westchester. I did
- 13:06Speaker 2: that for a couple of years, moved back up to
- 13:08Speaker 2: Sailorsburg when my father passed away, and then I started
- 13:11Speaker 2: working for a video game company in Little Falls, New
- 13:13Speaker 2: Jersey called Hypnotics.
- 13:15Speaker 1: They're very small company.
- 13:16Speaker 2: They did some really cool CD ROM games for computers
- 13:20Speaker 2: for Scholastic for kids' educational stuff. But they also did
- 13:25Speaker 2: some console games called the Outlaw games, which are these
- 13:28Speaker 2: raunchy sports games. There was an Outlaw Golf, out Law Tennis,
- 13:31Speaker 2: Outlaw Volleyball, and I helped develop the cinematics. We did
- 13:37Speaker 2: storyboards for that.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Oh cool.
- 13:40Speaker 2: I did motion capture acting for that game. I did video,
- 13:42Speaker 2: I did character design, I did you name it? I
- 13:45Speaker 2: did some writing for that game. One of the games,
- 13:48Speaker 2: I want to say it might have been Golf Too,
- 13:51Speaker 2: was narrated by Stephen Colbert, And all of our games
- 13:55Speaker 2: were narrated, like Steve Krall did one of them, David
- 13:57Speaker 2: Tell did another one. But the Stephen Colbert one was
- 14:00Speaker 2: really cool for me because I got to do some
- 14:01Speaker 2: writing on that game and Stephen Colbert got to record
- 14:04Speaker 2: some of the lines.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I wrote, Oh, that's great.
- 14:06Speaker 2: So that company, we eventually started working for third party
- 14:10Speaker 2: development for EA Sports, did an arena football game, and
- 14:15Speaker 2: our company got bought by EA Sports and they moved
- 14:17Speaker 2: us down to Orlando.
- 14:19Speaker 1: So that was two thousand and five. Wow. I worked
- 14:22Speaker 1: for A Sports to the game in the game, EA Sports.
- 14:26Speaker 2: That's pretty good, and I worked for them for six
- 14:29Speaker 2: years until the economy crashed in two thousand and nine.
- 14:33Speaker 1: But I'd worked on Arena Football.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I worked on EA Mma, which I was the live
- 14:37Speaker 2: broadcast producer for that game. That was really cool, so
- 14:40Speaker 2: I got to make content. I got the direct talent
- 14:42Speaker 2: in the booth. I started doing more comics for Disney.
- 14:45Speaker 2: I worked for a publisher called Boom Studios, and they
- 14:49Speaker 2: had the license for the Pixar Disney stuff. I did
- 14:51Speaker 2: Toy story, I did Cars comics, I did some Adventure
- 14:54Speaker 2: Time stuff Courting Network. Then I got rehired by e
- 14:59Speaker 2: A and worked on the MMA game. So I did
- 15:01Speaker 2: that for about thirteen months as a contractor, and then
- 15:04Speaker 2: after that I did caricaturing for Disney for about six
- 15:07Speaker 2: years before I went through divorce and moved back up
- 15:10Speaker 2: here to Have Valley. That was let's see twenty the
- 15:14Speaker 2: end of twenty sixteen, so right when you know the
- 15:17Speaker 2: United States went down the shithole?
- 15:20Speaker 1: What do you mean? We are not a political podcare
- 15:24Speaker 1: is a lot of existential dread happening for me that year.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Moved back, moved back up to Le Valley, and I
- 15:32Speaker 2: still teach to the Bomb School. They're doing a lot
- 15:34Speaker 2: of renovation this year. They're building a whole new they
- 15:37Speaker 2: built a whole new addition on the building and renovating
- 15:40Speaker 2: all the old old classrooms and getting new equipment in there.
- 15:43Speaker 2: So I'm about ready to probably start teaching pretty soon
- 15:45Speaker 2: for the spring.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Very cool, Mato, what a resume. It's crazy, And there's
- 15:49Speaker 1: other stuff.
- 15:50Speaker 2: I probably forgot to even mention in there and you know,
- 15:52Speaker 2: here and there and everywhere.
- 15:53Speaker 1: And what was your favorite job? The most rewarding, probably teaching. Yeah. Yeah.
- 15:59Speaker 2: I also did some self publishing. I published my own
- 16:01Speaker 2: comics in the nineties. You know, I had aspirations to
- 16:05Speaker 2: get my stuff out there too. You know, I graduated
- 16:08Speaker 2: from high school. Is the most artistic. And when you
- 16:11Speaker 2: get like a scholarship, you know, to go to art school,
- 16:13Speaker 2: you get a big head and think.
- 16:14Speaker 1: That the world's your oyster. But you get out there
- 16:16Speaker 1: and it's a lot harder to be an artist. Yeah,
- 16:18Speaker 1: in the real world anything. But I you know, I
- 16:20Speaker 1: wanted to put my own stuff out there. And my
- 16:24Speaker 1: cartoons were always silly and Looney tunesy and ren stintpyish,
- 16:28Speaker 1: and you know, I grew up on Disney and the
- 16:30Speaker 1: Ninja Turtles and just you know, I wanted to produce
- 16:35Speaker 1: the kind of silly, ridiculous, muppety kind of stuff that
- 16:37Speaker 1: I grew up on, you know, And I had dreams
- 16:40Speaker 1: to do that.
- 16:40Speaker 2: And that was probably the most rewarding because it was
- 16:42Speaker 2: all me. It was like I wrote it and I
- 16:44Speaker 2: created it, and I did all the art, and I
- 16:46Speaker 2: have boxes and boxes of published stuff just sitting in
- 16:50Speaker 2: storage right now. But I really enjoyed doing the live
- 16:54Speaker 2: broadcast stuff for EA MMA. That was really exciting. They
- 16:58Speaker 2: kind of trusted me to do everything on the show
- 17:01Speaker 2: and kind of you know, create the content. And like
- 17:04Speaker 2: I said, I got the direct talent. I got the
- 17:06Speaker 2: direct you know, NFL players in the booth, you know,
- 17:10Speaker 2: doing audio stuff.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Put a lot of you in it, a lot of me,
- 17:13Speaker 1: you know.
- 17:13Speaker 2: And you know, when you when you're irreverent like I am,
- 17:16Speaker 2: and you're in your goofy like I am, you you
- 17:18Speaker 2: try to put as much personality in as you can
- 17:20Speaker 2: and and not make it dry and just strict.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Uh you know, yeah, the book kind of thing. So
- 17:27Speaker 1: you know, I I like variety. Well.
- 17:29Speaker 2: I think when you're drawing a picture for somebody, like
- 17:31Speaker 2: on a disney and you've drawn a little a kid
- 17:33Speaker 2: sitting in front of you, and it takes ten minutes,
- 17:35Speaker 2: and you're doing like a magic trick. You know, they
- 17:38Speaker 2: have a blank piece of paper and the family's behind
- 17:40Speaker 2: you and watching you, and the kid doesn't know what's
- 17:42Speaker 2: happening because they can't see the drawing you're doing. And
- 17:45Speaker 2: then you turn the picture to face them and they're
- 17:47Speaker 2: just like they light up like like you pull you know,
- 17:50Speaker 2: like you just it pulled a magic trick on them.
- 17:53Speaker 2: And it's just an amazing kind of thing to see
- 17:55Speaker 2: that their faces light up and get excited about art
- 17:57Speaker 2: and get excited about the things that they love, and
- 18:01Speaker 2: to see themselves as an animated character.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Like it's just it's that's rewarding too in its own way.
- 18:06Speaker 1: So do you in your free time find yourself like
- 18:09Speaker 1: sitting and being an artist if that makes sense, you know,
- 18:12Speaker 1: I mean, like, do you always do it there free time? Yeah?
- 18:15Speaker 2: Do you draw on your free time? I used to
- 18:16Speaker 2: do that a lot more Now I feel like I
- 18:18Speaker 2: draw more, like during class and stuff with the kids.
- 18:22Speaker 2: I like showing them that it's not as hard as
- 18:25Speaker 2: they think it is. I like, I like, you know,
- 18:28Speaker 2: demonstrating for the kids, or making little worksheets and stuff
- 18:31Speaker 2: for them, little blessing plans and stuff, and being creative
- 18:34Speaker 2: with them and asking them for feedback and brainstorm with
- 18:36Speaker 2: little kids because you get some really wild ideas and
- 18:39Speaker 2: you get they're kind of fearless at that age. I
- 18:41Speaker 2: teach seven, eight and nine year olds and it's fun
- 18:44Speaker 2: to be able to just sit there and come up
- 18:46Speaker 2: with a comic book idea with these kids. And I
- 18:50Speaker 2: used to just fill sketch books. Like when I was
- 18:52Speaker 2: working full time at Disney and I was sitting at
- 18:55Speaker 2: this at the easel in between guests that I would draw.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I would just draw for myself because part of it
- 19:00Speaker 2: is you want to draw and show people what you
- 19:02Speaker 2: can do. So you have work up on the easel
- 19:03Speaker 2: and you're working on big pictures. You know, I'm drawing
- 19:06Speaker 2: caricatures of celebrities and stuff just to kind of get
- 19:08Speaker 2: the them to notice me as they walk by. But
- 19:10Speaker 2: I was also filling sketch books NonStop. I was, you know,
- 19:13Speaker 2: creating little sketches and ideas and just jotting everything down.
- 19:17Speaker 2: And when you're in that mode, it's really easy to
- 19:19Speaker 2: stay in that mode. So, you know, drawing full time
- 19:22Speaker 2: for six years it was it was very easy for
- 19:25Speaker 2: me to enter that. So now then I'm older and
- 19:28Speaker 2: I'm doing it less, and then you get you see
- 19:30Speaker 2: stuff like AI taking over and like I said, the
- 19:33Speaker 2: existential dread, you know, of being fifty now and in
- 19:36Speaker 2: the country not being any better.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I feel like it's funny because I feel like as
- 19:42Speaker 1: a cartoonist I got to be in it.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I got to be in a happy mindset to draw
- 19:45Speaker 2: fun stuff. And I have the instinct to want to
- 19:51Speaker 2: draw political cartoons right now, and I want to have
- 19:54Speaker 2: the instinct to want to, like, you know, lampoon the
- 19:56Speaker 2: bullshit that I see. But also part of it is too,
- 19:59Speaker 2: like you put that stuff on social media and then
- 20:01Speaker 2: you're you know, you're going to get attacked by people
- 20:03Speaker 2: and you know, God knows, like are you going to
- 20:05Speaker 2: be on a watch list? You know, because you said
- 20:07Speaker 2: something that criticizes and so it's a little scarier. You know,
- 20:11Speaker 2: cartoonists are powerful, you know. You see political cartoons and
- 20:14Speaker 2: you see stuff that is out there really putting a
- 20:18Speaker 2: message across and really getting to the bottom of something
- 20:22Speaker 2: in in a fun way or a funny way, or
- 20:24Speaker 2: even like in a heartfelt way. I have seen some
- 20:26Speaker 2: cartoons lately that have just kind of blown my mind
- 20:29Speaker 2: and really, you know, strike a chord and it's not
- 20:33Speaker 2: just all funny, but sometimes it's really kind of you know,
- 20:36Speaker 2: the message is there.
- 20:36Speaker 1: And Joel had that caricature done, he didn't like the result.
- 20:41Speaker 1: How's the one you're working on today? Going? Are you
- 20:44Speaker 1: done already? H I did a couple of months. Wow,
- 20:48Speaker 1: all right, Joel, So that's pretty cool, it's pretty great.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I think I got a little bit of that sly
- 20:55Speaker 1: look on your face. You're not cross side look at you? Yeah,
- 21:00Speaker 1: looking all very much so not cross eyed. The other
- 21:02Speaker 1: thing I like is that you didn't include the mass
- 21:04Speaker 1: amounts of acne on my face. I had a giant
- 21:08Speaker 1: pimple on my face, a giant pimple right to the
- 21:11Speaker 1: left of my left eye when I got the first
- 21:13Speaker 1: caricorature done once't you know the dude, Gabe, I'm telling you,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I look like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer's long lost
- 21:20Speaker 1: cousin over there. It's never too late for me to
- 21:22Speaker 1: add that in there. Sorry, you're very interesting. We love
- 21:25Speaker 1: interesting guests, you know. It's funny. People ask me and
- 21:28Speaker 1: ask both of us all the time, what kind of
- 21:29Speaker 1: podcasts do you have? And it's hard to answer the
- 21:31Speaker 1: question because it is it a trivia podcast? Is it
- 21:35Speaker 1: a sit around and smoke weed podcast? I think it's
- 21:38Speaker 1: a people podcast. I want to hear from people. I'm
- 21:41Speaker 1: fascinated by people that have what I call a real job,
- 21:44Speaker 1: you know, do something more than talking to a microphone.
- 21:47Speaker 1: To live their life. I don't know if I've had
- 21:49Speaker 1: a real job in a long It sounds like a
- 21:51Speaker 1: lot of fun. Let's do some trivia, Travis. You're up
- 21:56Speaker 1: first with a rapid round. Let's get to it begins three.
- 22:05Speaker 1: All right, Travis wrapped around on a keyboard control and
- 22:08Speaker 1: v does what that would be pace? Yes? What is
- 22:14Speaker 1: the square root of eighty one nine? Got it? He
- 22:19Speaker 1: wouldn't have got that. That's what's measured on the enhanced
- 22:24Speaker 1: vegeta scale. Yeah, that did you say fagita scale? Is
- 22:28Speaker 1: that how it's pronounced fahda? That's what I was going
- 22:32Speaker 1: to show the spiciness of a fida. I know, what's
- 22:37Speaker 1: the opposite of a synonym? Antonym? Yes? What is the
- 22:42Speaker 1: name of Popeye's love interest Olive Oil? Yeah? What country
- 22:45Speaker 1: did the US gain independence from?
- 22:48Speaker 2: That would be Britain? Who wrote Hamlet Shakespeare? Yeah, my
- 22:52Speaker 2: favorite play.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Actually, fireworks were invented in what country? China? Yeah? What's
- 22:57Speaker 1: the capital of Canada?
- 23:00Speaker 2: Its provinces? So I really the capital of Canada? It
- 23:04Speaker 2: sounds like wah wahto. I did not know that. I
- 23:08Speaker 2: thought I thought there was different like provinces in Canada,
- 23:10Speaker 2: and they all had their own capital.
- 23:12Speaker 1: But I'm probably wrong. Did chetchipto right that I anyway,
- 23:19Speaker 1: what fruit is used to make wine? That's pretty easy, grapes,
- 23:21Speaker 1: but sometimes other stuff too. I mean bees make honey,
- 23:25Speaker 1: and that could be mcmead, which is a honey wine.
- 23:28Speaker 1: So it's not really a fruit. But is that what
- 23:30Speaker 1: meat is? I've heard of that. I love you tried
- 23:33Speaker 1: to explain it to me. It's fermented honey. It's great.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I love it. So it's honey alcohol. It's amazing it.
- 23:41Speaker 1: But does it have the consistency of honey? Like is
- 23:43Speaker 1: it gooey or is it like a liquid? It's just
- 23:44Speaker 1: really super sweet, but it's no, you need to try.
- 23:48Speaker 2: It's it's very old timy, like I do caricatures at
- 23:51Speaker 2: the Renaissance Festival and Sparking Jersey every September. And my
- 23:54Speaker 2: friend's an apiarist, which is a person who keeps bees
- 23:57Speaker 2: and she makes mead and it's awesome.
- 24:00Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 24:00Speaker 2: That's a great trivia question. What is a person that
- 24:02Speaker 2: keeps be apiarist? A P I A R I S T.
- 24:06Speaker 1: We've been trying to tell people this for a while now.
- 24:08Speaker 1: This is a very education and I learned a lot
- 24:11Speaker 1: listening to this podcast. I know a lot of the
- 24:13Speaker 1: useless bullshit. Let me tell you, you learn a lot
- 24:15Speaker 1: on this podcast, but not from either one of us.
- 24:18Speaker 1: It's from the guest or from the trivia. So thanks
- 24:20Speaker 1: for being heir. Ottawa is the capital of Canady. Yeah?
- 24:23Speaker 1: What else? All right? How do you people know that
- 24:26Speaker 1: the square root of eighty one is nine? How do
- 24:28Speaker 1: you have this ship memorized? I don't. I don't understand
- 24:30Speaker 1: how square roots work. It's three times three. It's the
- 24:33Speaker 1: same number of times itself. Yep, eighty one is nine
- 24:36Speaker 1: times nine is eighty one. I'm so confused by that.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I have no idea how that works. I just told
- 24:40Speaker 1: you it's pretty easy, and I'm never going to understand that. Ever.
- 24:43Speaker 1: She's got a finger. You got to callen more fans,
- 24:47Speaker 1: use your calell right now. What's measured on the enhanced
- 24:49Speaker 1: is this? How you say it? No? Fujida fajita scalea
- 24:56Speaker 1: enhanced pajita scale. It's pronounced fajitas, is it it is?
- 25:04Speaker 1: Here's a hint, with the highest rating being e F five.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Tornadoes tornadoes another confusing question. Opposite of synonym an antonym?
- 25:20Speaker 1: The name of Popeye's love interest. I never would have
- 25:22Speaker 1: gotten I'll blow me down. Wow, multii Wow. I don't
- 25:29Speaker 1: know if I've ever watched an episode of What's Hopping? Popeye? Ever? YadA? Yeah? Yeah,
- 25:35Speaker 1: gets done? And watch up one time? It's pretty good. Well,
- 25:37Speaker 1: you know I said I had the edible the other night.
- 25:39Speaker 1: You know what movie was on TV? And I sat
- 25:41Speaker 1: and watched like twenty minutes. It's about a kid in
- 25:45Speaker 1: like the forties that has this thing with a little deer.
- 25:50Speaker 1: You ever hear of this movie comes off the wrong way?
- 25:52Speaker 1: Is I think a little? No?
- 25:54Speaker 3: No?
- 25:55Speaker 1: But I was doing not a political show. No, no,
- 25:58Speaker 1: he like befriends this a little deer? Wait? Is the
- 26:01Speaker 1: movie from the forties or yes? Yes, yes? But is
- 26:04Speaker 1: it called yes? Yes? Yes? Damn I'm good. You are good? Yes,
- 26:08Speaker 1: you're very good. Well.
- 26:09Speaker 2: I used to work at Blockbuster Video and sun Coast Video.
- 26:13Speaker 2: So did you get to experience those not the sunk
- 26:17Speaker 2: you're a kid? I was at Blockbuster a bunch of
- 26:19Speaker 2: I remember my age. Is that how you met my
- 26:21Speaker 2: friend Mark? Tropic Markers. Yeah, he's Mark's boss, That's right.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I kind of remember this now in the day. Yeah,
- 26:28Speaker 2: Tropical Mark We call him. He comes in the podcast,
- 26:30Speaker 2: we talk about trouble with him. So, yeah, I got
- 26:31Speaker 2: a lot of my cinematic education working at Blockbusters coast
- 26:35Speaker 2: over the years.
- 26:35Speaker 1: See I am old enough. You people make fun of
- 26:37Speaker 1: me that I'm too young, but I like, remember the
- 26:40Speaker 1: smell of a Blockbuster. Oh, it's a very distinct smell.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Nasty carpet. Is that what the smell is though? Nasty carpet,
- 26:48Speaker 1: buttered popcorn, Buttered popcorn, nasty carpet. Yeah, and dust would
- 26:52Speaker 1: I've never gotten dust. I know a lot of people
- 26:54Speaker 1: that would go to Blockbuster just to get their popcorn
- 26:56Speaker 1: to take it home. That's what they used to do
- 26:58Speaker 1: back then. And I don't think I ever got their popcorn.
- 27:00Speaker 1: I always got Twizzlers. I was a Twizzlers guy. But anyway, Yeah,
- 27:03Speaker 1: I was a Blockbuster employee for many years. How about
- 27:05Speaker 1: that long time? Seems like a fun job. More wrapid around?
- 27:09Speaker 1: What country did the US gain independence from England? Who
- 27:12Speaker 1: wrote Hamlet? Shakespeare? Which one is Hamlet? That's the one
- 27:17Speaker 1: where the Prince of Denmark finds out that his dad's
- 27:20Speaker 1: killed and the ghost of his dad comes and says,
- 27:23Speaker 1: it was your uncle. It's it's Lion King. It's basically
- 27:27Speaker 1: lion king.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Oh I heard about the uncles comparison the dad and
- 27:30Speaker 2: takes over the kingdom. And it's all about the son
- 27:32Speaker 2: who has to come out of exile and and you know,
- 27:37Speaker 2: get retribution for his for his father's wrongful deaths.
- 27:39Speaker 1: I feel like I was forced to read that in
- 27:41Speaker 1: high school and didn't. That was probably the research paper
- 27:44Speaker 1: I paid three hundred dollars for and got a sea
- 27:46Speaker 1: and everybody dies at the end of everybody gets killed.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Good to know, thank you for ruining it's hamlet. It's
- 27:52Speaker 1: been out for hundreds of year. Come on, fireworks invented
- 27:55Speaker 1: in China. How'd you know that? I just knew. I
- 27:58Speaker 1: just I knew. They invented a lot of shit. They
- 28:00Speaker 1: do that, the Chinese people, they have done everything.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Noodles probably you know, gunpowder, So that's where the whole
- 28:07Speaker 2: fireworks thing comes from. If you ever watch Mulan, you'll see, uh,
- 28:11Speaker 2: there's fireworks and there's explosives and stuff.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I've never seen it, Alan, I never did, never seen alone.
- 28:16Speaker 1: They like to blow up back in the take each
- 28:19Speaker 1: other's ask the blow stuff on Capital of Canada, Ottawa.
- 28:22Speaker 1: The fruit that used to make wine grapes. You do
- 28:24Speaker 1: really good with the rapid round. Wow, I'm impressed. I
- 28:27Speaker 1: know a lot less the man of many tall. You
- 28:29Speaker 1: ever go to a trivia night and just tear it up?
- 28:30Speaker 1: I have done that, Yes, I want. Yeah, the questions
- 28:34Speaker 1: aren't that great? Steel Pub? I do it at Steel
- 28:37Speaker 1: Pub and Bethlehem on First Street there every Tuesday. Yeah,
- 28:40Speaker 1: coo cool my trivia. You don't go to my trivia night.
- 28:44Speaker 1: To my trivia night is not for the people that
- 28:47Speaker 1: are very good at trivia. It's for the people that
- 28:49Speaker 1: want to sit around and have a good time on
- 28:50Speaker 1: a Tuesday.
- 28:52Speaker 2: It's like, focus on your drinking. This will also be
- 28:55Speaker 2: you know, on your Tuesday, focus on your drinking.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Honestly, but nothing, nothing bothers me more than once like
- 29:01Speaker 1: the Betty better than yous every week that come up
- 29:03Speaker 1: and are like, actually your question, but will your answers listen?
- 29:09Speaker 1: Go away? Please go away?
- 29:11Speaker 2: Well, since you guys both come from you know the
- 29:13Speaker 2: world of radio, you probably have a lot of music
- 29:15Speaker 2: trivia that.
- 29:16Speaker 1: You I'm not good at it. I've never retained a
- 29:18Speaker 1: lot of that information. Oh God, love music, and oh god,
- 29:21Speaker 1: why what questions do you have today? I don't want
- 29:24Speaker 1: to do. I'm not even good as I'm sitting here
- 29:27Speaker 1: pulling questions because again, I've hosted trivia now once a
- 29:30Speaker 1: week for like six years of my life now, So
- 29:33Speaker 1: I have a folder of just questions and questions, questions,
- 29:36Speaker 1: and I'm finding all these very basic music questions and
- 29:39Speaker 1: I'm thinking to myself, Okay, he has to know this.
- 29:43Speaker 1: So I pulled one today that like, you better get right.
- 29:45Speaker 1: But let me ask you one that I didn't pull
- 29:48Speaker 1: that I should have, Like, I hope you know this,
- 29:51Speaker 1: like it's the name of a person I'm never gonna
- 29:53Speaker 1: I'm not good at all the fucking names. I've never
- 29:55Speaker 1: been good at. Bob Seeger's backup band is called what
- 29:59Speaker 1: the Silver Bullet Band? Okay, good, all right? Good? Like
- 30:02Speaker 1: see thank god? You know that that's very bad. There's
- 30:04Speaker 1: a Bob Seger like trivia going on. I was going
- 30:06Speaker 1: to say, we should go to that show. It's happening
- 30:08Speaker 1: at the Steel Pub. I think, is it really getting
- 30:10Speaker 1: a lot of love on this podcast today? Wow, there's
- 30:13Speaker 1: these TikTokers that I know a thing that might be wrong,
- 30:16Speaker 1: but yeah, there's these TikTokers that I follow. They go
- 30:19Speaker 1: around and they discover if it's a segar bar, so
- 30:22Speaker 1: they see that, they going to any random bar, they
- 30:25Speaker 1: get a beer. And then if there's a jukebox, if
- 30:28Speaker 1: it has Bob Seger on it, well then it's a
- 30:30Speaker 1: segar bar. And they go around for all these bars
- 30:33Speaker 1: and you'd be amazed, and a lot of these juke
- 30:35Speaker 1: boxes don't have Bob Sugar on huh, not even turn
- 30:38Speaker 1: the page.
- 30:38Speaker 2: I mean, that's like, that's the worst Bob Sugar So
- 30:41Speaker 2: it's probably Metallica version though that's even.
- 30:44Speaker 1: That that's a bad I'm very opinionated with my here's
- 30:47Speaker 1: a problem with that song too. It's too fucking long.
- 30:49Speaker 1: It goes on all day. That's seven minutes of turn
- 30:52Speaker 1: the page. Yeah, that also bothers me if he does
- 30:56Speaker 1: that turn the page jas it goes on all damn day. Yeah,
- 31:06Speaker 1: do random thoughts, but we always kind of went into it.
- 31:08Speaker 1: And again I say it every week. This whole podcast
- 31:11Speaker 1: is really one big random thought. True. Anyway, we're gonna
- 31:14Speaker 1: press the button now for it. Okay, blazed and confused
- 31:18Speaker 1: random thoughts. You know, I famously lose the weed pen
- 31:25Speaker 1: like the weed vape, and I just bought a new
- 31:27Speaker 1: one only a couple of weeks ago, lost it. Well,
- 31:30Speaker 1: I found it today. You know where it was. I
- 31:32Speaker 1: go to put on these pants today, to in my
- 31:34Speaker 1: pocket of these pants, Thank god I didn't wash them.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I think that they should make a tracker, Like we've
- 31:41Speaker 1: come so far with technology. There should be a tracker
- 31:44Speaker 1: in your weed pen. How many times have you lost it?
- 31:47Speaker 1: A lot? There should be an app on your phone
- 31:49Speaker 1: that you go on your phone, you press the button,
- 31:51Speaker 1: just like an air tag, and it goes famous for
- 31:54Speaker 1: like getting one, like a brand new one and days later,
- 31:56Speaker 1: Oh my god, yeah, all the time. I was in
- 31:58Speaker 1: California one that day. Two hours later we went out
- 32:02Speaker 1: to eat and I think I left it at the restaurant. Yeah,
- 32:05Speaker 1: man went back gone. Of course it was happens anyway,
- 32:09Speaker 1: free price for someone else. But anyway, we just wrapped out,
- 32:12Speaker 1: wrapped up Valentine's Day. You know, a dozen roses right now, dude?
- 32:15Speaker 1: The average price ninety three dollars and seven cents for
- 32:19Speaker 1: a dozen roses, lot of sixteen percent from three years
- 32:22Speaker 1: ago ninety dollars for twelve road three dollars and seven cents.
- 32:25Speaker 1: The average price for a dozen roses back in the day,
- 32:28Speaker 1: I remember getting them for like my girlfriend in high school,
- 32:30Speaker 1: and it was like twelve ninety nine.
- 32:32Speaker 2: You get them at the gas station on the way there, right,
- 32:35Speaker 2: ninety dollars. I'll tell you what I know, Target, you
- 32:38Speaker 2: could probably I think Target was a lot cheaper. Target
- 32:40Speaker 2: was like twenty bucks for like.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Really yeah, but the hell was spending ninety bucks on
- 32:44Speaker 1: twelve roses? Where did that fact come from? Can you
- 32:46Speaker 1: cite your source? It was on NBC? Wow, Well, depending
- 32:50Speaker 1: on who you mean, you mean ms LSD.
- 32:54Speaker 2: It was probably only at Florist's, right, I mean they
- 32:57Speaker 2: probably just get in the average price of lanba, like
- 33:00Speaker 2: at a small business. You can go to a grocery
- 33:02Speaker 2: store in roses for sure. They die so fast though,
- 33:06Speaker 2: ninety three dollars?
- 33:06Speaker 1: What else? What could you spend your money on? What
- 33:08Speaker 1: would you spend rather spend ninety three dollars on? You
- 33:10Speaker 1: could do? You can get a good tank of gas,
- 33:13Speaker 1: get a meal, a decent meal for sure. People, Yeah,
- 33:15Speaker 1: drinks and gas. You can get a steak and gas
- 33:19Speaker 1: ninety three bucks anyway, geez, random thoughts. I got my
- 33:23Speaker 1: dog groom the other day. How do people cut their
- 33:26Speaker 1: dogs nails? I don't think I'm ever going to be
- 33:29Speaker 1: able to do it. It's torture, right is because she's
- 33:32Speaker 1: so like, no, I do no. Honestly, she would probably
- 33:37Speaker 1: let me do it. I don't trust myself to do it.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Do you know how dog nails works? Yeah, there like
- 33:41Speaker 1: that little like quick pink is that what it's called,
- 33:43Speaker 1: the pink thing that sticks out like a vein kind,
- 33:45Speaker 1: It's like a little bloodvessel. It's a little blood vessel
- 33:47Speaker 1: and if you hit it, even the slightest bit, if
- 33:49Speaker 1: you nick it, they'll bleed and bleed and bleed and
- 33:51Speaker 1: bleed and bled and that's why they decide they want
- 33:53Speaker 1: to run around the house then too. And I'm never no,
- 33:56Speaker 1: I'm never doing it again. So it's been a really
- 33:58Speaker 1: long time. The last time my dog got groomed was
- 34:01Speaker 1: in September. Okay, now February, the last time that her
- 34:06Speaker 1: nails were cut. Practically, we're in September and uh it's
- 34:11Speaker 1: now February and I'm looking at her nails. I'm like,
- 34:13Speaker 1: oh god, they're getting really long. I got an The
- 34:15Speaker 1: other thing, you're not walking your dog when it's two
- 34:18Speaker 1: degrees outside. Naturally, Lucy hates going outside anyway, so she
- 34:21Speaker 1: really doesn't you know he's an indoors. That sounds bad
- 34:25Speaker 1: to say. She's asp No, so's your dog high right
- 34:30Speaker 1: now speaking to Aspca, Dude. I go to get her
- 34:34Speaker 1: groom this week. The groomer is like, oh, these nails
- 34:38Speaker 1: are really long. Oh my, oh god, oh god. And
- 34:42Speaker 1: then when I went to pick her up, I was
- 34:44Speaker 1: a name is Freddy. I was all worried about how
- 34:49Speaker 1: she was gonna be and the groomer at the end
- 34:52Speaker 1: was like, oh, she did okay. She was a little
- 34:56Speaker 1: weird about the nails, but then once she realized that
- 34:58Speaker 1: it felt so much better when her nails were cut,
- 35:01Speaker 1: then she was cool within them. But she really made
- 35:03Speaker 1: me feel like that's some passive aggressive shit. I felt bad.
- 35:07Speaker 1: So now it's like, what am I supposed to make
- 35:09Speaker 1: an appointment every freaking three three and a half weeks
- 35:12Speaker 1: or whatever for my dog to get her nails cut? Like,
- 35:15Speaker 1: it's just what I have to do.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I don't know the rule responsibility and stuff about it.
- 35:21Speaker 2: You gotta paint them too, you gotta get them all painted.
- 35:24Speaker 2: The next time I come over, I want to see
- 35:25Speaker 2: you put a little polish on those claws.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Here this Lucy, we're talking about you. You look good,
- 35:30Speaker 1: though she does. She looks put together anyway. Random thoughts.
- 35:34Speaker 1: I keep getting shipped for liking milk. Do people like
- 35:37Speaker 1: not like milk anymore? Like? Is it weird that I
- 35:39Speaker 1: order a glass of milk with my breakfast? And you know,
- 35:41Speaker 1: like if I go out to eat or something, I
- 35:43Speaker 1: like milk. I don't know if i'd order at a restaurant,
- 35:44Speaker 1: but why it's there, It's for sale, it's on the menu.
- 35:48Speaker 2: I put it in my coffee every day because I
- 35:51Speaker 2: don't like creamer necessarily it's too chemically.
- 35:53Speaker 1: But I like just regular milk in my coffee. I
- 35:55Speaker 1: love cereal. You gotta put on your cereal. Cereal for sure. Honestly,
- 35:58Speaker 1: every time I buy milk, I end up throwing away
- 36:01Speaker 1: half of it. It never works. Yeah, it never works.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Never works. I don't think I drank a full glass
- 36:06Speaker 1: of milk in a long time. I milk. I like
- 36:10Speaker 1: to buy the white milk and then put the nest
- 36:12Speaker 1: quick like powdery stuff in it. You know, you mix
- 36:16Speaker 1: it up. When I was younger, my parents had to
- 36:17Speaker 1: get me my own milk because I drank so much milk.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Do you remember the milk Challenge? Is this ring a
- 36:22Speaker 1: bell when you just chug like a gallon. This was
- 36:26Speaker 1: really popular when I was in high school. And you know,
- 36:30Speaker 1: just a year you take it. You take a gallon
- 36:32Speaker 1: of milk and you stand there and you chug it,
- 36:34Speaker 1: and it makes you It makes you hurl, it makes
- 36:36Speaker 1: you bar Is that what they.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Do it when you call poison control if they tell
- 36:39Speaker 2: you to drink milk like to chug milk. Didn't really,
- 36:42Speaker 2: I didn't know that it coats your stomach. Interesting educational podcast.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I don't quote me on that. I'm not you know,
- 36:49Speaker 1: maybe I am not a doctor or no doctor were doctor. Now.
- 36:52Speaker 1: I remember in high school, like there was kids would
- 36:55Speaker 1: get in trouble for it because for a while, like
- 36:58Speaker 1: kids would stand up but they would bring a wan
- 37:00Speaker 1: a milk in a class and hide it in their
- 37:01Speaker 1: backpack and then in the middle of class stand up
- 37:04Speaker 1: in their Yeah, well the wonder they puked it was
- 37:07Speaker 1: sitting here, freaking bag bag.
- 37:09Speaker 2: I'll tell you, as a father, there's nothing worse than
- 37:11Speaker 2: the smell of a sippy cup that has been under
- 37:13Speaker 2: your car seat for like a month. It turns in
- 37:18Speaker 2: the cottage and you're like, what, oh, that's what that
- 37:20Speaker 2: sippy cup went and then you open it up and
- 37:22Speaker 2: it's like, you know, like all coagulated in the sun,
- 37:25Speaker 2: like that word coagulated in the smell, just like it'll
- 37:29Speaker 2: peel paint. It's disgusting.
- 37:31Speaker 1: The Steak and Shake thing. Random thoughts, This is funny.
- 37:33Speaker 1: So Steak and Shake came out. I've never had steak
- 37:36Speaker 1: and shake? Have you had sick shure? They came out
- 37:38Speaker 1: what like a week ago now, and they said that
- 37:40Speaker 1: they're removing microwaves from their restaurant. At first though I
- 37:45Speaker 1: read this and I thought they're removing microwaves. My first
- 37:48Speaker 1: thought was do they have like a like a microwave
- 37:52Speaker 1: like in the in the restaurant that people can use
- 37:54Speaker 1: to reheat their food like a hotel microwave hotel breakfast nook.
- 37:59Speaker 1: And you can read, But then the more you read
- 38:02Speaker 1: on it's like, no, no, no, did they used the
- 38:04Speaker 1: microwave to cook the food? Food? A lot of it anyway? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 38:08Speaker 1: why admit that? I don't know? And now they expect
- 38:12Speaker 1: every location to have a to be microwave free by
- 38:15Speaker 1: April fifteenth, and they said quality restaurants don't need microwaves.
- 38:21Speaker 1: But that's like admitting your restaurant was never quality. It
- 38:25Speaker 1: was never a quality restaurant. If they want to go
- 38:27Speaker 1: out and try stake and shake. But I think working
- 38:30Speaker 1: in Friendly is I remember, like as a weight staff,
- 38:32Speaker 1: when you get really busy, like as your food's sitting
- 38:34Speaker 1: on back there by the grill, you know, food's up.
- 38:37Speaker 1: You know they ding the ding, they ding the bell,
- 38:39Speaker 1: and they put your ticket in the front, and so
- 38:41Speaker 1: you coming pick up your food and bring into the guests.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Like there's times where it might have sat there for
- 38:44Speaker 1: a little too long and then they got pop out
- 38:46Speaker 1: of microwave. I guess I don't remember ever doing that,
- 38:49Speaker 1: but I think you get I remember doing that. I
- 38:51Speaker 1: worked at a diner. We definitely did that. We definitely
- 38:54Speaker 1: did that. Pick that liver up off the floor and
- 38:56Speaker 1: furn of them liver and onions. I can't believe we
- 39:00Speaker 1: may liver in onions at Friendlies for the old people.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Believe anybody was on the senior menu, the senior menu disgusting.
- 39:06Speaker 1: It smelt so bad, all right. I said earlier that
- 39:08Speaker 1: Friendly is catered to old people and children, and Joel's
- 39:12Speaker 1: kind of like both of those.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Facts optional flass karanteed so blazed and Confused Podcast with
- 39:23Speaker 3: Becker and Joel.
- 39:24Speaker 1: All Right, who's going first this week? I'll go first.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Question number one? Alright, trivia time. What is the only
- 39:33Speaker 1: state whose capital has three words in it? Now we
- 39:37Speaker 1: come to you once for a lifeline direct capital has
- 39:39Speaker 1: three words in it? It's one state capital has three
- 39:44Speaker 1: words in it. Man, we had to learn all the
- 39:46Speaker 1: states and capitals in the fourth grade, and on the
- 39:49Speaker 1: long list of things I don't remember that's on there.
- 39:53Speaker 1: You know, I know a couple of the capitals, but
- 39:56Speaker 1: which ones do you know? Harrisburg, Trenton, uh, Sacramento, Calahassi.
- 40:05Speaker 1: I just start yelling out as pretty well, you're doing
- 40:08Speaker 1: better than I thought. I'm doing well. I made to
- 40:12Speaker 1: go Yeah, really, Honolulu, I've been there. Anchorage is at
- 40:18Speaker 1: the capital of Alaska. Ankriage, I think so des Moines. Okay,
- 40:25Speaker 1: des Moines. That's two words that Iowa. Nebraska is Lincoln.
- 40:29Speaker 1: That's not three words. Is it a Saint Saint blah
- 40:36Speaker 1: blah blah, No three? I have no idea. I'm not
- 40:42Speaker 1: going to go to my lifeline on the first question.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I got it wrong. Damn New York City.
- 40:48Speaker 1: I thought Albany was the capital in New York, is it? Yeah,
- 40:52Speaker 1: the capital of New York is oh no, no, no, no,
- 40:55Speaker 1: yeah yeah, New York is almany al but's I saw
- 41:02Speaker 1: it on a trivia thing. Then they were wrong. It's
- 41:04Speaker 1: it might be the city that Never sleeps and it's
- 41:06Speaker 1: the big Apple, but it is not the capital. I'm looking.
- 41:09Speaker 2: New York is definitely all but and it's more central.
- 41:11Speaker 2: That's why they chose it, like Lansing is Michigan and
- 41:13Speaker 2: not Detroit. You know, oh shit, you're.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Right, it's not Philip It's not Philadelphia. Trivia thing, do
- 41:19Speaker 1: you think about it? We have to news, my big news.
- 41:24Speaker 1: We have to retract all our previous comments about how
- 41:27Speaker 1: educational this podcast is. Trust the liberal media. Here. Okay, boy,
- 41:31Speaker 1: you're on a roll. You want to give me another
- 41:33Speaker 1: bullshit question? Here? Here we go.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Question two.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Good. I just got a text message that says, just
- 41:39Speaker 1: witnessed a lady walking her her cat's off leash.
- 41:44Speaker 2: You had like three cats and she was walking with them.
- 41:46Speaker 2: What's weirder though, watching somebody walk their cats on a leash.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Or off leash. You're right, maybe she was being harassed
- 41:52Speaker 1: by feral cats and that wasn't really hers. What is
- 41:54Speaker 1: the science of living organisms called do you have a lifeline?
- 42:02Speaker 1: The science of living organisms? I do know the biology, Yeah,
- 42:06Speaker 1: biology almost you got it. That was an easy one.
- 42:08Speaker 1: You know why I know that? Why I took biology
- 42:11Speaker 1: like eight times. You weren't that good at it? No,
- 42:13Speaker 1: it was not.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Well.
- 42:14Speaker 1: When I was in school, they passed this law. It
- 42:17Speaker 1: might still be a law. Do you remember taking the
- 42:19Speaker 1: Keystone tests? Yeah? Yeah? Was that a standard standardized test?
- 42:23Speaker 1: Like you started as like the p S sas and
- 42:25Speaker 1: the state standardized test. Well, they made it some fucking
- 42:28Speaker 1: rule when I was in school that you had to
- 42:31Speaker 1: pass the state test to like graduate, like they made
- 42:34Speaker 1: it a graduation requirement. I took this fucking test like
- 42:38Speaker 1: eighty times, dude. I was in this class called Biology Remediation,
- 42:43Speaker 1: Keystone Remediation, where you would just have to sit there
- 42:46Speaker 1: and study bio awful.
- 42:48Speaker 2: By the end of it, you could you could say, like,
- 42:50Speaker 2: well that tadhole became a fraud, became a butterfly.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Couldn't do any didn't even do that. I was not
- 42:57Speaker 1: a math and science guy. This one's math question coming
- 43:01Speaker 1: up here, So let's go to that one. Question three,
- 43:05Speaker 1: all right, twelve is what percent of forty eight. I
- 43:11Speaker 1: don't know. We already went to you for a lifeline,
- 43:13Speaker 1: so don't you No, No, he didn't technically, I got
- 43:16Speaker 1: no right anyway. No, I just happened to fact check
- 43:19Speaker 1: your bullshit. Yeah, thank you, which, by the way, I
- 43:21Speaker 1: thank thank you for doing that. If you weren't here.
- 43:24Speaker 1: I don't know if I definitely know that Albany is
- 43:26Speaker 1: the capital. Probably No, No, I don't know. If I
- 43:29Speaker 1: wouldn't have caught it though, you wouldn't have called it
- 43:30Speaker 1: out all right now, and then we would have really
- 43:32Speaker 1: sounded stupid. Twelve is what percent of forty eight? I
- 43:40Speaker 1: have no idea. How many twelves do you need to
- 43:42Speaker 1: get to forty eight? Here's my question? Who cares? Really?
- 43:48Speaker 1: When we're great?
- 43:49Speaker 3: No?
- 43:49Speaker 1: Really? And in the real world, when are you ever
- 43:51Speaker 1: posed with that situation? Oh? Well, what's twelve percent of
- 43:55Speaker 1: your mom? God, what's your guess? Percent of what forty eight? Yeah?
- 44:02Speaker 2: No, twelve is what percent of forty eight? I know
- 44:04Speaker 2: the answer, but I do you want to waste the lifeline?
- 44:07Speaker 2: That's you know the answer.
- 44:09Speaker 1: I do know the answer. This is already question three.
- 44:12Speaker 1: All right, yeah, I'll go to you.
- 44:13Speaker 2: Well, twelve is one quarter of forty eight, which would
- 44:18Speaker 2: make it twenty five percent correct.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Five percent right? Why is my dog like climbing on you?
- 44:26Speaker 1: I'm happy that it's happening. She's chilling by me. She
- 44:29Speaker 1: doesn't usually do that. No, but she was like jumping
- 44:31Speaker 1: up on you. I saw because I saw her a
- 44:32Speaker 1: little head peeking out her jail's going to she look
- 44:36Speaker 1: at her. Wow the progress, Oh my progress. Look at
- 44:40Speaker 1: you finally, Oh my god, I'm so happy right now?
- 44:43Speaker 1: Do you have like this is the closest she's ever
- 44:45Speaker 1: been to me? Without me How I was stopping you.
- 44:47Speaker 1: I was gonna say, do you a beef jerky in
- 44:48Speaker 1: your pocket? No, I don't think so. Edibles in your
- 44:51Speaker 1: And that'd be funny if I had beef jerky in
- 44:52Speaker 1: my pocket, I'd make it sound like my dog is Kouzio.
- 44:55Speaker 1: No you do well, she's yeah, no, no, no, well, no,
- 45:00Speaker 1: she's feeling good with her new nails over there. Look
- 45:01Speaker 1: at her telling you question for which country shares its
- 45:07Speaker 1: name with a US state? There's a state in the
- 45:11Speaker 1: United States. And also sure about this, mister geography, I
- 45:15Speaker 1: do know the answer to this one. Well, okay, say
- 45:17Speaker 1: it again, say it again? Which country shares its name
- 45:21Speaker 1: with a US state. So there's a US state name
- 45:24Speaker 1: that is shared by a country. What country shares its
- 45:27Speaker 1: name with the US state? I don't know, Hell, I
- 45:37Speaker 1: really don't know. Well, let me ask you this. When
- 45:39Speaker 1: you give me the answer, am I going to be like, Oh, yeah,
- 45:42Speaker 1: that's a country or is it a country that I
- 45:43Speaker 1: don't know? It's a country, you know what? I like,
- 45:46Speaker 1: dumb Stan or something, Georgia, Russia, Soviet Yeah, yeah, somewhere
- 45:56Speaker 1: that one. That's that's a pretty good question. All right, Again,
- 45:59Speaker 1: you share about that one you want to google just
- 46:01Speaker 1: to make sure. No, all right, let's see what bullshit
- 46:06Speaker 1: you have for me. Let's see what fake news I
- 46:08Speaker 1: could come up with. There we go, question number one.
- 46:14Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna start with airports. If you landed
- 46:18Speaker 1: at George HW Bush inter Continental Airport, what city would
- 46:24Speaker 1: you be in? Also, I want to know what's the
- 46:29Speaker 1: difference between an intercontinental airport and an international airport? Is that?
- 46:34Speaker 1: Is there a difference?
- 46:37Speaker 2: Uh? Maybe one flies the Antarctica is Australia, because that
- 46:42Speaker 2: wouldn't be that wouldn't be a nation, right, so international?
- 46:46Speaker 1: Oh true? Could be if you landed at Georgia. Yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 1: it's a really good point. I guess HW is not
- 46:51Speaker 1: in this. So if you landed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport,
- 46:56Speaker 1: what city would you be in? I feel like it's
- 46:57Speaker 1: in Dallas? Is it Dalla?
- 46:59Speaker 3: Now?
- 47:02Speaker 1: I feel like it's in Texas. I would feel I
- 47:04Speaker 1: tend to agree, even though I don't know the answer.
- 47:06Speaker 1: I mean that would make sense. Houston. I'm gonna go
- 47:07Speaker 1: with Houston. The bushes are from Texas and Houston is correct. Wow,
- 47:15Speaker 1: I mean, I hope this is a great day. Your
- 47:17Speaker 1: dog's right next to me. For some unknown reason, I
- 47:21Speaker 1: got that one right. I'm gonna drew your picture. Yeah,
- 47:24Speaker 1: I got a picture. I mean this is a great day.
- 47:26Speaker 1: All right, here we go.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Question two?
- 47:32Speaker 1: All right, music, So like a basic question. How you
- 47:35Speaker 1: knew that Sober Bullet Band is Bob Seeker's backing band?
- 47:37Speaker 1: So I hope you know this all right? What band
- 47:41Speaker 1: was featured making a new record in the famous Saturday
- 47:45Speaker 1: Night Live more cow Bell skit? Oh God, I have
- 47:53Speaker 1: a fever. I'm more cowbell? What band was featured making
- 47:58Speaker 1: a new record and the famous Saturday Night Live more
- 48:02Speaker 1: cow Bell skid? I'm trying to hear it Will Ferrell
- 48:06Speaker 1: with a shirt up and banging on that cowboy. He
- 48:11Speaker 1: took his headphones off because the music must be bothering. Yeah,
- 48:15Speaker 1: let's turn it up, dick. Oh man, I'm gonna go
- 48:21Speaker 1: with my lifeline because I want to say the Rolling Stones,
- 48:24Speaker 1: but I don't think that's right. I wish I would.
- 48:28Speaker 1: I don't know. I cannot think of it. Yeah, you
- 48:30Speaker 1: know the answer, and so is the rest of the
- 48:32Speaker 1: civilized world. Up. The song was Don't Fear the Reaper
- 48:35Speaker 1: by Blue Oys. Oh yeah, I wouldn't. That's not in
- 48:39Speaker 1: my brain. I do it.
- 48:42Speaker 2: You got me?
- 48:42Speaker 1: Yeah, congratulations, Yeah, thank you very much. Checking question three,
- 48:49Speaker 1: All right, let's go with board games. But I ask
- 48:55Speaker 1: you about a game I've never played once in my
- 48:57Speaker 1: life and probably never will because you have to know
- 48:59Speaker 1: how to freaking spell? Who decided that that was fun?
- 49:04Speaker 1: In the game of scrabble? What two letters are worth
- 49:08Speaker 1: the most points? Is it z and q?
- 49:14Speaker 2: Z and q?
- 49:15Speaker 1: All right? Wow? Like way too good? Are these too easy?
- 49:22Speaker 1: I mean I knew them well, he knew the one.
- 49:24Speaker 1: I didn't know that one man. Question for twenty what
- 49:31Speaker 1: all right license plates? License plates? On what state's license
- 49:36Speaker 1: plate would you see the words Grand Canyon state. Oh,
- 49:43Speaker 1: where's the Grand Canyon? That would give it away? Nevada?
- 49:49Speaker 1: Is that where it's at? Is that wrong? I feel
- 49:55Speaker 1: like that might be wrong. That's where Vegas is. Have
- 50:00Speaker 1: you ever been in the Grand Canyon? No, not yet, someday.
- 50:04Speaker 1: I can't figure out where it is. That's probably why
- 50:05Speaker 1: I can't go. I was just sick for the past week.
- 50:09Speaker 1: I told you so. I've been watching The Brady Bunch. Yeah,
- 50:11Speaker 1: they got three whole episodes at the Grand Canyon. Yeah. Man,
- 50:15Speaker 1: that was a good show. I love the Brady Bunch.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Where is the Grand Canyon at? Technically, I guess I'm
- 50:20Speaker 1: gonna my guess is Nevada. I'm gonna go with Nevada.
- 50:23Speaker 1: I don't think it's right though. What else is over there?
- 50:26Speaker 1: Dakota one of the Dakota Dakota.
- 50:30Speaker 2: I want to I want to give you a hit
- 50:31Speaker 2: and say, think desert. Ye, yeah, East Dakota. I think desert, desert.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Arizona, then Arizona.
- 50:41Speaker 2: You know what?
- 50:42Speaker 1: Enough with the heads come on, all right, right, all right?
- 50:52Speaker 1: She marked at me. She was like me again, can
- 50:55Speaker 1: you stop with the fixation with my dog? I went
- 50:58Speaker 1: over there that she wants what's like, what's going on?
- 51:01Speaker 1: Maybe the garbage? Yeah, all that garbage that's under your desk,
- 51:04Speaker 1: garbage where where I should probably a section of garbage. Yeah,
- 51:10Speaker 1: there's a lot of soda cans in there, oscar, the
- 51:14Speaker 1: grouches under there, scraam. That was pretty good trivia. Are
- 51:19Speaker 1: we done? I mean I gave you four questions. I
- 51:21Speaker 1: like when we did the sound of four twenty and
- 51:25Speaker 1: you went, we're pretty clever on it. We are, We're
- 51:27Speaker 1: very clever. It was an educational podcast until becker Head
- 51:31Speaker 1: fake news. Well that happened a couple of times. Listen,
- 51:36Speaker 1: we're not anchors here. I never ever said I was
- 51:41Speaker 1: what's the only state capital that's three words? I wonder
- 51:46Speaker 1: if I wrote just wrote it down wrong? Is there
- 51:48Speaker 1: so there's no state capital that's three words? Right? No,
- 51:51Speaker 1: look that up something with three words? Cities something cities
- 51:53Speaker 1: with three words. I must have just wrote it down.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Salt Lake City, Yeah, Salt Lake City, Utah. Is that
- 52:00Speaker 1: a capital? Yeah? Yeah, maybe I just wrote down the
- 52:03Speaker 1: wrong one. That's funny.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Maybe you wrote down somebody's wrong end capital Utah, or
- 52:07Speaker 2: that somebody somebody said New York City and you're like,
- 52:09Speaker 2: it's gotta be it.
- 52:10Speaker 1: I can't do show prep when I'm stoned. Well, don't
- 52:13Speaker 1: get stoned. How fun would that be? It's time for Eminem's.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Oh can't go wrong with Eminem. You know these these
- 52:25Speaker 1: candy companies are getting a little bit more experimental these days.
- 52:28Speaker 1: You notice that end Snack company. Is it like Pretzel
- 52:30Speaker 1: lem and ms so Eminem? No, those are those have
- 52:32Speaker 1: been around for a long time. But these are Eminem's
- 52:34Speaker 1: lemon meringue pie. What are we doing? We also have
- 52:38Speaker 1: sounds good though Eminem's cherry chocolate cupcake. We're getting carried away?
- 52:42Speaker 1: What's going on with We're getting carried away with the flavor? Yeah,
- 52:45Speaker 1: you know the Eminem factory is over in Hacket's time,
- 52:47Speaker 1: ye mars right, yeah, not far.
- 52:50Speaker 2: We should do a show there live. I bet the
- 52:52Speaker 2: staff will. Used to drive through there to go to
- 52:54Speaker 2: art school. I want to commute and you could smell
- 52:57Speaker 2: that chap absolutely.
- 52:58Speaker 1: We used to go there years ago to go to
- 52:59Speaker 1: White Cat because that was the closest white castle. It
- 53:01Speaker 1: would smell like Eminem's outside. So these are cherry chocolate
- 53:05Speaker 1: cupcake Eminems. You want to try something? Sure? These are
- 53:07Speaker 1: pretty good? Yeah, lemon meringue pie, cherry chocolate. This is
- 53:12Speaker 1: the most riveting part of our show. Yeah, these are
- 53:15Speaker 1: actually they're pretty good. They're pretty good. Yeah, they deliver. Yeah,
- 53:21Speaker 1: I do like chocolate covered cherries. So the mixture of
- 53:23Speaker 1: cherry and yeah, it's pretty I don't know where the
- 53:26Speaker 1: cupcake comes from, but it tastes like I can I
- 53:28Speaker 1: can sense it, can sense it. It's got hints of cake.

- 53:50Speaker 1: the course, right, Yeah, well what we do on this
