- 0:59Speaker 4: some really sad, disturbing Bravo news. And then I was
- 1:03Speaker 4: with my guest that you enjoyed last Thursday. He stayed
- 1:08Speaker 4: because he has such a juicy story. Matty Addy is
- 1:12Speaker 4: how he's known. Matthew is his name, about when he
- 1:15Speaker 4: was a personal assistant to to the top diva in
- 1:20Speaker 4: the world, Mariah Carey. And he gives us all the
- 1:23Speaker 4: juicy deets and it was such a great interview. So
- 1:26Speaker 4: I saved it for today, but I've got lots to
- 1:29Speaker 4: get through right now. All right. If you follow me
- 1:32Speaker 4: on social media, I put out a video on Saturday,
- 1:36Speaker 4: I believe, or Friday of the most disturbing Bravo News
- 1:40Speaker 4: that has ever come out of Bravo News. Now, let
- 1:43Speaker 4: me just walk you back and I am going to
- 1:45Speaker 4: be careful the way I talk about this to protect
- 1:48Speaker 4: your ears, you know, and also all of it. But
- 1:52Speaker 4: also when I do this, this goes on YouTube and
- 1:55Speaker 4: you have to be kind of careful about how you
- 1:57Speaker 4: say it. So Kim and Corey Berman have had their
- 2:02Speaker 4: own show for years. You know Kim Zolciak. She was
- 2:07Speaker 4: one of the original Real Housewives of Atlanta and just
- 2:10Speaker 4: had a huge, great, beautiful personality. When we met her,
- 2:14Speaker 4: she was a single mom of two daughters and was
- 2:17Speaker 4: very open that she had a sugar daddy named Big Papa.
- 2:20Speaker 4: We later found out Big Papa was married the whole
- 2:23Speaker 4: time and had a family and recently passed. Okay. She
- 2:27Speaker 4: then meets Corey Berman, who was a football player. I
- 2:31Speaker 4: believe he was only 24 when they met. She was 31.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Everyone always thought she was older, but she had her
- 2:36Speaker 4: first child very young. And they got pregnant with Croy Jr.,
- 2:41Speaker 4: known as KJ. It was featured on a spinoff, her wedding,
- 2:46Speaker 4: Don't Be Tarded for the Wedding. From there, she got
- 2:49Speaker 4: pregnant with another child named Cash, and then twins, Kaya
- 2:53Speaker 4: and Kane. And she would refer to those four kids
- 2:55Speaker 4: as the littles, and then the older girls would be
- 2:58Speaker 4: part of the show. And the show went on for
- 3:01Speaker 4: seven seasons and it's currently still on Peacock, which I'm
- 3:04Speaker 4: curious if they're going to pull it down. But maybe
- 3:07Speaker 4: not because they probably got a lot of views this
- 3:09Speaker 4: weekend because we are racking our brains. How did this
- 3:13Speaker 4: happen to a family that we felt we knew and watched?
- 3:18Speaker 4: And what I'm talking about is back in August, KJ
- 3:22Speaker 4: was arrested and was held in a Georgia prison for
- 3:27Speaker 4: up until this weekend, where he was now let out
- 3:29Speaker 4: on bond, $ 200, 000 bond, which is meaning coming up with.
- 3:34Speaker 1: $ 20, 000.
- 3:35Speaker 4: He was being held and tried as an adult, which
- 3:37Speaker 4: is something that you can do, I guess, in Georgia.
- 3:39Speaker 4: And the story was that in April 23rd of 26,
- 3:46Speaker 4: a young girl came forward to tell her story the
- 3:54Speaker 4: following day that this happened. So a horrible incident happened
- 3:57Speaker 4: in a gym changing room with this victim who knew
- 4:03Speaker 4: of KJ. And these were an unwanted attack, essay situation
- 4:10Speaker 4: that happened to her. And she did everything that they say,
- 4:14Speaker 4: why did you wait? She didn't wait. She went to
- 4:17Speaker 4: the police and reported it. According to the investigation I've done,
- 4:27Speaker 4: The parents knew about this. Corey knew about it in May.
- 4:32Speaker 4: And they didn't know if they were going to let
- 4:34Speaker 4: him talk to police or whatever because he was a minor.
- 4:38Speaker 4: And so therefore, Kim knew about it in May as well.
- 4:42Speaker 4: But it took until August for them to actually make
- 4:45Speaker 4: an arrest. That's when we, the public, found out about it.
- 4:49Speaker 4: And we were really quite shocked that we knew about
- 4:51Speaker 4: this thing with two juveniles. In California, they would most
- 4:56Speaker 4: likely have been able to keep this whole thing private
- 4:58Speaker 4: and we wouldn't have known. They do think different things
- 5:01Speaker 4: in different states. So what he was charged with was
- 5:09Speaker 4: very shocking. Seven felony things, you can look it up.
- 5:12Speaker 4: It's very, very shocking. And this poor young girl, this
- 5:19Speaker 4: was her story. And right away, what I found interesting,
- 5:23Speaker 4: was right away, the day the public knew that he'd
- 5:25Speaker 4: been arrested for this in August, Kim Zolciak, his mother,
- 5:29Speaker 4: went on and she referred to this teenage girl as
- 5:32Speaker 4: a woman, said that she has made lies in the past.
- 5:37Speaker 4: The attorney, I believe there was some reference in that,
- 5:39Speaker 4: you know, he took a polygraph and passed, KJ did.
- 5:44Speaker 4: There was no physical evidence found of any kind. And
- 5:48Speaker 4: this girl has accused other people of this in the
- 5:50Speaker 4: past as a troublemaker and that she liked him and
- 5:58Speaker 4: he rejected her and therefore she's making up these lies.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Like crazy. So lots of speculation. But also there were
- 6:07Speaker 4: stories that were coming out and people commenting going, huh,
- 6:12Speaker 4: I remember when their youngest daughter, one of the twins,
- 6:15Speaker 4: who is around 11 or 12 now, I think she's
- 6:19Speaker 4: only 11, was sent to go live with Corey's grandmother
- 6:24Speaker 4: in Montana. And there was different stories going around that
- 6:28Speaker 4: they just, you know, she wasn't allowed to have a
- 6:29Speaker 4: cell phone. She couldn't be around boys. And people wondered,
- 6:33Speaker 4: boys in her own family or just any boys? Like
- 6:36Speaker 4: what is going on? Is this just like, let's have
- 6:39Speaker 4: a fun summer with grandma or is there something bigger
- 6:41Speaker 4: going on? So the hearing came up over on Friday,
- 6:46Speaker 4: the hearing came up, his family and attorney are trying
- 6:49Speaker 4: to get him out on bond and the prosecutor would
- 6:53Speaker 4: like him to stay in there. And in that prosecutor statement,
- 6:57Speaker 4: she brought up that there were videos found on his
- 7:01Speaker 4: phone in a private file. So not only did he
- 7:05Speaker 4: know that he filmed it, he put it in a
- 7:08Speaker 4: private file so nobody could find it and so that
- 7:11Speaker 4: he could enjoy it later of him doing the unthinkable
- 7:17Speaker 4: with a relative under 11 years old. They didn't say
- 7:24Speaker 4: who the relative is. We don't know the gender of
- 7:25Speaker 4: the relative. That's what was put out. Page six was
- 7:29Speaker 4: in the courtroom. And that's how we, the public, found
- 7:32Speaker 4: out that this existed. Oftentimes, if you watch the show,
- 7:38Speaker 4: don't talk about cousins. Say we don't know. Both Kim
- 7:43Speaker 4: and Corey have, at most of their marriage, been estranged
- 7:48Speaker 4: from their own relatives, which is interesting because for many years,
- 7:52Speaker 4: we saw that Corey never spoke to his parents, that
- 7:54Speaker 4: the parents never met his children after the wedding, but
- 7:58Speaker 4: enough to When they felt they needed to, they sent
- 8:02Speaker 4: their daughter over to live with Croy's grandparents in Montana.
- 8:06Speaker 4: So everyone's speculating what is going on. Could it be
- 8:11Speaker 4: the most unthinkable thing? And it's so sad. And why
- 8:14Speaker 4: do we know it? Why didn't this prosecutor go in
- 8:17Speaker 4: chambers and give that information in her plea to keep
- 8:20Speaker 4: them behind bars? Well, everybody's shocked. Kim and Brielle, her
- 8:25Speaker 4: oldest daughter, are wearing matching black dresses. They come out
- 8:28Speaker 4: of the courtroom. They have their full hair wigs done
- 8:32Speaker 4: and they're not speaking and they leave. And we find
- 8:37Speaker 4: out later that he was released on bond, even though
- 8:40Speaker 4: the victim from April, okay, the girl from the changing
- 8:46Speaker 4: room at the gym, like the Equinox, whatever it was,
- 8:50Speaker 4: she had a prosecutor read her letter pleading for him
- 8:54Speaker 4: to stay behind bars, that she's scared, that she's getting threats.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Her family's getting threats because there's probably people who know
- 9:03Speaker 4: who she is personally or fans of the family or whatever.
- 9:06Speaker 4: And she really was scared, but they said, no, we're
- 9:09Speaker 4: going to let him out. And he is going to
- 9:11Speaker 4: live with Kim, his mother. He will have to only
- 9:15Speaker 4: go to virtual school. He cannot be around any children
- 9:18Speaker 4: under 16 years old. Um, and the other kids, the three,
- 9:23Speaker 4: the three other kids who are under 16 of Kim
- 9:25Speaker 4: and Croy's will live with Croy. So this is, then
- 9:29Speaker 4: people bring up an old interview in which Ariana, her
- 9:33Speaker 4: second oldest daughter, who was on Next Gen, who's very likable, well-spoken,
- 9:37Speaker 4: has also been on reality TV since she was like seven.
- 9:41Speaker 4: She does an interview with Gia Giudice, Teresa's daughter, and
- 9:44Speaker 4: she's like, I'm worried about those kids. They need help.
- 9:48Speaker 4: They are wild. They all need therapy, especially my little sister.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Then we see an old video that Brielle did, the
- 9:56Speaker 4: oldest daughter who was set to get married in November.
- 10:00Speaker 4: And she says, oh my gosh, my brother KJ, he
- 10:03Speaker 4: is so fast. He really likes the ladies. He's always...
- 10:07Speaker 4: Texting me going, can you sell me $ 100? I'm with
- 10:09Speaker 4: this girl. I'm going to buy her a burger. Can
- 10:11Speaker 4: you get me an Uber? Mom and dad don't know
- 10:14Speaker 4: I'm out, but I'm out and I'm with this girl.
- 10:17Speaker 4: And the girl who's interviewing her, they're laughing. You know,
- 10:20Speaker 4: boys will be boys. And again, people have seen this kid.
- 10:25Speaker 4: since he was in Kim Zolciak's stomach. And they would
- 10:30Speaker 4: joke about his bad behavior and, you know, flipping off
- 10:34Speaker 4: the staff and whatever. Isn't it funny when a little
- 10:37Speaker 4: toddler uses the F word type of thing? But a
- 10:40Speaker 4: lot of it, when you watch some of it, was
- 10:42Speaker 4: just like a really fun family. They were all really
- 10:44Speaker 4: funny and this was their livelihood and they went on
- 10:48Speaker 4: a big road trip and So it's crazy. But one
- 10:51Speaker 4: of the other things was that Kim spent thousands and
- 10:54Speaker 4: thousands of dollars a month on her hair, makeup, plastic surgery,
- 11:00Speaker 4: removing different fat things and removing the fat. And so
- 11:04Speaker 4: you didn't have to work out, wine, gambling. When they finally...
- 11:09Speaker 4: get divorced and they're separated. The cops were called over
- 11:11Speaker 4: 11 times to their house. We saw the body cam
- 11:14Speaker 4: from the cops. He's screaming. She's crying. They're both blaming
- 11:19Speaker 4: each other, saying that they both put them in financial ruin.
- 11:22Speaker 4: She's like, he doesn't work. He says she spends the
- 11:24Speaker 4: money gambling. He also was just hit with some gambling
- 11:28Speaker 4: debt of his own. So he's a gambler too. She's
- 11:31Speaker 4: a gambler. And it's made clear that she's had to
- 11:35Speaker 4: use her daughter's money to pay bills. And the daughters
- 11:38Speaker 4: have admitted to that because they have their own careers
- 11:40Speaker 4: now in this reality world. And as someone that has just,
- 11:44Speaker 4: you know, followed this and watched it and fascinated, I
- 11:47Speaker 4: think the reason that everybody that's in this Bravo world
- 11:50Speaker 4: is so incredibly perplexed and shocked is like, this was
- 11:55Speaker 4: a family. Yeah, they were a little wild and eccentric,
- 11:58Speaker 4: but how could this happen? You know, is it narcissistic parents?
- 12:02Speaker 4: Is it, was it just no supervision? Was it, did
- 12:06Speaker 4: the kid have corn on his phone or access to corn?
- 12:10Speaker 4: Just add a P to it, replace it. I you know,
- 12:17Speaker 4: accessible to the stuff and you think that it's normal
- 12:19Speaker 4: or you're play acting or acting it out. What's really
- 12:22Speaker 4: the most disturbing thing is that we found out that
- 12:26Speaker 4: this incident with the young relative that is archived on
- 12:31Speaker 4: his phone, video evidence of it, that incident was reported
- 12:37Speaker 4: and was looked into by, I guess, CPS or whatever.
- 12:42Speaker 4: And he was put under a restriction then with an
- 12:46Speaker 4: essay and all these other things he was supposed to
- 12:49Speaker 4: do and seek therapy and everything. So the parents knew this.
- 12:54Speaker 4: This is why the little girl went off to grandma.
- 12:58Speaker 4: They knew this happened. Maybe they didn't know the severity
- 13:01Speaker 4: of it. Maybe they didn't know that a video existed.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Maybe they thought it was something more innocent, like his
- 13:07Speaker 4: attorney is saying, hair pulling, whatever, just being like a
- 13:11Speaker 4: mean older brother. but they knew about it. They knew
- 13:15Speaker 4: that there was already strict restrictions for him in place.
- 13:18Speaker 4: And then when this came out in April and they
- 13:22Speaker 4: found out about it in May, and then he was
- 13:25Speaker 4: arrested in August, Kim then went on to try to
- 13:30Speaker 4: discredit the young victim who said this happened and went
- 13:35Speaker 4: right to the police right after, shocked. So this is
- 13:41Speaker 4: What really makes me say she's a piece of shit.
- 13:44Speaker 4: She is not a good person, not a good mother.
- 13:48Speaker 4: I don't think she protected either one of her children,
- 13:53Speaker 4: any of her children. She has six children. I wonder
- 13:56Speaker 4: what this will do for the girls' careers. Does this...
- 14:00Speaker 4: does Bravo just sweep it under the rug? Is there
- 14:04Speaker 4: a mandate for no Bravo type, uh, radio or podcast
- 14:08Speaker 4: shows to speak about it? Um, because it, it, you know,
- 14:13Speaker 4: it happened with the Duggars. It happened on another TLC
- 14:16Speaker 4: show where it was actually, I think it was the,
- 14:19Speaker 4: the little seven or something, one of those little families
- 14:22Speaker 4: with the little people. And it was, um, someone on
- 14:26Speaker 4: the crew that, did something to one of the small
- 14:30Speaker 4: children on the show. Also, you've been working your whole life.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Your whole life's been exposed. You never had the option
- 14:37Speaker 4: of being famous or not. None of the six kids,
- 14:39Speaker 4: including the two girls that are now young adults, they
- 14:42Speaker 4: never had the choice. This is how they made the money.
- 14:46Speaker 4: And this is where we are today. And it's just
- 14:48Speaker 4: so crazy and depressing and But it had to be discussed.
- 14:55Speaker 4: So I'm really curious to know how their lives will proceed,
- 15:00Speaker 4: if this wedding will happen, if she'll be able to
- 15:03Speaker 4: explain this one away. I think she's done. I don't
- 15:07Speaker 4: think she'll ever get another sponsorship. She has another boyfriend.
- 15:12Speaker 4: That boyfriend's ex-wife is also dating Croy. There was also
- 15:17Speaker 4: an article on TMZ in June after This incident happened,
- 15:21Speaker 4: but KJ had not been arrested yet, in which Kim
- 15:25Speaker 4: said that Corey's an awful parent, that he has sex
- 15:28Speaker 4: with his girlfriend. And the kids can hear it, that
- 15:30Speaker 4: he also got into a physical altercation with one of
- 15:33Speaker 4: their sons and threw him over the couch. But it
- 15:36Speaker 4: was dismissed because the boy was a certain size and
- 15:40Speaker 4: they didn't think it was a big deal. But she
- 15:41Speaker 4: went on to say it is because it's the child.
- 15:44Speaker 4: So they have always been pointing fingers at each other.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Croy calls himself a DV survivor, okay, in his, I
- 15:53Speaker 4: think in his bio, saying, I'm a DV survivor from Kim.
- 16:00Speaker 4: What a fucking messed up family to the oomph degree,
- 16:05Speaker 4: to the worst extent that you could ever imagine. And
- 16:09Speaker 4: we were witness to it. We were watching the Truman
- 16:13Speaker 4: Show the whole way through. And that is what I
- 16:16Speaker 4: think everybody is just like stirring about that is aware
- 16:21Speaker 4: of this horrible story. You guys know I'm absolutely obsessed
- 16:25Speaker 4: with Jones Road Beauty because I love their Miracle Balm.
- 16:30Speaker 4: I mean, I put it on so many days that
- 16:34Speaker 4: I'm just running to do pickleball or a walk or whatever.

- 20:23Speaker 4: Vicki takes just a couple of the girls, just Jen, Emily,
- 20:29Speaker 4: and Shannon Bedore to a one night in her new
- 20:36Speaker 4: home that she bought with her now boyfriend, Mike, in
- 20:39Speaker 4: La Quinta. So she sold her big house with the
- 20:44Speaker 4: waterfall and the grotta. She got a very nice, cute
- 20:48Speaker 4: house in Newport that she has. Then she has her
- 20:52Speaker 4: condo in Puerto Vallarta. We're going to Mexico! And then
- 20:55Speaker 4: she has now this place in La Quinta that she,
- 20:57Speaker 4: I believe, co-owns with the boyfriend. And they have this
- 21:02Speaker 4: slumber party and it is just the most uncomfortable thing
- 21:06Speaker 4: to watch. Like it will trigger you to any time
- 21:09Speaker 4: you were invited to your friend's house when you were
- 21:12Speaker 4: a teenager and the mean dad came home and everyone
- 21:16Speaker 4: had to walk on eggshells and they thought the mean
- 21:18Speaker 4: dad was like on a business trip and he shows
- 21:20Speaker 4: up and they're like, oh shit, this happens. This happens
- 21:24Speaker 4: even if you're not a teenager and you're married to
- 21:27Speaker 4: a grumpadump that you're scared of. Okay. And I don't
- 21:30Speaker 4: know why because he seems pretty nice, but I just
- 21:33Speaker 4: think she is like, why did I do this? I
- 21:35Speaker 4: can't talk. I can't talk about my relationship. Leave it alone.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Leave it alone.
- 21:39Speaker 4: And She's like, stop it. Stop it. We're not going
- 21:42Speaker 4: to talk. We're not going to talk.
- 21:43Speaker 1: We're not talking anymore.
- 21:44Speaker 4: We're not talking anymore. And Emily's like, why are we
- 21:47Speaker 4: playing the quiet game? Why can't I just, why can't
- 21:50Speaker 4: we speak, Vicki? Like what? We're not little kids. We're
- 21:53Speaker 4: not your children. We're going to go to the driving
- 21:56Speaker 4: range and then we're going to come home and go
- 21:58Speaker 4: in the jacuzzi and then we're going to make pizza.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Then we're going to whoop it up. I'm going to
- 22:01Speaker 4: take you some real fun places. So I'm like, cool.
- 22:03Speaker 4: They're going to the nest.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Okay.
- 22:04Speaker 4: We're going to finally see some fun. No, they didn't.
- 22:08Speaker 4: They had a lame time trying to golf at a
- 22:10Speaker 4: public course. And then they come back to the house
- 22:13Speaker 4: and they're swimming around in the pool for a little bit.
- 22:16Speaker 4: And then once again, they try to have a conversation.
- 22:18Speaker 4: And Vicki's like, why are you talking to me? Why
- 22:20Speaker 4: are you talking to me like this? Why are you
- 22:22Speaker 4: talking to me? And she gets up and they're like,
- 22:26Speaker 4: what is going on? And now they have to go
- 22:28Speaker 4: and act like they want to make these pizzas. And
- 22:31Speaker 4: I'm like, oh my God. And they're in their matching
- 22:33Speaker 4: pajamas that Shannon did, made for them. And I'm like,
- 22:37Speaker 4: this is just so depressing. And then all of a
- 22:41Speaker 4: sudden the boyfriend comes home. She must've called him or something.
- 22:44Speaker 4: He was at the casino. And to say like, I'm miserable,
- 22:49Speaker 4: come home. And they're like, oh my God, what do
- 22:51Speaker 4: we do? Let's just leave. Let's just leave. I have
- 22:55Speaker 4: been in a situation of just, let's just leave. The
- 22:58Speaker 4: tension between the couple. And really, it's what made me
- 23:03Speaker 4: then go get my own place in La Quinta because
- 23:06Speaker 4: I was like, I don't ever want to be with
- 23:08Speaker 4: a mean dad walking on eggshells. Like, this is not
- 23:12Speaker 4: worth it. I don't care how nice your house is.
- 23:14Speaker 4: I don't know how many pizzas you make. And then
- 23:16Speaker 4: she goes, I'm taking off my bike. I'm taking off
- 23:18Speaker 4: my bike. Get the fuck out of my house. I
- 23:21Speaker 4: want everyone out of here after I heat up the
- 23:23Speaker 4: pool for $ 400. It cost me $ 400 to heat up
- 23:25Speaker 4: the pool for those bitches. And they're like, oh, my God. Like...
- 23:29Speaker 4: It was just the most unwelcoming. And the other girls
- 23:32Speaker 4: went to Solvang, which is like this little Dutch town
- 23:35Speaker 4: that is just like dork city. And they were pedaling bikes.
- 23:39Speaker 4: I mean, it's cute, whatever. I'm sorry to the Solvang
- 23:41Speaker 4: juicy scoopers. You can go. It was, but you really
- 23:46Speaker 4: just need to focus on how, and listen, I am
- 23:48Speaker 4: entertained by Vicky. I'm totally, people are like, get her
- 23:51Speaker 4: off my screen.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 23:53Speaker 4: I'm entertained by how much she regrets doing this thing
- 23:57Speaker 4: and how quickly she is like clocking in and clocking
- 24:00Speaker 4: out of working at the Real Housewives of DMV. She
- 24:03Speaker 4: is just like, I'm done. I'm done.
- 24:06Speaker 5: It's time to clock.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Get, get, get off the corner bed. And then she
- 24:09Speaker 4: does the same thing at Ultimate Girls Trip. She's like,
- 24:14Speaker 4: you know, I just, no one's talking to me. I just,
- 24:16Speaker 4: I don't like my wig. I just want to go home,
- 24:18Speaker 4: put on some really nice flow stints and just go
- 24:20Speaker 4: to bed. And, oh, I also want to say though,
- 24:24Speaker 4: this crazy thing that happened in the OC, an OC
- 24:26Speaker 4: woman was arrested for allegedly stealing over $ 400, 000 from our
- 24:31Speaker 4: high school football team. Now she needs, she needs some
- 24:35Speaker 4: hair extensions. Okay. She needs a spray tan. But I
- 24:40Speaker 4: put this post up and I said, I think we
- 24:42Speaker 4: found our new Real Housewives of OC. Like we haven't
- 24:45Speaker 4: had like a solid Real Housewives of OC criminal, like
- 24:51Speaker 4: criminal per se. That's been in Salt Lake. That's been
- 24:54Speaker 4: in Jersey. That's been in, you know, Atlanta. There's been crime.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Like we need. So anyway, if you're looking for a
- 25:01Speaker 4: new housewife, we'll get her on the Ozempic. We'll get
- 25:05Speaker 4: some hair extensions, some giant teeth. And she can make
- 25:10Speaker 4: this show a little more exciting. Getting back to Ultimate
- 25:13Speaker 4: Girls Trip. Well, Luann got real buzzed. And she was
- 25:19Speaker 4: very entertaining too, but she wouldn't stop talking. She's like,
- 25:21Speaker 4: you know, I'm a diva.
- 25:23Speaker 2: I'm a diva.
- 25:23Speaker 4: And I like to sing about divas.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Divas.
- 25:29Speaker 4: Mirror on, lipstick on, look at my face. Everybody can
- 25:33Speaker 4: talk about feeling great.
- 25:35Speaker 5: Hello.
- 25:35Speaker 4: Hello. And she's like, these guys who are clearly gay
- 25:38Speaker 4: that are like, they're serving them a mojito. She's like,
- 25:41Speaker 4: I like your tie. I like your chest with just
- 25:44Speaker 4: a tie. Classy thing. And they were kind of annoyed
- 25:49Speaker 4: by her obnoxiousness. But... you know, it's a fun show.
- 25:53Speaker 4: I love mixing up all the girls. I think it's
- 25:55Speaker 4: great for the following BravoCon. It's not this fall. It's
- 25:58Speaker 4: the next fall because there'll be stuff that goes on
- 26:01Speaker 4: with these girls that that is what works when they
- 26:03Speaker 4: all get together from different franchises. They have beef. They've
- 26:06Speaker 4: talked shit about each other. We kind of need it.
- 26:09Speaker 4: And so I think there'll be a lot more of
- 26:11Speaker 4: these ultimate girl trips. This works. This really works. So
- 26:15Speaker 4: they're having fun there. Um, Oh, well, Carol, speaking of
- 26:21Speaker 4: ultimate girls trips, you know, we have still, we are
- 26:24Speaker 4: still trying to get our professional, um, class action lawsuit
- 26:30Speaker 4: against the people that are holding the Real Housewives of
- 26:34Speaker 4: Morocco from us.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Okay.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Because we still want to see what happened in the
- 26:39Speaker 4: bathroom with grandma Caroline Manzo and And Brandi Glanville, who
- 26:45Speaker 4: is an out bisexual woman, what happened? And she is
- 26:50Speaker 4: going now and talking about it, which I was quite
- 26:53Speaker 4: shocked about, Caroline was. Her lawsuit is still happening. In
- 26:57Speaker 4: the meantime, Brandi Glanville, you know, developed a worm that
- 27:02Speaker 4: was in her face. And sometimes it's gone and sometimes
- 27:05Speaker 4: it comes back. And she hasn't been able to get
- 27:09Speaker 4: any of these other little one-off TV shows since this
- 27:13Speaker 4: incident because it made her look bad, like that she
- 27:16Speaker 4: couldn't be trusted keeping her hands to herself. And so
- 27:21Speaker 4: she has started a GoFundMe for herself. And a lot
- 27:25Speaker 4: of the housewives have contributed to it. And she's embarrassed
- 27:29Speaker 4: by it, but she needs the money. And again, it's
- 27:32Speaker 4: crazy when you think about these women that have been on...
- 27:36Speaker 4: given us so much, been on TV shows for years
- 27:38Speaker 4: and years and years, reruns running all the time on
- 27:41Speaker 4: Peacock and they don't have a pot to piss in.
- 27:45Speaker 4: They don't. And so, you know, she has a GoFundMe
- 27:49Speaker 4: and Kyle gave to it, Camille and a couple other
- 27:54Speaker 4: women are giving to it and she needs it, I guess,
- 27:57Speaker 4: to take care of the worm, to get her face right.
- 28:02Speaker 4: You know, she is funny. She is talented. It's just
- 28:05Speaker 4: a really sad thing. And it really spiraled once she
- 28:09Speaker 4: was accused of this, which she always said was funny
- 28:12Speaker 4: and mutually silly, you know, and she was not trying
- 28:16Speaker 4: to do anything that would, you know, end the show
- 28:19Speaker 4: or whatever. So with Caroline Manzo, but that's still going
- 28:23Speaker 4: on and we still have yet to see that footage.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Real Housewives of New York City premiered And I mean,
- 28:32Speaker 4: I think it was fun. It started out with the
- 28:34Speaker 4: ultimate real housewife and that is Martha Stewart because she
- 28:38Speaker 4: gets her makeup done by Daisy, the makeup artist. And
- 28:42Speaker 4: she shows up already with half of the makeup done.
- 28:45Speaker 4: So I assume she went there, did half the makeup
- 28:47Speaker 4: and then walked outside the door. And then they're like, okay, act.
- 28:50Speaker 4: And knocking on the door. Hello? Well, Daisy, what do
- 28:54Speaker 4: you got here? A store-bought pie. What are you doing
- 28:58Speaker 4: having a store-bought pie? Oh, I could teach you how
- 29:01Speaker 4: to make an apple pie. All right. Make me beautiful.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Do my face just the way I like it. I'm
- 29:07Speaker 4: going to a lovely luncheon today and I just want
- 29:10Speaker 4: to look good. And so that's how it starts out.
- 29:15Speaker 4: What's kind of interesting about the cast is not everybody's rich.
- 29:18Speaker 4: She's a makeup artist. Her husband's a hairdresser. They live
- 29:20Speaker 4: in like a two bedroom apartment. Um, but then there's
- 29:24Speaker 4: like this new girl who's married to a billionaire and
- 29:26Speaker 4: she has an island and then we see them go
- 29:28Speaker 4: to the island in future episodes and they're all bitching
- 29:31Speaker 4: saying this island's not as great as, you know, the
- 29:34Speaker 4: Epstein one. I don't know what they're saying, but then
- 29:37Speaker 4: we also have Carol, Radswell who comes back to the
- 29:40Speaker 4: show and that comes up about, you know, the fact
- 29:44Speaker 4: that she had her photo for her book taken by
- 29:48Speaker 4: Gibbs Lane. And how did that ever come about? Well,
- 29:51Speaker 4: we know because she said it on Juicy Scoop, what, six,
- 29:55Speaker 4: seven years ago? Yeah. I asked her about it. Then,
- 29:59Speaker 4: and we got all into the story then. So I
- 30:02Speaker 4: got the exclusive back then. Her story has never changed.
- 30:05Speaker 4: And I find that really interesting. But she has this
- 30:09Speaker 4: red truck. I have been in the red Jeep that
- 30:13Speaker 4: she keeps in New York City. And yes, she had
- 30:15Speaker 4: a cone in the back. for when she has to
- 30:18Speaker 4: do the street cleaning and the parking. It is pretty fun.
- 30:21Speaker 4: We didn't see her that much. It just, they did
- 30:23Speaker 4: like an opening, like a sexicity, which I kind of like.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Nobody is missing Brynn, who's like, how fucked your dad? No, actually,
- 30:32Speaker 4: I prefer your husband. What? I'm joking. She's gone. The
- 30:36Speaker 4: other girl who was a art lesbian married to a lesbian,
- 30:43Speaker 4: she's gone. I can't remember her name. Rachel Rochelle. Anyway,
- 30:47Speaker 4: she's gone. And we also, Jenna, Jenna fucking lines that
- 30:51Speaker 4: everyone lost their shit over with her, you know, gray,
- 30:54Speaker 4: greasy hair and her lack of interest. Like she's gone.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Thank God. And, um, and so they kept Jessel, Aaron
- 31:03Speaker 4: and Cy, who's now getting divorced and they all look great.
- 31:08Speaker 4: They all have a lot of style and we'll see
- 31:10Speaker 4: how the show goes. You know, I think, I think
- 31:13Speaker 4: it could be kind of fun. So that's what's happening there. Oh,
- 31:17Speaker 4: there's this one girl named Haley Glassman. And her biggest
- 31:25Speaker 4: claim to fame is that she dated John Gosselin of
- 31:29Speaker 4: 8 Plus 8 because her dad was a plastic surgeon
- 31:33Speaker 4: who did Kate's tummy tuck after giving birth to the
- 31:37Speaker 4: six tuplets or whatever. And so then they broke up
- 31:41Speaker 4: and she started dating John and she said it was
- 31:44Speaker 4: awful because they said that she like broke up their marriage. Well,
- 31:47Speaker 4: now she has extreme plastic surgery, kind of like a
- 31:52Speaker 4: Larsa Pippen where it's like you put the old face
- 31:56Speaker 4: of when she dated John Gosselin next to this current
- 31:58Speaker 4: one and you're like, it looks like a head transplant.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Like they literally, she got cheekbones and she looks so different.
- 32:06Speaker 4: not bad looking, just so different. She actually kind of, yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 4: she looks, she looks like she's like a lot older too,
- 32:14Speaker 4: I think. But anyway, she has a husband that we
- 32:17Speaker 4: don't see. So she got an apartment. She says she
- 32:19Speaker 4: has a lavender marriage and she's has girlfriends and then
- 32:24Speaker 4: she rollerblades. I don't really know what she's there for,
- 32:27Speaker 4: but it's kind of weird. It's kind of a weird storyline.
- 32:29Speaker 4: She's kind of a kook. She's high on the, all
- 32:31Speaker 4: the time off of like weed gummies. And, um, So
- 32:36Speaker 4: there you go. I think they were just excited to
- 32:38Speaker 4: have a, I mean, they had a lot of lesbians
- 32:40Speaker 4: last time. So I think this is, she says it's
- 32:42Speaker 4: the lavender marriage. So I don't know if he's gay too.
- 32:46Speaker 4: I don't know what she lives off of. I don't
- 32:47Speaker 4: know if she just lives off of her parents, but, um,
- 32:52Speaker 4: she looks so different. It's like, it's like the craziest thing. Okay.
- 32:56Speaker 4: Speaking of crazy stuff, big news. Sister Wives is coming back.
- 33:01Speaker 4: Now I know I haven't covered it in the last
- 33:02Speaker 4: couple of years, but apparently, um, According to People, Cody
- 33:07Speaker 4: Brown and wife Robyn Brown not returning to Sister Wives
- 33:09Speaker 4: season 21 after 16 years on the show. And the
- 33:13Speaker 4: trailer has the three wives, Mary, Christine, and Janelle, talking
- 33:17Speaker 4: how they just found out that they are going to
- 33:19Speaker 4: film with them. Some people in the comments think they're
- 33:23Speaker 4: just never going to film with them in the same room.
- 33:27Speaker 4: But it sounds like they really might be done forever.
- 33:31Speaker 4: The girls are all dating people. Christine's married. Janelle's in love.
- 33:36Speaker 4: I don't know. I, I don't, I don't know if
- 33:41Speaker 4: it'll be that exciting without them, but good for the
- 33:43Speaker 4: sister wives. We're all happy to find them not talking
- 33:45Speaker 4: about coyote pass or kidney or the kidney who are
- 33:50Speaker 4: Cody that said, it's like a knife in my kidney.
- 33:53Speaker 4: We're done apparently, but I don't believe it. I don't
- 33:57Speaker 4: believe it. I think they will pop up him and Robin.
- 34:01Speaker 4: I was watching The Mormon Wife season five. Let me
- 34:04Speaker 4: just tell you, I don't know if I'm going to continue,
- 34:06Speaker 4: but oh my God, I'm going to, I cover these
- 34:08Speaker 4: stories so you guys don't have to watch them. I
- 34:10Speaker 4: cover these shows. Taylor, Frankie Paul. She was the breakout
- 34:17Speaker 4: star because she let the world know that she had
- 34:21Speaker 4: this little group of Mormon moms and they started swinging. Okay. So,
- 34:25Speaker 4: that's how the show got picked up. She has two
- 34:28Speaker 4: kids with her first husband. She gets divorced from him
- 34:31Speaker 4: because she was a swinger. She finds this other guy
- 34:34Speaker 4: who is named Dakota. They have a baby name ever.
- 34:37Speaker 4: And they're on and off, on and off, on and off.
- 34:39Speaker 4: And then she goes and does the bachelorette. And she
- 34:43Speaker 4: comes back and they let us see it, that she
- 34:46Speaker 4: comes back engaged from a guy from The Bachelorette. She
- 34:50Speaker 4: went with the three suites. She went, screwed all three
- 34:54Speaker 4: guys it looked like, picked the best one, which was Doug,
- 34:57Speaker 4: came back and then started sleeping with her baby daddy
- 35:01Speaker 4: number two. Then she tells the girls, but I'm actually
- 35:04Speaker 4: really in love with this guy that I dated before
- 35:07Speaker 4: I went on The Bachelorette, who's some TikTok country singer.
- 35:11Speaker 4: And a couple of the girls are like, wow, okay.
- 35:14Speaker 4: This is what I guess the world is going to
- 35:16Speaker 4: say makes you so relatable. It's juicy, but it's like,
- 35:19Speaker 4: when do you have time to like deal with your
- 35:21Speaker 4: three kids? You're like juggling so many guys. And that
- 35:25Speaker 4: is when I think, because she was screwing her baby
- 35:30Speaker 4: daddy number two, Dakota, that's when the video that was
- 35:34Speaker 4: so shocking that came out while they're filming this show,
- 35:38Speaker 4: while they're filming all this, I think we will see
- 35:42Speaker 4: the fact that the video of her freaking out, throwing
- 35:46Speaker 4: the bar stools in which one, not on purpose, but
- 35:50Speaker 4: hit her daughter's forehead or something, that got out there
- 35:55Speaker 4: and they decided to shut down The Bachelorette altogether. This
- 35:59Speaker 4: is all under the ABC, Hulu, Disney umbrella. Maybe once
- 36:04Speaker 4: we see it all and realize the behind the scenes
- 36:08Speaker 4: and where it came from, Maybe we'll see the bachelorette.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Maybe we'll see the real housewives of Morocco. I don't know.
- 36:17Speaker 4: But the amount of sex that these people have and
- 36:21Speaker 4: the cheating that goes on, I've never... How... How are they,
- 36:28Speaker 4: they like went so 180 with this Mormon situation. And
- 36:35Speaker 4: like there's this other girl that made an appearance on
- 36:38Speaker 4: the show who was best friends with this one girl, Miranda.
- 36:42Speaker 4: And then she started sleeping with her ex-husband named Chase.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Chase was also the one that was flirty with Taylor
- 36:49Speaker 4: or they were the ones swinging. I mean, it is just...
- 36:54Speaker 4: I don't know if they're using condoms. I don't know
- 36:56Speaker 4: if they're getting, you know, they should be seriously, the
- 37:00Speaker 4: producers need to be doing, you know, some, um, what
- 37:03Speaker 4: do you call it? STD tests the way they did
- 37:06Speaker 4: back in the nineties on the vivid sets. Okay. Because like,
- 37:11Speaker 4: I don't even know what's happening here and none of
- 37:14Speaker 4: them are, you know, super bright or intelligent, but they're
- 37:18Speaker 4: pretty to look at. They have a lot of fake hair.
- 37:21Speaker 4: a lot of plastic surgery. This one girl's Layla's boobs
- 37:24Speaker 4: are just so uncomfortably hard. And, um, but good for them.
- 37:30Speaker 4: Good for them. They're on TV. And, um, oh, and
- 37:35Speaker 4: then Todd Chrisley, he got in the press because he
- 37:38Speaker 4: was doing his show and he has a granddaughter who
- 37:44Speaker 4: is black and And he tells off some person from
- 37:50Speaker 4: his like high school of saying that they somehow use
- 37:55Speaker 4: the derogatory term about his beautiful granddaughter, who we also
- 37:59Speaker 4: saw on the show. when all the kids were being featured,
- 38:02Speaker 4: so was this little granddaughter. And he's like, how dare you? You,
- 38:07Speaker 4: who's big as a houseboat, need to be concerned about
- 38:10Speaker 4: your Dagger Dyke daughter. And all of you, I was
- 38:14Speaker 4: knuckles deep inside of you back in high school. So
- 38:17Speaker 4: stop acting like you're so pristine. And I was like,
- 38:21Speaker 4: oh my God. Anyway, that's why people love him. Okay.
- 38:26Speaker 4: And that's why we still question him. Is he the horniest,
- 38:30Speaker 4: straightest man in the world? That was, like you said,
- 38:34Speaker 4: knuckles deep in all of these bitches back in high school.
- 38:38Speaker 4: Or is he what he appears to be? Which is
- 38:41Speaker 4: not that. But one thing is, he's a great grandpa.
- 38:45Speaker 4: So we love that. Sad news for, you know, in
- 38:51Speaker 4: the Hayden Panettiere story, according to TMZ, if She did
- 38:58Speaker 4: take one fatal pill of fentanyl-laced Oxy and she died. Please,
- 39:06Speaker 4: that is just, oh my God, that is the scariest thing.
- 39:10Speaker 4: This was not her intention. This is what's so scary
- 39:14Speaker 4: about illegal drugs and pharmaceutical drugs and how they get
- 39:19Speaker 4: mixed up and how the wrong people are putting it out.
- 39:23Speaker 4: And it's just a horrible, horrible thing. All right, you guys,

- 40:01Speaker 4: Come see me. And now for a super juicy, true
- 40:05Speaker 4: story from being an assistant to the one and only diva,
- 40:09Speaker 4: Mariah Carey.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 40:11Speaker 2: AI is everywhere, but ROI isn't. At PWC, we turn
- 40:17Speaker 2: AI into advantage so you can see results, not hype.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Move from potential to performance I'm Darman, and this is
- 40:29Speaker 3: What Happens Next. Each week on the show, I sit
- 40:32Speaker 3: down with extraordinary people who have faced tremendous setbacks and
- 40:36Speaker 3: yet somehow have found a way to turn them into
- 40:39Speaker 3: their greatest strengths.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 40:44Speaker 4: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 40:46Speaker 4: filed against me.
- 40:47Speaker 2: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 40:50Speaker 2: what would you do if it was given back?
- 40:52Speaker 3: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 40:55Speaker 3: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 40:57Speaker 1: He said, I have a work dad.
- 40:58Speaker 3: I need a home dad. What happens next?
- 41:01Speaker 1: When I came in, he started crying.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 41:07Speaker 3: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 41:09Speaker 3: happens next.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 41:13Speaker 1: every day was. You're worth the work.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches. You can
- 41:17Speaker 4: use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 41:19Speaker 3: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 41:33Speaker 4: Hello, and welcome to Juicy Scoop. I am really excited
- 41:37Speaker 4: to talk to my guest. You remember him before as
- 41:40Speaker 4: an expert in a very juicy crime, but he has
- 41:43Speaker 4: such a juicy life. Welcome. We're going to talk more
- 41:47Speaker 4: with Matthew Addison, known as Matty Addy on TikTok. But
- 41:53Speaker 4: when we started to talk, obviously, hi, welcome. I found
- 41:57Speaker 4: you more about the Lindsay Clancy case.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:59Speaker 4: But then when we were talking, I was like, well,
- 42:02Speaker 4: what's your background? And you're like, oh, just was an
- 42:05Speaker 4: assistant to Mariah Carey for three years. I'm like, what?
- 42:09Speaker 4: You're like, yeah, I wrote a book about it. Tell
- 42:11Speaker 4: me a little bit how that even came about. That's fascinating. Yeah.
- 42:14Speaker 1: So I was Mariah Carey's assistant for two, just to
- 42:18Speaker 1: cover myself, for two years. What years was this?
- 42:21Speaker 4: This was like end of 2016 through 2018, I think.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Um, so it was during like that infamous New Year's
- 42:28Speaker 1: Eve performance that she had where her mic or she
- 42:31Speaker 1: wasn't singing and she was just like walking back and
- 42:33Speaker 1: forth on stage. Do you remember that?
- 42:34Speaker 4: I kind of do. When was she, when did she
- 42:37Speaker 4: have the reality show?
- 42:38Speaker 1: It was, I was with her not when it was filming,
- 42:41Speaker 1: but when it was airing. So still during that whole era.
- 42:44Speaker 4: That was so crazy that she agreed to do a
- 42:47Speaker 4: reality show. So I believe she was like engaged to
- 42:50Speaker 4: that billionaire or something.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Yes. That was the whole time. The whole time when
- 42:53Speaker 1: I was with her was very interesting because it was,
- 42:56Speaker 1: the end of the marriage to Nick Cannon and the
- 42:58Speaker 1: divorce and her meeting James Packer and then ultimately leaving
- 43:02Speaker 1: him for the backup dancer. So that was like my
- 43:05Speaker 1: whole era. So there was something happening all the time.
- 43:08Speaker 1: But I got that job because I was working front
- 43:11Speaker 1: desk at a salon in Beverly Hills. And there's so
- 43:14Speaker 1: many women in the entertainment industry or celebrities that come
- 43:17Speaker 1: in and I'd been there for five years and I
- 43:20Speaker 1: was approaching my late 20s and everybody would ask me
- 43:22Speaker 1: all the time. They would just be like, what do
- 43:24Speaker 1: you want to do? How can I help you? And
- 43:25Speaker 1: I was always like, I don't know. I'm just like
- 43:27Speaker 1: living in LA trying to figure it out. And I
- 43:30Speaker 1: quit on a whim one day and my best friend
- 43:33Speaker 1: who helps me run the day-to-day of my company now,
- 43:37Speaker 1: but she was an esthetician at the salon. So she
- 43:41Speaker 1: went to wax Mariah and her manager that night and
- 43:43Speaker 1: she was like, Matt, just randomly quit today. And she
- 43:46Speaker 1: was like, the manager was like, Oh my God, I
- 43:48Speaker 1: love Matt. And Mariah needs a new assistant. And so
- 43:51Speaker 1: I went and interviewed for the job. Obviously it was
- 43:54Speaker 1: not that cut and dry and simple. I had to
- 43:57Speaker 1: be rescheduled and wait and all the things, but I
- 44:00Speaker 1: went and met her in her home at the time
- 44:03Speaker 1: in Calabasas. The Oaks, like the Oaks within the Oaks,
- 44:09Speaker 1: the double gates. James Packer had leased that house and
- 44:12Speaker 1: it was like.
- 44:13Speaker 4: How did they even meet? It seemed so weird because
- 44:17Speaker 4: she went from Nick Cannon, who was like her age
- 44:21Speaker 4: or younger, cute, in the business, to like this older...
- 44:26Speaker 4: What was his story? He was like a billionaire or
- 44:28Speaker 4: a businessman? What was he?
- 44:29Speaker 1: Billionaire. I don't even remember what his.
- 44:31Speaker 4: And he was older and it didn't really seem like...
- 44:33Speaker 4: Not too much older. Because prior to him, she was
- 44:35Speaker 4: married quite young to... Tommy. Tommy Mottola.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:42Speaker 5: And.
- 44:42Speaker 4: it kind of got revealed later that she was, you know,
- 44:45Speaker 4: sort of this princess trapped in the castle and she
- 44:50Speaker 4: was this up and coming star and fell for the
- 44:52Speaker 4: music manager, the record producer and didn't have kids with him,
- 44:57Speaker 4: got out of that, then had her twins with Nick Cannon.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:01Speaker 4: And so then I was like, is she just like
- 45:04Speaker 4: wanting to quit working? Like it was, I'm like, was
- 45:07Speaker 4: she just trying to marry a billionaire to like have
- 45:10Speaker 4: a lavish life and not And live off the Christmas
- 45:14Speaker 4: song money or like what?
- 45:16Speaker 1: So, you know, when I was with her, like she wasn't, no,
- 45:20Speaker 1: like she wasn't the queen of Christmas. Like everybody knew
- 45:23Speaker 1: that they loved All I Want for Christmas is You.
- 45:24Speaker 1: But it wasn't like when I was with her, that
- 45:27Speaker 1: was starting to build and then it just exploded. But yeah,
- 45:30Speaker 1: I mean, they were introduced through Brett Ratner.
- 45:33Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 45:34Speaker 4: The director.
- 45:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:35Speaker 1: So they James was very good. James was very good
- 45:38Speaker 1: friends with him. And then Brett was very good friends
- 45:41Speaker 1: with Mariah's manager at the time, Stella. So that's sort
- 45:45Speaker 1: of how it all. You did.
- 45:47Speaker 4: I met Stella right after Chelsea lately.
- 45:51Speaker 3: OK.
- 45:52Speaker 4: And then I think she said she was she had
- 45:54Speaker 4: put together that reality show and she was on it.
- 45:57Speaker 1: She was.
- 45:58Speaker 4: And yeah. And then they didn't end on good terms.
- 46:01Speaker 1: No, that ended very bad. So I was there throughout
- 46:03Speaker 1: that entire process. And, you know, like I said, it
- 46:09Speaker 1: just so many things happened during the course of my
- 46:12Speaker 1: employment that I was just like, nobody would ever believe
- 46:14Speaker 1: this stuff in a million years. Like nobody would believe
- 46:17Speaker 1: this stuff. This is 10 times crazier than the Devil
- 46:20Speaker 1: Wears Prada. So I wrote it.
- 46:23Speaker 4: How did you end working there, though?
- 46:25Speaker 1: So basically what happened is, and I touch on this
- 46:30Speaker 1: in my book, and it actually was in some of
- 46:33Speaker 1: those lawsuits.
- 46:36Speaker 4: The Last Living Diva.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Yes.
- 46:38Speaker 4: A novel.
- 46:39Speaker 1: I'm in the process of changing my last name. That's
- 46:41Speaker 1: why it says Stevens. Stevens is my born last name.
- 46:43Speaker 4: Oh, it is.
- 46:44Speaker 1: It's my dad's last name, and we don't have a
- 46:45Speaker 1: relationship anymore.
- 46:46Speaker 4: Oh, okay. But he craved the spotlight. Now he's drowning
- 46:50Speaker 4: in the shadows.
- 46:51Speaker 3: Yes.
- 46:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 46:53Speaker 1: So it took me seven years. I'm really excited to
- 46:56Speaker 1: read this. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. Yeah. Seriously.
- 46:59Speaker 1: Even if you just read the first two pages, you're
- 47:01Speaker 1: going to be like, what the– Well, also.
- 47:03Speaker 4: Because it's like I– like I said, I met Stella.
- 47:08Speaker 4: I remember these things. I have like a great memory
- 47:14Speaker 4: for like pop culture, unnecessary things. And so– I'm very curious.
- 47:20Speaker 4: I went to see Mariah perform and she always sounded great,
- 47:25Speaker 4: but it was like I heard different things about that
- 47:30Speaker 4: they would change the tag in the clothes because she
- 47:34Speaker 4: was gaining weight and they wanted her to think that
- 47:38Speaker 4: she was still a size four or six, but maybe
- 47:41Speaker 4: they got a bigger size so that she would just
- 47:44Speaker 4: not get upset.
- 47:49Speaker 1: So I definitely experienced, you know, people operating in a
- 47:52Speaker 1: certain way around her. And I often would say that
- 47:57Speaker 1: my difficulties with the job was actually never her. It
- 48:00Speaker 1: was all of the people around because I felt like
- 48:03Speaker 1: they would develop what I called Mariah Carey syndrome, where
- 48:06Speaker 1: they started to believe they were Mariah Carey because of
- 48:10Speaker 1: their proximity to her. They were entitled to things or
- 48:13Speaker 1: they should be able to go to this place or
- 48:14Speaker 1: I should get a press discount at Gucci because I
- 48:17Speaker 1: work for like everything. It was like very grabby, grabby.
- 48:21Speaker 4: You know, it's lived in this world for a long
- 48:23Speaker 4: time that that is very, that's a very typical syndrome.
- 48:28Speaker 1: They believe they're entitled because of their proximity to celebrity
- 48:31Speaker 1: for sure.
- 48:33Speaker 4: That is so interesting. Yeah.
- 48:36Speaker 1: It's, it's bizarre. It's very bizarre. So that was the
- 48:40Speaker 1: most difficult part of the job for me was She,
- 48:44Speaker 1: for the most part, was very wonderful to me. What
- 48:48Speaker 1: the job really educated me on, and she has spoken
- 48:51Speaker 1: about this only once publicly, but she has bipolar disorder.
- 48:55Speaker 1: So that is one of the things too that really
- 48:58Speaker 1: like grabbed my attention with the Lindsay Clancy case was
- 49:00Speaker 1: I was like, this sounds and feels familiar to me.
- 49:03Speaker 1: I know about this. But when you're not well, you
- 49:08Speaker 1: can allow the wrong people into your life that wind
- 49:10Speaker 1: up taking advantage of you. And everyone it felt at
- 49:15Speaker 1: the time was in constant competition to, I'm the closest
- 49:19Speaker 1: person to her. And when you're easily influenced with a
- 49:22Speaker 1: mental health condition like that too, it's like sometimes they
- 49:25Speaker 1: trust the last person that they listen to. As far
- 49:29Speaker 1: as how things really ended, and again, some of this
- 49:32Speaker 1: stuff is online, but I was one of three assistants.
- 49:36Speaker 4: So But the show had already filmed.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Yes, but it was airing.
- 49:41Speaker 4: Then you were hired while it was airing. And it only,
- 49:43Speaker 4: how many, it aired for what, like two months, eight episodes?
- 49:46Speaker 1: Yeah, eight episodes.
- 49:47Speaker 4: Weren't they like on a cruise the whole time or something? Like,
- 49:50Speaker 4: I remember there being like yachts and ships and stuff.
- 49:53Speaker 1: So the first episode I thought was actually really good
- 49:55Speaker 1: and fascinating. And it was like painting that picture of
- 49:59Speaker 1: what you think or would want Mariah Carey's life to
- 50:01Speaker 1: look like. She's like living on a yacht. And then
- 50:04Speaker 1: James Packer has another yacht that's next to hers. Yes, yes,
- 50:07Speaker 1: I remember that. Because she's a night owl. And, like,
- 50:09Speaker 1: they can have their time, like, separate. But, like, and then,
- 50:11Speaker 1: of course, hers is chaos with, like, the entourage and
- 50:14Speaker 1: everything happening over there. But then it sort of, like,
- 50:17Speaker 1: turned into this weird scripted, like, this is how Mariah
- 50:22Speaker 1: and the backup dancer, like, fell in love. Like, it
- 50:25Speaker 1: just became very– it felt scripted, cheesy, weird, like, not
- 50:31Speaker 1: who she is or– But I believe what happened was
- 50:35Speaker 1: the manager had a deal with Bunim and Murray that
- 50:39Speaker 1: she had to fulfill.
- 50:40Speaker 4: The reality show production company.
- 50:42Speaker 1: And there was like overlap with her starting to be
- 50:46Speaker 1: Mariah's manager. And I believe she talked her into doing something.
- 50:49Speaker 1: And there was this whole talk of them trying to
- 50:51Speaker 1: paint it as this is a docu-series. It's not a
- 50:54Speaker 1: reality show.
- 50:55Speaker 4: It was on E, right? Yeah.
- 50:57Speaker 1: So it definitely became something I don't think Mariah necessarily
- 51:01Speaker 1: wanted it to be. And I don't think she never
- 51:03Speaker 1: would have done that had that not been her manager
- 51:05Speaker 1: at the time, for sure.
- 51:06Speaker 4: Yeah, because I mean, now looking back, it's like. what
- 51:10Speaker 4: were you thinking? It's the same thing like when Brittany
- 51:13Speaker 4: and Kaitha did that reality show.
- 51:16Speaker 1: Chaotic. On UPN. It was on UPN.
- 51:18Speaker 4: It's like, what are you thinking?
- 51:21Speaker 1: It was bizarre.
- 51:22Speaker 4: Who convinced you that this would be a wise, that
- 51:26Speaker 4: it was necessary? And you know who convinced them? Some
- 51:30Speaker 4: person in their circle that had an ulterior motive.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Yes.
- 51:35Speaker 4: To keep their longevity in the business going somehow. Because
- 51:39Speaker 4: somebody would look at it and go, you don't need this.
- 51:43Speaker 4: People who do reality shows are not at your level. And,
- 51:46Speaker 4: you know, you're not coming down enough that you need
- 51:49Speaker 4: it to pay the mortgage. Like the only time you
- 51:51Speaker 4: do a reality show is when you're coming up or
- 51:54Speaker 4: when you've really come down and like you are on
- 51:58Speaker 4: your third family. you're 65, you have too many kids
- 52:04Speaker 4: and you're like, all right, let's bring the cameras into
- 52:07Speaker 4: Calabasas and we'll try to make that. I mean, that's
- 52:11Speaker 4: when you don't do it when you're like.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Her manager definitely had been trying to talk her into
- 52:16Speaker 1: doing it. And again, back to, you know, you're not
- 52:21Speaker 1: in a right frame of mind or someone with her, one,
- 52:25Speaker 1: her mental health condition, but also with that level of fame.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Like there's so few people that have like, that are
- 52:30Speaker 1: that famous that it's, it's very isolating unless you're like
- 52:35Speaker 1: the Kardashians and you have a family of people around
- 52:38Speaker 1: you who relate to it. I just feel like she
- 52:40Speaker 1: didn't have a lot of friends and then becomes easily
- 52:42Speaker 1: influenced or wants to appease someone or, you know, it's easy. It's,
- 52:48Speaker 1: you're getting X amount of money or, but.
- 52:51Speaker 4: You know, we often talk about the Kardashians and The
- 52:54Speaker 4: truth is why they are so successful is exactly what
- 52:58Speaker 4: you said. Yeah. One girl, her head could never blow
- 53:03Speaker 4: up even, you know, and now they all are equally like,
- 53:08Speaker 4: you know, whether it's Skims or Courtney's business or Good
- 53:13Speaker 4: American or the popcorn or they all have something that's
- 53:18Speaker 4: so special to themselves that And they all, and they
- 53:22Speaker 4: still are sisters.
- 53:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 53:23Speaker 4: And there's no estrangement. There's no, you know, and you're right.
- 53:27Speaker 4: But when you're just become the star on your own
- 53:30Speaker 4: and you're so, you know, and your family isn't in
- 53:33Speaker 4: it or you try to bring them in it and
- 53:34Speaker 4: they're like resentful.
- 53:36Speaker 1: There was a moment that we had for her birth. Sorry,
- 53:39Speaker 1: she doesn't call it her birthday. She calls it her
- 53:40Speaker 1: anniversary because she doesn't acknowledge time. I love that. So
- 53:45Speaker 1: there was a moment though for her anniversary where we
- 53:47Speaker 1: were going to Mexico for for it to celebrate. And
- 53:51Speaker 1: I remember getting on the plane and like looking around
- 53:53Speaker 1: and being like, every single person on this plane is
- 53:56Speaker 1: on payroll. And like, that's just sad. Like, that's just
- 53:58Speaker 1: sad that like every single person coming here is getting paid,
- 54:03Speaker 1: you know, to not, that's just like a different level
- 54:06Speaker 1: of isolation. And if you are struggling with your mental health,
- 54:09Speaker 1: on top of that, some of the average person is
- 54:11Speaker 1: already wondering, does this person really like me or care
- 54:14Speaker 1: about me? Or are they around for the benefits of it?
- 54:18Speaker 1: You know, and It just felt like at least during
- 54:21Speaker 1: that period of time, she didn't have people who didn't
- 54:24Speaker 1: have an ulterior motive around.
- 54:25Speaker 4: So you were saying, so what happened with you? So
- 54:28Speaker 4: you worked for a couple of years. Yeah.
- 54:30Speaker 1: So what was that like?
- 54:31Speaker 4: What is it like to be an assistant with someone
- 54:33Speaker 4: like that? Like as far as like your travel, are
- 54:36Speaker 4: you on the clock all the time? Like how do
- 54:38Speaker 4: you say, hey, I need to fly home or I
- 54:41Speaker 4: want to have, you know, these four days off so
- 54:44Speaker 4: I can go to a wedding. Like how does that work?
- 54:46Speaker 1: So in the beginning, it definitely felt like everything was
- 54:49Speaker 1: a test. Like I was brought into like, okay, work
- 54:52Speaker 1: this party and, you know, just kind of like, what
- 54:55Speaker 1: do I do? And just talking to other staff, because
- 54:57Speaker 1: it was, you know, when you talk about like an
- 55:00Speaker 1: extreme celebrity entourage, like she's the epitome of that. Of course,
- 55:03Speaker 1: there's like glam and hair and makeup and wardrobe and
- 55:06Speaker 1: security for the kids and security for her and security
- 55:09Speaker 1: for the property and, you know, nannies. And there's just
- 55:12Speaker 1: so many people Um, so I definitely was tested at
- 55:15Speaker 1: first and then it became, I was like administrative assistant.
- 55:19Speaker 1: So I'd work in the office, like under her bedroom,
- 55:21Speaker 1: like on the desk, like doing the schedule and stuff.
- 55:24Speaker 1: And as trust was gained, I sort of, you know,
- 55:27Speaker 1: I would advance to locations ahead of her to make
- 55:30Speaker 1: sure her hotel rooms were set up before she arrived.
- 55:33Speaker 1: So she felt at home and by the end of it.
- 55:35Speaker 4: What were some of the things that you, that she
- 55:37Speaker 4: would want? Cause everyone always talks about the writer and stuff.
- 55:41Speaker 4: And I'm like, even when I go do standup, It's
- 55:43Speaker 4: like they're like, well, like sometimes I'll go to a
- 55:45Speaker 4: theater and there's just like some sad like meat and
- 55:49Speaker 4: cheese plate. And I go, what is this? And I
- 55:52Speaker 4: forgot that whatever. I had some writer at one time
- 55:56Speaker 4: I said, oh, can we just have like a deli platter?
- 55:59Speaker 4: But it's like now I know. It's like now I go,
- 56:03Speaker 4: you know what? We will get dinner on our own.
- 56:06Speaker 4: I just need some Diet Cokes and some waters and
- 56:09Speaker 4: like maybe a straw. And, you know, but– But that's
- 56:13Speaker 4: always so interesting because I'm like, people always make such
- 56:15Speaker 4: a big deal about someone's writer. I'm like, well, you
- 56:17Speaker 4: can have white roses if that's what makes you happy.
- 56:19Speaker 4: Why not?
- 56:20Speaker 1: You know, there was– to me, I never felt like–
- 56:23Speaker 1: I don't know. I never felt like anything was that
- 56:25Speaker 1: crazy for the average person. Maybe they would think it
- 56:28Speaker 1: was crazy having all these things. But for me, it
- 56:30Speaker 1: was creating a sense of stability for her when we
- 56:33Speaker 1: were– especially being on tour and on the road. And
- 56:35Speaker 1: there were things like she likes a Jo Malone red
- 56:38Speaker 1: rose candle or whatever. But the most– I guess, extravagant
- 56:43Speaker 1: things was she liked to have a lot of humidifiers
- 56:45Speaker 1: for her voice.
- 56:47Speaker 4: Which that makes sense.
- 56:48Speaker 1: Yeah. But there wasn't anything, if anything, like I felt
- 56:52Speaker 1: like I was doing extra things. Like I was like,
- 56:54Speaker 1: you know, if a recent event happened, I'd be printing
- 56:57Speaker 1: out pictures of her with the kids or wherever it
- 56:58Speaker 1: was and, you know, framing them so they'd be in
- 57:01Speaker 1: her room or she does love orchids or... There were
- 57:06Speaker 1: certain things, but to me, it never felt excessive. There
- 57:09Speaker 1: were not things like I've read things, you know, I
- 57:13Speaker 1: think there was a joke about this, sorry, in a
- 57:15Speaker 1: J-Lo movie. This is the wrong time to bring her up,
- 57:16Speaker 1: but we're going to talk about.
- 57:17Speaker 4: Was that where she goes, I don't know her? Yes.
- 57:20Speaker 4: It was about J-Lo.
- 57:21Speaker 1: Yes, that was about J-Lo. So there was... In one
- 57:26Speaker 1: of her movies, there was something about, you know, she
- 57:28Speaker 1: only wants the brown M & Ms because they don't
- 57:31Speaker 1: have artificial... There was nothing like that. There was nothing
- 57:35Speaker 1: that felt weird or extreme or.
- 57:38Speaker 4: I feel like the things that people kind of act
- 57:40Speaker 4: are extreme. But again... If you are doing a show
- 57:44Speaker 4: at a theater that night, they'll either agree to it
- 57:48Speaker 4: or it'll come out of your budget. Like I know
- 57:51Speaker 4: that when I do a theater show, the times that
- 57:53Speaker 4: I've gotten the sad turkey thing, not until I like
- 57:56Speaker 4: read the whole thing that I realized that was my
- 57:58Speaker 4: $ 200 catering. And I could have just said, I don't
- 58:01Speaker 4: want any catering, add the $ 200 to my bill. And
- 58:04Speaker 4: then I was like, oh, well, I'm glad I finally
- 58:05Speaker 4: read this after 10 years, you know? Yeah.
- 58:08Speaker 1: And that was something that I learned as I went
- 58:09Speaker 1: along to just like what you're saying. If you don't
- 58:11Speaker 1: pay attention to it and update it, people are just
- 58:12Speaker 1: going to keep buying you the same thing over and
- 58:15Speaker 1: over and over again, when maybe you don't want it,
- 58:18Speaker 1: need it, know about it.
- 58:19Speaker 4: But like, I would think if for somebody that whatever,
- 58:23Speaker 4: they're on the road, and I would think this would
- 58:25Speaker 4: be dumb and wasteful, is like, say, sitting here, this
- 58:28Speaker 4: is the green room at the theater. And I'm like, no,
- 58:31Speaker 4: every theater on my tour, I want white restoration hardware couches. Right.
- 58:39Speaker 4: And they have to be this version of the white couches.
- 58:43Speaker 4: So however you get that shipped to Minneapolis, that's what
- 58:47Speaker 4: the green room should look like.
- 58:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:50Speaker 4: Yeah. going to have to pay for those couches.
- 59:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:01Speaker 1: So when we were on the road, obviously, if we
- 59:03Speaker 1: were doing a tour, she has all of her dressing
- 59:06Speaker 1: room stuff that is brought from venue to venue to venue.
- 59:09Speaker 1: But for the average thing, like I never really felt
- 59:12Speaker 1: like or I ended that job thinking like the diva
- 59:17Speaker 1: thing with her feels like a persona in the same
- 59:20Speaker 1: way with Paris. She has the voice, you know, it's
- 59:23Speaker 1: like almost a suit of armor or a way to
- 59:25Speaker 1: protect herself. As opposed to it being genuinely or authentically
- 59:30Speaker 1: who she is. And again, it's sort of the people
- 59:33Speaker 1: around her who then prop this up to make it
- 59:36Speaker 1: sort of bigger than what it really is.
- 59:38Speaker 4: That's also really interesting because, you know, she has been
- 59:43Speaker 4: famous and such a diva with a beautiful voice and
- 59:47Speaker 4: for so long. And when she came up, this whole
- 59:51Speaker 4: world now of being 100% authentic online and being Alex
- 59:57Speaker 4: Earl who's just crying about her boyfriend with a zit
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: patch on her face. And even though she's gorgeous one minute,
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: she's going to show you looking puffy and hung over
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: the next.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: You have to be authentic, authentic, authentic. Well, 40, 30
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: years ago when she really rose– No, we didn't. We
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: weren't watching you get ready with me. We didn't know
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: what you were going to wear to the Oscars until
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: you arrived.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: Like, that is a persona. You only did an Oprah
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: interview every... three years and we didn't know what else
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: was happening or only if it was in People magazine,
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: you know, like still.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: You're elusive and evasive about it. You're not really, you know,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: somebody says you have a mental breakdown. You're not actually
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: talking about what happened. You're saying it was exhaustion and
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: you just needed an IV bag, you know, like it's,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: it's very different now. And I noticed that there sort
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: of was this period where she finally did do the
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: people magazine, which this was at the end of my,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: towards the end of my employment, because she was living
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: in constant fear of being outed by people. And ultimately
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: what happened is for people experiencing her during a manic episode.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: So sort of what you would see, you know, I
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: don't know who else to compare this to, but like
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: what you would see from Kanye West, something like that
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: would happen. And then the house goes on lockdown and
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: So then there's this small group of people who know
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: what's happening and see what's happening and just fear of
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: that coming out. So I believe that's why she spoke
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: on it at the time. And ultimately what happened at
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: the end of my employment was there was another assistant
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: who had been recording her without her knowledge.
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: Like video or audio?
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Video. So when she's in this manic state and there
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: was a moment when we were on the tour bus and...
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: the assistant said to me, this assistant was in danger
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: basically of being fired. She didn't like her. She didn't
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: want her around. And she just was not a good person,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: if I'm being honest.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: Well, not if she's filming her.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Right. So she winds up showing me this video and
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: she was basically like, I dare her to fire me.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: If she does, I'm going to sell this and I'm
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: going to buy a house. And we would sleep in
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: her guest house sometimes. And she was like, so, and
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: then you can sleep in my guest house. And I
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: was like, what the fuck? So she was filming her
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: in compromising positions. And I basically came forward because I
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: was living with this fear of one, I didn't want
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: to lose my job. I wanted to keep my job.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: And this girl, actually, I'll just say this, who cares?
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: This girl had already sued James Packer and won. So
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: she wound up coming for James Packer. So I'm sure
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: you've heard about this, but Mariah had a settlement with
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: James Packer, which was in the press reported as an
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: inconvenience fee for him wasting her time.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: Right, engaged but they didn't get married or something?
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: They didn't get married. People don't know this, but the
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: wedding was like happening, happening. Like her makeup artist landed
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: in Fiji and it was happening. And allegedly his James
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Packer's team rerouted his jet. So that way he could
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: not go to Fiji and marry her. So where was
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I going with this?
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: Oh, the inconvenience fee.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Oh, the inconvenience fee. So ultimately she winds up suing him.
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: So she had a settlement for that.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: She got a settlement with that. And in the midst
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: of all of this, the assistant, the other assistant came
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: forward and said that James Packer was sexually harassing her.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: all of these things. And if you saw this girl,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: you would just, you would laugh. But I guess when
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: you have that much money, sometimes you do just want
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: things to go away. And ultimately she got a $ 500, 000
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: settlement out of this guy as an assistant. She got
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: a $ 500, 000 settlement. And part of the deal was that
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: she couldn't later come forward then with Mariah and sue her,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: which ultimately she did wind up suing Mariah because I
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: wound up coming to Mariah and saying, listen, This girl's
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: been recording you without your knowledge. This is what's happening, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: And I think she was so, I think she was,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: she was very embarrassed at the time with everything that
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: happened and everybody, everybody that saw everything. And she just
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: sort of, cleared house. I was still in communication with
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: her and her team over the next few years because
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I was used in a lot of lawsuits and depositions
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: and just to say what I saw and what happened.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: And it wasn't on bad terms. Her son follows me
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: on TikTok and sees all my stuff. And I, like
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I said- The old assistant's son. Oh, no, sorry. Mariah's son.
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: Oh, okay. They're like teenagers now.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Yeah, they're like you have to be 15 now, which
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: is so crazy.
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: They always seem like they're really so sweet and adjusted.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: I never in my life ever thought like, or I
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: was always like, if I'm with somebody who really wants kids,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: like maybe then I would have kids or maybe I
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: would be like a stepmom. I could see myself doing that,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: but I never had the desire, but Rocky, especially he's
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: so funny. Like, and also they were like five years
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: old at the time, but they're surrounded by adults all
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: the time. So they spoke, Like adults, like the things
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: that they would say, so funny, so quick, so witty.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: And yeah, it was, she really was like, great to
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: work for. It was the people who were around and
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: it just gave me like a really clear picture because
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: I'm the kid who grew up watching, you know, Lifestyles
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: of the Rich and Famous or The Fabulous Life on
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: VH1 and being like, oh, my God, this is amazing, like,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: what their lives must be like.
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: I remember watching all that stuff, too, and seeing how
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: many people are in a house every day.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: You know, it is scary even, you know, when you
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: get to a certain level. And I've talked to people
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: that are like reality stars and stuff, how it is
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: a terrifying thing to hire someone to be your personal assistant.
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: Because especially in this world, they want to be it
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: and they can, you know, they act like they don't
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: want to be famous, but then they do. And then
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: you're kind of like, well, wait a minute. And then
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: your audience... might know who the assistant is. And then
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: when you end that relationship, it's like you're, you know,
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: Cruella de Vil and you took her and you fed
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: her to animals or something. You're like, no, like it just,
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: the relationship ended. She moved on or it wasn't working out.
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: Or I felt like she, you know, was not as
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: into it as before or whatever, or she has other
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: aspirations or she's getting a little bored. All that can happen.
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: But then you have to like You know, like one housewife,
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: Sutton Brown, at Real House with Beverly Hills, she ended
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: a relationship with her guy. And they make such a
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: big deal out of that. They bring it up in
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: every season.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: And she's just like— I mean, obviously something happened, but it's—yeah,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: what— I mean.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: But, I mean, she told me what happened. And it's
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: nothing— it' s nothing— other than what she said. It's just like,
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: he wasn't really doing a great job.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I mean, he looked like, he seemed like he liked
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: the attention.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: Yeah, but she didn't have a problem with that. It's
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: just like, I think it just, you know, I remember
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: I said, let me guess what happened. He became, feeling
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: he's entitled, he got one too many DMs saying you
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: should have your own show.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: And let me guess, he was probably not really even
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: doing his job the way he used to. Right. And
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: you spoke to your business person and they said, it's
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: best that you just probably give him two weeks and leave.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: And she pretty much without telling me. So I was like, yeah, like, yeah.
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: And so then it's like, Oh my God, what happened? Like,
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: I don't think little Sutton Brown was like beating him up.
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: Like it just, sometimes you're like, I don't know that
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: I want this person who's not my husband or my
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: child around me 24-7. I don't feel like they have
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: my best interests anymore. And that's a hard thing. And
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: then when you have like 12 of those people, because
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: you have this big house and you have the house
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: manager and you have the nannies and you have the
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: person that's, organizing the rooms and, and then they're like
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: getting in a fight with the, with the, you know,
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: hairdresser and they're like, you better not get me fucking fired. Like,
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: like there's all the interior.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: It's very bizarre. Yeah. It's, it's, I definitely, when I
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: started the job, I was coming in thinking, I'm like, oh,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: this is like a teen, like this is, we're all
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: working together to make her happy or something. And it
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: was just not like that. It was, it was very dark.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Like a lot of like, yeah, backstabbing, like lying.
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: Yeah, the backstabbing to be, to stay on the totem pole. Like,
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: I mean, even when I, you know, worked on this
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: TV show, you know, I could see that happening where,
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: For six months, this person is the top dog. They're in.
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: Then they're out. Yeah. And the way you could subtly
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: say something and to get her to think this or
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: do this. And, you know, like you're not going on
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: the jet this weekend. Right. going on the yacht. You're
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: not invited to do this. And so, I mean, I
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: kind of had that experience. I wasn't the assistant, but,
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: you know, I was on a TV show writing and
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: there was definitely a hierarchy and it changed over the
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: eight years.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: Where in the beginning I was, you know, the BFF
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: person and the staff.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: And then, you know, whatever. You've heard all my stories.
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: You're over me. There's someone more interesting.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: There's someone more famous. There's someone more exciting. And I'm like,
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: I totally get that. That's fine. But when it's actually
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: like you actually are the assistant and you're like in
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: their intimate business, that's like a whole nother thing.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: It definitely, yeah, it changed my life. I'm so grateful
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: for the experience. And like I said, I really loved
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: working for her. I know I got to experience things
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: I would never experience in my life. Like I was
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: regularly on a private jet or you know, being this
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: close to Beyonce or whatever it may be, like staying
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: in hotels, I never would have been like, and I
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: guess maybe part of the reason too, why people develop
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: that syndrome is like, sort of like how, when people say, oh,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: I live in LA and people are like, oh, you
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: live in LA. Like, do you see celebrities? Like, do you,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: it was, you start to get more of that in
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: a different way of, oh, well, what is she like? Oh,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: you're going to set up in her room. Sort of,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: I guess like what we were just saying, like, well,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: what does she set up in her room? Like, well,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: who have you met because of her? Or It sort
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: of turns into this whole other thing. And it's– I
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: think fame, like anything else, it can be addicting to people,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: even proximity to it. And people don't want to lose that.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: So then if you are let go from the team,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: then everybody scrambles to get their lawsuit together because it's
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: their last chance at like a big sum of money,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: they believe. I think I was the only person that
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: was around at that time that did not file a
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: lawsuit against her.
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: No, but that's also really sad and gross too. Like,
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: I mean– What would be your advice to someone who
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: actually is in a position to hire somebody? How do
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: you prevent that from happening? I don't know that you
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: can prevent it.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: I mean, I think that's why I have my son.
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: I think literally that's why I'm like, I'm like scared.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I think the first thing that I would want to
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: do is make sure that it's someone who's not posting
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: on social media.
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: I think that you have to. And that's a really
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: hard thing because that's like telling someone like they can't
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: have a cell phone. But I think you would have
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: to find someone that's just doing the job. Like I
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: always bring this up, but Suzanne Summers and her husband,
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: they had this assistant for like years and she's just
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: like a normal woman. And my mom was a realtor
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: and my mom was like, oh, I'm, I'm, they're buying
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: her a house. Like they're buying her, like she's been
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: with them for so long. She doesn't want to be
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: on TV or do the Thighmaster. It's, it's, I think
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: everybody wants that person they can have forever. I think
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: it's very hard to find in this town. Yeah.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: I was going to say, maybe you need to find
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: someone who like lives closer to the beach or in
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: the valley, like somebody who just like doesn't want to
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: be an influencer, someone who doesn't have aspirations of, you know, being,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: I guess, seen in that way. It's like the first
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: thing that I would do because even with, you know,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: her manager at the time, it was, to me, it
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: was like so glaringly obvious that like, she wanted the attention.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: She wanted to be on the show. She had, there
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: was a clip of her on Last Comic Standing, I think,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: auditioning to be on that. There was, you know, it
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: became very obvious to me at certain points, she was
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: trying to like force her daughter into the limelight who
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: was like 13 years old at the time. And I'm like,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: this doesn't work. This doesn't make sense. Like 13 year
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: olds aren't following Mariah Carey for her to like piggyback
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: off of this. And there would wind up being, you know,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: things on entertainment shows that would be like Mariah's new
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: bestie like and it's this 13 year old girl and
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: I'm just like and her selfie pal I'm like what is.
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: Going on yeah.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: I'm like this is so weird it's it's just you
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: know having I guess a sense of someone around does
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: not want to be you you know, is a good
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: first step.
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: I mean, it's like the old movie all about Eve.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: Did you ever see that?
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: I did it, but I've heard about it.
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: It's like, it's a very old black and white movie
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: and the woman is a theater star and she gets
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: this woman who is like her assistant and her like
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: maid is kind of like, I don't trust her. And
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: she literally In the end, like, takes her life, her husband,
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: and wants to be an actress. It's a very old movie.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Is this what Sunset Boulevard was based off of?
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: No.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: Sunset Boulevard is different where it's an old demon. This
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: one was, like, literally she hired an assistant, basically. That's crazy.
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: Back in the day, who then, you know, starts doing
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: her hair the way she does her hair and starts
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: doing all these things. But puts... Puts it in a
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: way with her boss that she now can't live without her.
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: She made her life so convenient, so easy, that she
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: would never want to fire this assistant because she does
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: it all. It's great. But she's really not, doesn't have
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: her best interest and wants to be the diva herself
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: and in the end is also stealing her husband. That's crazy.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: I need to watch that.
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: I always bring it up because I've seen it happen.
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: So many times in my career, you know, with other people, me, whatever,
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: I've seen it happen.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: I'm a big Kardashian fan. Like, I remember you from
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: the first episode. The very first episode ever.
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: It was our 16th or 17th wedding anniversary.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: That's so crazy.
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: Party in the backyard.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: I was watching them for years and I was like,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: And then I realized I'd been watching for four years.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: And then I was like, oh, okay. But anyway, the
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: reason that I did not like Kim at the beginning
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: was because I was a huge Paris Hilton fan. And
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: I was like, I see what you're doing. I know
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: what you're doing. Like, I see what's happening here. But, yeah,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: it's just, you know.
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: But you know what? That is part of it, though.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: That was.
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: Like, so.
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: I was friends with Chris and my son, you know,
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: who's 20. He was like in a stroller. Like he
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: was a baby. We go to the baby store that
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: they ran. She had a baby store before Dash. We
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: go to the restaurant, like fricking like marmalade or something,
- 1:15:31Speaker 4: which is now closed at the Grove at the Kyle Bass.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: And, and she's like, oh my gosh, Chris goes, we
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: had the most exciting day today. I just heard from Kim.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: Now I met Kim. I, she was, selling, she was,
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: her job was getting great items that were hard to
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: get and then she'd resell them on eBay. Oh yeah.
- 1:15:54Speaker 4: So she already was like very good at fashion and
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: she was doing the star's closets.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: Okay. And she's like, she was filming with Paris Hilton
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: and they didn't know if the chihuahua was pregnant or not.
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: They thought the chihuahua was pregnant. Oh right, right. And
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: Kim had her pee on a pregnancy stick or whatever.
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: And the producers are like, oh, my God, she's so funny.
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: And then Paris said, Kim, do you want to be
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: my new best friend? And I remember thinking, oh, wait,
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: Kim wants to be on TV. Like because I just
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: saw her as like a fashion person that like worked retail.
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: It was like just a hard worker that like knew
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: clothes and, you know, had just broken up with Ray J. Like,
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: I didn't know. Like, I was like, oh, you guys
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: want to be on TV? Like, I didn't think that
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: at all. I just thought.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Because she didn't really present that way at the time.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: I remember when the show started thinking, I mean, she
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: was like, and she said this herself. She was very boring. Like,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: the show was really about how crazy the family was. Like,
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: the things that Chloe would say or. how sarcastic Kourtney is, or,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: you know, I guess the fact that her dad, her
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: stepdad at the time is Bruce Jenner and her real
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: dad is, you know, Robert Kardashian. And it's all these
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: little things that like gave her enough.
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: But I don't, I feel like we saw her personality
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: come out over the years when it initially started. It
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: was just kind of like, okay.
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: So when you're watching it and you were like, wait,
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: she was originally like, Paris is not her friend.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: She organized her closet.
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: She organized her closet. I don't think she was ever
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: on her payroll, but when she needed a fun friend
- 1:17:32Speaker 4: to go on the carpet with, it was cool to
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: have this girl that didn't look like her. Um, I
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: think she's, you know, stopped being friends with Nicole Richie
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: or whatever. So then she started hanging out with Kim.
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: And then when Kim, when they got the reality show,
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: it was interesting. Cause it was like, Oh, my God, they're,
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: you know, stealing the Paris Hilton limelight. But it wasn't
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: really that. But then it was a little bit because
- 1:17:56Speaker 4: it was like then when they became– I think at
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: first it was like, oh, you go try Luscious.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: And then when they started to become really popular, then
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: it was like I think at one time the Hiltons
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: were– they never were like, we don't like them. But
- 1:18:11Speaker 4: I think some people felt they had.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: To like choose a camp. Oh, Paris was like that.
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: Yeah, you had to choose a camp. Yeah. And Paris
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: was still– the bigger star.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: And it's really cool that now that they're adults and
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: mothers and everything.
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: That they like came together and kind of realized like,
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: this is fun. And we, we still like when they
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: still have like a funny love together the way you would,
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: if you got together with your old sorority sister and
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: you're just like die laughing, you don't have to see
- 1:18:38Speaker 4: each other every day.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: But you still have that like fun. Ness that made
- 1:18:42Speaker 4: you guys laugh. But yeah, I mean, that was, she
- 1:18:46Speaker 4: did see what Paris did and, was like, okay. And
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: then of course the reality show blew them all up.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Right. And she does credit her with that now of,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: you know, not being able to have done what she
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: did without Paris. And I, I mean.
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: But being there from the beginning, it was not like,
- 1:19:06Speaker 4: she used Paris's friendship. She really didn't. She really didn't.
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: Like it was, you know, other people saying you should
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: have a reality show. Her being on that red carpet helped.
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: They got a publicist to put her name out there.
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: And then, but at first she was like trying to
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: be like an e-news reporter and things like that. And then,
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: and then it, but it took years for like A-listers
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: to like them. Oh, yeah.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Years. Oh, they were for so long, I remember, you know,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: and they've talked about this too, all the horrible things
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: that all these people would say about them who then,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: you know, come around and want to be their friend or... Yeah.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: And so that's really interesting. I don't know that I.
- 1:19:48Speaker 4: I.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Don't know if it's as much as the show, as
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: much as... And I don't know how much you want
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: to talk about this, but it's... For me, it was
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: like the tape was what the Paris... You know, I
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: was just like, OK, like I felt that Paris, it
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: was a victim of circumstances with the ex. And with Kim,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: I felt it was very much so intentional. And I
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: love Kim.
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: I mean, I think what's interesting is that was like
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: the one thing that we could never forget. Discuss, joke about.
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: So if anyone came on Chelsea Lately and there was
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: like a Kim Kardashian story, any Kardashian story, the producers
- 1:20:28Speaker 4: would say, just don't write a joke about the tape.
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: You cannot talk about the tape. But then when Kim
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: did SNL, she joked about the tape for the first
- 1:20:39Speaker 4: time ever. And it's interesting because it's just not a
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: big deal. Now the youth doesn't care. If you were
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: to tell somebody like, you see that lady with the skims? Well,
- 1:20:50Speaker 4: she had a sex tape with her boyfriend when she was,
- 1:20:52Speaker 4: you know, 22 years old. I don't think a 15-year-old
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: would care. They'd be like, who doesn't?
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: No one cares because everyone has a link in their
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: bio for an OnlyFans now.
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: It's very different. But at that time, there had to
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: be a narrative, again, that somehow it's out there and
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: it's that vivid and we might as well make lemonade
- 1:21:12Speaker 4: out of it. Yeah. We can't put the toothpaste back
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: in the case, so we'll each just get money from it.
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: And then the Ray J comes out. And now even
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: when Ray J or they're going back and forth and
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: suing each other, I don't even know. But the point
- 1:21:24Speaker 4: is the audience does not care.
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: No.
- 1:21:28Speaker 4: They don't care if they were lied to 20 years ago.
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: No.
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: Or if they weren't. They don't care.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I do think it's like super interesting though because I
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: view Kim as someone who's like very vulnerable and authentic
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: and like shares like so much. And it feels like
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: it's like the only thing in the whole story that's
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: like I don't know. I just, it's, I'm sure she'll
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: one day in 20 years, like have a book and
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: maybe say. I mean, the.
- 1:21:54Speaker 4: True story is out there and it's.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: It's true.
- 1:21:58Speaker 5: It's true.
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: I mean, it was, you know.
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: They, I think.
- 1:22:03Speaker 4: They knew what they were doing and.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: I guess were my.
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: You know, how it's not, it wasn't the story we
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: were totally told.
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: But yes.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: I guess my.
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: Now it's out there.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: Soft spot for Paris and this comes from. like and
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: again I don't know the legalities of all of this
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: and I guess I was told that you have to
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: be able to sign something for them to be able
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: to distribute it in the way that they did even
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: with Paris she says to this day that she never
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: made a dollar off of it in that documentary that
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: she did she was sobbing about the fact like I
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: wanted to be like Princess Diana and now never no
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: one was ever gonna view me in that way and
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: it just felt so real to me and then I
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: think back on the times where Kim was talking about
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: this and it's like the first episode and of course
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: she had the uncomfortable, monotone voice where she wasn't comfortable
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: on camera. And she's just like, you know, or with
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: the clip of Chris, actually, she's like, you know, at
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: one point or at first I thought, what did she
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: say something about? I don't know. She's like, but as
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: her manager. And so she like flips this whole thing.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: And I just sort of felt like, look, in retrospect,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: it felt like she took something that happened really dark
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: to her friend and then used it to sort of
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: catapult her fame. That was just like my perspective on it.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: I don't know that if I were Paris and that
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: is the way that things transpired, that I would be
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: able to forgive somebody for that. But at the same time,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: it's been whatever, literally 20 years.
- 1:23:26Speaker 4: Or at this point, she... looks at it. She doesn't
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: care anymore.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: You know?
- 1:23:33Speaker 4: And it's like, I don't know. Um, this was so
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: fun getting to talk to you. Uh, the book is
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: The Last Diva.
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:23:40Speaker 4: Where can they get it?
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: So it's on Amazon, paperback, hardcover, audio book, ebook. I
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: narrate the audio book. Um, yeah.
- 1:23:50Speaker 4: I mean, it's a big, long book. This is not
- 1:23:53Speaker 4: some lazy deal. I'm excited to read it. And, um, Oh,
- 1:23:57Speaker 4: and you dedicate it to yourself.
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:24:00Speaker 4: To myself for making this happen when everyone told me
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: I couldn't. Yes. Yes. Writing a book is a big,
- 1:24:07Speaker 4: huge thing. And it's Matthew Stevens is the author, but
- 1:24:13Speaker 4: it's The Last Diva, a novel. And tell me also
- 1:24:16Speaker 4: about your other product.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: This is amazing. My product line. So it's Illusion Bronze.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: We're known for being a custom self-tanner. So it's blended
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: for each client based on your hair color, eye color,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: skin tone. So that way you're not going to be orange, basically.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 1:24:28Speaker 4: I'm so excited to try it.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: This is how all the celebrities do it, actually, is
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: they have something made custom for them. It's sort of
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: like color theory for self-tanning.
- 1:24:36Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: So it's based on your natural hair color, eye color,
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: skin tone.
- 1:24:39Speaker 4: So you just shake it up and rub it on?
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: And is it instant or it takes a while to come?
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: Yeah, you do leave it on for at least three hours,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: but three to eight, depending on how dark you want
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: it to be.
- 1:24:48Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh. I'm so excited. Yeah.
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:24:50Speaker 4: Oh my, thank you so much. And again, it's maddie.addy
