- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listenings kf I AM six forty the Bill Handles
- 0:04Speaker 1: show on demand on the iHeartRadio apps.
- 0:12Speaker 2: But the Iranians are getting closer and closer because they're
- 0:15Speaker 2: building weapons grade level plutonium and according to a lot
- 0:19Speaker 2: of sources, they have enough to make I think three
- 0:22Speaker 2: or four nuclear weapons. Well, there aren't many people around
- 0:26Speaker 2: the world leaders that are willing to tell Iran tell
- 0:29Speaker 2: you what. You either step down or we're gonna blow
- 0:32Speaker 2: you to bits. Donald Trump is one of them. Matter
- 0:34Speaker 2: of fact, Donald Trump may be the only one.
- 0:37Speaker 3: And now handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:41Speaker 3: Bill Handle, and.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Good morning everybody. It is the second day of March
- 0:48Speaker 4: on a Monday.
- 0:49Speaker 2: As we started another week, we started another month, and
- 0:51Speaker 2: we sort of already.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Started another year.
- 0:54Speaker 2: As we go ahead and Cam, I hate these boring weekends,
- 0:58Speaker 2: don't you another boring weekend?
- 1:00Speaker 4: Neighborhood.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Weather's great to sit around and okay, listen to a
- 1:05Speaker 2: little bit of music.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Maybe go play golf, and.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Then we reluctantly roll into the show on Monday. Yeah,
- 1:12Speaker 2: do I have a lot to talk about? Do we
- 1:14Speaker 2: have a lot to talk about? When I started handling
- 1:17Speaker 2: the law at eight o'clock on Saturday morning, the news
- 1:20Speaker 2: had broken that the US had attacked Iran.
- 1:24Speaker 4: And we'll do a lot more than that. I'll give
- 1:26Speaker 4: you some.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Information about it, maybe some insight or at least my
- 1:32Speaker 2: opinions on what's going on. And it's one of those
- 1:36Speaker 2: where everybody's right, everybody's wrong. Both sides of the argument
- 1:42Speaker 2: on this one we shouldn't go in, We have no
- 1:44Speaker 2: business going in.
- 1:45Speaker 4: They're right and wrong.
- 1:47Speaker 2: And then the other side says we should have gone
- 1:50Speaker 2: in absolutely right and wrong. And I'll jump into that.
- 1:54Speaker 2: It's a little more complex than just first meet see
- 1:59Speaker 2: I quick hello to the crowd con O. Good morning,
- 2:03Speaker 2: good morning, Bill, good.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Morning, and there's Neil, good morning.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Hello to Will, Good morning Bill. Here you go, Amy,
- 2:14Speaker 2: Hello Bill?
- 2:17Speaker 5: What oh you're wearing your Disney shirt?
- 2:20Speaker 4: My Disney shirt that I started.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Pointing at himself smiling. I'm like, what is he doing?
- 2:24Speaker 2: I was pointing to the Disney logo and that was
- 2:28Speaker 2: this absolutely lovely shirt that Amy got me, and I
- 2:31Speaker 2: sort of myself, I would never ever wear it in public.
- 2:34Speaker 4: So do I consider this public? Yeah, there's a five
- 2:37Speaker 4: of us that are looking at the shirt. It was
- 2:40Speaker 4: a lovely shirt. It really is. There's no question there
- 2:43Speaker 4: is for your first of all, and good morning Anne.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Okay, microphone on microphone off, here we go.
- 2:52Speaker 5: She's saying good morning, not hearing it through the headphones.
- 2:56Speaker 2: In any case, this is for you, Yes, Amy and Neil,
- 3:02Speaker 2: This is for you now. I don't know if you
- 3:04Speaker 2: get History Vault, one of the streaming services out there.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I happen to love it because it's it's yeah, it's
- 3:12Speaker 2: a paid channel with the History Channel. It's one of
- 3:17Speaker 2: their paid platforms, and it's mainly documentaries and historical films,
- 3:23Speaker 2: and you know, it's just one of those you know,
- 3:26Speaker 2: this is what it's all about kind of platforms. I
- 3:30Speaker 2: just saw a documentary on Disney, a six part documentary
- 3:34Speaker 2: on Disney.
- 3:36Speaker 4: It is.
- 3:36Speaker 2: You two would love it because it's not just a biography.
- 3:42Speaker 2: It is a hey, geography works one. I don't know
- 3:46Speaker 2: if it's eye works. I don't think it is. I
- 3:48Speaker 2: don't think it is. No oob I works as part
- 3:51Speaker 2: of it. Of course, you know, because he was he
- 3:55Speaker 2: was the first. He was the first animator that Disney
- 3:57Speaker 2: had and stayed there for many years until he went off.
- 4:00Speaker 4: And because he was.
- 4:01Speaker 3: The only one I think that left with Disney when
- 4:03Speaker 3: he was when he left, what.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Was Yeah, you know they kept him, that's true, that's true.
- 4:07Speaker 2: But in any case, yeah, you know quite a bit
- 4:09Speaker 2: about this.
- 4:10Speaker 3: This is good.
- 4:11Speaker 4: But in any case it is well worth seeing.
- 4:14Speaker 2: You two would love it, So if you can do
- 4:16Speaker 2: it's sort of a let me go back to it's
- 4:18Speaker 2: a history of Disney, but with a viewpoint of what
- 4:23Speaker 2: a visionary he was technologically speaking, what he developed and
- 4:28Speaker 2: his vision, and it is the guy was nothing short
- 4:31Speaker 2: of incredible what he created. The first sound cartoon, the
- 4:34Speaker 2: first technicolor cartoon, the first feature film cartoon, the first
- 4:39Speaker 2: theme park that was ever developed, the technology involved, the
- 4:45Speaker 2: audio animatronics that were involved. It's the first, the first,
- 4:48Speaker 2: the first, the first, the first, going down his entire life,
- 4:53Speaker 2: it is. You will appreciate it. You want to watch it,
- 4:56Speaker 2: So go to the history vault and I'm sure they
- 4:58Speaker 2: have a one week freebie something on it.
- 5:01Speaker 4: But it's you two would love it. Okay, what else
- 5:03Speaker 4: is going on? Oh? Yeah, we attacked Iran. That was.
- 5:09Speaker 2: That was up in the air. But as I had
- 5:11Speaker 2: said earlier throughout the last couple of weeks, when the
- 5:14Speaker 2: president says it may happen anytime it's going to happen.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I don't think he doesn't keep secrets.
- 5:21Speaker 4: He No, he doesn't, right, he does. And so we're
- 5:25Speaker 4: going to talk an awful lot about this. Now, the
- 5:28Speaker 4: name of it.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Every time we have an attack like this, the name
- 5:31Speaker 2: of this one is epic fury. Remember desert storm, desert shield.
- 5:37Speaker 2: This one is epic fury.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Hard to say with a straight face.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Now, well, originally it was going to be uh Iran
- 5:45Speaker 2: Hot doc jfez Iran Goodbye and Farsi. But it they
- 5:52Speaker 2: decided it was too difficult to pronounce, and that's what
- 5:55Speaker 2: they should have done. We're going to blow the hell
- 5:57Speaker 2: out of you. So we're gonna talk more about this
- 6:01Speaker 2: as we spend the day. But first let's do it. It's
- 6:05Speaker 2: time for Handle on the News with Amy, with Neil
- 6:10Speaker 2: with Me and the whole crowd lead story and.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Los Angeles.
- 6:19Speaker 2: This morning we woke up to four blown tires on
- 6:23Speaker 2: potholes that were promised to be fixed.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Oh no, I got that wrong.
- 6:28Speaker 2: We invaded Iran over the weekend on Saturday. And the
- 6:33Speaker 2: war if you want to call it a war, and
- 6:35Speaker 2: that is a topic in and of itself, that I'm
- 6:37Speaker 2: going to explore at seven o'clock. So far for US
- 6:41Speaker 2: troops have been killed. I'll me to go through it,
- 6:44Speaker 2: because there's so many pieces that we have to go through.
- 6:47Speaker 2: The attack itself, what happened to the hierarchy, the supreme
- 6:55Speaker 2: leader of Iran, many killed along with many of the scene,
- 7:00Speaker 2: your staff, and what they're doing with we're doing Pete
- 7:02Speaker 2: Hegseith was just on just a few minutes ago in
- 7:05Speaker 2: a live interview or a press conference.
- 7:09Speaker 4: So there there is a lot going on, so stay tuned.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Oh and we're gonna.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Try something completely new at eight thirty. Retro radio the
- 7:18Speaker 2: kind of radio we used to have. And this is
- 7:21Speaker 2: perfect today. Why because when I started listening to talk radio,
- 7:26Speaker 2: it was in the sixties and it was should we
- 7:29Speaker 2: get out of Vietnam? Well, today it's going to be
- 7:34Speaker 2: should we have invaded Iran? Perfect fodder for retro talk radio.
- 7:40Speaker 4: And I'll explain that. I'm going to do that at eight.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Thirty because that gets your your involvement into talk radio,
- 7:47Speaker 2: which has not happened very very often in twenty five
- 7:50Speaker 2: thirty years.
- 7:51Speaker 3: What you remember those old what say you Los Angeles?
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yes, exactly? The phone that's that's exactly what we're gonna do. Okay,
- 7:59Speaker 2: that's coming up at eight thirty today.
- 8:02Speaker 5: Taking it to the streets, thousands of people gathered outside
- 8:06Speaker 5: the Federal Building in Westwood celebrating the fall of Iran's
- 8:12Speaker 5: supreme leader, the Ayatola Ali Hamini, and called for a
- 8:17Speaker 5: free Iran. I didn't know this. Iran's the largest population
- 8:22Speaker 5: of Iranians outside Iran is in la Oh.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Absolutely absolutely.
- 8:27Speaker 5: And these demonstrators were draped in American, Israeli and Iranian
- 8:31Speaker 5: flags somewhere in green hats that said make Iran great again.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 2: The smart ones ended up leaving Iran during the revolution
- 8:41Speaker 2: nineteen seventy nine and then became more difficult.
- 8:44Speaker 4: And it was a huge Jewish population.
- 8:46Speaker 2: By the way, if you'll notice the Iranian population here,
- 8:49Speaker 2: many many are are Jewish. You mean the Persian, Yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 2: the Iranian, the Persian Jews.
- 8:55Speaker 3: They stopped calling themselves the Iranians.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Oh, I know, actually they do, but they yeah, they
- 9:00Speaker 2: call themselves persusally, that's true, Yeah, they actually do. And
- 9:05Speaker 2: the reason I know there's a huge Jewish population is
- 9:08Speaker 2: the synagogue we belonged to was about forty percent Persian.
- 9:14Speaker 2: And I noticed they were all Jewish because it was
- 9:16Speaker 2: a synagogue.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Does that work?
- 9:19Speaker 3: Yes, they were lost, horribly lost.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Yes, So it was a huge Hills.
- 9:24Speaker 2: By the way, Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills is one hundred
- 9:27Speaker 2: percent Iranian.
- 9:29Speaker 4: It is solid Iranian.
- 9:31Speaker 2: It's well, can I tell you more chandeliers are sold
- 9:36Speaker 2: in Los Angeles than almost any place in the world.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Marble floors, a lot of columns, a lot of furniture.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Very their houses all look like marlilded, very gilded.
- 9:50Speaker 3: So, as Bill said, he's going to get more into
- 9:53Speaker 3: this later, but it is fascinating with something like this
- 9:55Speaker 3: takes place. You have the killing of the Supreme Leader
- 9:59Speaker 3: by the really United States partnership there. This creates a
- 10:04Speaker 3: massive power vacuum, and apparently the the persons who are
- 10:12Speaker 3: in charge right now under a Iran's constitution is a
- 10:15Speaker 3: three person leadership council. So you've got until someone's named
- 10:20Speaker 3: the new Supreme Leader, they've got this. Uh, these three people,
- 10:24Speaker 3: including moderate President Masud I can't even say thats has
- 10:31Speaker 3: she can? Yeah, who can pronounce anyway, So there's three
- 10:34Speaker 3: of them that are doing this obviously until a new
- 10:39Speaker 3: one is is uh yeah, forty years right, yeah, this
- 10:44Speaker 3: is well, there's only been one transfer of power one
- 10:48Speaker 3: and that was when Kumani died and Homani became the
- 10:53Speaker 3: Supreme Leader.
- 10:54Speaker 4: And but that was a peaceful transition. This is not
- 10:57Speaker 4: so peaceful.
- 10:59Speaker 2: And uh, and if we don't even know if there's
- 11:01Speaker 2: going to be called the Supreme Leader anymore.
- 11:04Speaker 4: They're arguing right now.
- 11:05Speaker 2: I mean, do they use the name Grand Puba or
- 11:09Speaker 2: Imperial Wizard.
- 11:10Speaker 3: I'd switch it up, I'd say leader Supreme.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Yes. So it's they're they're running.
- 11:16Speaker 2: And one point I want to make, and this is
- 11:19Speaker 2: and I'm gonna talk more about the seven o'clock when
- 11:22Speaker 2: the war first started, when the first attack came the Iranians.
- 11:27Speaker 2: We're talking about we're going to retaliate in a massive form.
- 11:31Speaker 2: The United States and Israel would be sorry for what
- 11:33Speaker 2: they did. I mean, just all this kind of language.
- 11:36Speaker 2: We're going to retaliate and then, you know, in a
- 11:39Speaker 2: way that they've never seen before. All that is done.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Now it's we're going to defend ourselves. We're calling on
- 11:46Speaker 2: our people. You're not hearing much about the massive retaliatory
- 11:51Speaker 2: campaign of Iran. You know, for example, air superiority is
- 11:56Speaker 2: one none of the planes are being shot down. None,
- 12:02Speaker 2: It's the United States and Israel can bomb any target
- 12:06Speaker 2: in Iran at will, and so we're going to talk more,
- 12:10Speaker 2: certainly more about that coming up seven o'clock.
- 12:13Speaker 5: Although you did see that was a Kuwait that's shot down.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, the only two, Yeah, the only two American
- 12:19Speaker 1: just shot down.
- 12:21Speaker 4: It was friendly fire.
- 12:22Speaker 5: Yeah, the pilots are all okay.
- 12:23Speaker 4: But yeah, they were able to bail out. And there's
- 12:25Speaker 4: video of that too.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Mass shooting with motivation. A guy opened fire outside a
- 12:34Speaker 5: bar in Austin, Texas, early early yesterday morning about two am,
- 12:39Speaker 5: killed two people wounded fourteen. Officials say the guy had
- 12:43Speaker 5: driven by the bar, Beauford's Backyard Beer Garden, several times
- 12:49Speaker 5: and then pulled out guns and started shooting. He was
- 12:52Speaker 5: shot and killed by police. Fifty three year old guy
- 12:55Speaker 5: from Senegal. He was naturalized citizen, but he was originally
- 12:59Speaker 5: from Senegal, and they're saying that it may have terrorist
- 13:03Speaker 5: ties to it. He had a hoodie on that said
- 13:06Speaker 5: property of Allah. Was wearing a T shirt with an
- 13:09Speaker 5: Iranian flag on it. A Kuran was found in his vehicle.
- 13:15Speaker 2: I'm surprised there was only one and that was the
- 13:19Speaker 2: other issue. We expected. I think the Allies Western world
- 13:24Speaker 2: expected that you'd see a lot of these forces come up,
- 13:30Speaker 2: Allies proxies of Iran so far as Bela seems to
- 13:35Speaker 2: be the only one that's had been being attacked a
- 13:37Speaker 2: little bit by the Houthis and a little bit but
- 13:40Speaker 2: from Iraq, but not very much. It's terrorists at this point.
- 13:46Speaker 2: And then I'm going to talk about another thing is
- 13:48Speaker 2: why now? Why now is the attack? And very good
- 13:54Speaker 2: I think the administration has done a very good job
- 13:56Speaker 2: of explaining what the timing of this attack, and I'll
- 14:00Speaker 2: jump into that also coming in.
- 14:03Speaker 3: All right, So other peripheral things that happen when you
- 14:07Speaker 3: have attacks on Iran. You've got hundreds of thousands of
- 14:11Speaker 3: stranded travelers that are scrambling to make new connections, get
- 14:14Speaker 3: through airlines, all these GMed phone lines and everything go
- 14:18Speaker 3: down with this. You've got shutdowns at airports in Dubai
- 14:22Speaker 3: and Abu Dhabi and Doa and all these places. So
- 14:27Speaker 3: they've got all kinds of issues. I know you're a
- 14:30Speaker 3: fan of history, Bill, do you know that the people
- 14:34Speaker 3: of Dubai don't like the flintstones, but the people of
- 14:38Speaker 3: Abu Dhabi doo.
- 14:41Speaker 4: No I didn't know that.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Abu dobbi doo.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Ah.
- 14:51Speaker 2: By the way, I was talking to lindsay, we're scheduled
- 14:54Speaker 2: to go to Dubai.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Later on this year, and you know what cautious about that?
- 15:03Speaker 5: We should pay attention to the vacations you planned, because
- 15:05Speaker 5: didn't you have a vacation planned to Israel right before?
- 15:09Speaker 4: Yeah? We did, and we can we canceled that one.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Yeah, we canceled that, and we have one through Dubai.
- 15:17Speaker 4: We're going to go because I wanted to fly Emirates.
- 15:19Speaker 4: I've never tried Emirates before.
- 15:20Speaker 3: And oh I love it.
- 15:23Speaker 2: That's what That's what everybody says, that it's worth it
- 15:26Speaker 2: just to be on that airplane. So do you know
- 15:28Speaker 2: how long a flight it is from Los Angeles to
- 15:32Speaker 2: Dubai And it's non stop fourteen hours, right, sixteen hours
- 15:37Speaker 2: and change on an airplane?
- 15:40Speaker 3: Thailand Thailand?
- 15:41Speaker 4: No, it's no, No, Thailand is not. I think Thailand
- 15:44Speaker 4: is fourteen hours.
- 15:45Speaker 5: The time flies.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I've been on that, well said, you've been on what flightsland?
- 15:51Speaker 5: No, the one from oh from lax and it was
- 15:55Speaker 5: uh or Dubai, sorry, Dubai.
- 15:57Speaker 2: And it was Emirates. You flew Wow, so how was
- 16:01Speaker 2: first class? Oh no, you work here at iHeart I'm sorry,
- 16:05Speaker 2: come on.
- 16:06Speaker 5: In, the Prime Minister of Britain, Kirs Starmer now says
- 16:11Speaker 5: he'll give the US permission to use UK bases for
- 16:15Speaker 5: Iranian missions. He had reversed his decision that barred the
- 16:21Speaker 5: US from using UK bases. He says the only way
- 16:24Speaker 5: to stop the threat is to destroy the missiles at
- 16:27Speaker 5: their source, in their storage depots, or the launchers which
- 16:30Speaker 5: are used to fire the missiles. That's according to Starmer,
- 16:33Speaker 5: and that's a lot of what Pete Heigseth was saying
- 16:35Speaker 5: during his briefing today at the Pentagon. It's like, we
- 16:38Speaker 5: want to knock out their missile launchers too.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I don't know how how much he knew about the
- 16:46Speaker 2: ability of Iran to launch shut this many and this
- 16:51Speaker 2: deadly a missile force, because as far as any kind
- 16:56Speaker 2: of conventional warfare, I mean, I mean, Iran doesn't have.
- 17:00Speaker 2: But their big thing is the missile in ballistic missiles.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Even although we were talking to Jordannah Miller, who's in
- 17:06Speaker 5: Jerusalem right now and has spent much of the weekend
- 17:08Speaker 5: in a bomb shelter, but she said that there are
- 17:13Speaker 5: Iran has been firing retaliatory strikes, but she says they're
- 17:17Speaker 5: not nearly as many as they would have expected because
- 17:21Speaker 5: we took out a lot of the launchers.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Yeah, and then we'll see, Hegseth said.
- 17:26Speaker 2: And so it's interesting because the president talked about regime
- 17:29Speaker 2: change and HEAPSEX talked about the risk factor of Iran.
- 17:34Speaker 2: But when all this is said and done, and that's
- 17:36Speaker 2: another thing I want to cover, Man, what happens now.
- 17:39Speaker 2: There's a lot of questions of what happened now and
- 17:41Speaker 2: big picture I really don't know. Small picture that is
- 17:45Speaker 2: the ability of Iran to wage war. Boy, is that
- 17:48Speaker 2: going to be degraded big time? Does that bode well
- 17:52Speaker 2: for the media future? Probably, But there's a long term
- 17:55Speaker 2: play that I want to talk about.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Also. Well, when you sneeze, just sneeze in the Middle East,
- 18:03Speaker 3: prices for oil go up. So now after the earunning
- 18:08Speaker 3: and attack there, or the attack on Iran rather, oil
- 18:12Speaker 3: prices rose ten percent when the markets opened, And this
- 18:18Speaker 3: underscores that anything that happens in that area. You know,
- 18:21Speaker 3: if there's a widening conflict in the Middle East, we're
- 18:23Speaker 3: going to feel it. US. Israeli attacks on Iran could
- 18:29Speaker 3: severely restrict supplies from the key oil and gas producing region. Obviously,
- 18:35Speaker 3: like I said, anything that happens, we're gonna feel it.
- 18:38Speaker 3: So you're gonna go from seventy three bucks a barrel
- 18:41Speaker 3: on Friday on Sunday they crossed eighty dollars a barrel
- 18:45Speaker 3: and what we've seen high as one hundred.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 2: No, it's gonna go up, and already has gone up dramatically.
- 18:51Speaker 2: But it's I'm gonna argue, let me pause it this
- 18:54Speaker 2: that it's a lot worse than what you just said
- 18:56Speaker 2: in terms of the ability of oil to be told
- 19:01Speaker 2: and particularly transported, because you have you have that gulph
- 19:04Speaker 2: of Hormuz right, Hormuse straight, which is that pizza land
- 19:09Speaker 2: piece of land that juts out so between Saudi Arabia
- 19:14Speaker 2: and Iran, tiny little channel if you look at the
- 19:19Speaker 2: big picture, that can be blocked very easily if Iran
- 19:23Speaker 2: blocks it. And right now the ships going through are
- 19:26Speaker 2: not going through, and they're doing that prophylactically, they're going
- 19:29Speaker 2: we don't want to get involved. If they block it,
- 19:34Speaker 2: then President Trump, I'm gonna guess now knowing President Trump
- 19:37Speaker 2: will simply say to Iran, you let tankers through or
- 19:41Speaker 2: else what is or else take out the entire refinery
- 19:46Speaker 2: industry of Iran, wipe it out, so they cannot ship
- 19:50Speaker 2: in a ship out one barrel of oil.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Now what does that do?
- 19:53Speaker 2: That destroys the economy of Iran subsequent to the fall
- 19:58Speaker 2: of this regime, I mean.
- 20:00Speaker 4: That that happens.
- 20:01Speaker 2: So it is really tricky and Iran now you've got
- 20:05Speaker 2: the hierarchy, You've got the Grand the new Grand Puba,
- 20:08Speaker 2: whoever the hell is going to be in the head
- 20:09Speaker 2: of the Revolutionary Guard saying what do we do now?
- 20:15Speaker 3: And that does rename it to the Gulf of America too.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I wonder what you call it? The you know,
- 20:23Speaker 2: the horror moves. I always get conflated with it. It's
- 20:25Speaker 2: not the Gulf. It is the straight straight of her moves. Yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 2: so it is. It's very very tricky. And boy, you
- 20:35Speaker 2: talk about some long term planning on this one. Just
- 20:38Speaker 2: what is going to happen because once those oil refineries,
- 20:41Speaker 2: keep in mind that Israel and the United States can
- 20:44Speaker 2: take out every single oil refinery, of refinery facility, every transport,
- 20:49Speaker 2: every bit of the hub that transports oil out and
- 20:52Speaker 2: by the way, Iran almost one hundred percent of its
- 20:55Speaker 2: income is oil. No oil, no Iran people live under bridge,
- 21:00Speaker 2: except there won't be bridges left.
- 21:02Speaker 4: It's really tricky.
- 21:04Speaker 5: No fly zone, so LA Police helicopters have been told
- 21:10Speaker 5: you cannot go in LAX airspace. LAPD Captain Jonathan Larsen.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Larsen says the FAA imposed restrictions on air support operations
- 21:21Speaker 5: and all general aviation in neighborhoods in Los Angeles International
- 21:26Speaker 5: Airport eight airspace covering three police divisions, effective immediately and
- 21:32Speaker 5: until further notice.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Good place now to start burglarising, because you know the
- 21:38Speaker 2: helicopters aren't going to be overhead with that zillion lumen
- 21:42Speaker 2: candle power. You ever seen it under one of those
- 21:45Speaker 2: helicopters when the light is shining on you?
- 21:48Speaker 3: My man? Are you asking me? Not only have I
- 21:53Speaker 3: seen that, I've heard them yell from up there to
- 21:58Speaker 3: stay in your house because they're letting the canine units out.
- 22:02Speaker 3: It's crazy. I've heard that. We've been here for fifteen
- 22:07Speaker 3: sixteen years, and I've heard that at least three times.
- 22:11Speaker 3: It's nuts. I see them every day.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Why does do every time we talk about neighborhoods that
- 22:19Speaker 2: you're going to die in by tomorrow afternoon.
- 22:21Speaker 4: It's your neighborhood.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Well, I'm just saying, depends on which side of the
- 22:26Speaker 3: boulevard you're on.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Us.
- 22:28Speaker 5: It looks like such a nice neighborhood.
- 22:31Speaker 3: It is. It's a lovely neighborhood. But we're snuggled between
- 22:34Speaker 3: two ghettos. That's what that's la for you, all right?
- 22:38Speaker 3: This story breaks my heart. I read about it last night.
- 22:42Speaker 3: You've got a twelve year old girl who died after
- 22:47Speaker 3: a bully related attack at a recita receipt a school
- 22:51Speaker 3: rather and apparently she succumbed to these injuries sustained when
- 22:57Speaker 3: she was hitting the head with a metal water bott
- 23:00Speaker 3: and Kimberly Zavaletta, on February seventeenth was struck in a
- 23:08Speaker 3: hallway at the campus it includes six through twelfth grade.
- 23:13Speaker 3: She stepped in to defend her older sister, apparently he
- 23:16Speaker 3: was being bullied by other students, and she was sent home,
- 23:21Speaker 3: treated at the hospital, but collapsed days later. I don't know,
- 23:24Speaker 3: as a parent how you don't tear that school down
- 23:29Speaker 3: brick by brick with your bare hands. But there is
- 23:33Speaker 3: a GoFundMe site that is seeking one hundred and forty
- 23:37Speaker 3: thousand help pay medical and burial expenses.
- 23:40Speaker 2: But yeah, and when the lawsuit hits, and it's going
- 23:43Speaker 2: to be a big lawsuit, then the issue is going.
- 23:45Speaker 4: To come out.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Was the gal who hit or bullied this young girl?
- 23:52Speaker 2: Did the school know about the pattern? Were there enough security?
- 23:55Speaker 2: There were there people in the hallway?
- 23:57Speaker 3: Well, first of all, it's attack with it's assault with
- 24:00Speaker 3: a deadly weapon, Yeah it is.
- 24:01Speaker 4: But this is a minor. Is this is a minor?
- 24:03Speaker 4: And so accerently though.
- 24:05Speaker 3: They've said that this child has been known to be
- 24:08Speaker 3: a problem.
- 24:09Speaker 2: See that's the problem. That's the issue, because you have
- 24:12Speaker 2: the mainstream kids. If you have a kid who is
- 24:14Speaker 2: a problem like this, they're gone from the school.
- 24:17Speaker 4: That's what I would do.
- 24:18Speaker 2: And they leave these kids in for way, way too
- 24:21Speaker 2: long a period until something like this horror, horrible happens.
- 24:27Speaker 4: Okay, moving on.
- 24:29Speaker 5: For those who love award shows, and who doesn't, Right,
- 24:33Speaker 5: there's some sad news. The Writer's Guild of America West
- 24:36Speaker 5: has canceled its awards ceremony. It's supposed to happen this
- 24:39Speaker 5: weekend because it's staff union members continue to strike demanding
- 24:44Speaker 5: higher pay and protections against a I I.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Didn't even though there was a Writer's Guild of America
- 24:51Speaker 1: Awards ceremony. There's an award ceremony for everything out there.
- 24:57Speaker 5: Yeah, they've got the Writer's Guild, They've got the Director's Guild,
- 25:00Speaker 5: got the Producers Guild. They just had the Actors Awards
- 25:02Speaker 5: last night.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Yeah, they had the saga after do they have.
- 25:06Speaker 2: For example, the meter Maid's Guild that they're gonna have
- 25:09Speaker 2: an awards ceremony?
- 25:10Speaker 3: Ticketing most surprised ticketing.
- 25:13Speaker 5: I like that.
- 25:13Speaker 3: You can't believe how they sneaked this ticket on there.
- 25:17Speaker 5: The best excuse ever given to get out of a ticket.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's solid, but I'm very strong. No industry more
- 25:23Speaker 3: than Hollywood is trying to kill itself.
- 25:25Speaker 4: It's and be so self aggrandizing.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Aren't we great? Aren't we bitching people? Okay, let's do
- 25:30Speaker 2: one more before we bailt Mosquitoes are more than a
- 25:34Speaker 2: past right now. They're back with horrible revenge right now
- 25:38Speaker 2: in southern California, and it's a little early for them.
- 25:42Speaker 2: So we've got these strange weather patterns. Obviously it's very
- 25:45Speaker 2: warn yesterday was what eighty one, eighty two, and so
- 25:51Speaker 2: they typically start becoming a problem in May right now,
- 25:55Speaker 2: they are they're becoming a major problem. Will tell you
- 26:00Speaker 2: if you look up, you can look up how Disney
- 26:04Speaker 2: World takes care of them in Florida with garlic spray
- 26:09Speaker 2: and all kinds of things. It's pretty fascinating. And there
- 26:12Speaker 2: are companies that you can have come out that we
- 26:15Speaker 2: used one for a while. I'm not sure if we
- 26:17Speaker 2: still are that will come out and how and they
- 26:19Speaker 2: really work. There's a lot of different ways. You have
- 26:22Speaker 2: those mosquito I love those mosquito zappers, those blue ultra
- 26:26Speaker 2: violet lights. You can hear the zip it. It's wonderful
- 26:30Speaker 2: to hear them. It's they're committing suicide on the mosquitos.
- 26:33Speaker 2: They think they're Japanese mosquitoes attacking Pearl Harbor, and they're
- 26:36Speaker 2: just wrong. Okay, we're done, guys.
- 26:40Speaker 5: You're going to get in the next one.
- 26:42Speaker 4: Which is the next one?
- 26:43Speaker 5: Oh you got another one?
- 26:45Speaker 4: Oh yeah, well of course. Okay, this is go ahead.
- 26:50Speaker 5: From high above Big Bear Lake. In the next one
- 26:53Speaker 5: hundred and forty five feet up an old tree, Jackie
- 26:57Speaker 5: has laid another egg and Shadow now have two eggs
- 27:02Speaker 5: after they had the ravens dismantle their first clutch oh Man.
- 27:08Speaker 3: All Right, if if that baby comes out looking like Kno,
- 27:11Speaker 3: I'm just gonna die.
- 27:13Speaker 4: We're gonna die.
- 27:14Speaker 3: All right.
- 27:14Speaker 4: This is KFI AM six forty. You've been listening to
- 27:18Speaker 4: the Bill Handle Show.
