Starting Wednesday, July 1st, new customs charges hit packages from outside the EU—even those under €150—each now costing €3. This could make “cheap” deals less appealing and open the door for scams. Expect more fake texts and emails pretending to be from “Revenue,” asking for direct payments. Delivery services like An Post will never send payment links. Be extra cautious: fees apply when packages arrive, not when ordered. If your item ships before July 1st but arrives after midnight on June 30th, you’ll still pay.
